Und es begab sich über eine Weile, bei drei Stunden, kam sein Weib hinein und wußte nicht, was geschehen war.

Und alsbald fiel sie zu seinen Füßen und gab den Geist auf. Da kamen die Jünglinge und fanden sie tot, trugen sie hinaus und begruben sie bei ihrem Mann.

Reteniéndola, ¿no se te quedaba á ti? y vendida, ¿no estaba en tu potestad? ¿Por qué pusiste esto en tu corazón? No has mentido á los hombres, sino á Dios.

Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.

While you kept it, didn’t it remain your own? After it was sold, wasn’t it in your power? How is it that you have conceived this thing in your heart? You haven’t lied to men, but to God.”

Und es kam eine große Furcht über die ganze Gemeinde und über alle, die solches höreten.

Entonces Ananías, oyendo estas palabras, cayó y espiró. Y vino un gran temor sobre todos los que lo oyeron.

And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things.

Es geschahen aber viel Zeichen und Wunder im Volk durch der Apostel Hände, und waren alle in der Halle Salomos einmütiglich.

And Peter answered unto her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much? And she said, Yea, for so much.

also daß sie die Kranken auf die Gassen heraustrugen und legeten sie auf Betten und Bahren, auf daß, wenn Petrus käme, sein Schatten ihrer etliche überschattete.

Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out.

Es kamen auch herzu viele von den umliegenden Städten gen Jerusalem und brachten die Kranken, und die von unsaubern Geistern gepeiniget waren; und wurden alle gesund.

Y vino un gran temor en toda la iglesia, y en todos los que oyeron estas cosas.

And great fear came upon all the church, and upon as many as heard these things.

und legten die Hände an die Apostel und warfen sie in das gemeine Gefängnis.

Aber der Engel des HERRN tat in der Nacht die Tür des Gefängnisses auf und führete sie heraus und sprach:

Da sie das gehört hatten, gingen sie früh in den Tempel und lehreten. Der Hohepriester aber kam, und die mit ihm waren, und riefen zusammen den Rat und alle Ältesten der Kinder von Israel und sandten hin zum Gefängnis, sie zu holen.

Tanto que echaban los enfermos por las calles, y los ponían en camas y en lechos, para que viniendo Pedro, á lo menos su sombra tocase á alguno de ellos.

Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them.

Die Diener aber kamen dar und fanden sie nicht im Gefängnis, kamen wieder und verkündigten

und sprachen: Das Gefängnis fanden wir verschlossen mit allem Fleiß und die Hüter außen stehen vor den Türen; aber da wir auftaten, fanden wir niemand drinnen.

Da diese Rede höreten der Hohepriester und der Hauptmann des Tempels und andere Hohepriester, wurden sie darüber betreten, was doch das werden wollte.

Y oído que hubieron esto, entraron de mañana en el templo, y enseñaban. Entre tanto, viniendo el príncipe de los sacerdotes, y los que eran con él, convocaron el concilio, y á todos los ancianos de los hijos de Israel, y enviaron á la cárcel para que fuesen traídos.

And when they heard that, they entered into the temple early in the morning, and taught. But the high priest came, and they that were with him, and called the council together, and all the senate of the children of Israel, and sent to the prison to have them brought.

und sprach: Haben wir euch nicht mit Ernst geboten, daß ihr nicht sollt lehren in diesem Namen? Und sehet, ihr habt Jerusalem erfüllet mit eurer Lehre und wollt dieses Menschen Blut über uns führen.

Petrus aber antwortete und die Apostel und sprachen: Man muß Gott mehr gehorchen denn den Menschen.

Saying, The prison truly found we shut with all safety, and the keepers standing without before the doors: but when we had opened, we found no man within.

“We found the prison shut and locked, and the guards standing before the doors, but when we opened them, we found no one inside!”

Der Gott unserer Väter hat Jesum auferwecket, welchen ihr erwürget habt und an das Holz gehänget.

Y cuando oyeron estas palabras el pontífice y el magistrado del templo y los príncipes de los sacerdotes, dudaban en qué vendría á parar aquello.

Now when the high priest and the captain of the temple and the chief priests heard these things, they doubted of them whereunto this would grow.

Den hat Gott durch seine rechte Hand erhöhet zu einem Fürsten und Heiland, zu geben Israel Buße und Vergebung der Sünden.

Pero viniendo uno, dióles esta noticia: He aquí, los varones que echasteis en la cárcel, están en el templo, y enseñan al pueblo.

Then came one and told them, saying, Behold, the men whom ye put in prison are standing in the temple, and teaching the people.

Und wir sind seine Zeugen über diese Worte und der Heilige Geist, welchen Gott gegeben hat denen, die ihm gehorchen.

Diciendo: ¿No os denunciamos estrechamente, que no enseñaseis en este nombre? y he aquí, habéis llenado á Jerusalem de vuestra doctrina, y queréis echar sobre nosotros la sangre de este hombre.

Saying, Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man’s blood upon us.

saying, “Didn’t we strictly command you not to teach in this name? Behold, you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching, and intend to bring this man’s blood on us.”

und sprach zu ihnen: Ihr Männer von Israel, nehmet euer selbst wahr an diesen Menschen, was ihr tun sollt.

Y respondiendo Pedro y los apóstoles, dijeron: Es menester obedecer á Dios antes que á los hombres.

Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

Sie gingen aber fröhlich von des Rats Angesicht, daß sie würdig gewesen waren, um seines Namens willen Schmach zu leiden;

und höreten nicht auf alle Tage im Tempel und hin und her in Häusern zu lehren und zu predigen das Evangelium von Jesu Christo.

Porque antes de estos días se levantó Teudas, diciendo que era alguien; al que se agregó un número de hombres como cuatrocientos: el cual fué matado; y todos los que le creyeron fueron dispersos, y reducidos á nada.

Da riefen die Zwölfe die Menge der Jünger zusammen und sprachen: Es taugt nicht, daß wir das Wort Gottes unterlassen und zu Tische dienen.

And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought:

Darum, ihr lieben Brüder, sehet unter euch nach sieben Männern, die ein gut Gerücht haben und voll Heiligen Geistes und Weisheit sind, welche wir bestellen mögen zu dieser Notdurft.

Wir aber wollen anhalten am Gebet und am Amt des Worts.

Und die Rede gefiel der ganzen Menge wohl, und erwähleten Stephanus, einen Mann voll Glaubens und Heiligen Geistes, und Philippus und Prochorus und Nikanor und Timon und Parmenas und Nikolaus, den Judengenossen von Antiochien.

Diese stelleten sie vor die Apostel und beteten und legten die Hände auf sie.
