1Escuchen esta palabra, vacas de Basán, que están en la colina de Samaria, por quienes los pobres son oprimidos, y los necesitados son agraviados; que dicen a sus señores: traigan ahora, para que bebamos.
2El Señor Dios ha jurado por su santo nombre, que vendrán días en que las llevarán con anzuelos, y al remanente de ustedes con anzuelos.
3Y saldrás a través de los portillos rotos, cada una yendo directamente delante de ella, y serás enviada a Harmon, dice el Señor.
4Ven a Betel y haz el mal; a Gilgal, aumentando el número de tus pecados; ven con tus ofrendas cada mañana y tus décimas cada tres días.
5Que lo que se leuda sea quemado como una ofrenda de alabanza, que las noticias de tus ofrendas gratuitas se divulguen públicamente; porque esto les agrada, hijos de Israel, dice el Señor.
6Pero en todos tus pueblos te he hecho pasar hambre, y en todos tus lugares ha habido necesidad de pan; y aún así no has vuelto a mí, dice el Señor.
7Y he ocultado la lluvia de ustedes, cuando todavía faltaban tres meses para la cosecha; envié lluvia a una ciudad y la alejé de otra; una parte llovió y la parte donde no había lluvia se secó.
8De modo que de dos o tres pueblos fueron errantes a un pueblo en busca de agua, y no obtuvieron suficiente; y aún no han vuelto a mí, dice el Señor.
9He enviado destrucción con viento abrasador y plagas; el aumento de tus jardines y tus viñedos, tus higueras y tus olivos, ha sido alimento para gusanos; y aún no has vuelto a mí, dice el Señor.
10He enviado enfermedades entre ustedes, como sucedió en Egipto: he puesto a tus jóvenes a espada, y he quitado tus caballos; He hecho que el mal olor de sus muertos llegue hasta sus narices, y aún no se volvieron a mí, dice el Señor.
11Y he enviado destrucción entre ustedes, como cuando Dios envió destrucción sobre Sodoma y Gomorra, y tú eras como un palo ardiente sacado del fuego; y aún así no se volvieron a mí, dice el Señor.
12Así que esto es lo que te haré, oh Israel: y porque te haré esto, prepárate para una reunión con tu Dios, oh Israel.
13Porque he aquí, el que dio forma a las montañas y crea el viento, dando conocimiento de su propósito al hombre, que hace a las tinieblas mañana y camina por los lugares altos de la tierra: el Señor, el Dios de ejércitos, es su nombre.

1OID esta palabra, vacas de Basán, que estáis en el monte de Samaria, que oprimís los pobres, que quebrantáis los menesterosos, que decís á sus señores: Traed, y beberemos.
2El Señor Jehová juró por su santidad: He aquí, vienen días sobre vosotros en que os llevará en anzuelos, y á vuestros descendientes en barquillos de pescador.
3Y saldrán por los portillos la una en pos de la otra, y seréis echadas del palacio, dice Jehová.
4Id á Beth-el, y prevaricad; en Gilgal aumentad la rebelión, y traed de mañana vuestros sacrificios, y vuestros diezmos cada tres años;
5Y ofreced sacrificio de alabanza con leudo, y pregonad, publicad voluntarias ofrendas; pues que así lo queréis, hijos de Israel, dice el Señor Jehová.
6Yo también os dí limpieza de dientes en todas vuestras ciudades, y falta de pan en todos vuestros pueblos: mas no os tornasteis á mí, dice Jehová.
7Y también yo os detuve la lluvia tres meses antes de la siega: é hice llover sobre una ciudad, y sobre otra ciudad no hice llover: sobre una parte llovió; la parte sobre la cual no llovió, secóse.
8Y venían dos ó tres ciudades á una ciudad para beber agua, y no se hartaban: con todo no os tornasteis á mí, dice Jehová.
9Os herí con viento solano y oruga; vuestros muchos huertos y vuestras viñas, y vuestros higuerales y vuestros olivares comió la langosta: pero nunca os tornasteis á mí, dice Jehová.
10Envié entre vosotros mortandad al modo que en Egipto: maté á cuchillo vuestros mancebos, con cautiverio de vuestros caballos; é hice subir el hedor de vuestros reales hasta vuestras narices: empero no os tornasteis á mí, dice Jehová.
11Trastornéos, como cuando Dios trastornó á Sodoma y á Gomorra, y fuisteis como tizón escapado del fuego: mas no os tornasteis á mí, dice Jehová.
12Por tanto, de esta manera haré á ti, oh Israel: y porque te he de hacer esto, aparéjate para venir al encuentro á tu Dios, oh Israel.
13Porque he aquí, el que forma los montes, y cría el viento, y denuncia al hombre su pensamiento; el que hace á las tinieblas mañana, y pasa sobre las alturas de la tierra; Jehová, Dios de los ejércitos, es su nombre.

1Hear this word, ye kine of Bashan, that are in the mountain of Samaria, which oppress the poor, which crush the needy, which say to their masters, Bring, and let us drink.
2The Lord GOD hath sworn by his holiness, that, lo, the days shall come upon you, that he will take you away with hooks, and your posterity with fishhooks.
3And ye shall go out at the breaches, every cow at that which is before her; and ye shall cast them into the palace, saith the LORD.
4Come to Beth-el, and transgress; at Gilgal multiply transgression; and bring your sacrifices every morning, and your tithes after three years:
5And offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving with leaven, and proclaim and publish the free offerings: for this liketh you, O ye children of Israel, saith the Lord GOD.
6And I also have given you cleanness of teeth in all your cities, and want of bread in all your places: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.
7And also I have withholden the rain from you, when there were yet three months to the harvest: and I caused it to rain upon one city, and caused it not to rain upon another city: one piece was rained upon, and the piece whereupon it rained not withered.
8So two or three cities wandered unto one city, to drink water; but they were not satisfied: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.
9I have smitten you with blasting and mildew: when your gardens and your vineyards and your fig trees and your olive trees increased, the palmerworm devoured them: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.
10I have sent among you the pestilence after the manner of Egypt: your young men have I slain with the sword, and have taken away your horses; and I have made the stink of your camps to come up unto your nostrils: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.
11I have overthrown some of you, as God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, and ye were as a firebrand plucked out of the burning: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.
12Therefore thus will I do unto thee, O Israel: and because I will do this unto thee, prepare to meet thy God, O Israel.
13For, lo, he that formeth the mountains, and createth the wind, and declareth unto man what is his thought, that maketh the morning darkness, and treadeth upon the high places of the earth, The LORD, The God of hosts, is his name.

1Listen to this word, you cows of Bashan, who are on the mountain of Samaria, who oppress the poor, who crush the needy, who tell their husbands, “Bring us drinks!”
2The Lord GOD has sworn by his holiness, “Behold, the days shall come on you that they will take you away with hooks, and the last of you with fish hooks.
3You will go out at the breaks in the wall, everyone straight before her; and you will cast yourselves into Harmon,” says the LORD.
4“Go to Bethel, and sin; to Gilgal, and sin more. Bring your sacrifices every morning, your tithes every three days,
5offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving of that which is leavened, and proclaim free will offerings and brag about them; for this pleases you, you children of Israel,” says the Lord GOD.
6“I also have given you cleanness of teeth in all your cities, and lack of bread in every town; yet you haven’t returned to me,” says the LORD.
7“I also have withheld the rain from you, when there were yet three months to the harvest; and I caused it to rain on one city, and caused it not to rain on another city. One field was rained on, and the field where it didn’t rain withered.
8So two or three cities staggered to one city to drink water, and were not satisfied; yet you haven’t returned to me,” says the LORD.
9“I struck you with blight and mildew many times in your gardens and your vineyards, and the swarming locusts have devoured your fig trees and your olive trees; yet you haven’t returned to me,” says the LORD.
10“I sent plagues among you like I did Egypt. I have slain your young men with the sword, and have carried away your horses. I filled your nostrils with the stench of your camp, yet you haven’t returned to me,” says the LORD.
11“I have overthrown some of you, as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, and you were like a burning stick plucked out of the fire; yet you haven’t returned to me,” says the LORD.
12“Therefore I will do this to you, Israel; because I will do this to you, prepare to meet your God, Israel.
13For, behold, he who forms the mountains, creates the wind, declares to man what is his thought, who makes the morning darkness, and treads on the high places of the earth: The LORD, the God of Armies, is his name.”
