Mais comme nous étions violemment battus par la tempête, le jour suivant, ils jetaient une partie de la cargaison.

Mas siendo atormentados de una vehemente tempestad, al siguiente día alijaron;

And we being exceedingly tossed with a tempest, the next day they lightened the ship;
