Er aber sprach: Mein teurer Festus, ich rase nicht, sondern ich rede wahre und vernünftige Worte.
Librándote del pueblo y de los Gentiles, á los cuales ahora te envío,

Agrippa aber sprach zu Festus: Dieser Mensch hätte können losgegeben werden, wenn er sich nicht auf den Kaiser berufen hätte.
Y diciendo él estas cosas en su defensa, Festo á gran voz dijo: Estás loco, Pablo: las muchas letras te vuelven loco.
And as he thus spake for himself, Festus said with a loud voice, Paul, thou art beside thyself; much learning doth make thee mad.
As he thus made his defense, Festus said with a loud voice, “Paul, you are crazy! Your great learning is driving you insane!”
Da es aber beschlossen war, daß wir nach Welschland schiffen sollten, übergaben sie Paulus und etliche andere Gefangene dem Unterhauptmann mit Namen Julius von der kaiserlichen Schar.
Mas él dijo: No estoy loco, excelentísimo Festo, sino que hablo palabras de verdad y de templanza.

Und kamen des andern Tages an zu Sidon. Und Julius hielt sich freundlich gegen Paulus, erlaubte ihm, zu seinen guten Freunden zu gehen und seiner zu pflegen:
¿Crees, rey Agripa, á los profetas? Yo sé que crees.
King Agrippa, believest thou the prophets? I know that thou believest.

Und von dannen stießen wir ab und schifften unter Zypern hin, darum daß uns die Winde entgegen waren.
Entonces Agripa dijo á Pablo: Por poco me persuades á ser Cristiano.
Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian.

Und schiffeten auf dem Meer vor Zilizien und Pamphylien über und kamen gen Myra in Lyzien.
Y Pablo dijo: ¡Pluguiese á Dios que por poco ó por mucho, no solamente tú, mas también todos los que hoy me oyen, fueseis hechos tales cual yo soy, excepto estas prisiones!
And Paul said, I would to God, that not only thou, but also all that hear me this day, were both almost, and altogether such as I am, except these bonds.
Paul said, “I pray to God, that whether with little or with much, not only you, but also all that hear me today, might become such as I am, except for these bonds.”
Und daselbst fand der Unterhauptmann ein Schiff von Alexandrien; das schiffte nach Welschland und lud uns darauf.

And when he had thus spoken, the king rose up, and the governor, and Bernice, and they that sat with them:

Da wir aber langsam schifften und in viel Tagen kaum gegen Knidus kamen (denn der Wind wehrete uns), schifften wir unter Kreta hin nach der Stadt Salmone.
