Alzadas, pues, las anclas, se abandonaban a la corriente del mar, aflojando al mismo tiempo las cuerdas de las dos planchas del timón; y alzada la vela del artimón, o de la popa, para tomar el viento preciso, se dirigían hacia la playa.
Cortando pues las anclas, las dejaron en la mar, largando también las ataduras de los gobernalles; y alzada la vela mayor al viento, íbanse á la orilla.
And when they had taken up the anchors, they committed themselves unto the sea, and loosed the rudder bands, and hoised up the mainsail to the wind, and made toward shore.
Casting off the anchors, they left them in the sea, at the same time untying the rudder ropes. Hoisting up the foresail to the wind, they made for the beach.
