Ich will euch nämlich wissen lassen, welch schweren Kampf ich für euch und die (Brüder) in Laodizea sowie (überhaupt) für alle, denen ich bis jetzt persönlich noch unbekannt geblieben bin, zu bestehen habe.

PORQUE quiero que sepáis cuán gran solicitud tengo por vosotros, y por los que están en Laodicea, y por todos los que nunca vieron mi rostro en carne;

For I would that ye knew what great conflict I have for you, and for them at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh;

For I desire to have you know how greatly I struggle for you and for those at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh;

Ihre Herzen sollen dadurch ermutigt werden, nachdem sie sich in Liebe fest zusammengeschlossen haben und in den ganzen Reichtum des vollen Verständnisses (eingeführt werden), zur Erkenntnis des Geheimnisses Gottes.

Para que sean confortados sus corazones, unidos en amor, y en todas riquezas de cumplido entendimiento para conocer el misterio de Dios, y del Padre, y de Cristo;

That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;

that their hearts may be comforted, they being knit together in love, and gaining all riches of the full assurance of understanding, that they may know the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ,

Dieses (Geheimnis) ist Christus, in welchem alle Schätze der Weisheit und Erkenntnis verborgen liegen.

En el cual están escondidos todos los tesoros de sabiduría y conocimiento.

In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

Ich sage dies aber, damit niemand euch durch Überredungskünste täusche.

Y esto digo, para que nadie os engañe con palabras persuasivas.

And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words.

Now I say this that no one may delude you with persuasiveness of speech.

Denn wenn ich auch leiblich abwesend bin, so bin ich doch dem Geist nach bei euch gegenwärtig und sehe mit Freuden eure festgeschlossene Kampfstellung und das gesicherte Bollwerk eures Glaubens an Christus.

Porque aunque estoy ausente con el cuerpo, no obstante con el espíritu estoy con vosotros, gozándome y mirando vuestro concierto, y la firmeza de vuestra fe en Cristo.

For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ.

Wie ihr nun den Herrn Christus Jesus angenommen habt, so wandelt nun auch in ihm:

bleibt in ihm festgewurzelt und baut euch in ihm auf und werdet fest im Glauben, wie ihr unterwiesen worden seid, und laßt es an reichlicher Danksagung nicht fehlen.

Arraigados y sobreedificados en él, y confirmados en la fe, así como habéis aprendido, creciendo en ella con hacimiento de gracias.

Gebt wohl acht, daß niemand euch einfängt durch die Philosophie und eitle Täuschung, die sich auf menschliche Überlieferung, auf die Elemente der Welt, gründet und mit Christus nichts zu tun hat.

Mirad que ninguno os engañe por filosofías y vanas sutilezas, según las tradiciones de los hombres, conforme á los elementos del mundo, y no según Cristo:

Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

Be careful that you don’t let anyone rob you through his philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the elemental spirits of the world, and not after Christ.

Denn in ihm wohnt die ganze Fülle der Gottheit leibhaftig,

Porque en él habita toda la plenitud de la divinidad corporalmente:

For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

For in him all the fullness of the Deity dwells bodily,

und ihr besitzt die ganze Fülle in ihm, der das Haupt jeder Herrschaft und Gewalt ist.

Y en él estáis cumplidos, el cual es la cabeza de todo principado y potestad:

In ihm habt ihr auch die Beschneidung empfangen, nämlich eine solche, die nicht mit Händen vollzogen ist, nein, die in der Ablegung des Fleischesleibes besteht: die Beschneidung Christi,

En el cual también sois circuncidados de circuncisión no hecha con manos, con el despojamiento del cuerpo de los pecados de la carne, en la circuncisión de Cristo;

In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:

In him you were also circumcised with a circumcision not made with hands, in the putting off of the body of the sins of the flesh, in the circumcision of Christ,

da ihr in der Taufe mit ihm zusammen begraben worden seid. In ihm seid ihr auch mitauferweckt worden durch den Glauben an die Kraftwirkung Gottes, der ihn aus den Toten auferweckt hat.

Sepultados juntamente con él en el bautismo, en el cual también resucitasteis con él, por la fe de la operación de Dios que le levantó de los muertos.

Auch euch, die ihr durch eure Übertretungen und den unbeschnittenen Zustand eures Fleisches (einst) tot waret, auch euch hat Gott zusammen mit ihm lebendig gemacht, indem er uns alle Übertretungen aus Gnaden vergeben hat,

dadurch, daß er den durch seine Satzungen gegen uns lautenden Schuldschein, der für unser Heil ein Hindernis bildete, ausgelöscht und ihn weggeschafft hat, indem er ihn ans Kreuz heftete.

Rayendo la cédula de los ritos que nos era contraria, que era contra nosotros, quitándola de en medio y enclavándola en la cruz;

Por tanto, nadie os juzgue en comida, ó en bebida, ó en parte de día de fiesta, ó de nueva luna, ó de sábados:

Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:

diese Dinge sind ja doch nur der Schatten von dem in der Zukunft Kommenden; das leibhaftige Wesen dagegen gehört Christus an.

Lo cual es la sombra de lo por venir; mas el cuerpo es de Cristo.

Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

Niemand soll euch verurteilen, indem er sich in demutsvollem Wesen und in Verehrung der Engel gefällt, sich mit Gesichten brüstet, ohne Grund von seinem fleischlichen Sinn aufgeblasen ist

Nadie os prive de vuestro premio, afectando humildad y culto á los ángeles, metiéndose en lo que no ha visto, vanamente hinchado en el sentido de su propia carne,

Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,

Let no one rob you of your prize by self-abasement and worshiping of the angels, dwelling in the things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,

und sich nicht an das Haupt hält, von dem aus der ganze Leib durch die Gelenke und Bänder unterstützt und zusammengehalten wird und so ein gottgeordnetes Wachstum vollzieht.

Y no teniendo la cabeza, de la cual todo el cuerpo, alimentado y conjunto por las ligaduras y conjunturas, crece en aumento de Dios.

And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God.

Wenn ihr mit Christus gestorben seid, los von den Elementen der Welt, was laßt ihr euch da, als ob ihr noch in der Welt lebtet, Satzungen aufbürden,

Pues si sois muertos con Cristo cuanto á los rudimentos del mundo, ¿por qué como si vivieseis al mundo, os sometéis á ordenanzas,

Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances,

If you died with Christ from the elemental spirits of the world, why, as though living in the world, do you subject yourselves to ordinances,

Tales como, No manejes, ni gustes, ni aun toques,

(Touch not; taste not; handle not;

“Don’t handle, nor taste, nor touch”

Alles Derartige ist doch dazu bestimmt, durch den Verbrauch der Vernichtung anheimzufallen, und stellt (nur) Menschengebote und Menschenlehren dar,

(Las cuales cosas son todas para destrucción en el uso mismo), en conformidad á mandamientos y doctrinas de hombres?

Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men?

(all of which perish with use), according to the precepts and doctrines of men?

die zwar im Ruf besonderer Weisheit infolge einer selbsterwählten Frömmigkeit und Demut und schonungsloser Härte gegen den Körper stehen, aber ohne wirklichen Wert sind, indem sie nur zur Befriedigung des Fleisches dienen.

Tales cosas tienen á la verdad cierta reputación de sabiduría en culto voluntario, y humildad, y en duro trato del cuerpo; no en alguna honra para el saciar de la carne.

Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body; not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh.

These things indeed appear like wisdom in self-imposed worship, humility, and severity to the body, but aren’t of any value against the indulgence of the flesh.
