Perto da praia onde descemos havia uma fazenda de propriedade de Públio, o homem principal da ilha. Ele nos recebeu em sua casa e nos deu comida durante três dias.

En aquellos lugares había heredades del principal de la isla, llamado Publio, el cual nos recibió y hospedó tres días humanamente.

In the same quarters were possessions of the chief man of the island, whose name was Publius; who received us, and lodged us three days courteously.

Now in the neighborhood of that place were lands belonging to the chief man of the island, named Publius, who received us and courteously entertained us for three days.
