Cuando llegó el día de Pentecostés, estaban todos unánimes juntos.

cretenses y árabes, les oímos hablar en nuestras lenguas las maravillas de Dios.

Y estaban todos atónitos y perplejos, diciéndose unos a otros: ¿Qué quiere decir esto?

‘It will be in the last days, says God, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh. Your sons and your daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see visions. Your old men will dream dreams.

The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:

And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Varones Israelitas, escuchen estas palabras: Jesús nazareno, varón aprobado por Dios entre ustedes con las capacidades †potencia, fuerza, maravillas †prodigios, cosas extraordinarias y señales que Dios hizo entre ustedes por medio de él, como ustedes mismos saben;

“Men of Israel, hear these words! Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved by God to you by mighty works and wonders and signs which God did by him among you, even as you yourselves know,

a éste, entregado por el determinado consejo y anticipado conocimiento de Dios, prendieron y mataron por manos de inicuos †violadores de la ley, ilegales, los que andan sin ley, crucificándole;

Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:

al cual Dios levantó, sueltos los dolores de la muerte, por cuanto era imposible que fuese retenido por ella.

Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.

Varones hermanos, se les puede decir libremente del patriarca David, que murió y fue sepultado, y su sepulcro está con nosotros hasta el día de hoy.

Pero siendo profeta, y sabiendo que con juramento Dios le había jurado que de «su descendencia,» en cuanto a la carne, levantaría al Cristo para que se sentase en su trono,

He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.

Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

Al oír esto, se compungieron de corazón, y dijeron a Pedro y a los otros apóstoles: Varones hermanos, ¿qué haremos?

Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

Pedro les dijo: Arrepiéntanse, y bautícese cada uno de ustedes en el nombre de Jesús, el Cristo para perdón de los pecados; y recibirán el don del Espíritu Santo.

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
