Et le navire étant emporté par le vent, de telle sorte qu’il ne pouvait point résister, nous fûmes emportés, ayant abandonné le navire au vent.

Y siendo arrebatada la nave, y no pudiendo resistir contra el viento, la dejamos, y éramos llevados.

And when the ship was caught, and could not bear up into the wind, we let her drive.

When the ship was caught and couldn’t face the wind, we gave way to it and were driven along.
