Así que cortaron las cuerdas que sostenían las anclas, y las dejaron en el mar. Al mismo tiempo desataron las cuerdas que sostenían los timones, elevaron el trinquete al viento, y llegaron a la playa.

Cortando pues las anclas, las dejaron en la mar, largando también las ataduras de los gobernalles; y alzada la vela mayor al viento, íbanse á la orilla.

And when they had taken up the anchors, they committed themselves unto the sea, and loosed the rudder bands, and hoised up the mainsail to the wind, and made toward shore.

Casting off the anchors, they left them in the sea, at the same time untying the rudder ropes. Hoisting up the foresail to the wind, they made for the beach.
