Fue violentamente arrebatada, y no se pudo colocar la proa al viento. Cedimos a la tempestad y éramos llevados a la deriva.

Y siendo arrebatada la nave, y no pudiendo resistir contra el viento, la dejamos, y éramos llevados.

And when the ship was caught, and could not bear up into the wind, we let her drive.

When the ship was caught and couldn’t face the wind, we gave way to it and were driven along.
