Sobreveio, porém, fome em todo o Egito e Canaã, houve grande sofrimento e nossos pais não encontravam comida.

Vino entonces hambre en toda la tierra de Egipto y de Canaán, y grande tribulación; y nuestros padres no hallaban alimentos.
