Et Agrippa dit à Paul : Il t'est permis de parler pour toi-même. Alors Paul, ayant étendu la main, dit pour sa défense :

ENTONCES Agripa dijo á Pablo: Se te permite hablar por ti mismo. Pablo entonces, extendiendo la mano, comenzó á responder por sí, diciendo:

Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Thou art permitted to speak for thyself. Then Paul stretched forth the hand, and answered for himself:

Agrippa said to Paul, “You may speak for yourself.” Then Paul stretched out his hand, and made his defense.

Je m'estime heureux, roi Agrippa, d'avoir aujourd'hui à me défendre devant toi de toutes les choses dont je suis accusé par des Juifs ;

Acerca de todas las cosas de que soy acusado por los Judíos, oh rey Agripa, me tengo por dichoso de que haya hoy de defenderme delante de ti;

I think myself happy, king Agrippa, because I shall answer for myself this day before thee touching all the things whereof I am accused of the Jews:

“I think myself happy, King Agrippa, that I am to make my defense before you today concerning all the things that I am accused by the Jews,

surtout parce que tu connais parfaitement toutes les coutumes et toutes les discussions qui existent parmi les Juifs. C'est pourquoi je te prie de m'écouter avec patience.

Mayormente sabiendo tú todas las costumbres y cuestiones que hay entre los Judíos: por lo cual te ruego que me oigas con paciencia.

Especially because I know thee to be expert in all customs and questions which are among the Jews: wherefore I beseech thee to hear me patiently.

Ma manière de vivre donc dès ma jeunesse, telle qu'elle a été dès l'origine dans ma nation, à Jérusalem, tous les Juifs la savent ;

Mi vida pues desde la mocedad, la cual desde el principio fué en mi nación, en Jerusalem, todos los Judíos la saben:

My manner of life from my youth, which was at the first among mine own nation at Jerusalem, know all the Jews;

“Indeed, all the Jews know my way of life from my youth up, which was from the beginning among my own nation and at Jerusalem;

me connaissant depuis longtemps, ils peuvent, s'ils le veulent, rendre témoignage que j'ai vécu pharisien, selon la secte la plus exacte de notre religion.

Los cuales tienen ya conocido que yo desde el principio, si quieren testificarlo, conforme á la más rigurosa secta de nuestra religión he vivido Fariseo.

Which knew me from the beginning, if they would testify, that after the most straitest sect of our religion I lived a Pharisee.

having known me from the first, if they are willing to testify, that after the strictest sect of our religion I lived a Pharisee.

Et maintenant, je suis mis en jugement à cause de l'espérance en la promesse faite par Dieu à nos pères,

Y ahora, por la esperanza de la promesa que hizo Dios á nuestros padres, soy llamado en juicio;

And now I stand and am judged for the hope of the promise made of God unto our fathers:

Now I stand here to be judged for the hope of the promise made by God to our fathers,

et dont nos douze tribus, qui servent Dieu continuellement nuit et jour, espèrent voir l'accomplissement. C'est à cause de cette espérance que je suis accusé par des Juifs, ô roi !

A la cual promesa nuestras doce tribus, sirviendo constantemente de día y de noche, esperan que han de llegar. Por la cual esperanza, oh rey Agripa, soy acusado de los Judíos.

Unto which promise our twelve tribes, instantly serving God day and night, hope to come. For which hope’s sake, king Agrippa, I am accused of the Jews.

which our twelve tribes, earnestly serving night and day, hope to attain. Concerning this hope I am accused by the Jews, King Agrippa!

En quoi juge-t-on incroyable parmi vous que Dieu ressuscite des morts ?

¡Qué! ¿Júzgase cosa increíble entre vosotros que Dios resucite los muertos?

Why should it be thought a thing incredible with you, that God should raise the dead?

Why is it judged incredible with you if God does raise the dead?

Quant à moi donc, il est vrai que j'avais pensé en moi-même qu'il fallait agir beaucoup contre le nom de Jésus de Nazareth,

Yo ciertamente había pensado deber hacer muchas cosas contra el nombre de Jesús de Nazaret:

I verily thought with myself, that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth.

“I myself most certainly thought that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth.

ce que j'ai fait aussi à Jérusalem, et j'ai enfermé dans des prisons plusieurs des saints, en ayant reçu le pouvoir des principaux sacrificateurs ; et lorsqu'on les faisait mourir, j'y donnais mon suffrage ;

Lo cual también hice en Jerusalem, y yo encerré en cárceles á muchos de los santos, recibida potestad de los príncipes de los sacerdotes; y cuando eran matados, yo dí mi voto.

Which thing I also did in Jerusalem: and many of the saints did I shut up in prison, having received authority from the chief priests; and when they were put to death, I gave my voice against them.

et souvent, dans toutes les synagogues, en les punissant, je les contraignais de blasphémer ; et étant transporté contre eux d'une extrême fureur, je les persécutais jusque dans les villes étrangères.

Y muchas veces, castigándolos por todas las sinagogas, los forcé á blasfemar; y enfurecido sobremanera contra ellos, los perseguí hasta en las ciudades extrañas.

And I punished them oft in every synagogue, and compelled them to blaspheme; and being exceedingly mad against them, I persecuted them even unto strange cities.

Punishing them often in all the synagogues, I tried to make them blaspheme. Being exceedingly enraged against them, I persecuted them even to foreign cities.

Dans ces circonstances, me rendant à Damas, avec pouvoir et autorisation des principaux sacrificateurs,

En lo cual ocupado, yendo á Damasco con potestad y comisión de los príncipes de los sacerdotes,

Whereupon as I went to Damascus with authority and commission from the chief priests,

“Whereupon as I traveled to Damascus with the authority and commission from the chief priests,

au milieu du jour, je vis, ô roi, sur le chemin, une lumière qui venait du ciel, et dont l'éclat surpassait celui du soleil, resplendir autour de moi et de ceux qui faisaient route avec moi.

En mitad del día, oh rey, vi en el camino una luz del cielo, que sobrepujaba el resplandor del sol, la cual me rodeó y á los que iban conmigo.

At midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me and them which journeyed with me.

at noon, O king, I saw on the way a light from the sky, brighter than the sun, shining around me and those who traveled with me.

Et nous tous étant tombés par terre, j'entendis une voix qui me dit en langue hébraïque : Saul, Saul, pourquoi me persécutes-tu ? Il t'est dur de regimber contre les aiguillons.

Y habiendo caído todos nosotros en tierra, oí una voz que me hablaba, y decía en lengua hebraica: Saulo, Saulo, ¿por qué me persigues? Dura cosa te es dar coces contra los aguijones.

And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.

When we had all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice saying to me in the Hebrew language, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads.’

Mais moi je dis : Qui es-tu, Seigneur ? Et le Seigneur dit : Je suis Jésus, que tu persécutes.

Yo entonces dije: ¿Quién eres, Señor? Y el Señor dijo: Yo soy Jesús, á quien tú persigues.

And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.

“I said, ‘Who are you, Lord?’ “He said, ‘I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting.

Mais lève-toi, et tiens-toi sur tes pieds ; car voici pourquoi je te suis apparu : pour t'établir ministre et témoin, tant des choses que tu as vues que de celles pour lesquelles je t'apparaîtrai ;

Mas levántate, y ponte sobre tus pies; porque para esto te he aparecido, para ponerte por ministro y testigo de las cosas que has visto, y de aquellas en que apareceré á ti:

But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;

But arise, and stand on your feet, for I have appeared to you for this purpose: to appoint you a servant and a witness both of the things which you have seen and of the things which I will reveal to you;

en te délivrant de ce peuple et des païens, vers lesquels je t'envoie,

Librándote del pueblo y de los Gentiles, á los cuales ahora te envío,

Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee,

delivering you from the people and from the Gentiles, to whom I send you,

pour ouvrir leurs yeux, pour qu'ils se convertissent des ténèbres à la lumière et de la puissance de Satan à Dieu, pour qu'ils reçoivent, par la foi en moi, la rémission de leurs péchés et une part parmi ceux qui sont sanctifiés.

Para que abras sus ojos, para que se conviertan de las tinieblas á la luz, y de la potestad de Satanás á Dios; para que reciban, por la fe que es en mí, remisión de pecados y suerte entre los santificados.

To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

to open their eyes, that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive remission of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’

En conséquence, ô roi Agrippa, je ne résistai point à la vision céleste ;

Por lo cual, oh rey Agripa, no fuí rebelde á la visión celestial:

Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision:

“Therefore, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision,

mais à ceux de Damas premièrement, et ensuite à Jérusalem, et dans tout le territoire de la Judée, et aux païens, je prêchais de se repentir, et de se convertir à Dieu, en faisant des œuvres dignes de la repentance.

Antes anuncié primeramente á los que están en Damasco, y Jerusalem, y por toda la tierra de Judea, y á los Gentiles, que se arrepintiesen y se convirtiesen á Dios, haciendo obras dignas de arrepentimiento.

But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judæa, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.

but declared first to them of Damascus, at Jerusalem, and throughout all the country of Judea, and also to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, doing works worthy of repentance.

C'est à cause de ces choses que des Juifs, s'étant emparés de moi dans le temple, cherchaient à me tuer.

Por causa de esto los Judíos, tomándome en el templo, tentaron matarme.

For these causes the Jews caught me in the temple, and went about to kill me.

For this reason the Jews seized me in the temple and tried to kill me.

Mais ayant obtenu le secours qui vient de Dieu, j'ai subsisté jusqu'à aujourd'hui, rendant témoignage aux petits et aux grands, ne disant rien en dehors de ce que les prophètes et Moïse ont prédit devoir arriver ;

Mas ayudado del auxilio de Dios, persevero hasta el día de hoy, dando testimonio á pequeños y á grandes, no diciendo nada fuera de las cosas que los profetas y Moisés dijeron que habían de venir:

Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come:

Having therefore obtained the help that is from God, I stand to this day testifying both to small and great, saying nothing but what the prophets and Moses said would happen,

que le Christ devait souffrir, et qu'étant le premier ressuscité d'entre les morts, il devait annoncer la lumière au peuple et aux païens.

Que Cristo había de padecer, y ser el primero de la resurrección de los muertos, para anunciar luz al pueblo y á los Gentiles.

That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.

how the Christ must suffer, and how, by the resurrection of the dead, he would be first to proclaim light both to these people and to the Gentiles.”

Or comme il parlait ainsi pour sa défense, Festus dit à haute voix : Tu es hors de sens, Paul ; ton grand savoir te met hors de sens.

Y diciendo él estas cosas en su defensa, Festo á gran voz dijo: Estás loco, Pablo: las muchas letras te vuelven loco.

And as he thus spake for himself, Festus said with a loud voice, Paul, thou art beside thyself; much learning doth make thee mad.

As he thus made his defense, Festus said with a loud voice, “Paul, you are crazy! Your great learning is driving you insane!”

Et Paul dit : Je ne suis point hors de sens, très excellent Festus, mais je prononce des paroles de vérité et de bon sens.

Mas él dijo: No estoy loco, excelentísimo Festo, sino que hablo palabras de verdad y de templanza.

But he said, I am not mad, most noble Festus; but speak forth the words of truth and soberness.

But he said, “I am not crazy, most excellent Festus, but boldly declare words of truth and reasonableness.

Car il est bien informé de ces choses, le roi à qui aussi je parle avec assurance ; je suis persuadé qu'il n'ignore rien de ces choses ; car ceci ne s'est pas passé en cachette.

Pues el rey sabe estas cosas, delante del cual también hablo confiadamente. Pues no pienso que ignora nada de esto; pues no ha sido esto hecho en algún rincón.

For the king knoweth of these things, before whom also I speak freely: for I am persuaded that none of these things are hidden from him; for this thing was not done in a corner.

For the king knows of these things, to whom also I speak freely. For I am persuaded that none of these things is hidden from him, for this has not been done in a corner.

Crois-tu aux prophètes, roi Agrippa ? Je sais que tu y crois.

¿Crees, rey Agripa, á los profetas? Yo sé que crees.

King Agrippa, believest thou the prophets? I know that thou believest.

King Agrippa, do you believe the prophets? I know that you believe.”

Et Agrippa répondit à Paul : Il s'en faut peu que tu me persuades de me faire chrétien.

Entonces Agripa dijo á Pablo: Por poco me persuades á ser Cristiano.

Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian.

Agrippa said to Paul, “With a little persuasion are you trying to make me a Christian?”

Mais Paul dit : Qu'il s'en faille peu ou beaucoup plaise à Dieu que, non seulement toi, mais aussi tous ceux qui m'écoutent aujourd'hui vous deveniez tels que je suis, à l'exception de ces liens !

Y Pablo dijo: ¡Pluguiese á Dios que por poco ó por mucho, no solamente tú, mas también todos los que hoy me oyen, fueseis hechos tales cual yo soy, excepto estas prisiones!

And Paul said, I would to God, that not only thou, but also all that hear me this day, were both almost, and altogether such as I am, except these bonds.

Paul said, “I pray to God, that whether with little or with much, not only you, but also all that hear me today, might become such as I am, except for these bonds.”

Et le roi se leva, et le gouverneur, et Bérénice, et ceux qui étaient assis avec eux.

Y como hubo dicho estas cosas, se levantó el rey, y el presidente, y Bernice, y los que se habían sentado con ellos;

And when he had thus spoken, the king rose up, and the governor, and Bernice, and they that sat with them:

The king rose up with the governor and Bernice, and those who sat with them.

Et s'étant retirés à part, ils parlaient entre eux disant : Cet homme n'a rien fait qui soit digne de mort ou de liens.

Y como se retiraron aparte, hablaban los unos á los otros, diciendo: Ninguna cosa digna ni de muerte, ni de prisión, hace este hombre.

And when they were gone aside, they talked between themselves, saying, This man doeth nothing worthy of death or of bonds.

When they had withdrawn, they spoke to one another, saying, “This man does nothing worthy of death or of bonds.”

Et Agrippa dit à Festus : Cet homme pouvait être mis en liberté, s'il n'en eût appelé à César.

Y Agripa dijo á Festo: Podía este hombre ser suelto, si no hubiera apelado á César.

Then said Agrippa unto Festus, This man might have been set at liberty, if he had not appealed unto Cæsar.

Agrippa said to Festus, “This man might have been set free if he had not appealed to Caesar.”
