¡Fuera con sus cantos de homenaje, pues son un mero ruido a mis oídos! Yo no escucharé su música, no importa cuán hermosa sea.

Quita de mí la multitud de tus cantares, que no escucharé las salmodias de tus instrumentos.

Take thou away from me the noise of thy songs; for I will not hear the melody of thy viols.

Take away from me the noise of your songs! I will not listen to the music of your harps.
