Y EN aquel tiempo se levantará Miguel, el gran príncipe que está por los hijos de tu pueblo; y será tiempo de angustia, cual nunca fué después que hubo gente hasta entonces: mas en aquel tiempo será libertado tu pueblo, todos los que se hallaren escritos en el libro.

And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

Uno de ellos preguntó al hombre vestido con ropa de lino que estaba parado sobre el río: “¿Cuánto durarán todos estos terrores?”.
Y dijo uno al varón vestido de lienzos, que estaba sobre las aguas del río: ¿Cuándo será el fin de estas maravillas?

»El hombre vestido de lino, que estaba sobre las aguas del río, con ambas manos levantadas hacia el cielo, dijo jurando con solemnidad en el nombre del Dios viviente: “Dentro de tres tiempos y medio, cuando deje de ser agredido el poder del pueblo de Dios, entonces terminarán todas estas cosas”.
Y oía al varón vestido de lienzos, que estaba sobre las aguas del río, el cual alzó su diestra y su siniestra al cielo, y juró por el Viviente en los siglos, que será por tiempo, tiempos, y la mitad. Y cuando se acabare el esparcimiento del escuadrón del pueblo santo, todas estas cosas serán cumplidas.

Y yo oí, mas no entendí. Y dije: Señor mío, ¿qué será el cumplimiento de estas cosas?
And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things?
I heard, but I didn’t understand. Then I said, “My lord, what will be the outcome of these things?”
Él me dijo: “Ve ahora, Daniel, pues lo que yo he dicho es para que se cumple hacia el final de la historia.
Y dijo: Anda, Daniel, que estas palabras están cerradas y selladas hasta el tiempo del cumplimiento.
And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.
He said, “Go your way, Daniel; for the words are shut up and sealed until the time of the end.
Muchos serán purificados mediante el paso por grandes pruebas y persecuciones. Pero los malos continuarán en su maldad y ninguno de ellos entrará en razón. Sólo aquellos que son sabios entenderán lo que todo esto significa.
Muchos serán limpios, y emblanquecidos, y purificados; mas los impíos obrarán impíamente, y ninguno de los impíos entenderá, pero entenderán los entendidos.
Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.
Many will purify themselves, and make themselves white, and be refined, but the wicked will do wickedly; and none of the wicked will understand, but those who are wise will understand.
Desde el momento en que el sacrificio ritual diario que se realiza en el templo sea quitado y en su lugar se ponga la humillante abominación pasarán mil doscientos noventa días.
Y desde el tiempo que fuere quitado el continuo sacrificio hasta la abominación espantosa, habrá mil doscientos y noventa días.
And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.

Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.

Pero sigue ahora tú viviendo hasta el final de tus días y luego descansa en paz, que al final de los tiempos serás levantado de tu tumba para recibir tu recompensa”».
Y tú irás al fin, y reposarás, y te levantarás en tu suerte al fin de los días.
But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days.
