Der König Nebukadnezar ließ eine goldene Bildsäule von sechzig Ellen Höhe und sechs Ellen Breite anfertigen und sie in der Ebene Dura in der Provinz Babylon aufstellen.

EL rey Nabucodonosor hizo una estatua de oro, la altura de la cual era de sesenta codos, su anchura de seis codos: levantóla en el campo de Dura, en la provincia de Babilonia.

Nebuchadnezzar the king made an image of gold, whose height was threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof six cubits: he set it up in the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon.

Nebuchadnezzar the king made an image of gold, whose height was sixty cubits and its width six cubits. He set it up in the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon.

Hierauf sandte der König Nebukadnezar Boten aus, um die Satrapen, Statthalter und Befehlshaber, Oberrichter, Schatzmeister, Rechtsgelehrten, Ratsherren und alle anderen höheren Beamten der Provinz zu berufen, damit sie der Einweihung der Bildsäule beiwohnten, die der König Nebukadnezar hatte aufstellen lassen.

Y envió el rey Nabucodonosor á juntar los grandes, los asistentes y capitanes, oidores, receptores, los del consejo, presidentes, y á todos los gobernadores de las provincias, para que viniesen á la dedicación de la estatua que el rey Nabucodonosor había levantado.

Then Nebuchadnezzar the king sent to gather together the princes, the governors, and the captains, the judges, the treasurers, the counsellors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces, to come to the dedication of the image which Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up.

Da versammelten sich die Satrapen, Statthalter und Befehlshaber, Oberrichter, Schatzmeister, Rechtsgelehrten, Ratsherren und alle anderen höheren Beamten der Provinz zur Einweihung der Bildsäule, die der König Nebukadnezar hatte aufrichten lassen, und nahmen Aufstellung vor der Bildsäule, die Nebukadnezar hatte aufrichten lassen.

Fueron pues reunidos los grandes, los asistentes y capitanes, los oidores, receptores, los del consejo, los presidentes, y todos los gobernadores de las provincias, á la dedicación de la estatua que el rey Nabucodonosor había levantado: y estaban en pie delante de la estatua que había levantado el rey Nabucodonosor.

Then the princes, the governors, and captains, the judges, the treasurers, the counsellors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces, were gathered together unto the dedication of the image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up; and they stood before the image that Nebuchadnezzar had set up.

Dann machte der Herold mit lauter Stimme bekannt: »Ihr Völker, Stämme und Zungen! Euch wird hiermit befohlen:

Then an herald cried aloud, To you it is commanded, O people, nations, and languages,

Sobald ihr den Klang der Hörner, Flöten, Leiern, Harfen, Zithern, Sackpfeifen und aller anderen Arten von Musikinstrumenten vernehmt, sollt ihr euch niederwerfen und das goldene Bild anbeten, das der König Nebukadnezar hat aufstellen lassen!

En oyendo el son de la bocina, del pífano, del tamboril, del arpa, del salterio, de la zampoña, y de todo instrumento músico, os postraréis y adoraréis la estatua de oro que el rey Nabucodonosor ha levantado:

That at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king hath set up:

that whenever you hear the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp, pipe, and all kinds of music, you fall down and worship the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king has set up.

Wer sich aber nicht niederwirft und anbetet, soll auf der Stelle in den brennenden Feuerofen geworfen werden!«

Y cualquiera que no se postrare y adorare, en la misma hora será echado dentro de un horno de fuego ardiendo.

And whoso falleth not down and worshippeth shall the same hour be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.

Whoever doesn’t fall down and worship shall be cast into the middle of a burning fiery furnace the same hour.”

Infolgedessen warfen sich in dem Augenblick, als alle Völker den Schall der Hörner, Flöten, Leiern, Harfen, Zithern und aller anderen Arten von Musikinstrumenten vernahmen, alle die Völker, Stämme und Zungen nieder, um das goldene Bild anzubeten, das der König Nebukadnezar hatte aufstellen lassen.

Por lo cual, en oyendo todos los pueblos el son de la bocina, del pífano, del tamboril, del arpa, del salterio, de la zampoña, y de todo instrumento músico, todos los pueblos, naciones, y lenguas, se postraron, y adoraron la estatua de oro que el rey Nabucodonosor había levantado.

Therefore at that time, when all the people heard the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and all kinds of musick, all the people, the nations, and the languages, fell down and worshipped the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up.

Infolgedessen traten zu derselben Zeit chaldäische Männer auf und klagten die Juden an;

Por esto en el mismo tiempo algunos varones Caldeos se llegaron, y denunciaron de los Judíos,

sie machten folgende Anzeige beim König Nebukadnezar: »O König, mögest du ewig leben!

Hablando y diciendo al rey Nabucodonosor: Rey, para siempre vive.

They spake and said to the king Nebuchadnezzar, O king, live for ever.

They answered Nebuchadnezzar the king, “O king, live for ever!

Du hast, o König, den Befehl erlassen, daß jedermann, sobald er den Schall der Hörner, Flöten, Leiern, Harfen, Zithern, Sackpfeifen und aller anderen Arten von Musikinstrumenten vernehme, sich niederwerfen und das goldene Bild anbeten solle;

Tú, oh rey, pusiste ley que todo hombre en oyendo el son de la bocina, del pífano, del tamboril, del arpa, del salterio, de la zampoña, y de todo instrumento músico, se postrase y adorase la estatua de oro:

Thou, O king, hast made a decree, that every man that shall hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, shall fall down and worship the golden image:

You, O king, have made a decree that every man who hears the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp, pipe, and all kinds of music shall fall down and worship the golden image;

wer sich aber nicht niederwerfe und anbete, der solle in den brennenden Feuerofen geworfen werden.

Y el que no se postrase y adorase, fuese echado dentro de un horno de fuego ardiendo.

And whoso falleth not down and worshippeth, that he should be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.

and whoever doesn’t fall down and worship shall be cast into the middle of a burning fiery furnace.

Nun sind einige Juden da, die du mit der Verwaltung der Provinz Babylon betraut hast, nämlich Sadrach, Mesach und Abed-Nego; diese Männer haben sich um deinen Befehl, o König, nicht gekümmert: sie verehren deine Götter nicht und beten auch das goldene Bild nicht an, das du hast aufstellen lassen.«

Hay unos varones Judíos, los cuales pusiste tú sobre los negocios de la provincia de Babilonia; Sadrach, Mesach, y Abed-nego: estos varones, oh rey, no han hecho cuenta de ti; no adoran tus dioses, no adoran la estatua de oro que tú levantaste.

There are certain Jews whom thou hast set over the affairs of the province of Babylon, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego; these men, O king, have not regarded thee: they serve not thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.

There are certain Jews whom you have appointed over the affairs of the province of Babylon: Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. These men, O king, have not respected you. They don’t serve your gods, and don’t worship the golden image which you have set up.”

Da befahl Nebukadnezar in Zorn und Wut, Sadrach, Mesach und Abed-Nego herbeizuholen; und als diese Männer dem Könige vorgeführt waren,

Entonces Nabucodonosor dijo con ira y con enojo que trajesen á Sadrach, Mesach, y Abed-nego. Al punto fueron traídos estos varones delante del rey.

Then Nebuchadnezzar in his rage and fury commanded to bring Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego. Then they brought these men before the king.

richtete Nebukadnezar folgende Worte an sie: »Geschieht es absichtlich von euch, Sadrach, Mesach und Abed-Nego, daß ihr meine Götter nicht verehrt und das goldene Bild nicht anbetet, das ich habe aufstellen lassen?

Habló Nabucodonosor, y díjoles: ¿Es verdad Sadrach, Mesach, y Abed-nego, que vosotros no honráis á mi dios, ni adoráis la estatua de oro que he levantado?

Nebuchadnezzar spake and said unto them, Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, do not ye serve my gods, nor worship the golden image which I have set up?

Nebuchadnezzar answered them, “Is it true, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, that you don’t serve my gods and you don’t worship the golden image which I have set up?

Nun wohl, wenn ihr bereit seid, in dem Augenblick, wenn ihr den Schall der Hörner, Flöten, Leiern, Harfen, Zithern, Sackpfeifen und aller anderen Arten von Musikinstrumenten vernehmt, euch niederzuwerfen und das Bild anzubeten, das ich habe anfertigen lassen – dann gut! Wenn ihr es aber nicht anbetet, sollt ihr auf der Stelle in den brennenden Feuerofen geworfen werden; und wo gäbe es einen Gott, der euch aus meiner Gewalt erretten könnte?«

Ahora pues, ¿estáis prestos para que en oyendo el son de la bocina, del pífano, del tamboril, del arpa, del salterio, de la zampoña, y de todo instrumento músico, os postréis, y adoréis la estatua que he hecho? Porque si no la adorareis, en la misma hora seréis echados en medio de un horno de fuego ardiendo: ¿y qué dios será aquel que os libre de mis manos?

Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; well: but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands?

Now if you are ready whenever you hear the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp, pipe, and all kinds of music to fall down and worship the image which I have made, good; but if you don’t worship, you shall be cast the same hour into the middle of a burning fiery furnace. Who is that god who will deliver you out of my hands?”

Da gaben Sadrach, Mesach und Abed-Nego dem Könige folgende Antwort: »Nebukadnezar, wir haben nicht nötig, dir hierauf ein Wort zu erwidern!

Sadrach, Mesach, y Abed-nego respondieron y dijeron al rey Nabucodonosor: No cuidamos de responderte sobre este negocio.

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter.

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego answered the king, “Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter.

Wird dein Befehl ausgeführt, so vermag unser Gott, den wir verehren, uns aus dem brennenden Feuerofen zu erretten, und er wird uns aus deiner Gewalt, o König, erretten.

He aquí nuestro Dios á quien honramos, puede librarnos del horno de fuego ardiendo; y de tu mano, oh rey, nos librará.

If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.

If it happens, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace; and he will deliver us out of your hand, O king.

Wenn er es aber nicht tut, so sei dir, o König, kundgetan, daß wir deinen Gott doch nicht verehren und das goldene Bild, das du hast aufstellen lassen, nicht anbeten werden!«

Y si no, sepas, oh rey, que tu dios no adoraremos, ni tampoco honraremos la estatua que has levantado.

But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.

But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the golden image which you have set up.”

Da geriet Nebukadnezar in volle Wut, so daß das Aussehen seines Gesichts gegen Sadrach, Mesach und Abed-Nego sich ganz entstellte. Er gab sofort den Befehl, man solle den Ofen siebenmal stärker heizen, als es hinreichend war;

Entonces Nabucodonosor fué lleno de ira, y demudóse la figura de su rostro sobre Sadrach, Mesach, y Abed-nego: así habló, y ordenó que el horno se encendiese siete veces tanto de lo que cada vez solía.

Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego: therefore he spake, and commanded that they should heat the furnace one seven times more than it was wont to be heated.

Then Nebuchadnezzar was full of fury, and the form of his appearance was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. He spoke, and commanded that they should heat the furnace seven times more than it was usually heated.

ferner gebot er Männern, den stärksten Leuten in seinem Heer, Sadrach, Mesach und Abed-Nego zu fesseln und sie in den brennenden Feuerofen zu werfen.

Y mandó á hombres muy vigorosos que tenía en su ejército, que atasen á Sadrach, Mesach, y Abed-nego, para echarlos en el horno de fuego ardiendo.

And he commanded the most mighty men that were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace.

He commanded certain mighty men who were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace.

So wurden denn diese Männer in ihren Mänteln, Röcken, Hüten und sonstigen Kleidungsstücken gefesselt und in den brennenden Feuerofen geworfen.

Entonces estos varones fueron atados con sus mantos, y sus calzas, y sus turbantes, y sus vestidos, y fueron echados dentro del horno de fuego ardiendo.

Then these men were bound in their coats, their hosen, and their hats, and their other garments, and were cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.

Then these men were bound in their pants, their tunics, and their mantles, and their other clothes, and were cast into the middle of the burning fiery furnace.

Weil man nun infolge des strengen Befehls des Königs den Ofen außergewöhnlich stark geheizt hatte, wurden jene Männer, die Sadrach, Mesach und Abed-Nego (an die Ofenöffnung) hinaufgetragen hatten, von der Flammenglut getötet;

Y porque la palabra del rey daba priesa, y había procurado que se encendiese mucho, la llama del fuego mató á aquellos que habían alzado á Sadrach, Mesach, y Abed-nego.

Therefore because the king’s commandment was urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flame of the fire slew those men that took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego.

jene drei Männer aber, Sadrach, Mesach und Abed-Nego, fielen gefesselt mitten in den brennenden Feuerofen.

And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.

Da geriet der König Nebukadnezar in Staunen; er stand eilends auf und fragte seine Räte: »Haben wir nicht drei Männer gefesselt ins Feuer geworfen?« Sie antworteten dem König: »Gewiß, o König!«

Entonces el rey Nabucodonosor se espantó, y levantóse apriesa, y habló, y dijo á los de su consejo: ¿No echaron tres varones atados dentro del fuego? Ellos respondieron y dijeron al rey: Es verdad, oh rey.

Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonied, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king.

Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonished and rose up in haste. He spoke and said to his counselors, “Didn’t we cast three men bound into the middle of the fire?” They answered the king, “True, O king.”

Da entgegnete er: »Ich sehe aber vier Männer ungefesselt im Feuer umhergehen, ohne daß eine Verletzung an ihnen zu bemerken ist, und der vierte sieht wie ein Göttersohn aus.«

Respondió él y dijo: He aquí que yo veo cuatro varones sueltos, que se pasean en medio del fuego, y ningún daño hay en ellos: y el parecer del cuarto es semejante á hijo de los dioses.

He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.

He answered, “Look, I see four men loose, walking in the middle of the fire, and they are unharmed. The appearance of the fourth is like a son of the gods.”

Darauf trat Nebukadnezar an die Öffnung des brennenden Feuerofens und rief: »Sadrach, Mesach und Abed-Nego, ihr Diener des höchsten Gottes, kommt heraus und tretet her!« Da kamen Sadrach, Mesach und Abed-Nego aus dem Feuer heraus;

Entonces Nabucodonosor se acercó á la puerta del horno de fuego ardiendo, y habló y dijo: Sadrach, Mesach, y Abed-nego, siervos del alto Dios, salid y venid. Entonces Sadrach, Mesach, y Abed-nego, salieron de en medio del fuego.

Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, and spake, and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, ye servants of the most high God, come forth, and come hither. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, came forth of the midst of the fire.

Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace. He spoke and said, “Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, you servants of the Most High God, come out, and come here!” Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego came out of the middle of the fire.

und die Satrapen, Statthalter, Befehlshaber und Räte des Königs, die sich dort versammelt hatten, sahen jetzt, daß das Feuer jenen Männern an ihrem Leibe nichts hatte antun können: ihr Haupthaar war nicht versengt, und ihre Mäntel waren nicht beschädigt, und nicht einmal ein Brandgeruch war an sie gekommen.

Y juntáronse los grandes, los gobernadores, los capitanes, y los del consejo del rey, para mirar estos varones, como el fuego no se enseñoreó de sus cuerpos, ni cabello de sus cabezas fué quemado, ni sus ropas se mudaron, ni olor de fuego había pasado por ellos.

And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king’s counsellors, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them.

The local governors, the deputies, and the governors, and the king’s counselors, being gathered together, saw these men, that the fire had no power on their bodies. The hair of their head wasn’t singed. Their pants weren’t changed. The smell of fire wasn’t even on them.

Da rief Nebukadnezar aus: »Gepriesen sei der Gott Sadrachs, Mesachs und Abed-Negos, daß er seinen Engel gesandt und seine Knechte errettet hat, die im Vertrauen auf ihn das Gebot des Königs übertreten und ihr Leben preisgegeben hatten, um keinen andern Gott verehren und anbeten zu müssen als nur ihren Gott!

Nabucodonosor habló y dijo: Bendito el Dios de ellos, de Sadrach, Mesach, y Abed-nego, que envió su ángel, y libró sus siervos que esperaron en él, y el mandamiento del rey mudaron, y entregaron sus cuerpos antes que sirviesen ni adorasen otro dios que su Dios.

Then Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king’s word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God.

Nebuchadnezzar spoke and said, “Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who has sent his angel and delivered his servants who trusted in him, and have changed the king’s word, and have yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god except their own God.

So ergeht denn jetzt von mir der Befehl, daß unter allen Völkern, Volksstämmen und Zungen ein jeder, der gegen den Gott Sadrachs, Mesachs und Abed-Negos etwas Unehrerbietiges ausspricht, in Stücke gehauen und sein Haus in einen Schutthaufen verwandelt werden soll, weil es keinen andern Gott gibt, der auf solche Weise zu erretten vermag!«

Por mí pues se pone decreto, que todo pueblo, nación, ó lengua, que dijere blasfemia contra el Dios de Sadrach, Mesach, y Abed-nego, sea descuartizado, y su casa sea puesta por muladar; por cuanto no hay dios que pueda librar como éste.

Therefore I make a decree, That every people, nation, and language, which speak any thing amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill: because there is no other God that can deliver after this sort.

Therefore I make a decree that every people, nation, and language which speak anything evil against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill, because there is no other god who is able to deliver like this.”

Darauf setzte der König den Sadrach, Mesach und Abed-Nego in ihre hohen Stellungen in der Landschaft Babylon wieder ein.

Entonces el rey engrandeció á Sadrach, Mesach, y Abed-nego en la provincia de Babilonia.

Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, in the province of Babylon.

Erlaß des Königs Nebukadnezar an alle Völker, Völkerschaften und Zungen, die auf der ganzen Erde wohnen: »Heil möge euch reichlich zuteil werden!

Es hat mir beliebt, die Zeichen und Wunder, die der höchste Gott an mir getan hat, zu allgemeiner Kenntnis zu bringen.

Wie sind doch seine Zeichen so groß und wie gewaltig seine Wunder! Sein Reich ist ein ewiges Reich, und seine Herrschaft währt von Geschlecht zu Geschlecht!
