Pero al caer en un lugar de corrientes cruzadas, encallaron la nave. Mientras la proa se clavó y quedó inmóvil, la popa era azotada por la violencia de las olas.

Mas dando en un lugar de dos aguas, hicieron encallar la nave; y la proa, hincada, estaba sin moverse, y la popa se abría con la fuerza de la mar.

And falling into a place where two seas met, they ran the ship aground; and the forepart stuck fast, and remained unmoveable, but the hinder part was broken with the violence of the waves.
