Hear ye this word which I take up against you, even a lamentation, O house of Israel.
Listen to this word which I take up for a lamentation over you, O house of Israel:
La vergine d'Israele è caduta, ella non risorgerà più; è abbandonata sopra la sua terra, non vi è niuno che la rilevi.
Cayó la virgen de Israel, no más podrá levantarse; dejada fué sobre su tierra, no hay quien la levante.
The virgin of Israel is fallen; she shall no more rise: she is forsaken upon her land; there is none to raise her up.
“The virgin of Israel has fallen; She shall rise no more. She is cast down on her land; there is no one to raise her up.”
Perciocchè, così ha detto il Signore Iddio: Nella città onde ne uscivano mille, ne resteranno sol cento; e in quella onde ne uscivano cento, ne resteranno sol dieci, alla casa d'Israele.
Porque así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: La ciudad que sacaba mil, quedará con ciento; y la que sacaba ciento, quedará con diez, en la casa de Israel.
For thus saith the Lord GOD; The city that went out by a thousand shall leave an hundred, and that which went forth by an hundred shall leave ten, to the house of Israel.
For the Lord GOD says: “The city that went out a thousand shall have a hundred left, and that which went out one hundred shall have ten left to the house of Israel.”
Perciocchè, così ha detto il Signore alla casa d'Israele: Cercatemi, e voi viverete.
Empero así dice Jehová á la casa de Israel: Buscadme, y viviréis;
For thus saith the LORD unto the house of Israel, Seek ye me, and ye shall live:
For the LORD says to the house of Israel: “Seek me, and you will live;
E non cercate Betel, e non entrate in Ghilgal e non passate in Beerseba; perciocchè Ghilgal del tutto sarà menato in cattività, e Betel sarà ridotto al niente.
Y no busquéis á Beth-el ni entréis en Gilgal, ni paséis á Beer-seba: porque Gilgal será llevada en cautiverio, y Beth-el será deshecha.
But seek not Beth-el, nor enter into Gilgal, and pass not to Beer-sheba: for Gilgal shall surely go into captivity, and Beth-el shall come to nought.
but don’t seek Bethel, nor enter into Gilgal, and don’t pass to Beersheba; for Gilgal shall surely go into captivity, and Bethel shall come to nothing.
Cercate il Signore, e voi viverete; che talora egli non si avventi sopra la casa di Giuseppe, a guisa di fuoco, e non la consumi, senza che Betel abbia chi spenga il fuoco,
Buscad á Jehová, y vivid; no sea que hienda, como fuego, á la casa de José, y la consuma, sin haber en Beth-el quien lo apague.
Seek the LORD, and ye shall live; lest he break out like fire in the house of Joseph, and devour it, and there be none to quench it in Beth-el.

o voi, che mutate il giudicio in assenzio, e lasciate in terra la giustizia!
Los que convierten en ajenjo el juicio, y dejan en tierra la justicia,
Ye who turn judgment to wormwood, and leave off righteousness in the earth,
You who turn justice to wormwood, and cast down righteousness to the earth!
Cercate colui che ha fatte le Gallinelle e l'Orione, e che muta l'ombra della morte in mattutino, e fa scurare il giorno come la notte; che chiama le acque del mare, e le spande sopra la faccia della terra; il cui Nome è: Il Signore:
Miren al que hace el Arcturo y el Orión, y las tinieblas vuelve en mañana, y hace oscurecer el día en noche; el que llama á las aguas de la mar, y las derrama sobre la haz de la tierra: Jehová es su nombre:
Seek him that maketh the seven stars and Orion, and turneth the shadow of death into the morning, and maketh the day dark with night: that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The LORD is his name:
Seek him who made the Pleiades and Orion, and turns the shadow of death into the morning, and makes the day dark with night; who calls for the waters of the sea, and pours them out on the surface of the earth, the LORD is his name,
che fa sorger subita ruina sopra il forte, talchè la distruzione occupa la fortezza.
Que da esfuerzo al despojador sobre el fuerte, y que el despojador venga contra la fortaleza.
That strengtheneth the spoiled against the strong, so that the spoiled shall come against the fortress.
who brings sudden destruction on the strong, so that destruction comes on the fortress.
Essi odiano nella porta chi li riprende, ed abbominano chi parla con integrità.
Ellos aborrecieron en la puerta al reprensor, y al que hablaba lo recto abominaron.
They hate him that rebuketh in the gate, and they abhor him that speaketh uprightly.
They hate him who reproves in the gate, and they abhor him who speaks blamelessly.
Laonde, perciocchè voi aggravate il povero, e prendete da lui la soma del frumento: voi avete edificate delle case di pietre pulite, ma non abiterete in esse; voi avete piantate delle vigne belle, ma non ne berrete il vino.
Por tanto, pues que vejáis al pobre y recibís de él carga de trigo; edificasteis casas de sillares, mas no las habitaréis; plantasteis hermosas viñas, mas no beberéis el vino de ellas.
Forasmuch therefore as your treading is upon the poor, and ye take from him burdens of wheat: ye have built houses of hewn stone, but ye shall not dwell in them; ye have planted pleasant vineyards, but ye shall not drink wine of them.
Therefore, because you trample on the poor and take taxes from him of wheat, you have built houses of cut stone, but you will not dwell in them. You have planted pleasant vineyards, but you shall not drink their wine.
Perciocchè io conosco i vostri misfatti, che son molti, e i vostri peccati, che son gravi; oppressatori del giusto, prenditori di taglia, e sovvertitori della ragione de' poveri nella porta.
Porque sabido he vuestras muchas rebeliones, y vuestros grandes pecados: que afligen al justo, y reciben cohecho, y á los pobres en la puerta hacen perder su causa.
For I know your manifold transgressions and your mighty sins: they afflict the just, they take a bribe, and they turn aside the poor in the gate from their right.
For I know how many are your offenses, and how great are your sins— you who afflict the just, who take a bribe, and who turn away the needy in the courts.
Perciò, l'uomo prudente in quel tempo tacerà; perciocchè sarà un cattivo tempo.

Odiate il male, ed amate il bene, e stabilite il giudicio nella porta; forse avrà il Signore Iddio d'Israele pietà del rimanente di Giuseppe.
Aborreced el mal, y amad el bien, y poned juicio en la puerta: quizá Jehová, Dios de los ejércitos, tendrá piedad del remanente de José.
Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish judgment in the gate: it may be that the LORD God of hosts will be gracious unto the remnant of Joseph.
Hate evil, love good, and establish justice in the courts. It may be that the LORD, the God of Armies, will be gracious to the remnant of Joseph.”
Perciò, così ha detto il Signore Iddio degli eserciti, il Signore: Vi sarà pianto in tutte le piazze; e si dirà in tutte le strade: Ahi lasso! Ahi lasso! e si chiameranno i lavoratori al duolo, ed al lamento quelli che sono intendenti in lamenti lugubri.
Por tanto, así ha dicho Jehová Dios de los ejércitos, el Señor: En todas las plazas habrá llanto, y en todas las calles dirán, ¡Ay! ¡ay! y al labrador llamarán á lloro, y á endecha á los que endechar supieren.
Therefore the LORD, the God of hosts, the Lord, saith thus; Wailing shall be in all streets; and they shall say in all the highways, Alas! alas! and they shall call the husbandman to mourning, and such as are skilful of lamentation to wailing.
Therefore the LORD, the God of Armies, the Lord, says: “Wailing will be in all the wide ways. They will say in all the streets, ‘Alas! Alas!’ They will call the farmer to mourning, and those who are skillful in lamentation to wailing.
In tutte le vigne ancora vi sarà pianto; perciocchè io passerò nel mezzo di te, ha detto il Signore.
Y en todas las viñas habrá llanto; porque pasaré por medio de ti, dice Jehová.
And in all vineyards shall be wailing: for I will pass through thee, saith the LORD.

Guai a voi, che desiderate il giorno del Signore! perchè desiderate così il giorno del Signore? esso sarà giorno di tenebre, e non di luce.

Come se un uomo fuggisse d'innanzi ad un leone, ed un orso lo scontrasse; ovvero entrasse in casa, ed appoggiasse la mano alla parete, ed una serpe lo mordesse.
Como el que huye de delante del león, y se topa con el oso; ó si entrare en casa y arrimare su mano á la pared, y le muerda la culebra.
As if a man did flee from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him.

Il giorno del Signore non sarà egli tenebre, e non luce? e caligine, senza alcuno splendore?
¿No será el día de Jehová tinieblas, y no luz; oscuridad, que no tiene resplandor?

Io odio, io sdegno le vostre feste; e non odorerò più le vostre solenni raunanze.
Aborrecí, abominé vuestras solemnidades, y no me darán buen olor vuestras asambleas.

Anzi voi portaste il tabernacolo del vostro Melec, e l'effigie delle vostre immagini; la stella dei vostri dii, che voi vi avevate fatti.
Mas llevabais el tabernáculo de vuestro Moloch y Chiún, ídolos vuestros, la estrella de vuestros dioses que os hicisteis.
But ye have borne the tabernacle of your Moloch and Chiun your images, the star of your god, which ye made to yourselves.

Perciò, io vi farò andare in cattività di là da Damasco, ha detto il Signore, il cui Nome è: L'Iddio degli eserciti.
