Porque si no la adorareis, en la misma hora seréis echados en medio de un horno de fuego ardiendo: ¿y qué dios será aquel que os libre de mis manos?
Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; well: but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands?
Now if you are ready whenever you hear the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp, pipe, and all kinds of music to fall down and worship the image which I have made, good; but if you don’t worship, you shall be cast the same hour into the middle of a burning fiery furnace. Who is that god who will deliver you out of my hands?”
Sadrach, Mesach und Abednego antworteten und sprachen zu dem König: Nebukadnezar, wir halten es nicht für nötig, dir ein Wort darauf zu erwidern.
Sadrach, Mesach, y Abed-nego respondieron y dijeron al rey Nabucodonosor: No cuidamos de responderte sobre este negocio.

Da wurde Nebukadnezar voll Grimmes, und das Aussehen seines Gesichtes veränderte sich gegen Sadrach, Mesach und Abednego. Er hob an und befahl, den Ofen siebenmal mehr zu heizen, als zur Heizung hinreichend war.
Entonces Nabucodonosor fué lleno de ira, y demudóse la figura de su rostro sobre Sadrach, Mesach, y Abed-nego: así habló, y ordenó que el horno se encendiese siete veces tanto de lo que cada vez solía.

And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king’s counsellors, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them.

Nebukadnezar hob an und sprach: Gepriesen sei der Gott Sadrachs, Mesachs und Abednegos, der seinen Engel gesandt und seine Knechte errettet hat, die auf ihn vertrauten und das Wort des Königs übertraten und ihre Leiber dahingaben, um keinem Gott zu dienen noch ihn anzubeten, als nur ihrem Gott!
Nabucodonosor habló y dijo: Bendito el Dios de ellos, de Sadrach, Mesach, y Abed-nego, que envió su ángel, y libró sus siervos que esperaron en él, y el mandamiento del rey mudaron, y entregaron sus cuerpos antes que sirviesen ni adorasen otro dios que su Dios.
Then Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king’s word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God.

Und von mir wird Befehl gegeben, dass jedes Volk, jede Völkerschaft und Sprache – wer Unrechtes spricht gegen den Gott Sadrachs, Mesachs und Abednegos, in Stücke zerhauen und dass sein Haus zu einer Kotstätte gemacht werde; weil es keinen anderen Gott gibt, der auf solche Weise zu erretten vermag.
