EL príncipe de los sacerdotes dijo entonces: ¿Es esto así?
Then said the high priest, Are these things so?

E ele disse: Homens irmãos e pais, ouvi: o Deus da glória apareceu a nosso pai Abraão, estando ele na Mesopotâmia, antes de habitar em Harã;
Y él dijo: Varones hermanos y padres, oid: El Dios de la gloria apareció á nuestro padre Abraham, estando en Mesopotamia, antes que morase en Chârán,
And he said, Men, brethren, and fathers, hearken; The God of glory appeared unto our father Abraham, when he was in Mesopotamia, before he dwelt in Charran,
He said, “Brothers and fathers, listen. The God of glory appeared to our father Abraham when he was in Mesopotamia, before he lived in Haran,
E disse-lhe: Sai de tua terra, e de tua parentela, e vem a terra que eu te mostrarei.
Y le dijo: Sal de tu tierra y de tu parentela, y ven á la tierra que te mostraré.
And said unto him, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and come into the land which I shall shew thee.
and said to him, ‘Get out of your land and away from your relatives, and come into a land which I will show you.’
Então ele saiu da terra dos caldeus, e habitou em Harã. E dali, depois que morreu seu pai, ele partiu para esta terra, em que agora vós habitais.
Entonces salió de la tierra de los Caldeos, y habitó en Chârán: y de allí, muerto su padre, le traspasó á esta tierra, en la cual vosotros habitáis ahora;
Then came he out of the land of the Chaldæans, and dwelt in Charran: and from thence, when his father was dead, he removed him into this land, wherein ye now dwell.
Then he came out of the land of the Chaldaeans and lived in Haran. From there, when his father was dead, God moved him into this land where you are now living.
E Deus não lhe deu herança nela, nem mesmo a pegada de um pé; mas prometeu que a daria a ele em propriedade, e a sua semente depois dele, não tendo ele filho ainda .
Y no le dió herencia en ella, ni aun para asentar un pie: mas le prometió que se la daría en posesión, y á su simiente después de él, no teniendo hijo.
And he gave him none inheritance in it, no, not so much as to set his foot on: yet he promised that he would give it to him for a possession, and to his seed after him, when as yet he had no child.

E Deus falou assim: Tua semente será peregrina em terra alheia, e a escravizarão, e a maltratarão por quatrocentos anos.
Y hablóle Dios así: Que su simiente sería extranjera en tierra ajena, y que los reducirían á servidumbre y maltratarían, por cuatrocientos años.
And God spake on this wise, That his seed should sojourn in a strange land; and that they should bring them into bondage, and entreat them evil four hundred years.
God spoke in this way: that his offspring would live as aliens in a strange land, and that they would be enslaved and mistreated for four hundred years.
E à nação a quem eles servirem, eu a julgarei, (disse Deus). E depois disso eles sairão, e me servirão neste lugar.
Mas yo juzgaré, dijo Dios, la nación á la cual serán siervos: y después de esto saldrán y me servirán en este lugar.
And the nation to whom they shall be in bondage will I judge, said God: and after that shall they come forth, and serve me in this place.
‘I will judge the nation to which they will be in bondage,’ said God, ‘and after that they will come out and serve me in this place.’
E ele lhe deu o pacto da circuncisão; e assim gerou a Isaque, e o circuncidou ao oitavo dia; e Isaque gerou a Jacó, e Jacó aos doze patriarcas.
Y dióle el pacto de la circuncisión: y así Abraham engendró á Isaac, y le circuncidó al octavo día; é Isaac á Jacob, y Jacob á los doce patriarcas.
And he gave him the covenant of circumcision: and so Abraham begat Isaac, and circumcised him the eighth day; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat the twelve patriarchs.

E os patriarcas, tendo inveja de José, venderam -no ao Egito; mas Deus era com ele.
Y los patriarcas, movidos de envidia, vendieron á José para Egipto; mas Dios era con él,
And the patriarchs, moved with envy, sold Joseph into Egypt: but God was with him,

E o livrou de todas as suas aflições, e lhe deu graça e sabedoria diante de Faraó, rei do Egito; e o pôs por governador sobre o Egito, e toda a sua casa.
Y le libró de todas sus tribulaciones, y le dió gracia y sabiduría en la presencia de Faraón, rey de Egipto, el cual le puso por gobernador sobre Egipto, y sobre toda su casa.
And delivered him out of all his afflictions, and gave him favour and wisdom in the sight of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and he made him governor over Egypt and all his house.

E veio fome sobre toda a terra do Egito e de Canaã, e grande aflição; e nossos pais não achavam alimentos.

Now there came a dearth over all the land of Egypt and Chanaan, and great affliction: and our fathers found no sustenance.

Mas Jacó, ao ouvir que havia cereal no Egito, ele enviou nossos pais a primeira vez.
Y como oyese Jacob que había trigo en Egipto, envió á nuestros padres la primera vez.

E na segunda vez ,José foi reconhecido pelos seus irmãos, e a família de José foi conhecia por Faraó.

E José mandou chamar a seu pai Jacó, e toda a sua parentela, setenta e cinco almas.
Y enviando José, hizo venir á su padre Jacob, y á toda su parentela, en número de setenta y cinco personas.
Then sent Joseph, and called his father Jacob to him, and all his kindred, threescore and fifteen souls.

E Jacó desceu ao Egito, e morreu; ele, e nossos pais;

E foram levados a Siquém, e postos na sepultura que Abraão, por uma quantia em dinheiro, tinha comprado dos filhos de Emor em Siquém.
Los cuales fueron trasladados á Sichêm, y puestos en el sepulcro que compró Abraham á precio de dinero de los hijos de Hemor de Sichêm.
And were carried over into Sychem, and laid in the sepulchre that Abraham bought for a sum of money of the sons of Emmor the father of Sychem.
and they were brought back to Shechem and laid in the tomb that Abraham bought for a price in silver from the children of Hamor of Shechem.
Mas quando chegou perto o tempo da promessa que Deus tinha prometido a Abraão, o povo cresceu e se multiplicou no Egito.
Mas como se acercaba el tiempo de la promesa, la cual Dios había jurado á Abraham, el pueblo creció y multiplicóse en Egipto,
But when the time of the promise drew nigh, which God had sworn to Abraham, the people grew and multiplied in Egypt,

Até que se levantou outro rei, que não tinha conhecido a José.
Hasta que se levantó otro rey en Egipto que no conocía á José.
Till another king arose, which knew not Joseph.
until there arose a different king who didn’t know Joseph.
Este, usando de astúcia para com nossa parentela, maltratou a nossos pais, até fazendo com que eles rejeitassem suas crianças, para que não sobrevivessem.
Este, usando de astucia con nuestro linaje, maltrató á nuestros padres, á fin de que pusiesen á peligro de muerte sus niños, para que cesase la generación.
The same dealt subtilly with our kindred, and evil entreated our fathers, so that they cast out their young children, to the end they might not live.
The same took advantage of our race and mistreated our fathers, and forced them to abandon their babies, so that they wouldn’t stay alive.
Naquele tempo nasceu Moisés, e ele era muito formoso para Deus, e ele foi criado por três meses na casa de seu pai.
En aquel mismo tiempo nació Moisés, y fué agradable á Dios: y fué criado tres meses en casa de su padre.
In which time Moses was born, and was exceeding fair, and nourished up in his father’s house three months:

E tendo sido abandonado, a filha de Faraó o tomou, e o criou para si como filho.
Mas siendo puesto al peligro, la hija de Faraón le tomó, y le crió como á hijo suyo.
And when he was cast out, Pharaoh’s daughter took him up, and nourished him for her own son.

E Moisés foi instruído em toda a sabedoria dos egípcios; e era poderoso em palavras e ações.
Y fué enseñado Moisés en toda la sabiduría de los egipcios; y era poderoso en sus dichos y hechos.
And Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and was mighty in words and in deeds.

E quando lhe foi completado o tempo de quarenta anos de idade , veio ao seu coração o desejo de visitar a seus irmãos, os filhos de Israel.
Y cuando hubo cumplido la edad de cuarenta años, le vino voluntad de visitar á sus hermanos los hijos de Israel.
And when he was full forty years old, it came into his heart to visit his brethren the children of Israel.

E vendo um deles sofrendo injustamente, defendeu -o ,e vingou pelo que tinha sido oprimido, matando ao egípcio.
Y como vió á uno que era injuriado, defendióle, é hiriendo al Egipcio, vengó al injuriado.
And seeing one of them suffer wrong, he defended him, and avenged him that was oppressed, and smote the Egyptian:

E ele pensava que seus irmãos tivessem entendido que Deus ia lhes dar liberdade por meio da mão dele; mas eles não entenderam.
Pero él pensaba que sus hermanos entendían que Dios les había de dar salud por su mano; mas ellos no lo habían entendido.
For he supposed his brethren would have understood how that God by his hand would deliver them: but they understood not.
He supposed that his brothers understood that God, by his hand, was giving them deliverance; but they didn’t understand.
E no dia seguinte, estando uns deles lutando, ele foi visto por eles, e ordenou-lhes fazerem as pazes, dizendo: Homens, vós sois irmãos, por que fazeis mal um ao outro?
Y al día siguiente, riñendo ellos, se les mostró, y los ponía en paz, diciendo: Varones, hermanos sois, ¿por qué os injuriáis los unos á los otros?
And the next day he shewed himself unto them as they strove, and would have set them at one again, saying, Sirs, ye are brethren; why do ye wrong one to another?
“The day following, he appeared to them as they fought, and urged them to be at peace again, saying, ‘Sirs, you are brothers. Why do you wrong one another?’
Mas aquele que maltratava a seu próximo empurrou-o, dizendo: Quem te pôs por chefe e juiz sobre nós?
Entonces el que injuriaba á su prójimo, le rempujó, diciendo: ¿Quién te ha puesto por príncipe y juez sobre nosotros?
But he that did his neighbour wrong thrust him away, saying, Who made thee a ruler and a judge over us?
But he who did his neighbor wrong pushed him away, saying, ‘Who made you a ruler and a judge over us?
Queres tu também matar a mim, assim como ontem mataste ao egípcio?
¿Quieres tú matarme, como mataste ayer al Egipcio?

Do you want to kill me as you killed the Egyptian yesterday?’
E com esta palavra Moisés fugiu, e foi peregrino na terra de Midiã, onde ele gerou dois filhos.
A esta palabra Moisés huyó, y se hizo extranjero en tierra de Madián, donde engendró dos hijos.
Then fled Moses at this saying, and was a stranger in the land of Madian, where he begat two sons.

E completados quarenta anos, um anjo do Senhor lhe apareceu no deserto do monte Sinai, em uma sarça inflamada.
Y cumplidos cuarenta años, un ángel le apareció en el desierto del monte Sina, en fuego de llama de una zarza.
And when forty years were expired, there appeared to him in the wilderness of mount Sina an angel of the Lord in a flame of fire in a bush.

Moisés, ao ver isso ,maravilhou-se da visão; e ao aproximar-se para ver, veio até ele a voz do Senhor,

When Moses saw it, he wondered at the sight: and as he drew near to behold it, the voice of the Lord came unto him,

Dizendo : Eu sou o Deus de teus pais, o Deus de Abraão, o Deus de Isaque, e o Deus de Jacó. E Moisés, estando tremendo, não ousava olhar com atenção.

Saying, I am the God of thy fathers, the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. Then Moses trembled, and durst not behold.
‘I am the God of your fathers: the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.’ Moses trembled and dared not look.
E o Senhor lhe disse: Descalça-te as sandálias de teus pés, porque o lugar em que estás é terra santa.
Y le dijo el Señor: Quita los zapatos de tus pies, porque el lugar en que estás es tierra santa.
Then said the Lord to him, Put off thy shoes from thy feet: for the place where thou standest is holy ground.

Eu tenho visto com atenção a aflição de meu povo que está no Egito, e ouvi o gemido deles, e eu desci para livrá-los; então vem agora, eu te enviarei ao Egito.

A este Moisés, ao qual tinham negado, dizendo: Quem te pôs por chefe e juiz, A este Deus enviou por chefe e libertador, pela mão do anjo que lhe apareceu na sarça.
A este Moisés, al cual habían rehusado, diciendo: ¿Quién te ha puesto por príncipe y juez? á éste envió Dios por príncipe y redentor con la mano del ángel que le apareció en la zarza.
This Moses whom they refused, saying, Who made thee a ruler and a judge? the same did God send to be a ruler and a deliverer by the hand of the angel which appeared to him in the bush.
“This Moses whom they refused, saying, ‘Who made you a ruler and a judge?’—God has sent him as both a ruler and a deliverer by the hand of the angel who appeared to him in the bush.
Este os levou para fora, fazendo milagres e sinais na terra do Egito, e no mar Vermelho, e no deserto, por quarenta anos.
Este los sacó, habiendo hecho prodigios y milagros en la tierra de Egipto, y en el mar Bermejo, y en el desierto por cuarenta años.
He brought them out, after that he had shewed wonders and signs in the land of Egypt, and in the Red sea, and in the wilderness forty years.

Este é o Moisés que disse aos filhos de Israel: O Senhor, vosso Deus, vos levantará um profeta dentre vossos irmãos, como a mim; a ele ouvireis.

This is that Moses, which said unto the children of Israel, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear.

Este é aquele que esteve na congregação do povo no deserto com o anjo que tinha lhe falado no monte Sinai, e com nossos pais; o qual recebeu as palavras vivas, para dar a nós;

This is he, that was in the church in the wilderness with the angel which spake to him in the mount Sina, and with our fathers: who received the lively oracles to give unto us:
This is he who was in the assembly in the wilderness with the angel that spoke to him on Mount Sinai, and with our fathers, who received living revelations to give to us,
Ao qual nossos pais não quiseram obedecer; mas o rejeitaram, e seus corações voltaram ao Egito;
Al cual nuestros padres no quisieron obedecer; antes le desecharon, y se apartaron de corazón á Egipto,
To whom our fathers would not obey, but thrust him from them, and in their hearts turned back again into Egypt,

Ao dizerem a Arão: Faz-nos deuses, que irão adiante de nós; porque quanto a este Moisés, que nos levou para fora da terra do Egito, nós não sabemos o que aconteceu com ele.
Diciendo á Aarón: Haznos dioses que vayan delante de nosotros; porque á este Moisés, que nos sacó de tierra de Egipto, no sabemos qué le ha acontecido.
Saying unto Aaron, Make us gods to go before us: for as for this Moses, which brought us out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him.

E naqueles dias eles fizeram o bezerro, o ofereceram sacrifício ao ídolo, e se alegraram nas obras de suas próprias mãos.
Y entonces hicieron un becerro, y ofrecieron sacrificio al ídolo, y en las obras de sus manos se holgaron.
And they made a calf in those days, and offered sacrifice unto the idol, and rejoiced in the works of their own hands.

E Deus se virou contra eles ,e os entregou, para que servissem ao exército do céu, assim como está escrito no livro dos profetas: Por acaso, casa de Israel, vós oferecestes a mim animais mortos, e sacrifícios no deserto por quarenta anos?
Y Dios se apartó, y los entregó que sirviesen al ejército del cielo; como está escrito en el libro de los profetas: ¿Me ofrecisteis víctimas y sacrificios en el desierto por cuarenta años, casa de Israel?
Then God turned, and gave them up to worship the host of heaven; as it is written in the book of the prophets, O ye house of Israel, have ye offered to me slain beasts and sacrifices by the space of forty years in the wilderness?
But God turned away and gave them up to serve the army of the sky, as it is written in the book of the prophets, ‘Did you offer to me slain animals and sacrifices forty years in the wilderness, O house of Israel?
Mas tomastes para si a tenda de Moloque, e a estrela de vosso Deus Renfã, figuras que vós fizeste para adorá-las; e eu por isso vos expulsarei para além da Babilônia.
Antes, trajisteis el tabernáculo de Moloch, y la estrella de vuestro dios Remphan: figuras que os hicisteis para adorarlas: os transportaré pues, más allá de Babilonia.

No deserto estava entre nossos pais o Tabernáculo do testemunho, assim como ele tinha ordenado, falando a Moisés, que o fizesse segundo o modelo que tinha visto.
Tuvieron nuestros padres el tabernáculo del testimonio en el desierto, como había ordenado Dios, hablando á Moisés que lo hiciese según la forma que había visto.
Our fathers had the tabernacle of witness in the wilderness, as he had appointed, speaking unto Moses, that he should make it according to the fashion that he had seen.

O qual, recebendo -o também nossos Pais, eles levaram com Josué para a possessão dos gentios que Deus expulsou diante de nossos Pais, até os dias de Davi;

O qual foi do agrado diante de Deus, e pediu para achar um tabernáculo para o Deus de Jacó.
El cual halló gracia delante de Dios, y pidió hallar tabernáculo para el Dios de Jacob.

E Salomão lhe construiu uma casa.

Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet,

O céu é o meu trono, e a terra é o estrado dos meus pés; que casa vós construireis para mim?, diz o Senhor; ou Qual é o lugar do meu repouso?
El cielo es mi trono, y la tierra es el estrado de mis pies. ¿Qué casa me edificaréis? dice el Señor; ¿ó cuál es el lugar de mi reposo?
Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will ye build me? saith the Lord: or what is the place of my rest?
‘heaven is my throne, and the earth a footstool for my feet. What kind of house will you build me?’ says the Lord. ‘Or what is the place of my rest?
Por acaso não foi minhão mão que fez todas estas coisas?
¿No hizo mi mano todas estas cosas?

Vós, obstinados e incircuncisos de coração e de ouvidos! Vós sempre resistis ao Espírito Santo! Tal como vossos pais foram ,assim também sois vós!
Duros de cerviz, é incircuncisos de corazón y de oídos, vosotros resistís siempre al Espíritu Santo: como vuestros padres, así también vosotros.
Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.
“You stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, you always resist the Holy Spirit! As your fathers did, so you do.
Qual dos profetas vossos pais não perseguiram? E eles mataram a todos os que anunciaram com antecedência a vinda do Justo, do qual agora vós tendes sido traidores e homicidas;
¿A cuál de los profetas no persiguieron vuestros padres? y mataron á los que antes anunciaron la venida del Justo, del cual vosotros ahora habéis sido entregadores y matadores;
Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them which shewed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers:
Which of the prophets didn’t your fathers persecute? They killed those who foretold the coming of the Righteous One, of whom you have now become betrayers and murderers.
Que recebestes a Lei por ordem de anjos, e não a guardastes.
Que recibisteis la ley por disposición de ángeles, y no la guardasteis.
Who have received the law by the disposition of angels, and have not kept it.
You received the law as it was ordained by angels, and didn’t keep it!”

E apedrejaram a Estêvão, que estava clamando e dizendo: Senhor Jesus, recebe o meu espírito.
