Auf der Reise aber begab es sich, als er sich der Stadt Damaskus näherte, daß ihn plötzlich ein Licht vom Himmel umstrahlte.

And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.
He said, “Who are you, Lord?” The Lord said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting.
Da sprach er mit Zittern und Schrecken: Herr, was willst du, daß ich tun soll? Und der Herr antwortete ihm: Steh auf und gehe in die Stadt hinein, so wird man dir sagen, was du tun sollst!
El, temblando y temeroso, dijo: Señor, ¿qué quieres que haga? Y el Señor le dice: Levántate y entra en la ciudad, y se te dirá lo que te conviene hacer.
And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.
But rise up and enter into the city, then you will be told what you must do.”
Die Männer aber, die mit ihm reisten, standen sprachlos da, indem sie zwar die Stimme hörten, aber niemand sahen.

And the men which journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no man.

und er hat in einem Gesicht einen Mann gesehen, namens Ananias, der hereinkam und ihm die Hände auflegte, damit er wieder sehend werde.

Da antwortete Ananias: Herr, ich habe von vielen von diesem Mann gehört, wieviel Böses er deinen Heiligen in Jerusalem zugefügt hat.
Entonces Ananías respondió: Señor, he oído á muchos acerca de este hombre, cuántos males ha hecho á tus santos en Jerusalem:

Aber der Herr sprach zu ihm: Gehe hin, denn dieser ist mir ein auserwähltes Werkzeug, um meinen Namen vor Heiden und Könige und vor die Kinder Israel zu tragen!
Y le dijo el Señor: Ve: porque instrumento escogido me es éste, para que lleve mi nombre en presencia de los Gentiles, y de reyes, y de los hijos de Israel:
But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:

Ananías entonces fué, y entró en la casa, y poniéndole las manos encima, dijo: Saulo hermano, el Señor Jesús, que te apareció en el camino por donde venías, me ha enviado para que recibas la vista y seas lleno de Espíritu Santo.
And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost.
Ananias departed and entered into the house. Laying his hands on him, he said, “Brother Saul, the Lord, who appeared to you on the road by which you came, has sent me that you may receive your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.”
Und alsbald fiel es von seinen Augen wie Schuppen, und er konnte wieder sehen und stand auf und ließ sich taufen, nahm Speise und stärkte sich.

And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized.

Er war aber etliche Tage bei den Jüngern zu Damaskus.

Es erstaunten aber alle, die ihn hörten, und sprachen: Ist das nicht der, welcher in Jerusalem die zerstörte, welche diesen Namen anrufen, und der dazu hierher gekommen war, um sie gebunden zu den Hohenpriestern zu führen?
Y todos los que le oían estaban atónitos, y decían: ¿No es éste el que asolaba en Jerusalem á los que invocaban este nombre, y á eso vino acá, para llevarlos presos á los príncipes de los sacerdotes?
But all that heard him were amazed, and said; Is not this he that destroyed them which called on this name in Jerusalem, and came hither for that intent, that he might bring them bound unto the chief priests?

Saulus aber wurde noch mehr gekräftigt und beunruhigte die Juden, die zu Damaskus wohnten, indem er bewies, daß Jesus der Christus sei.

Zu Joppe aber war eine Jüngerin namens Tabitha, was übersetzt «Gazelle» heißt; diese war reich an guten Werken und Almosen, die sie übte.

Weil aber Lydda nahe bei Joppe ist und die Jünger gehört hatten, daß Petrus dort sei, sandten sie zwei Männer zu ihm mit der Bitte: Zögere nicht, bis zu uns zu kommen!
Y como Lydda estaba cerca de Joppe, los discípulos, oyendo que Pedro estaba allí, le enviaron dos hombres, rogándole: No te detengas en venir hasta nosotros.
And forasmuch as Lydda was nigh to Joppa, and the disciples had heard that Peter was there, they sent unto him two men, desiring him that he would not delay to come to them.
