Entonces hablaron los Caldeos al rey en lengua aramea: Rey, para siempre vive: di el sueño á tus siervos, y mostraremos la declaración.
Then spake the Chaldeans to the king in Syriack, O king, live for ever: tell thy servants the dream, and we will shew the interpretation.

Il re rispose, e disse a' Caldei: La cosa mi è fuggita di mente; se voi non mi fate assapere il sogno, e la sua interpretazione, sarete squartati, e le vostre case saranno ridotte in latrine.
Respondió el rey y dijo á los Caldeos: El negocio se me fué: si no me mostráis el sueño y su declaración, seréis hechos cuartos, y vuestras casas serán puestas por muladares.
The king answered and said to the Chaldeans, The thing is gone from me: if ye will not make known unto me the dream, with the interpretation thereof, ye shall be cut in pieces, and your houses shall be made a dunghill.

Essi risposero per la seconda volta, e dissero: Il re dica il sogno a' suoi servitori, e noi ne dichiareremo l'interpretazione.

Che se vio non mi dichiarate il sogno, vi è una sola sentenza per voi. Or voi vi eravate preparati a dire in mia presenza alcuna cosa falsa, e perversa, finchè il tempo fosse mutato; perciò, ditemi il sogno, ed io conoscerò che voi me ne dichiarerete l'interpretazione.
Si no me mostráis el sueño, una sola sentencia será de vosotros. Ciertamente preparáis respuesta mentirosa y perversa que decir delante de mí, entre tanto que se muda el tiempo: por tanto, decidme el sueño, para que yo entienda que me podéis mostrar su declaración.

I Caldei risposero in presenza del re, e dissero: Non vi è uomo alcuno sopra la terra, che possa dichiarare al re ciò ch'egli richiede; perciò anche alcun re, nè grande, nè signore, non domandò mai cotal cosa ad alcun mago, astrologo, o Caldeo.
Los Caldeos respondieron delante del rey, y dijeron: No hay hombre sobre la tierra que pueda declarar el negocio del rey: demás de esto, ningún rey, príncipe, ni señor, preguntó cosa semejante á ningún mago, ni astrólogo, ni Caldeo.
The Chaldeans answered before the king, and said, There is not a man upon the earth that can shew the king’s matter: therefore there is no king, lord, nor ruler, that asked such things at any magician, or astrologer, or Chaldean.

E la cosa che il re richiede è tanto ardua, che non vi è alcun altro che la possa dichiarare al re, se non gl'iddii, la cui abitazione non è con la carne.

Perciò, il re si adirò, e si crucciò gravemente, e comandò che tutti i savi di Babilonia fosser fatti morire.

Allora Daniele stolse l'esecuzione del decreto, e della sentenza, commessa ad Arioc, capitano delle guardie del re, ch'era uscito per uccidere i savi di Babilonia.
Entonces Daniel habló avisada y prudentemente á Arioch, capitán de los de la guarda del rey, que había salido para matar los sabios de Babilonia.
Then Daniel answered with counsel and wisdom to Arioch the captain of the king’s guard, which was gone forth to slay the wise men of Babylon:

E fece motto ad Arioc, ufficiale del re, e gli disse: Qual è la cagione, che il re ha dato un decreto tanto affrettato? Allora Arioc fece assapere il fatto a Daniele.
Habló y dijo á Arioch capitán del rey: ¿Qué es la causa que este mandamiento se publica de parte del rey tan apresuradamente? Entonces Arioch declaró el negocio á Daniel.
He answered and said to Arioch the king’s captain, Why is the decree so hasty from the king? Then Arioch made the thing known to Daniel.

E Daniele entrò dal re, e lo richiese che gli desse tempo, e ch'egli dichiarerebbe l'interpretazione del sogno al re.

Para demandar misericordias del Dios del cielo sobre este misterio, y que Daniel y sus compañeros no pereciesen con los otros sabios de Babilonia.

Egli palesa le cose profonde ed occulte; egli conosce quel ch' è nelle tenebre, e la luce abita appo lui.

Per tanto, Daniele entrò da Arioc, al quale, il re avea data commissione di far morire i savi di Babilonia; e andò, e gli disse così: Non far morire i savi di Babilonia; menami davanti al re, ed io gli dichiarerò l'interpretazione del sogno.
Después de esto Daniel entró á Arioch, al cual el rey había puesto para matar á los sabios de Babilonia; fué, y díjole así: No mates á los sabios de Babilonia: llévame delante del rey, que yo mostraré al rey la declaración.
Therefore Daniel went in unto Arioch, whom the king had ordained to destroy the wise men of Babylon: he went and said thus unto him; Destroy not the wise men of Babylon: bring me in before the king, and I will shew unto the king the interpretation.

Allora Arioc menò prestamente Daniele davanti al re, e gli disse così: Io ho trovato un uomo, d'infra i Giudei, che sono in cattività, il quale dichiarerà al re l'interpretazione del suo sogno.

Then Arioch brought in Daniel before the king in haste, and said thus unto him, I have found a man of the captives of Judah, that will make known unto the king the interpretation.

Il re prese a dire a Daniele, il cui nome era Beltsasar: Mi puoi tu dichiarare il sogno, che io ho veduto, e la sua interpretazione?
Respondió el rey, y dijo á Daniel, al cual llamaban Beltsasar: ¿Podrás tú hacerme entender el sueño que vi, y su declaración?

Daniele rispose davanti al re, e disse: Il segreto, che il re domanda, nè savi, nè astrologi, nè magi, nè indovini, non possono dichiararlo al re.

Ma vi è un Dio in cielo, che rivela i segreti, ed ha fatto assapere al re Nebucadnesar quello che deve avvenire nella fine de' tempi. Il tuo sogno, e le visioni del tuo capo, in sul tuo letto, erano queste:
Mas hay un Dios en los cielos, el cual revela los misterios, y él ha hecho saber al rey Nabucodonosor lo que ha de acontecer á cabo de días. Tu sueño, y las visiones de tu cabeza sobre tu cama, es esto:
But there is a God in heaven that revealeth secrets, and maketh known to the king Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days. Thy dream, and the visions of thy head upon thy bed, are these;

O re, de' pensieri ti son saliti sopra il tuo letto, che cosa avverrebbe da questo tempo innanzi, e colui che rivela i segreti ti ha fatto assapere ciò che deve avvenire.
Tú, oh rey, en tu cama subieron tus pensamientos por saber lo que había de ser en lo por venir; y el que revela los misterios te mostró lo que ha de ser.
As for thee, O king, thy thoughts came into thy mind upon thy bed, what should come to pass hereafter: and he that revealeth secrets maketh known to thee what shall come to pass.
“As for you, O king, your thoughts came on your bed, what should happen hereafter; and he who reveals secrets has made known to you what will happen.
Ora, quant'è a me, questo segreto mi è stato rivelato, non per sapienza, che sia in me sopra tutti i viventi; ma acciocchè l'interpretazione ne sia dichiarata al re, e che tu intenda i pensieri del cuor tuo.
Y á mí ha sido revelado este misterio, no por sabiduría que en mí haya más que en todos los vivientes, sino para que yo notifique al rey la declaración, y que entendieses los pensamientos de tu corazón.
But as for me, this secret is not revealed to me for any wisdom that I have more than any living, but for their sakes that shall make known the interpretation to the king, and that thou mightest know the thoughts of thy heart.

E dovunque dimorano i figliuoli degli uomini, le bestie della campagna, e gli uccelli del cielo, egli te li ha dati in mano, e ti ha fatto signore sopra essi tutti. Tu sei quel capo d'oro.
Y todo lo que habitan hijos de hombres, bestias del campo, y aves del cielo, él ha entregado en tu mano, y te ha hecho enseñorear sobre todo ello: tú eres aquella cabeza de oro.
And wheresoever the children of men dwell, the beasts of the field and the fowls of the heaven hath he given into thine hand, and hath made thee ruler over them all. Thou art this head of gold.

E dopo te sorgerà un altro regno, più basso del tuo; e poi anche un terzo regno, ch'è quel del rame, il quale signoreggerà sopra tutta la terra.
Y después de ti se levantará otro reino menor que tú; y otro tercer reino de metal, el cual se enseñoreará de toda la tierra.
And after thee shall arise another kingdom inferior to thee, and another third kingdom of brass, which shall bear rule over all the earth.
“After you, another kingdom will arise that is inferior to you; and another third kingdom of bronze, which will rule over all the earth.
Poi vi sarà un quarto regno, duro come ferro; conciossiachè il ferro triti, e fiacchi ogni cosa: e come il ferro trita tutte quelle cose, quello triterà, e romperà tutto.

E quant'è a ciò che tu hai veduti i piedi, e le lor dita, in parte d'argilla di vasellaio, e in parte di ferro, ciò significa che il regno sarà diviso; ed anche che vi sarà in esso della durezza del ferro; conciossiachè tu abbi veduto il ferro mescolato con l'argilla di vasellaio.
Y lo que viste de los pies y los dedos, en parte de barro cocido de alfarero, y en parte de hierro, el reino será dividido; mas habrá en él algo de fortaleza de hierro, según que viste el hierro mezclado con el tiesto de barro.
And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters’ clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay.

E quant'è a ciò che le dita dei piedi erano in parte di ferro, e in parte d'argilla, ciò significa che il regno in parte sarà duro, in parte sarà frale.

And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken.

E quant'è a ciò che tu hai veduto il ferro mescolato con l'argilla di vasellaio, ciò significa che coloro si mescoleranno per seme umano, ma non potranno unirsi l'un con l'altro; siccome il ferro non può mescolarsi con l'argilla.
Cuanto á aquello que viste, el hierro mezclado con tiesto de barro, mezclaránse con simiente humana, mas no se pegarán el uno con el otro, como el hierro no se mistura con el tiesto.
And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.

E a' dì di questi re, l'Iddio del cielo farà sorgere un regno, il quale giammai in eterno non sarà distrutto; e quel regno non sarà lasciato ad un altro popolo; esso triterà, e consumerà tutti que' regni; ma esso durerà in eterno.
Y en los días de estos reyes, levantará el Dios del cielo un reino que nunca jamás se corromperá: y no será dejado á otro pueblo este reino; el cual desmenuzará y consumirá todos estos reinos, y él permanecerá para siempre.
And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.

Conciossiachè tu abbi veduto che dal monte è stata tagliata una pietra, senza opera di mani, la quale ha tritato il ferro, il rame, l'argilla, l'argento, e l'oro. Il grande Iddio ha fatto assapere al re ciò che avverrà da questo tempo innanzi; e il sogno è verace, e la sua interpretazione è fedele.
De la manera que viste que del monte fué cortada una piedra, no con manos, la cual desmenuzó al hierro, al metal, al tiesto, á la plata, y al oro; el gran Dios ha mostrado al rey lo que ha de acontecer en lo por venir: y el sueño es verdadero, y fiel su declaración.

Allora il re Nebucadnesar cadde sopra la sua faccia, e adorò Daniele; e comandò che gli si offerissero offerte e profumi.

El rey habló á Daniel, y dijo: Ciertamente que el Dios vuestro es Dios de dioses, y el Señor de los reyes, y el descubridor de los misterios, pues pudiste revelar este arcano.
The king answered unto Daniel, and said, Of a truth it is, that your God is a God of gods, and a Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, seeing thou couldest reveal this secret.

Allora il re aggrandì Daniele, e gli donò molti gran presenti, e lo costituì rettore sopra tutta la provincia di Babilonia, e capo de' magistrati, sopra tutti i savi di Babilonia.
Entonces el rey engrandeció á Daniel, y le dió muchos y grandes dones, y púsolo por gobernador de toda la provincia de Babilonia, y por príncipe de los gobernadores sobre todos los sabios de Babilonia.

Y Daniel solicitó del rey, y él puso sobre los negocios de la provincia de Babilonia á Sadrach, Mesach, y Abed-nego: y Daniel estaba á la puerta del rey.
Then Daniel requested of the king, and he set Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, over the affairs of the province of Babylon: but Daniel sat in the gate of the king.
