ASÍ me ha mostrado el Señor Jehová: y he aquí, él criaba langostas al principio que comenzaba á crecer el heno tardío; y he aquí, era el heno tardío después de las siegas del rey.
Thus hath the Lord GOD shewed unto me; and, behold, he formed grasshoppers in the beginning of the shooting up of the latter growth; and, lo, it was the latter growth after the king’s mowings.

Als sie nun alles Kraut des Landes abgefressen hatten, da sprach ich: Herr, HERR, vergib doch! Wie soll Jakob bestehen? Er ist ja so klein!
Y acaeció que como acabó de comer la hierba de la tierra, yo dije: Señor Jehová, perdona ahora; ¿quién levantará á Jacob? porque es pequeño.
And it came to pass, that when they had made an end of eating the grass of the land, then I said, O Lord GOD, forgive, I beseech thee: by whom shall Jacob arise? for he is small.
When they finished eating the grass of the land, then I said, “Lord GOD, forgive, I beg you! How could Jacob stand? For he is small.”
Da reute es den HERRN: «Es soll nicht geschehen!» sprach der HERR.
Arrepintióse Jehová de esto: No será, dijo Jehová.
The LORD repented for this: It shall not be, saith the LORD.
The LORD relented concerning this. “It shall not be,” says the LORD.
Solches ließ Gott, der HERR, mich schauen: Siehe, Gott, der HERR, rief dem Feuer zum Gericht; das fraß ein großes Loch und hatte schon das Erbteil ergriffen.
El Señor Jehová me mostró así: y he aquí, llamaba para juzgar por fuego el Señor Jehová; y consumió un gran abismo, y consumió una parte de la tierra.
Thus hath the Lord GOD shewed unto me: and, behold, the Lord GOD called to contend by fire, and it devoured the great deep, and did eat up a part.
Thus the Lord GOD showed me: behold, the Lord GOD called for judgment by fire; and it dried up the great deep, and would have devoured the land.
Da sprach ich: Herr, HERR, laß doch ab! Wie soll Jakob bestehen? Er ist ja so klein!
Y dije: Señor Jehová, cesa ahora; ¿quién levantará á Jacob? porque es pequeño.
Then said I, O Lord GOD, cease, I beseech thee: by whom shall Jacob arise? for he is small.
Then I said, “Lord GOD, stop, I beg you! How could Jacob stand? For he is small.”
Da reute den HERRN auch das: «Es soll nicht geschehen!» sprach Gott, der HERR.
Arrepintióse Jehová de esto: No será esto tampoco, dijo el Señor Jehová.
The LORD repented for this: This also shall not be, saith the Lord GOD.
The LORD relented concerning this. “This also shall not be,” says the Lord GOD.
Solches ließ er mich schauen: Der Herr stand auf einer senkrechten Mauer und hatte ein Senkblei in der Hand.
Enseñóme así: he aquí, el Señor estaba sobre un muro hecho á plomo, y en su mano una plomada de albañil.
Thus he shewed me: and, behold, the Lord stood upon a wall made by a plumbline, with a plumbline in his hand.

Und der HERR sprach zu mir: Was siehst du, Amos? Ich sprach: Ein Senkblei! Da sprach der Herr: Siehe, ich ziehe ein Senkblei mitten durch mein Volk Israel hindurch und werde nicht weiter Nachsicht an ihm üben,
Jehová entonces me dijo: ¿Qué ves, Amós? Y dije: Una plomada de albañil. Y el Señor dijo: He aquí, yo pongo plomada de albañil en medio de mi pueblo Israel: no le pasaré más:
And the LORD said unto me, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A plumbline. Then said the Lord, Behold, I will set a plumbline in the midst of my people Israel: I will not again pass by them any more:
The LORD said to me, “Amos, what do you see?” I said, “A plumb line.” Then the Lord said, “Behold, I will set a plumb line in the middle of my people Israel. I will not again pass by them any more.
sondern die Höhen Isaaks sollen verwüstet und die Heiligtümer Israels zertrümmert werden, und gegen das Haus Jerobeams will ich mit dem Schwerte kämpfen.
Y los altares de Isaac serán destruídos, y los santuarios de Israel serán asolados; y levantaréme con espada sobre la casa de Jeroboam.
And the high places of Isaac shall be desolate, and the sanctuaries of Israel shall be laid waste; and I will rise against the house of Jeroboam with the sword.

Da ließ Amazia, der Priester von Bethel, dem König Jerobeam von Israel sagen: «Amos hat eine Verschwörung wider dich angezettelt im Hause Israel; das Land kann seine Worte nicht ertragen!
Entonces Amasías sacerdote de Beth-el envió á decir á Jeroboam, rey de Israel: Amós se ha conjurado contra ti en medio de la casa de Israel: la tierra no puede sufrir todas sus palabras.
Then Amaziah the priest of Beth-el sent to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, Amos hath conspired against thee in the midst of the house of Israel: the land is not able to bear all his words.
Then Amaziah the priest of Bethel sent to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, “Amos has conspired against you in the middle of the house of Israel. The land is not able to bear all his words.
Denn Amos hat gesagt: Jerobeam soll mit dem Schwert getötet und Israel aus seinem Land weggeführt werden!»
Porque así ha dicho Amós: Jeroboam morirá á cuchillo, é Israel pasará de su tierra en cautiverio.
For thus Amos saith, Jeroboam shall die by the sword, and Israel shall surely be led away captive out of their own land.
For Amos says, ‘Jeroboam will die by the sword, and Israel shall surely be led away captive out of his land.’”
Und Amazia sprach zu Amos: «Du Seher, geh, flüchte dich in das Land Juda und iß daselbst Brot und weissage dort!
Y Amasías dijo á Amós: Vidente, vete, y huye á tierra de Judá, y come allá tu pan, y profetiza allí:
Also Amaziah said unto Amos, O thou seer, go, flee thee away into the land of Judah, and there eat bread, and prophesy there:
Amaziah also said to Amos, “You seer, go, flee away into the land of Judah, and there eat bread, and prophesy there,
Zu Bethel aber sollst du nicht mehr weissagen; denn es ist ein königliches Heiligtum und ein Reichstempel.»
Y no profetices más en Beth-el, porque es santuario del rey, y cabecera del reino.
But prophesy not again any more at Beth-el: for it is the king’s chapel, and it is the king’s court.
but don’t prophesy again any more at Bethel; for it is the king’s sanctuary, and it is a royal house!”
Amos aber antwortete und sprach zu Amazia: Ich bin kein Prophet und keines Propheten Sohn, sondern ein Hirt bin ich und züchte Maulbeerfeigen!
Entonces respondió Amós, y dijo á Amasías: No soy profeta, ni soy hijo de profeta, sino que soy boyero, y cogedor de cabrahigos:
Then answered Amos, and said to Amaziah, I was no prophet, neither was I a prophet’s son; but I was an herdman, and a gatherer of sycomore fruit:
Then Amos answered Amaziah, “I was no prophet, neither was I a prophet’s son, but I was a herdsman, and a farmer of sycamore figs;
Aber der HERR hat mich von den Schafen weggenommen, und der HERR hat zu mir gesagt: Geh, weissage meinem Volk Israel!
Y Jehová me tomó de tras el ganado, y díjome Jehová: Ve, y profetiza á mi pueblo Israel.
And the LORD took me as I followed the flock, and the LORD said unto me, Go, prophesy unto my people Israel.
and the LORD took me from following the flock, and the LORD said to me, ‘Go, prophesy to my people Israel.’
Und nun höre das Wort des HERRN: Du sprichst: «Weissage nicht wider Israel, träufle nicht wider das Haus Isaak!»
Ahora pues, oye palabra de Jehová. Tú dices: No profetices contra Israel, ni hables contra la casa de Isaac:
Now therefore hear thou the word of the LORD: Thou sayest, Prophesy not against Israel, and drop not thy word against the house of Isaac.
Now therefore listen to the LORD’s word: ‘You say, Don’t prophesy against Israel, and don’t preach against the house of Isaac.’
Darum spricht der HERR also: Dein Weib wird in der Stadt Unzucht treiben, und deine Söhne und Töchter sollen durchs Schwert fallen, und dein Land wird man mit der Meßschnur verteilen; du aber sollst in einem unreinen Lande sterben; und Israel wird aus seinem Lande gefangen weggeführt werden.
Por tanto, así ha dicho Jehová: Tu mujer fornicará en la ciudad, y tus hijos y tus hijas caerán á cuchillo, y tu tierra será partida por suertes; y tú morirás en tierra inmunda, é Israel será traspasado de su tierra.
Therefore thus saith the LORD; Thy wife shall be an harlot in the city, and thy sons and thy daughters shall fall by the sword, and thy land shall be divided by line; and thou shalt die in a polluted land: and Israel shall surely go into captivity forth of his land.
Therefore the LORD says: ‘Your wife shall be a prostitute in the city, and your sons and your daughters shall fall by the sword, and your land shall be divided by line; and you yourself shall die in a land that is unclean, and Israel shall surely be led away captive out of his land.’”
