en vista de la esperanza de la gloria, que os está reservada en los cielos, esperanza que habéis adquirido cuando se os anunció la verdadera doctrina del Evangelio.
A causa de la esperanza que os está guardada en los cielos, de la cual habéis oído ya por la palabra verdadera del evangelio:
For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel;

El cual se ha propagado entre vosotros, como así mismo en todo el mundo, donde fructifica y va creciendo, del modo que lo ha hecho entre vosotros, desde aquel día en que oísteis y conocisteis la gracia de Dios según la verdad,

conforme la aprendisteis de nuestro carísimo Epafras, que es nuestro compañero en el servicio de Dios, y un fiel ministro de Jesucristo para con vosotros;

That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

corroborados en toda suerte de fortaleza por el poder glorioso de su gracia, para tener siempre una perfecta paciencia, y longanimidad acompañada de alegría,

Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;

y el cual es imagen perfecta del Dios invisible, engendrado desde siempre ante toda criatura;

pues por él fueron creadas todas las cosas en los cielos y en la tierra, las visibles y las invisibles, ora sean tronos, ora dominaciones, ora principados, ora potestades, todas las cosas fueron creadas por él mismo y en atención a él mismo;

For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

y así él tiene ser ante todas las cosas, y todas subsisten por él y por él son conservadas.

And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

Y él es la cabeza del cuerpo de la Iglesia y el principio de la resurrección , el primero a renacer de entre los muertos, para que en todo tenga él la primacía;

pues quiso el Padre poner en él la plenitud de todo ser.

y reconciliar por él todas las cosas consigo, restableciendo la paz entre cielo y tierra por medio de la sangre que derramó en la cruz.

And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

Igualmente a vosotros que antes os habíais extrañado de Dios, y erais enemigos suyos de corazón, por causa de vuestras malas obras,
A vosotros también, que erais en otro tiempo extraños y enemigos de ánimo en malas obras, ahora empero os ha reconciliado
And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled

con tal que perseveréis cimentados en la fe, y firmes e inconmovibles en la esperanza del Evangelio que oísteis, y que ha sido predicando en todas las naciones que habitan debajo del cielo, del cual yo, Pablo, he sido hecho ministro.
Si empero permanecéis fundados y firmes en la fe, y sin moveros de la esperanza del evangelio que habéis oído; el cual es predicado á toda criatura que está debajo del cielo; del cual yo Pablo soy hecho ministro.
If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;
if it is so that you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the Good News which you heard, which was proclaimed in all creation under heaven, of which I, Paul, was made a servant.
Yo que ahora gozo de lo que padezco por vosotros, y estoy cumpliendo en mi carne lo que resta que padecer a Cristo en sus miembros, sufriendo trabajos en pro de su cuerpo místico, el cual es la Iglesia,
Que ahora me gozo en lo que padezco por vosotros, y cumplo en mi carne lo que falta de las aflicciones de Cristo por su cuerpo, que es la iglesia;
Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body’s sake, which is the church:
Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and fill up on my part that which is lacking of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body’s sake, which is the assembly,
cuyo ministro soy yo por la disposición de Dios, ministerio que se me ha dado en orden a vosotros, gentiles, para desempeñar la predicación de la palabra de Dios,
De la cual soy hecho ministro, según la dispensación de Dios que me fué dada en orden á vosotros, para que cumpla la palabra de Dios;
Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God;
of which I was made a servant according to the stewardship of God which was given me toward you to fulfill the word of God,
anunciándoos el misterio escondido a los siglos y generaciones pasadas, y que ahora ha sido revelado a sus santos,
A saber, el misterio que había estado oculto desde los siglos y edades, mas ahora ha sido manifestado á sus santos:
Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:
the mystery which has been hidden for ages and generations. But now it has been revealed to his saints,
a quienes Dios ha querido hacer patentes las riquezas de la gloria de este misterio entre las naciones, el cual no es otra cosa que Cristo , hecho por la fe la esperanza de vuestra gloria.
A los cuales quiso Dios hacer notorias las riquezas de la gloria de este misterio entre los Gentiles; que es Cristo en vosotros la esperanza de gloria:
To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
to whom God was pleased to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
Este es a quien predicamos nosotros, amonestando a todos los hombres, e instruyéndolos a todos en toda sabiduría o conocimientos celestiales, para hacerlos a todos perfectos en Jesucristo,
El cual nosotros anunciamos, amonestando á todo hombre, y enseñando en toda sabiduría, para que presentemos á todo hombre perfecto en Cristo Jesús:
Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:
We proclaim him, admonishing every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus;
a cuyo fin dirijo yo todos mis esfuerzos, peleando según el impulso que ejerce en mí el Señor, con su poderosa virtud.
En lo cual aun trabajo, combatiendo según la operación de él, la cual obra en mí poderosamente.
