Daniel 11

No primeiro ano do reinado de Dario, rei dos medos, eu fui mandado para animá-lo e ajudá-lo.

Y EN el año primero de Darío el de Media, yo estuve para animarlo y fortalecerlo.

Also I in the first year of Darius the Mede, even I, stood to confirm and to strengthen him.

“As for me, in the first year of Darius the Mede, I stood up to confirm and strengthen him.

Agora vou mostrar a você o que vai acontecer no futuro. A Pérsia ainda vai ter três reis. Estes serão seguidos por um quarto rei, mais rico que todos eles. Ele vai usar sua riqueza para formar um grande exército e tentará destruir o reino da Grécia.

Y ahora yo te mostraré la verdad. He aquí que aun habrá tres reyes en Persia, y el cuarto se hará de grandes riquezas más que todos; y fortificándose con sus riquezas, despertará á todos contra el reino de Javán.

And now will I shew thee the truth. Behold, there shall stand up yet three kings in Persia; and the fourth shall be far richer than they all: and by his strength through his riches he shall stir up all against the realm of Grecia.

“Now I will show you the truth. Behold, three more kings will stand up in Persia. The fourth will be far richer than all of them. When he has grown strong through his riches, he will stir up all against the realm of Greece.

Depois disso, um grande rei vai surgir e dominar um enorme império. Tudo que desejar fazer, ele vai conseguir.

Levantaráse luego un rey valiente, el cual se enseñoreará sobre gran dominio, y hará su voluntad.

And a mighty king shall stand up, that shall rule with great dominion, and do according to his will.

A mighty king will stand up, who will rule with great dominion, and do according to his will.

Mas quando estiver no máximo do poder, seu reino será quebrado e dividido em quatro partes mais fracas. Esses quatro novos reinos não vão ser dominados pelos filhos do grande rei. O seu reino será arrancado e entregue a outros.

Pero cuando estará enseñoreado, será quebrantado su reino, y repartido por los cuatro vientos del cielo; y no á sus descendientes, ni según el señorío con que él se enseñoreó: porque su reino será arrancado, y para otros fuera de aquellos.

And when he shall stand up, his kingdom shall be broken, and shall be divided toward the four winds of heaven; and not to his posterity, nor according to his dominion which he ruled: for his kingdom shall be plucked up, even for others beside those.

When he stands up, his kingdom will be broken and will be divided toward the four winds of the sky, but not to his posterity, nor according to his dominion with which he ruled; for his kingdom will be plucked up, even for others besides these.

“Um desses novos reis, o rei do sul, criará uma nação poderosa, mas seus generais vão se revoltar. O rei perderá o trono, porém os generais acabarão deixando o reino ainda mais forte que antes.

Y haráse fuerte el rey del mediodía: mas uno de los príncipes de aquél le sobrepujará, y se hará poderoso; su señorío será grande señorío.

And the king of the south shall be strong, and one of his princes; and he shall be strong above him, and have dominion; his dominion shall be a great dominion.

“The king of the south will be strong. One of his princes will become stronger than him, and have dominion. His dominion will be a great dominion.

Mas depois de alguns anos, eles farão um tratado de paz. Como prova de amizade e confiança, a filha do rei do sul se casará com o rei do norte, mas ele não manterá o seu poder e sua descendência não sobreviverá. Aí ela será assassinada, junto com sua escolta real e com seu filho.

Y al cabo de años se concertarán, y la hija del rey del mediodía vendrá al rey del norte para hacer los conciertos. Empero ella no podrá retener la fuerza del brazo: ni permanecerá él, ni su brazo; porque será entregada ella, y los que la habían traído, asimismo su hijo, y los que estaban de parte de ella en aquel tiempo.

And in the end of years they shall join themselves together; for the king’s daughter of the south shall come to the king of the north to make an agreement: but she shall not retain the power of the arm; neither shall he stand, nor his arm: but she shall be given up, and they that brought her, and he that begat her, and he that strengthened her in these times.

At the end of years they will join themselves together; and the daughter of the king of the south will come to the king of the north to make an agreement, but she will not retain the strength of her arm. He will also not stand, nor will his arm; but she will be given up, with those who brought her, and he who became the father of her, and he who strengthened her in those times.

Porém, quando seu irmão se tornar rei no lugar dela, fará guerra contra o rei do norte e o vencerá, entrando na sua fortaleza.

Mas del renuevo de sus raíces se levantará uno sobre su silla, y vendrá con ejército, y entrará en la fortaleza del rey del norte, y hará en ellos á su arbitrio, y predominará.

But out of a branch of her roots shall one stand up in his estate, which shall come with an army, and shall enter into the fortress of the king of the north, and shall deal against them, and shall prevail:

“But out of a shoot from her roots one will stand up in his place, who will come to the army and will enter into the fortress of the king of the north, and will deal against them and will prevail.

Ao voltar para o Egito, levará os ídolos e imagens deles. Além disso, levará para sua terra muitos objetos de ouro e de prata. Depois, haverá paz entre eles por alguns anos.

Y aun los dioses de ellos, con sus príncipes, con sus vasos preciosos de plata y de oro, llevará cautivos á Egipto: y por años se mantendrá él contra el rey del norte.

And shall also carry captives into Egypt their gods, with their princes, and with their precious vessels of silver and of gold; and he shall continue more years than the king of the north.

He will also carry their gods with their molten images, and with their goodly vessels of silver and of gold, captive into Egypt. He will refrain some years from the king of the north.

Após esse período de paz, o rei do norte fará um ataque rápido contra o rei do sul, mas voltará depressa para sua terra.

Así entrará en el reino el rey del mediodía, y volverá á su tierra.

So the king of the south shall come into his kingdom, and shall return into his own land.

He will come into the realm of the king of the south, but he will return into his own land.

Porém os filhos desse rei vão reunir um grande exército e, passando por Israel, atacarão as fortalezas do rei do sul.

Mas los hijos de aquél se airarán, y reunirán multitud de grandes ejércitos: y vendrá á gran priesa, é inundará, y pasará, y tornará, y llegará con ira hasta su fortaleza.

But his sons shall be stirred up, and shall assemble a multitude of great forces: and one shall certainly come, and overflow, and pass through: then shall he return, and be stirred up, even to his fortress.

His sons will wage war, and will assemble a multitude of great forces which will come on, and overflow, and pass through. They will return and wage war, even to his fortress.

O rei do sul vai reagir valentemente, atacando e derrotando o grande exército do rei do norte.

Por lo cual se enfurecerá el rey del mediodía, y saldrá, y peleará con el mismo rey del norte; y pondrá en campo gran multitud, y toda aquella multitud será entregada en su mano.

And the king of the south shall be moved with choler, and shall come forth and fight with him, even with the king of the north: and he shall set forth a great multitude; but the multitude shall be given into his hand.

“The king of the south will be moved with anger and will come out and fight with him, even with the king of the north. He will send out a great multitude, and the multitude will be given into his hand.

Então, cheio de orgulho, o rei do sul mandará matar milhares de soldados inimigos. Apesar disso, a alegria da vitória vai durar pouco tempo.

Y la multitud se ensoberbecerá, elevaráse su corazón, y derribará muchos millares; mas no prevalecerá.

And when he hath taken away the multitude, his heart shall be lifted up; and he shall cast down many ten thousands: but he shall not be strengthened by it.

The multitude will be carried off, and his heart will be exalted. He will cast down tens of thousands, but he won’t prevail.

Alguns anos depois, o rei do norte voltará à guerra, com um exército maior e mais bem treinado que o anterior.

Y el rey del norte volverá á poner en campo mayor multitud que primero, y á cabo del tiempo de años vendrá á gran priesa con grande ejército y con muchas riquezas.

For the king of the north shall return, and shall set forth a multitude greater than the former, and shall certainly come after certain years with a great army and with much riches.

The king of the north will return, and will send out a multitude greater than the former. He will come on at the end of the times, even of years, with a great army and with abundant supplies.

“Além disso, outras nações vão se unir contra o rei do sul. Até alguns judeus revoltados vão se juntar a esse exército, para cumprirem a profecia, mas não conseguirão nada com isso.

Y en aquellos tiempos se levantarán muchos contra el rey del mediodía; é hijos de disipadores de tu pueblo se levantarán para confirmar la profecía, y caerán.

And in those times there shall many stand up against the king of the south: also the robbers of thy people shall exalt themselves to establish the vision; but they shall fall.

“In those times many will stand up against the king of the south. Also the children of the violent among your people will lift themselves up to establish the vision, but they will fall.

O rei do norte e seus aliados cercarão algumas fortalezas do rei do sul e vencerão as batalhas. Os orgulhosos soldados do rei do sul serão completamente derrotados, e os melhores deles não resistirão.

Vendrá pues el rey del norte, y fundará baluartes, y tomará la ciudad fuerte; y los brazos del mediodía no podrán permanecer, ni su pueblo escogido, ni habrá fortaleza que pueda resistir.

So the king of the north shall come, and cast up a mount, and take the most fenced cities: and the arms of the south shall not withstand, neither his chosen people, neither shall there be any strength to withstand.

So the king of the north will come and cast up a mound, and take a well-fortified city. The forces of the south won’t stand, neither will his select troops, neither will there be any strength to stand.

O rei do norte continuará avançando com seus exércitos, e ninguém será capaz de deter o seu avanço. Ele invadirá a terra magnífica, e levará consigo todas as riquezas.

Y el que vendrá contra él, hará á su voluntad, ni habrá quien se le pueda parar delante; y estará en la tierra deseable, la cual será consumida en su poder.

But he that cometh against him shall do according to his own will, and none shall stand before him: and he shall stand in the glorious land, which by his hand shall be consumed.

But he who comes against him will do according to his own will, and no one will stand before him. He will stand in the glorious land, and destruction will be in his hand.

Para conquistar completamente o rei do sul, ele tentará fazer uma aliança com ele; dará a sua filha em casamento ao rei do sul. Ela será uma espiã para seu pai, mas o plano não vai dar resultado.

Pondrá luego su rostro para venir con el poder de todo su reino; y hará con aquél cosas rectas, y darále una hija de mujeres para trastornarla: mas no estará ni será por él.

He shall also set his face to enter with the strength of his whole kingdom, and upright ones with him; thus shall he do: and he shall give him the daughter of women, corrupting her: but she shall not stand on his side, neither be for him.

He will set his face to come with the strength of his whole kingdom, and with him equitable conditions. He will perform them. He will give him the daughter of women, to destroy the kingdom, but she will not stand, and won’t be for him.

Depois disso, esse rei atacará as cidades do litoral e conquistará muitas delas. Mas um certo comandante vai derrotá-lo numa batalha, fazendo seu exército se retirar envergonhado.

Volverá después su rostro á las islas, y tomará muchas; mas un príncipe le hará parar su afrenta, y aun tornará sobre él su oprobio.

After this shall he turn his face unto the isles, and shall take many: but a prince for his own behalf shall cause the reproach offered by him to cease; without his own reproach he shall cause it to turn upon him.

After this he will turn his face to the islands, and will take many, but a prince will cause the reproach offered by him to cease. Yes, moreover, he will cause his reproach to turn on him.

Durante a volta para as fortalezas da sua terra, esse rei tropeçará e cairá, e assim desaparecerá.

Luego volverá su rostro á las fortalezas de su tierra: mas tropezará y caerá, y no parecerá más.

Then he shall turn his face toward the fort of his own land: but he shall stumble and fall, and not be found.

Then he will turn his face toward the fortresses of his own land; but he will stumble and fall, and won’t be found.

“O rei que virá depois dele será lembrado como o rei que mandou um cobrador de impostos para enriquecer a sua terra. O seu reinado será curto, e ele morrerá misteriosamente, mas não na guerra ou no conflito.

Entonces sucederá en su silla uno que hará pasar exactor por la gloria del reino; mas en pocos días será quebrantado, no en enojo, ni en batalla.

Then shall stand up in his estate a raiser of taxes in the glory of the kingdom: but within few days he shall be destroyed, neither in anger, nor in battle.

“Then one who will cause a tax collector to pass through the kingdom to maintain its glory will stand up in his place; but within few days he shall be destroyed, not in anger, and not in battle.

“O rei que virá a seguir será um homem muito mau, a quem o reino não pertencerá por direito de família. Ele se tornará rei fazendo intrigas, em pleno tempo de paz.

Y sucederá en su lugar un vil, al cual no darán la honra del reino: vendrá empero con paz, y tomará el reino con halagos.

And in his estate shall stand up a vile person, to whom they shall not give the honour of the kingdom: but he shall come in peaceably, and obtain the kingdom by flatteries.

“In his place a contemptible person will stand up, to whom they had not given the honor of the kingdom; but he will come in time of security, and will obtain the kingdom by flatteries.

Ao se tornar rei, vai eliminar todos os seus inimigos, inclusive o príncipe da aliança.

Y con los brazos de inundación serán inundados delante de él, y serán quebrantados; y aun también el príncipe del pacto.

And with the arms of a flood shall they be overflown from before him, and shall be broken; yea, also the prince of the covenant.

The overwhelming forces will be overwhelmed from before him, and will be broken. Yes, also the prince of the covenant.

As promessas desse rei não valerão coisa alguma! Sua maneira de conseguir realizar a sua vontade será a mentira. Mesmo tendo poucos seguidores, ele se tornará um rei muito poderoso.

Y después de los conciertos con él, él hará engaño, y subirá, y saldrá vencedor con poca gente.

And after the league made with him he shall work deceitfully: for he shall come up, and shall become strong with a small people.

After the treaty made with him he will work deceitfully; for he will come up and will become strong with few people.

Ele invadirá as terras mais ricas sem aviso e fará algo que nunca tinha sido feito antes: vai dividir as terras dos ricos com o povo. Conseguirá conquistar muitas fortalezas poderosas, mas isso durará pouco tempo.

Estando la provincia en paz y en abundancia, entrará y hará lo que no hicieron sus padres, ni los padres de sus padres; presa, y despojos, y riquezas repartirá á sus soldados; y contra las fortalezas formará sus designios: y esto por tiempo.

He shall enter peaceably even upon the fattest places of the province; and he shall do that which his fathers have not done, nor his fathers’ fathers; he shall scatter among them the prey, and spoil, and riches: yea, and he shall forecast his devices against the strong holds, even for a time.

In time of security he will come even on the fattest places of the province. He will do that which his fathers have not done, nor his fathers’ fathers. He will scatter among them prey, plunder, and wealth. Yes, he will devise his plans against the strongholds, but only for a time.

Depois disso, com coragem, formará um grande exército para atacar o rei do sul. Por seu lado, o rei do sul também vai formar grandes tropas para a luta, mas, apesar disso, os planos secretos do rei do norte darão resultado.

Y despertará sus fuerzas y su corazón contra el rey del mediodía con grande ejército: y el rey del mediodía se moverá á la guerra con grande y muy fuerte ejército; mas no prevalecerá, porque le harán traición.

And he shall stir up his power and his courage against the king of the south with a great army; and the king of the south shall be stirred up to battle with a very great and mighty army; but he shall not stand: for they shall forecast devices against him.

“He will stir up his power and his courage against the king of the south with a great army; and the king of the south will wage war in battle with an exceedingly great and mighty army, but he won’t stand; for they will devise plans against him.

Espiões do rei do norte que viviam no próprio palácio do rei do sul causarão a derrota do rei do sul; o seu exército vai perder muitos soldados, entre mortos, feridos e os que fugirão do combate.

Aun los que comerán su pan, le quebrantarán; y su ejército será destruído, y caerán muchos muertos.

Yea, they that feed of the portion of his meat shall destroy him, and his army shall overflow: and many shall fall down slain.

Yes, those who eat of his delicacies will destroy him, and his army will be swept away. Many will fall down slain.

Quando estiverem reunidos para tratar da paz, esses dois reis farão planos para enganar um ao outro, mas sem resultado, pois o fim só virá no tempo determinado.

Y el corazón de estos dos reyes será para hacer mal, y en una misma mesa tratarán mentira: mas no servirá de nada, porque el plazo aun no es llegado.

And both these kings’ hearts shall be to do mischief, and they shall speak lies at one table; but it shall not prosper: for yet the end shall be at the time appointed.

As for both these kings, their hearts will be to do evil, and they will speak lies at one table; but it won’t prosper, for the end will still be at the appointed time.

O rei do norte voltará para a sua terra carregado de riquezas. Planejará acabar com a santa aliança e fará grandes estragos, matando e destruindo. Depois voltará para a sua terra.

Y volveráse á su tierra con grande riqueza, y su corazón será contra el pacto santo: hará pues, y volveráse á su tierra.

Then shall he return into his land with great riches; and his heart shall be against the holy covenant; and he shall do exploits, and return to his own land.

Then he will return into his land with great wealth. His heart will be against the holy covenant. He will take action, and return to his own land.

“Depois, no tempo determinado, o rei do norte voltará a atacar o sul. Dessa vez, porém, a história vai ser diferente.

Al tiempo señalado tornará al mediodía; mas no será la postrera venida como la primera.

At the time appointed he shall return, and come toward the south; but it shall not be as the former, or as the latter.

“He will return at the appointed time and come into the south; but it won’t be in the latter time as it was in the former.

Aparecerão alguns navios de guerra vindos da costa ocidental. Ele ficará com medo e voltará para sua terra. Furioso por ter sido obrigado a fugir da batalha, o rei do norte atacará novamente a santa aliança, fazendo o que quiser. Desta vez ele tratará com bondade aqueles que abandonaram a santa aliança.

Porque vendrán contra él naves de Chîttim, y él se contristará, y se volverá, y enojaráse contra el pacto santo, y hará: volveráse pues, y pensará en los que habrán desamparado el santo pacto.

For the ships of Chittim shall come against him: therefore he shall be grieved, and return, and have indignation against the holy covenant: so shall he do; he shall even return, and have intelligence with them that forsake the holy covenant.

For ships of Kittim will come against him. Therefore he will be grieved, and will return, and have indignation against the holy covenant, and will take action. He will even return, and have regard to those who forsake the holy covenant.

“Suas forças se levantarão para desrespeitar a fortaleza e o templo, acabando com os sacrifícios diários, e estabelecerão um sacrilégio terrível.

Y serán puestos brazos de su parte; y contaminarán el santuario de fortaleza, y quitarán el continuo sacrificio, y pondrán la abominación espantosa.

And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate.

“Forces from him will profane the sanctuary, even the fortress, and will take away the continual burnt offering. Then they will set up the abomination that makes desolate.

Ele prometerá muitas vantagens aos que violaram a santa aliança, e assim eles passarão a colaborar com o rei do norte. Apesar disso, as pessoas que conhecem o seu Deus serão corajosas e resistirão com firmeza!

Y con lisonjas hará pecar á los violadores del pacto: mas el pueblo que conoce á su Dios, se esforzará, y hará.

And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.

He will corrupt those who do wickedly against the covenant by flatteries; but the people who know their God will be strong and take action.

“Aqueles que compreenderem as verdades espirituais ensinarão muita gente naqueles dias. Mas estarão sempre correndo grande perigo! Muitos morrerão queimados; outros morrerão pela espada; alguns serão presos, capturados e saqueados.

Y los sabios del pueblo darán sabiduría á muchos: y caerán á cuchillo y á fuego, en cautividad y despojo, por días.

And they that understand among the people shall instruct many: yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil, many days.

“Those who are wise among the people will instruct many; yet they will fall by the sword and by flame, by captivity and by plunder, many days.

De vez em quando eles receberão ajuda, mesmo que pequena. Mas alguns desses amigos serão falsos, fingindo ajudar, mas querendo na verdade tirar proveito para si mesmos.

Y en su caer serán ayudados de pequeño socorro: y muchos se juntarán á ellos con lisonjas.

Now when they shall fall, they shall be holpen with a little help: but many shall cleave to them with flatteries.

Now when they fall, they will be helped with a little help; but many will join themselves to them with flatteries.

Alguns desses homens que entendem melhor as coisas espirituais tropeçarão e cairão. Mas isso vai servir para deixá-los mais firmes, mais puros e limpos até chegar o fim de seus sofrimentos, no tempo determinado.

Y algunos de los sabios caerán para ser purgados, y limpiados, y emblanquecidos, hasta el tiempo determinado: porque aun para esto hay plazo.

And some of them of understanding shall fall, to try them, and to purge, and to make them white, even to the time of the end: because it is yet for a time appointed.

Some of those who are wise will fall—to refine them, and to purify, and to make them white, even to the time of the end, because it is yet for the time appointed.

“Esse rei fará o que bem entender, dizendo ser maior que todos os deuses, ofendendo terrivelmente o Deus dos deuses e aumentando o poder — até que chegue a sua hora. Isso porque os planos de Deus nunca podem ser mudados.

Y el rey hará á su voluntad; y se ensoberbecerá, y se engrandecerá sobre todo dios: y contra el Dios de los dioses hablará maravillas, y será prosperado, hasta que sea consumada la ira: porque hecha está determinación.

And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done.

“The king will do according to his will. He will exalt himself and magnify himself above every god, and will speak marvelous things against the God of gods. He will prosper until the indignation is accomplished, for that which is determined will be done.

Ele não terá o mínimo respeito pelos deuses de seus antepassados, nem pelo deus preferido das mulheres, nem dará importância a qualquer deus que apareça. Dirá que é maior que todos os deuses!

Y del Dios de sus padres no se cuidará, ni del amor de las mujeres: ni se cuidará de dios alguno, porque sobre todo se engrandecerá.

Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.

He won’t regard the gods of his fathers, or the desire of women, or regard any god; for he will magnify himself above all.

O único deus que ele adorará será o deus da guerra — um deus que seus pais nunca adoraram — a este ele oferecerá grandes riquezas!

Mas honrará en su lugar al dios Mauzim, dios que sus padres no conocieron: honrarálo con oro, y plata, y piedras preciosas, y con cosas de gran precio.

But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things.

But in their place, he will honor the god of fortresses. He will honor a god whom his fathers didn’t know with gold, silver, and with precious stones and pleasant things.

Dizendo que é protegido por esse deus, ele conseguirá grandes vitórias contra os seus inimigos. Aos que obedecerem às suas ordens ele dará posições importantes no seu reino e grandes áreas de terra, mas por um preço elevado!

Y con el dios ajeno que conocerá, hará á los baluartes de Mauzim crecer en gloria: y harálos enseñorear sobre muchos, y por interés repartirá la tierra.

Thus shall he do in the most strong holds with a strange god, whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory: and he shall cause them to rule over many, and shall divide the land for gain.

He will deal with the strongest fortresses by the help of a foreign god. He will increase with glory whoever acknowledges him. He will cause them to rule over many, and will divide the land for a price.

“Quando o fim da história estiver chegando, o rei do sul se envolverá no combate. Além disso, o rei do norte também lutará contra ele, com um grande exército e muitos navios, invadindo e destruindo muitos países como uma inundação.

Empero al cabo del tiempo el rey del mediodía se acorneará con él; y el rey del norte levantará contra él como tempestad, con carros y gente de á caballo, y muchos navíos; y entrará por las tierras, é inundará, y pasará.

And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over.

“At the time of the end the king of the south will contend with him; and the king of the north will come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, with horsemen, and with many ships. He will enter into the countries, and will overflow and pass through.

Também invadirá a terra magnífica. Somente Moabe, Edom e parte da terra de Amom escaparão a essa invasão.

Y vendrá á la tierra deseable, y muchas provincias caerán; mas éstas escaparán de su mano: Edom, y Moab, y lo primero de los hijos de Ammón.

He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon.

He will enter also into the glorious land, and many countries will be overthrown; but these will be delivered out of his hand: Edom, Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon.

O Egito e muitos outros países serão conquistados.

Asimismo extenderá su mano á las otras tierras, y no escapará el país de Egipto.

He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape.
