Or Saul consentait à la mort d’Etienne, et en ce temps-là il se fit une grande persécution contre l’Eglise qui était à Jérusalem, et tous furent dispersés dans les quartiers de la Judée et de la Samarie ; excepté les Apôtres.

Y SAULO consentía en su muerte. Y en aquel día se hizo una grande persecución en la iglesia que estaba en Jerusalem; y todos fueron esparcidos por las tierras de Judea y de Samaria, salvo los apóstoles.

And Saul was consenting unto his death. And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judæa and Samaria, except the apostles.

Et quelques hommes craignant Dieu emportèrent Etienne pour l’ensevelir, et menèrent un grand deuil sur lui.

Y llevaron á enterrar á Esteban varones piadosos, é hicieron gran llanto sobre él.

And devout men carried Stephen to his burial, and made great lamentation over him.

Mais Saul ravageait l’Eglise, entrant dans toutes les maisons, et traînant par force hommes et femmes, il les mettait en prison.

Entonces Saulo asolaba la iglesia, entrando por las casas: y trayendo hombres y mujeres, los entregaba en la cárcel.

As for Saul, he made havock of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed them to prison.

But Saul ravaged the assembly, entering into every house and dragged both men and women off to prison.

Ceux donc qui furent dispersés allaient çà et là annonçant la parole de Dieu.

Mas los que fueron esparcidos, iban por todas partes anunciando la palabra.

Therefore they that were scattered abroad went every where preaching the word.

Et Philippe étant descendu en une ville de Samarie, leur prêcha Christ.

Entonces Felipe, descendiendo á la ciudad de Samaria, les predicaba á Cristo.

Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them.

Philip went down to the city of Samaria and proclaimed to them the Christ.

Et les troupes étaient toutes ensemble attentives à ce que Philippe disait, l’écoutant, et voyant les miracles qu’il faisait.

Y las gentes escuchaban atentamente unánimes las cosas que decía Felipe, oyendo y viendo las señales que hacía.

And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did.

The multitudes listened with one accord to the things that were spoken by Philip when they heard and saw the signs which he did.

Car les esprits immondes sortaient, en criant à haute voix, hors de plusieurs qui en étaient possédés, et beaucoup de paralytiques et de boiteux furent guéris.

Porque de muchos que tenían espíritus inmundos, salían éstos dando grandes voces; y muchos paralíticos y cojos eran sanados:

For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed.

For unclean spirits came out of many of those who had them. They came out, crying with a loud voice. Many who had been paralyzed and lame were healed.

Ce qui causa une grande joie dans cette ville-là.

Así que había gran gozo en aquella ciudad.

And there was great joy in that city.

Or il y avait auparavant dans la ville un homme nommé Simon qui exerçait l’art d’enchanteur, et ensorcelait le peup1e de Samarie, se disant être quelque grand personnage.

Y había un hombre llamado Simón, el cual había sido antes mágico en aquella ciudad, y había engañado la gente de Samaria, diciéndose ser algún grande:

But there was a certain man, called Simon, which beforetime in the same city used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one:

But there was a certain man, Simon by name, who used to practice sorcery in the city and amazed the people of Samaria, making himself out to be some great one,

Auquel tous étaient attentifs, depuis le plus petit jusques au plus grand, disant : celui-ci est la grande vertu de Dieu.

Al cual oían todos atentamente desde el más pequeño hasta el más grande, diciendo: Este es la gran virtud de Dios.

To whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is the great power of God.

to whom they all listened, from the least to the greatest, saying, “This man is that great power of God.”

Et ils étaient attachés à lui, parce que depuis longtemps il les avait éblouis par sa magie.

Y le estaban atentos, porque con sus artes mágicas los había embelesado mucho tiempo.

And to him they had regard, because that of long time he had bewitched them with sorceries.

They listened to him because for a long time he had amazed them with his sorceries.

Mais quand ils eurent cru ce que Philippe leur annonçait touchant le Royaume de Dieu, et le Nom de Jésus-Christ, et les hommes et les femmes furent baptisés.

Mas cuando creyeron á Felipe, que anunciaba el evangelio del reino de Dios y el nombre de Jesucristo, se bautizaban hombres y mujeres.

But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.

But when they believed Philip preaching good news concerning God’s Kingdom and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.

Et Simon crut aussi lui-même, et après avoir été baptisé, il ne bougeait d’auprès de Philippe ; et voyant les prodiges et les grands miracles qui se faisaient, il était comme ravi hors de lui même.

El mismo Simón creyó también entonces, y bautizándose, se llegó á Felipe: y viendo los milagros y grandes maravillas que se hacían, estaba atónito.

Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done.

Simon himself also believed. Being baptized, he continued with Philip. Seeing signs and great miracles occurring, he was amazed.

Or quand les Apôtres qui étaient à Jérusalem, eurent entendu que la Samarie avaient reçu la parole de Dieu, ils leur envoyèrent Pierre et Jean ;

Y los apóstoles que estaban en Jerusalem, habiendo oído que Samaria había recibido la palabra de Dios, les enviaron á Pedro y á Juan:

Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John:

Qui y étant descendus prièrent pour eux, afin qu’ils reçussent le Saint-Esprit :

Los cuales venidos, oraron por ellos, para que recibiesen el Espíritu Santo;

Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost:

who, when they had come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Spirit;

Car il n’était pas encore descendu sur aucun d’eux, mais seulement ils étaient baptisés au Nom du Seigneur Jésus.

(Porque aun no había descendido sobre ninguno de ellos, mas solamente eran bautizados en el nombre de Jesús.)

(For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)

for as yet he had fallen on none of them. They had only been baptized in the name of Christ Jesus.

Puis ils leur imposèrent les mains, et ils reçurent le Saint- Esprit.

Entonces les impusieron las manos, y recibieron el Espíritu Santo.

Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.

Alors Simon ayant vu que le Saint-Esprit était donné, par l’imposition des mains des Apôtres, il leur présenta de l’argent,

Y como vió Simón que por la imposición de las manos de los apóstoles se daba el Espíritu Santo, les ofreció dinero,

And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles’ hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money,

En leur disant : donnez-moi aussi cette puissance, que tous ceux à qui j’imposerai les mains reçoivent le Saint-Esprit.

Diciendo: Dadme también á mí esta potestad, que á cualquiera que pusiere las manos encima, reciba el Espíritu Santo.

Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost.

saying, “Give me also this power, that whomever I lay my hands on may receive the Holy Spirit.”

Mais Pierre lui dit : que ton argent périsse avec toi, puisque tu as estimé que le don de Dieu s’acquiert avec de l’argent.

Entonces Pedro le dijo: Tu dinero perezca contigo, que piensas que el don de Dios se gane por dinero.

But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.

But Peter said to him, “May your silver perish with you, because you thought you could obtain the gift of God with money!

Tu n’as point de part ni d’héritage en cette affaire : car ton coeur n’est point droit devant Dieu.

No tienes tú parte ni suerte en este negocio; porque tu corazón no es recto delante de Dios.

Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight of God.

You have neither part nor lot in this matter, for your heart isn’t right before God.

Repens-toi donc de cette méchanceté, et prie Dieu, afin que s’il est possible, la pensée de ton coeur te soit pardonnée.

Arrepiéntete pues de esta tu maldad, y ruega á Dios, si quizás te será perdonado el pensamiento de tu corazón.

Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.

Repent therefore of this, your wickedness, and ask God if perhaps the thought of your heart may be forgiven you.

Car je vois que tu es dans un fiel très amer, et dans un lien d’iniquité.

Porque en hiel de amargura y en prisión de maldad veo que estás.

For I perceive that thou art in the gall of bitterness, and in the bond of iniquity.

For I see that you are in the poison of bitterness and in the bondage of iniquity.”

Alors Simon répondit, et dit : vous, priez le Seigneur pour moi, afin que rien ne vienne sur moi des choses que vous avez dites.

Respondiendo entonces Simón, dijo: Rogad vosotros por mí al Señor, que ninguna cosa de estas que habéis dicho, venga sobre mí.

Then answered Simon, and said, Pray ye to the Lord for me, that none of these things which ye have spoken come upon me.

Simon answered, “Pray for me to the Lord, that none of the things which you have spoken happen to me.”

Eux donc après avoir prêché et annoncé la parole du Seigneur, retournèrent à Jérusalem, et annoncèrent l’Evangile en plusieurs bourgades des Samaritains.

Y ellos, habiendo testificado y hablado la palabra de Dios, se volvieron á Jerusalem, y en muchas tierras de los Samaritanos anunciaron el evangelio.

And they, when they had testified and preached the word of the Lord, returned to Jerusalem, and preached the gospel in many villages of the Samaritans.

They therefore, when they had testified and spoken the word of the Lord, returned to Jerusalem, and preached the Good News to many villages of the Samaritans.

Puis l’Ange du Seigneur parla à Philippe, en disant : lève-toi, et t’en va vers le Midi, au chemin qui descend de Jérusalem à Gaza, celle qui est déserte.

Empero el ángel del Señor habló á Felipe, diciendo: Levántate y ve hacia el mediodía, al camino que desciende de Jerusalem á Gaza, el cual es desierto.

And the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward the south unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto Gaza, which is desert.

Then an angel of the Lord spoke to Philip, saying, “Arise, and go toward the south to the way that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza. This is a desert.”

Lui donc se levant, s’en alla ; et voici un homme Ethiopien, Eunuque, qui était un des principaux Seigneurs de la Cour de Candace, Reine des Ethiopiens, commis sur toutes ses richesses, et qui était venu pour adorer à Jérusalem ;

Entonces él se levantó, y fué: y he aquí un Etiope, eunuco, gobernador de Candace, reina de los Etiopes, el cual era puesto sobre todos sus tesoros, y había venido á adorar á Jerusalem,

And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship,

S’en retournait, assis dans son chariot ; et il lisait le Prophète Esaïe.

Se volvía sentado en su carro, y leyendo el profeta Isaías.

Was returning, and sitting in his chariot read Esaias the prophet.

He was returning and sitting in his chariot, and was reading the prophet Isaiah.

Et l’Esprit dit à Philippe : approche-toi, et te joins à ce chariot.

Y el Espíritu dijo á Felipe: Llégate, y júntate á este carro.

Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot.

The Spirit said to Philip, “Go near, and join yourself to this chariot.”

Et Philippe y étant accouru, il l’entendit lisant le Prophète Esaïe ; et il lui dit : mais comprends-tu ce que tu lis ?

Y acudiendo Felipe, le oyó que leía el profeta Isaías, y dijo: Mas ¿entiendes lo que lees?

And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest?

Philip ran to him, and heard him reading Isaiah the prophet, and said, “Do you understand what you are reading?”

Et il lui dit : mais comment le pourrais-je comprendre, si quelqu’un ne me guide ? et il pria Philippe de monter et s’asseoir avec lui.

Y él dijo: ¿Y cómo podré, si alguno no me enseñare? Y rogó á Felipe que subiese, y se sentase con él.

And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him.

He said, “How can I, unless someone explains it to me?” He begged Philip to come up and sit with him.

Or le passage de l’Ecriture qu’il lisait était celui-ci : il a été mené comme une brebis à la boucherie, et comme un agneau muet devant celui qui le tond ; en sorte qu’il n’a point ouvert sa bouche.

Y el lugar de la Escritura que leía, era éste: Como oveja á la muerte fué llevado; y como cordero mudo delante del que le trasquila, así no abrió su boca:

The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth:

Now the passage of the Scripture which he was reading was this, “He was led as a sheep to the slaughter. As a lamb before his shearer is silent, so he doesn’t open his mouth.

En son abaissement son jugement a été haussé ; mais qui racontera sa durée ? car sa vie est enlevée de la terre.

En su humillación su juicio fué quitado: mas su generación, ¿quién la contará? porque es quitada de la tierra su vida.

In his humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken from the earth.

In his humiliation, his judgment was taken away. Who will declare His generation? For his life is taken from the earth.”

Et l’Eunuque prenant la parole, dit à Philippe : je te prie, de qui est-ce que le Prophète dit cela : est-ce de lui-même, ou de quelque autre ?

Y respondiendo el eunuco á Felipe, dijo: Ruégote ¿de quién el profeta dice esto? ¿de sí, ó de otro alguno?

And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man?

The eunuch answered Philip, “Who is the prophet talking about? About himself, or about someone else?”

Alors Philippe ouvrant sa bouche, et commençant par cette Ecriture, lui annonça Jésus.

Entonces Felipe, abriendo su boca, y comenzando desde esta escritura, le anunció el evangelio de Jesús.

Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.

Philip opened his mouth, and beginning from this Scripture, preached to him about Jesus.

Et comme ils continuaient leur chemin, ils arrivèrent à un lieu où il y avait de l’eau ; et l’Eunuque dit : voici de l’eau, qu’est- ce qui empêche que je ne sois baptisé ?

Y yendo por el camino, llegaron á cierta agua; y dijo el eunuco: He aquí agua; ¿qué impide que yo sea bautizado?

And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?

As they went on the way, they came to some water; and the eunuch said, “Behold, here is water. What is keeping me from being baptized?”

Et Philippe dit : si tu crois de tout ton coeur, cela t’est permis ; et l’Eunuque répondant, dit : Je crois que Jésus-Christ est le Fils de Dieu.

Y Felipe dijo: Si crees de todo corazón, bien puedes. Y respondiendo, dijo: Creo que Jesucristo es el Hijo de Dios.

And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

Et ayant commandé qu’on arrêtât le chariot, ils descendirent tous deux dans l’eau, Philippe et l’Eunuque ; et Philippe le baptisa.

Y mandó parar el carro: y descendieron ambos al agua, Felipe y el eunuco; y bautizóle.

And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.

Et quand ils furent remontés hors de l’eau, l’Esprit du Seigneur enleva Philippe, et l’Eunuque ne le vit plus ; et tout joyeux il continua son chemin.

Y como subieron del agua, el Espíritu del Señor arrebató á Felipe; y no le vió más el eunuco, y se fué por su camino gozoso.

And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.

When they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught Philip away, and the eunuch didn’t see him any more, for he went on his way rejoicing.

Mais Philippe se trouva dans Azote, et en passant il annonça l’Evangile dans toutes les villes, jusqu’à ce qu’il fût arrivé à Césarée.

Felipe empero se halló en Azoto: y pasando, anunciaba el evangelio en todas las ciudades, hasta que llegó á Cesarea.

But Philip was found at Azotus: and passing through he preached in all the cities, till he came to Cæsarea.

But Philip was found at Azotus. Passing through, he preached the Good News to all the cities until he came to Caesarea.
