E eles o reconheceram, que este era o que se sentava para pedir esmola perto da porta formosa do Templo; e ficaram cheios de surpresa e espanto, por causa do que tinha lhe acontecido.

Y conocían que él era el que se sentaba á la limosna á la puerta del templo, la Hermosa: y fueron llenos de asombro y de espanto por lo que le había acontecido.

And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him.

They recognized him, that it was he who used to sit begging for gifts for the needy at the Beautiful Gate of the temple. They were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.
