Daniel 1

Im dritten Jahre der Regierung Jojakims, des Königs von Juda, kam Nebukadnezar, der König von Babel, nach Jerusalem und belagerte es.

EN el año tercero del reinado de Joacim rey de Judá, vino Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia á Jerusalem, y cercóla.

In the third year of the reign of Jehoiakim king of Judah came Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon unto Jerusalem, and besieged it.

Und der Herr gab Jojakim, den König von Juda, in seine Hand, und einen Teil der Geräte des Hauses Gottes; und er brachte sie in das Land Sinear, in das Haus seines Gottes: die Geräte brachte er in das Schatzhaus seines Gottes.

Y el Señor entregó en sus manos á Joacim rey de Judá, y parte de los vasos de la casa de Dios, y trájolos á tierra de Sinar, á la casa de su dios: y metió los vasos en la casa del tesoro de su dios.

And the Lord gave Jehoiakim king of Judah into his hand, with part of the vessels of the house of God: which he carried into the land of Shinar to the house of his god; and he brought the vessels into the treasure house of his god.

Und der König befahl dem Aschpenas, dem Obersten seiner Kämmerer, daß er von den Kindern Israel, sowohl von dem königlichen Samen als auch von den Vornehmen, Jünglinge brächte,

Y dijo el rey á Aspenaz, príncipe de sus eunucos, que trajese de los hijos de Israel, del linaje real de los príncipes,

And the king spake unto Ashpenaz the master of his eunuchs, that he should bring certain of the children of Israel, and of the king’s seed, and of the princes;

The king spoke to Ashpenaz, the master of his eunuchs, that he should bring in some of the children of Israel, even of the royal offspring and of the nobles:

an welchen keinerlei Fehl wäre, und schön von Ansehen und unterwiesen in aller Weisheit und kenntnisreich und mit Einsicht begabt, und welche tüchtig wären, im Palaste des Königs zu stehen; und daß man sie die Schriften und die Sprache der Chaldäer lehre.

Muchachos en quienes no hubiese tacha alguna, y de buen parecer, y enseñados en toda sabiduría, y sabios en ciencia, y de buen entendimiento, é idóneos para estar en el palacio del rey; y que les enseñase las letras y la lengua de los Caldeos.

Children in whom was no blemish, but well favoured, and skilful in all wisdom, and cunning in knowledge, and understanding science, and such as had ability in them to stand in the king’s palace, and whom they might teach the learning and the tongue of the Chaldeans.

Und der König verordnete ihnen ein Tagtägliches von der Tafelkost des Königs und von dem Weine, den er trank, und daß man sie drei Jahre lang erzöge; und am Ende derselben sollten sie vor dem König stehen.

Y señalóles el rey ración para cada día de la ración de la comida del rey, y del vino de su beber: que los criase tres años, para que al fin de ellos estuviesen delante del rey.

And the king appointed them a daily provision of the king’s meat, and of the wine which he drank: so nourishing them three years, that at the end thereof they might stand before the king.

Und es waren unter ihnen, von den Kindern Juda: Daniel, Hananja, Misael und Asarja.

Y fueron entre ellos, de los hijos de Judá, Daniel, Ananías, Misael y Azarías:

Now among these were of the children of Judah, Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah:

Und der Oberste der Kämmerer gab ihnen Namen; und er nannte Daniel Beltsazar, und Hananja Sadrach, und Misael Mesach, und Asarja Abednego.

A los cuales el príncipe de los eunucos puso nombres: y puso á Daniel, Beltsasar; y á Ananías, Sadrach; y á Misael, Mesach; y á Azarías, Abed-nego.

Unto whom the prince of the eunuchs gave names: for he gave unto Daniel the name of Belteshazzar; and to Hananiah, of Shadrach; and to Mishael, of Meshach; and to Azariah, of Abed-nego.

The prince of the eunuchs gave names to them: to Daniel he gave the name Belteshazzar; to Hananiah, Shadrach; to Mishael, Meshach; and to Azariah, Abednego.

Und Daniel nahm sich in seinem Herzen vor, sich nicht mit der Tafelkost des Königs und mit dem Weine, den er trank, zu verunreinigen; und er erbat sich von dem Obersten der Kämmerer, daß er sich nicht verunreinigen müsse.

Y Daniel propuso en su corazón de no contaminarse en la ración de la comida del rey, ni en el vino de su beber: pidió por tanto al príncipe de los eunucos de no contaminarse.

But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.

Und Gott gab Daniel Gnade und Barmherzigkeit vor dem Obersten der Kämmerer.

(Y puso Dios á Daniel en gracia y en buena voluntad con el príncipe de los eunucos.)

Now God had brought Daniel into favour and tender love with the prince of the eunuchs.

Now God made Daniel find kindness and compassion in the sight of the prince of the eunuchs.

Und der Oberste der Kämmerer sprach zu Daniel: Ich fürchte meinen Herrn, den König, der eure Speise und euer Getränk verordnet hat; denn warum sollte er sehen, daß eure Angesichter verfallener wären als die der Jünglinge eures Alters, so daß ihr meinen Kopf beim König verwirktet?

Y dijo el príncipe de los eunucos á Daniel: Tengo temor de mi señor el rey, que señaló vuestra comida y vuestra bebida; pues luego que él habrá visto vuestros rostros más tristes que los de los muchachos que son semejantes á vosotros, condenaréis para con el rey mi cabeza.

And the prince of the eunuchs said unto Daniel, I fear my lord the king, who hath appointed your meat and your drink: for why should he see your faces worse liking than the children which are of your sort? then shall ye make me endanger my head to the king.

The prince of the eunuchs said to Daniel, “I fear my lord the king, who has appointed your food and your drink. For why should he see your faces worse looking than the youths who are of your own age? Then you would endanger my head with the king.”

Und Daniel sprach zu dem Aufseher, welchen der Oberste der Kämmerer über Daniel, Hananja, Misael und Asarja bestellt hatte:

Entonces dijo Daniel á Melsar, que estaba puesto por el príncipe de los eunucos sobre Daniel, Ananías, Misael, y Azarías:

Then said Daniel to Melzar, whom the prince of the eunuchs had set over Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah,

Then Daniel said to the steward whom the prince of the eunuchs had appointed over Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah:

Versuche es doch mit deinen Knechten zehn Tage, und man gebe uns Gemüse zu essen und Wasser zu trinken;

Prueba, te ruego, tus siervos diez días, y dennos legumbres á comer, y agua á beber.

Prove thy servants, I beseech thee, ten days; and let them give us pulse to eat, and water to drink.

“Test your servants, I beg you, ten days; and let them give us vegetables to eat and water to drink.

und dann mögen unser Aussehen und das Aussehen der Jünglinge, welche die Tafelkost des Königs essen, von dir geprüft werden; und tue mit deinen Knechten nach dem, was du sehen wirst.

Parezcan luego delante de ti nuestros rostros, y los rostros de los muchachos que comen de la ración de la comida del rey; y según que vieres, harás con tus siervos.

Then let our countenances be looked upon before thee, and the countenance of the children that eat of the portion of the king’s meat: and as thou seest, deal with thy servants.

Then let our faces be examined before you, and the face of the youths who eat of the king’s delicacies; and as you see, deal with your servants.”

Und er hörte auf sie in dieser Sache und versuchte es zehn Tage mit ihnen.

Consintió pues con ellos en esto, y probó con ellos diez días.

So he consented to them in this matter, and proved them ten days.

So he listened to them in this matter, and tested them for ten days.

Und am Ende der zehn Tage zeigte sich ihr Aussehen besser und völliger an Fleisch als dasjenige aller Jünglinge, welche die Tafelkost des Königs aßen.

Y al cabo de los diez días pareció el rostro de ellos mejor y más nutrido de carne, que los otros muchachos que comían de la ración de la comida del rey.

And at the end of ten days their countenances appeared fairer and fatter in flesh than all the children which did eat the portion of the king’s meat.

At the end of ten days, their faces appeared fairer and they were fatter in flesh than all the youths who ate of the king’s delicacies.

Da tat der Aufseher ihre Tafelkost und den Wein, den sie trinken sollten, weg und gab ihnen Gemüse.

Así fué que Melsar tomaba la ración de la comida de ellos, y el vino de su beber, y dábales legumbres.

Thus Melzar took away the portion of their meat, and the wine that they should drink; and gave them pulse.

So the steward took away their delicacies and the wine that they were given to drink, and gave them vegetables.

Und diesen vier Jünglingen, ihnen gab Gott Kenntnis und Einsicht in aller Schrift und Weisheit; und Daniel hatte Verständnis für alle Gesichte und Träume.

Y á estos cuatro muchachos dióles Dios conocimiento é inteligencia en todas letras y ciencia: mas Daniel tuvo entendimiento en toda visión y sueños.

As for these four children, God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom: and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.

Und am Ende der Tage, nach welchen der König sie zu bringen befohlen hatte, brachte sie der Oberste der Kämmerer vor Nebukadnezar.

Pasados pues los días al fin de los cuales había dicho el rey que los trajesen, el príncipe de los eunucos los trajo delante de Nabucodonosor.

Now at the end of the days that the king had said he should bring them in, then the prince of the eunuchs brought them in before Nebuchadnezzar.

At the end of the days which the king had appointed for bringing them in, the prince of the eunuchs brought them in before Nebuchadnezzar.

Und der König redete mit ihnen; und unter ihnen allen wurde keiner gefunden wie Daniel, Hananja, Misael und Asarja; und sie standen vor dem König.

Y el rey habló con ellos, y no fué hallado entre todos ellos otro como Daniel, Ananías, Misael, y Azarías: y así estuvieron delante del rey.

And the king communed with them; and among them all was found none like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah: therefore stood they before the king.

The king talked with them; and among them all was found no one like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah. Therefore they stood before the king.

Und in allen Sachen einsichtsvoller Weisheit, welche der König von ihnen erfragte, fand er sie zehnmal allen Schriftgelehrten und Beschwörern überlegen, die in seinem ganzen Königreiche waren. -

Y en todo negocio de sabiduría é inteligencia que el rey les demandó, hallólos diez veces mejores que todos los magos y astrólogos que había en todo su reino.

And in all matters of wisdom and understanding, that the king enquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers that were in all his realm.

In every matter of wisdom and understanding concerning which the king inquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and enchanters who were in all his realm.

Und Daniel blieb bis zum ersten Jahre des Königs Kores.

Y fué Daniel hasta el año primero del rey Ciro.

And Daniel continued even unto the first year of king Cyrus.
