1OR Pietro e Giovanni salivano insieme al tempio, in su l'ora nona, che è l'ora dell'orazione.
2E si portava un certo uomo, zoppo dal seno di sua madre, il quale ogni giorno era posto alla porta del tempio detta Bella, per chieder limosina a coloro che entravano nel tempio.
3Costui, avendo veduto Pietro e Giovanni, che erano per entrar nel tempio, domandò loro la limosina.
4E Pietro, con Giovanni, affissati in lui gli occhi, disse: Riguarda a noi.
5Ed egli li riguardava intentamente, aspettando di ricever qualche cosa da loro.
6Ma Pietro disse: Io non ho nè argento, nè oro; ma quel ch'io ho io tel dono: nel nome di Gesù Cristo, il Nazareo, levati, e cammina.
7E presolo per la man destra, lo levò; ed in quello stante, le sue piante e caviglie si raffermarono.
8Ed egli d'un salto si rizzò in piè, e camminava; ed entrò con loro nel tempio, camminando, e saltando, e lodando Iddio.
9E tutto il popolo lo vide camminare, e lodare Iddio.
10E lo riconoscevano, che egli era quel che sedeva in su la Bella porta del tempio, per chieder limosina; e furono ripieni di sbigottimento, e di stupore, per ciò che gli era avvenuto.
11E mentre quello zoppo ch'era stato sanato teneva abbracciato Pietro e Giovanni; tutto il popolo attonito concorse a loro al portico detto di Salomone.
12E Pietro, veduto ciò, parlò al popolo, dicendo: Uomini Israeliti, perchè vi maravigliate di questo? ovvero, che fissate in noi gli occhi, come se per la nostra propria virtù, o santità, avessimo fatto che costui cammini?
13L'Iddio di Abrahamo, e d'Isacco, e di Giacobbe, l'Iddio dei nostri padri, ha glorificato il suo Figliuol Gesù, il qual voi metteste in man di Pilato, e rinnegaste davanti a lui, benchè egli giudicasse ch'egli dovesse esser liberato.
14Ma voi rinnegaste il Santo, e il Giusto, e chiedeste che vi fosse donato un micidiale.
15Ed uccideste il Principe della vita, il quale Iddio ha suscitato da' morti; di che noi siam testimoni.
16E per la fede nel nome d'esso, il nome suo ha raffermato costui il qual voi vedete, e conoscete; e la fede ch' è per esso gli ha data questa intiera disposizion di membra, in presenza di tutti voi.
17Ma ora, fratelli, io so che lo faceste per ignoranza, come anche i vostri rettori.
18Ma Iddio ha adempiute in questa maniera le cose ch'egli avea innanzi annunziate per la bocca di tutti i suoi profeti, cioè: che il suo Cristo sofferirebbe.
19Ravvedetevi adunque, e convertitevi; acciocchè i vostri peccati sien cancellati, e tempi di refrigerio vengano dalla presenza del Signore,
20ed egli vi mandi Gesù Cristo, che vi è stato destinato;
21il qual conviene che il cielo tenga accolto, fino a' tempi del ristoramento di tutte le cose; de' quali Iddio ha parlato per la bocca di tutti i suoi santi profeti, fin dal principio del mondo.
22Perciocchè Mosè stesso disse a' padri: Il Signore Iddio vostro vi susciterà un profeta, d'infra i vostri fratelli, come me; ascoltatelo in tutte le cose ch'egli vi dirà.
23Ed avverrà che ogni anima, che non avrà ascoltato quel profeta, sarà distrutta d'infra il popolo.
24Ed anche tutti i profeti, fin da Samuele, e ne' tempi seguenti, quanti hanno parlato hanno eziandio annunziati questi giorni.
25Voi siete i figliuoli de' profeti, e del patto che Iddio fece co' nostri padri, dicendo ad Abrahamo: E nella tua progenie tutte le nazioni della terra saranno benedette.
26A voi per i primi, Iddio, dopo aver suscitato Gesù suo Servitore, l'ha mandato per benedirvi, convertendo ciascuno di voi dalle sue malvagità.

1PEDRO y Juan subían juntos al templo á la hora de oración, la de nona.
2Y un hombre que era cojo desde el vientre de su madre, era traído; al cual ponían cada día á la puerta del templo que se llama la Hermosa, para que pidiese limosna de los que entraban en el templo.
3Este, como vió á Pedro y á Juan que iban á entrar en el templo, rogaba que le diesen limosna.
4Y Pedro, con Juan, fijando los ojos en él, dijo: Mira á nosotros.
5Entonces él estuvo atento á ellos, esperando recibir de ellos algo.
6Y Pedro dijo: Ni tengo plata ni oro; mas lo que tengo te doy: en el nombre de Jesucristo de Nazaret, levántate y anda.
7Y tomándole por la mano derecha le levantó: y luego fueron afirmados sus pies y tobillos;
8Y saltando, se puso en pie, y anduvo; y entró con ellos en el templo, andando, y saltando, y alabando á Dios.
9Y todo el pueblo le vió andar y alabar á Dios.
10Y conocían que él era el que se sentaba á la limosna á la puerta del templo, la Hermosa: y fueron llenos de asombro y de espanto por lo que le había acontecido.
11Y teniendo á Pedro y á Juan el cojo que había sido sanado, todo el pueblo concurrió á ellos al pórtico que se llama de Salomón, atónitos.
12Y viendo esto Pedro, respondió al pueblo: Varones Israelitas, ¿por qué os maravilláis de esto? ó ¿por qué ponéis los ojos en nosotros, como si con nuestra virtud ó piedad hubiésemos hecho andar á éste?
13El Dios de Abraham, y de Isaac, y de Jacob, el Dios de nuestros padres ha glorificado á su Hijo Jesús, al cual vosotros entregasteis, y negasteis delante de Pilato, juzgando él que había de ser suelto.
14Mas vosotros al Santo y al Justo negasteis, y pedisteis que se os diese un homicida;
15Y matasteis al Autor de la vida, al cual Dios ha resucitado de los muertos; de lo que nosotros somos testigos.
16Y en la fe de su nombre, á éste que vosotros veis y conocéis, ha confirmado su nombre: y la fe que por él es, ha dado á éste esta completa sanidad en presencia de todos vosotros.
17Mas ahora, hermanos, sé que por ignorancia lo habéis hecho, como también vuestros príncipes.
18Empero Dios ha cumplido así lo que había antes anunciado por boca de todos sus profetas, que su Cristo había de padecer.
19Así que, arrepentíos y convertíos, para que sean borrados vuestros pecados; pues que vendrán los tiempos del refrigerio de la presencia del Señor,
20Y enviará á Jesucristo, que os fué antes anunciado:
21Al cual de cierto es menester que el cielo tenga hasta los tiempos de la restauración de todas las cosas, que habló Dios por boca de sus santos profetas que han sido desde el siglo.
22Porque Moisés dijo á los padres: El Señor vuestro Dios os levantará profeta de vuestros hermanos, como yo; á él oiréis en todas las cosas que os hablare.
23Y será, que cualquiera alma que no oyere á aquel profeta, será desarraigada del pueblo.
24Y todos los profetas desde Samuel y en adelante, todos los que han hablado, han anunciado estos días.
25Vosotros sois los hijos de los profetas, y del pacto que Dios concertó con nuestros padres, diciendo á Abraham: Y en tu simiente serán benditas todas las familias de la tierra.
26A vosotros primeramente, Dios, habiendo levantado á su Hijo, le envió para que os bendijese, á fin de que cada uno se convierta de su maldad.

1Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.
2And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;
3Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms.
4And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.
5And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.
6Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.
7And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.
8And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.
9And all the people saw him walking and praising God:
10And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him.
11And as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon’s, greatly wondering.
12And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?
13The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go.
14But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you;
15And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.
16And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.
17And now, brethren, I wot that through ignorance ye did it, as did also your rulers.
18But those things, which God before had shewed by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled.
19Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;
20And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:
21Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.
22For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.
23And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.
24Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days.
25Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed.
26Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.

1Peter and John were going up into the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour.
2A certain man who was lame from his mother’s womb was being carried, whom they laid daily at the door of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask gifts for the needy of those who entered into the temple.
3Seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, he asked to receive gifts for the needy.
4Peter, fastening his eyes on him, with John, said, “Look at us.”
5He listened to them, expecting to receive something from them.
6But Peter said, “I have no silver or gold, but what I have, that I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, get up and walk!”
7He took him by the right hand and raised him up. Immediately his feet and his ankle bones received strength.
8Leaping up, he stood and began to walk. He entered with them into the temple, walking, leaping, and praising God.
9All the people saw him walking and praising God.
10They recognized him, that it was he who used to sit begging for gifts for the needy at the Beautiful Gate of the temple. They were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.
11As the lame man who was healed held on to Peter and John, all the people ran together to them in the porch that is called Solomon’s, greatly wondering.
12When Peter saw it, he responded to the people, “You men of Israel, why do you marvel at this man? Why do you fasten your eyes on us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made him walk?
13The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his Servant Jesus, whom you delivered up and denied in the presence of Pilate, when he had determined to release him.
14But you denied the Holy and Righteous One and asked for a murderer to be granted to you,
15and killed the Prince of life, whom God raised from the dead, to which we are witnesses.
16By faith in his name, his name has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which is through him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.
17“Now, brothers, I know that you did this in ignorance, as did also your rulers.
18But the things which God announced by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he thus fulfilled.
19“Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord,
20and that he may send Christ Jesus, who was ordained for you before,
21whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God spoke long ago by the mouth of his holy prophets.
22For Moses indeed said to the fathers, ‘The Lord God will raise up a prophet for you from among your brothers, like me. You shall listen to him in all things whatever he says to you.
23It will be that every soul that will not listen to that prophet will be utterly destroyed from among the people.’
24Yes, and all the prophets from Samuel and those who followed after, as many as have spoken, also told of these days.
25You are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying to Abraham, ‘All the families of the earth will be blessed through your offspring.’
26God, having raised up his servant Jesus, sent him to you first to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your wickedness.”
