1Vi al Señor parado al lado del altar del templo de Jerusalén, y dijo: «Destrocen los capiteles de las columnas y sacudan el templo hasta que las columnas se desmoronen y el techo se desplome sobre la gente. Si alguno queda vivo en esa ocasión, entonces haré que muera en la guerra. ¡Ninguno logrará escapar con vida!
2Aunque hagan un hueco y traten de bajar a lo más profundo de la tierra, hasta allí iré a buscarlos y los sacaré para darles su merecido; aunque pudieran subir al cielo intentando escapar, yo los haría descender para darles el castigo que se merecen.
3»Aunque se escondan entre las rocas en la cima del monte Carmelo, yo los buscaré allá y los capturaré. Aunque se escondan en el fondo del océano, yo enviaré la serpiente marina tras ellos para morderlos y destruirlos.
4Aunque sus enemigos se los lleven como esclavos a un país muy lejano, hasta allá haré que mueran atravesados por la espada. Yo me aseguraré de que reciban mal y no bien».
5Dios, el Señor Todopoderoso, toca la tierra y esta se derrite ante lo intenso de su cólera; la hace subir y bajar como si fuera el río Nilo, como ocurre en un terremoto. Por eso, lloran todos los habitantes de la tierra.
6El Señor construyó su palacio en el cielo, y ha puesto sus cimientos en la tierra. Él llama a las aguas del mar y las derraman como lluvia sobre la tierra. Su nombre es el Señor.
7El Señor ha dicho: «Israelitas, ¿acaso no son ustedes para mí iguales que los cursitas? ¿Acaso yo, que los saqué a ustedes de Egipto, no he hecho lo mismo con otros pueblos también? Yo saqué de Creta a los filisteos y de Quir a los sirios. Lo ha dicho el Señor.
8»Mis ojos están observando a Israel, esa nación tan inclinada a la maldad; por lo que veo, exterminaré a sus habitantes, los descendientes de Jacob; aunque dejaré a algunos de ellos con vida. Lo ha dicho el Señor.
9»Pues yo he mandado que Israel sea zarandeado por las otras naciones, como se zarandea el trigo en una criba, sin que un solo grano caiga a tierra.
10En cambio, sí morirán en batalla todos estos malvados que dicen: “Dios no nos tocará; ninguna desgracia tendremos que sufrir nosotros”.
11»Luego, en ese tiempo yo repararé la casa de David, repararé sus grietas, levantaré sus murallas, y haré que vuelva a ser tan importante como antes.
12Israel, que es mi pueblo, se adueñará de lo que queda de Edom y de todas las naciones vecinas. Lo ha dicho el Señor, quien hará que esto ocurra.
13»El tiempo vendrá cuando habrá tal abundancia de cosechas, que la temporada de la siega casi no habrá terminado cuando el agricultor comenzará de nuevo a sembrar para otra cosecha; y los montes sembrados de uvas producirán tanto, que sobrará el vino. ¡Sí, de las colinas bajará el vino como si fuera un río! Lo ha dicho el Señor.
14»Ese día, yo haré que mi pueblo Israel regrese a su país. Entonces reconstruirán sus ciudades arruinadas, y vivirán en ellas de nuevo; plantarán viñas y disfrutarán de su vino, cultivarán la tierra y comerán sus cosechas.
15Yo los plantaré firmemente allí sobre la tierra que les he dado; y nunca más serán arrancados de su tierra». Lo ha dicho el Señor, tu Dios.

1VI al Señor que estaba sobre el altar, y dijo: Hiere el umbral, y estremézcanse las puertas: y córtales en piezas la cabeza de todos; y el postrero de ellos mataré á cuchillo: no habrá de ellos quien se fugue, ni quien escape.
2Aunque cavasen hasta el infierno, de allá los tomará mi mano; y si subieren hasta el cielo, de allá los haré descender.
3Y si se escondieren en la cumbre del Carmelo, allí los buscaré y los tomaré; y aunque se escondieren de delante de mis ojos en el profundo de la mar, allí mandaré á la culebra, y morderálos.
4Y si fueren en cautiverio, delante de sus enemigos, allí mandaré al cuchillo, y los matará; y pondré sobre ellos mis ojos para mal, y no para bien.
5El Señor Jehová de los ejércitos es el que toca la tierra, y se derretirá, y llorarán todos los que en ella moran: y subirá toda como un río, y hundiráse luego como el río de Egipto.
6El edificó en el cielo sus gradas, y ha establecido su expansión sobre la tierra: él llama las aguas de la mar, y sobre la haz de la tierra las derrama: Jehová es su nombre.
7Hijos de Israel, ¿no me sois vosotros, dice Jehová, como hijos de Etiopes? ¿no hice yo subir á Israel de la tierra de Egipto, y á los Palestinos de Caphtor, y de Chîr á los Arameos?
8He aquí los ojos del Señor Jehová están contra el reino pecador, y yo lo asolaré de la haz de la tierra: mas no destruiré del todo la casa de Jacob, dice Jehová.
9Porque he aquí yo mandaré, y haré que la casa de Israel sea zarandeada entre todas las gentes, como se zarandea el grano en un harnero, y no cae un granito en la tierra.
10A cuchillo morirán todos los pecadores de mi pueblo, que dicen: No se acercará, ni nos alcanzará el mal.
11En aquel día yo levantaré el tabernáculo de David, caído, y cerraré sus portillos, y levantaré sus ruinas, y edificarélo como en el tiempo pasado;
12Para que aquellos sobre los cuales es llamado mi nombre, posean el resto de Idumea, y á todas las naciones, dice Jehová que hace esto.
13He aquí vienen días, dice Jehová, en que el que ara alcanzará al segador, y el pisador de las uvas al que lleva la simiente; y los montes destilarán mosto, y todos los collados se derretirán.
14Y tornaré el cautiverio de mi pueblo Israel, y edificarán ellos las ciudades asoladas, y las habitarán; y plantarán viñas, y beberán el vino de ellas; y harán huertos, y comerán el fruto de ellos.
15Pues los plantaré sobre su tierra, y nunca más serán arrancados de su tierra que yo les dí, ha dicho Jehová Dios tuyo.

1I saw the Lord standing upon the altar: and he said, Smite the lintel of the door, that the posts may shake: and cut them in the head, all of them; and I will slay the last of them with the sword: he that fleeth of them shall not flee away, and he that escapeth of them shall not be delivered.
2Though they dig into hell, thence shall mine hand take them; though they climb up to heaven, thence will I bring them down:
3And though they hide themselves in the top of Carmel, I will search and take them out thence; and though they be hid from my sight in the bottom of the sea, thence will I command the serpent, and he shall bite them:
4And though they go into captivity before their enemies, thence will I command the sword, and it shall slay them: and I will set mine eyes upon them for evil, and not for good.
5And the Lord GOD of hosts is he that toucheth the land, and it shall melt, and all that dwell therein shall mourn: and it shall rise up wholly like a flood; and shall be drowned, as by the flood of Egypt.
6It is he that buildeth his stories in the heaven, and hath founded his troop in the earth; he that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The LORD is his name.
7Are ye not as children of the Ethiopians unto me, O children of Israel? saith the LORD. Have not I brought up Israel out of the land of Egypt? and the Philistines from Caphtor, and the Syrians from Kir?
8Behold, the eyes of the Lord GOD are upon the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from off the face of the earth; saving that I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob, saith the LORD.
9For, lo, I will command, and I will sift the house of Israel among all nations, like as corn is sifted in a sieve, yet shall not the least grain fall upon the earth.
10All the sinners of my people shall die by the sword, which say, The evil shall not overtake nor prevent us.
11In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old:
12That they may possess the remnant of Edom, and of all the heathen, which are called by my name, saith the LORD that doeth this.
13Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt.
14And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them.
15And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith the LORD thy God.

1I saw the Lord standing beside the altar, and he said, “Strike the tops of the pillars, that the thresholds may shake. Break them in pieces on the head of all of them. I will kill the last of them with the sword. Not one of them will flee away. Not one of them will escape.
2Though they dig into Sheol, there my hand will take them; and though they climb up to heaven, there I will bring them down.
3Though they hide themselves in the top of Carmel, I will search and take them out from there; and though they be hidden from my sight in the bottom of the sea, there I will command the serpent, and it will bite them.
4Though they go into captivity before their enemies, there I will command the sword, and it will kill them. I will set my eyes on them for evil, and not for good.
5For the Lord, the GOD of Armies, is he who touches the land and it melts, and all who dwell in it will mourn; and it will rise up wholly like the River, and will sink again, like the River of Egypt.
6It is he who builds his rooms in the heavens, and has founded his vault on the earth; he who calls for the waters of the sea, and pours them out on the surface of the earth—the LORD is his name.
7Are you not like the children of the Ethiopians to me, children of Israel?” says the LORD. “Haven’t I brought up Israel out of the land of Egypt, and the Philistines from Caphtor, and the Syrians from Kir?
8Behold, the eyes of the Lord GOD are on the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from off the surface of the earth, except that I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob,” says the LORD.
9“For behold, I will command, and I will sift the house of Israel among all the nations as grain is sifted in a sieve, yet not the least kernel will fall on the earth.
10All the sinners of my people will die by the sword, who say, ‘Evil won’t overtake nor meet us.’
11In that day I will raise up the tent of David who is fallen and close up its breaches, and I will raise up its ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old,
12that they may possess the remnant of Edom and all the nations who are called by my name,” says the LORD who does this.
13“Behold, the days come,” says the LORD, “that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the one treading grapes him who sows seed; and sweet wine will drip from the mountains, and flow from the hills.
14I will bring my people Israel back from captivity, and they will rebuild the ruined cities, and inhabit them; and they will plant vineyards, and drink wine from them. They shall also make gardens, and eat their fruit.
15I will plant them on their land, and they will no more be plucked up out of their land which I have given them,” says the LORD your God.
