Daniel 3

O rei Nabucodonosor fez uma estátua dourada de vinte e sete metros de altura por dois metros e setenta centímetros de largura, e a colocou na planície de Dura, na província da Babilônia.

EL rey Nabucodonosor hizo una estatua de oro, la altura de la cual era de sesenta codos, su anchura de seis codos: levantóla en el campo de Dura, en la provincia de Babilonia.

Nebuchadnezzar the king made an image of gold, whose height was threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof six cubits: he set it up in the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon.

Nebuchadnezzar the king made an image of gold, whose height was sixty cubits and its width six cubits. He set it up in the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon.

Depois disso, mandou mensagens a todos os príncipes, governadores, capitães, tesoureiros, juízes, conselheiros e oficiais das províncias para que viessem à festa de dedicação da estátua feita pelo rei.

Y envió el rey Nabucodonosor á juntar los grandes, los asistentes y capitanes, oidores, receptores, los del consejo, presidentes, y á todos los gobernadores de las provincias, para que viniesen á la dedicación de la estatua que el rey Nabucodonosor había levantado.

Then Nebuchadnezzar the king sent to gather together the princes, the governors, and the captains, the judges, the treasurers, the counsellors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces, to come to the dedication of the image which Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up.

Quando todos os príncipes, governadores, capitães, tesoureiros, juízes, conselheiros e oficiais tinham chegado e se reunido diante da estátua,

Fueron pues reunidos los grandes, los asistentes y capitanes, los oidores, receptores, los del consejo, los presidentes, y todos los gobernadores de las provincias, á la dedicación de la estatua que el rey Nabucodonosor había levantado: y estaban en pie delante de la estatua que había levantado el rey Nabucodonosor.

Then the princes, the governors, and captains, the judges, the treasurers, the counsellors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces, were gathered together unto the dedication of the image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up; and they stood before the image that Nebuchadnezzar had set up.

Then the local governors, the deputies, and the governors, the judges, the treasurers, the counselors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces were gathered together to the dedication of the image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up; and they stood before the image that Nebuchadnezzar had set up.

o homem que anunciava as ordens do rei gritou: “Povos de toda a terra, homens de todas as línguas, ouçam a ordem do rei:

Y el pregonero pregonaba en alta voz: Mándase á vosotros, oh pueblos, naciones, y lenguas,

Then an herald cried aloud, To you it is commanded, O people, nations, and languages,

Then the herald cried aloud, “To you it is commanded, peoples, nations, and languages,

“Quando ouvirem o som das trombetas, das flautas, das cítaras, das liras, das harpas e dos outros instrumentos, todos devem se curvar até o chão e adorar a imagem de ouro que o rei Nabucodonosor construiu.

En oyendo el son de la bocina, del pífano, del tamboril, del arpa, del salterio, de la zampoña, y de todo instrumento músico, os postraréis y adoraréis la estatua de oro que el rey Nabucodonosor ha levantado:

That at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king hath set up:

that whenever you hear the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp, pipe, and all kinds of music, you fall down and worship the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king has set up.

Qualquer pessoa que não se prostrar em terra e não a adorar será imediatamente jogada na grande fornalha acesa”.

Y cualquiera que no se postrare y adorare, en la misma hora será echado dentro de un horno de fuego ardiendo.

And whoso falleth not down and worshippeth shall the same hour be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.

Whoever doesn’t fall down and worship shall be cast into the middle of a burning fiery furnace the same hour.”

Assim, quando os instrumentos começaram a tocar, todos aqueles homens, de todo povo, nação ou língua, se curvaram até o chão e adoraram a estátua de ouro do rei Nabucodonosor.

Por lo cual, en oyendo todos los pueblos el son de la bocina, del pífano, del tamboril, del arpa, del salterio, de la zampoña, y de todo instrumento músico, todos los pueblos, naciones, y lenguas, se postraron, y adoraron la estatua de oro que el rey Nabucodonosor había levantado.

Therefore at that time, when all the people heard the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and all kinds of musick, all the people, the nations, and the languages, fell down and worshipped the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up.

Mas alguns astrólogos foram até onde estava o rei e acusaram os judeus de não adorarem a estátua,

Por esto en el mismo tiempo algunos varones Caldeos se llegaron, y denunciaron de los Judíos,

Wherefore at that time certain Chaldeans came near, and accused the Jews.

dizendo ao rei Nabucodonosor: “Que o rei viva para sempre!

Hablando y diciendo al rey Nabucodonosor: Rey, para siempre vive.

They spake and said to the king Nebuchadnezzar, O king, live for ever.

They answered Nebuchadnezzar the king, “O king, live for ever!

O senhor baixou uma lei dizendo que todos devem se curvar e adorar a estátua de ouro quando os instrumentos começarem a tocar,

Tú, oh rey, pusiste ley que todo hombre en oyendo el son de la bocina, del pífano, del tamboril, del arpa, del salterio, de la zampoña, y de todo instrumento músico, se postrase y adorase la estatua de oro:

Thou, O king, hast made a decree, that every man that shall hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, shall fall down and worship the golden image:

You, O king, have made a decree that every man who hears the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp, pipe, and all kinds of music shall fall down and worship the golden image;

e que qualquer pessoa que se recusar será jogada na grande fornalha acesa.

Y el que no se postrase y adorase, fuese echado dentro de un horno de fuego ardiendo.

And whoso falleth not down and worshippeth, that he should be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.

and whoever doesn’t fall down and worship shall be cast into the middle of a burning fiery furnace.

Há alguns judeus — Sadraque, Mesaque e Abede-Nego, aos quais o rei entregou os negócios da província da Babilônia — que desobedeceram às suas ordens e se recusaram a servir aos deuses do rei e a adorar a estátua de ouro que o senhor levantou”.

Hay unos varones Judíos, los cuales pusiste tú sobre los negocios de la provincia de Babilonia; Sadrach, Mesach, y Abed-nego: estos varones, oh rey, no han hecho cuenta de ti; no adoran tus dioses, no adoran la estatua de oro que tú levantaste.

There are certain Jews whom thou hast set over the affairs of the province of Babylon, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego; these men, O king, have not regarded thee: they serve not thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.

There are certain Jews whom you have appointed over the affairs of the province of Babylon: Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. These men, O king, have not respected you. They don’t serve your gods, and don’t worship the golden image which you have set up.”

Então, Nabucodonosor ficou furioso e mandou seus servos trazerem Sadraque, Mesaque e Abede-Nego perante ele.

Entonces Nabucodonosor dijo con ira y con enojo que trajesen á Sadrach, Mesach, y Abed-nego. Al punto fueron traídos estos varones delante del rey.

Then Nebuchadnezzar in his rage and fury commanded to bring Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego. Then they brought these men before the king.

Then Nebuchadnezzar in rage and fury commanded that Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego be brought. Then these men were brought before the king.

“É verdade, Sadraque, Mesaque e Abede-Nego”, perguntou o rei Nabucodonosor, “que vocês se recusam a servir a meus deuses e a adorar a estátua de ouro que eu mandei construir?

Habló Nabucodonosor, y díjoles: ¿Es verdad Sadrach, Mesach, y Abed-nego, que vosotros no honráis á mi dios, ni adoráis la estatua de oro que he levantado?

Nebuchadnezzar spake and said unto them, Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, do not ye serve my gods, nor worship the golden image which I have set up?

Nebuchadnezzar answered them, “Is it true, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, that you don’t serve my gods and you don’t worship the golden image which I have set up?

Vou dar mais uma oportunidade a vocês. Quando a música da trombeta, da flauta, da cítara, do saltério, da flauta dupla e de todo tipo de instrumento for tocada, se vocês se curvarem e adorarem a estátua, nada lhes acontecerá. Mas se vocês não fizerem isso, serão jogados imediatamente na grande fornalha acesa. E qual é o deus que vai poder livrar vocês de minhas mãos?”

Ahora pues, ¿estáis prestos para que en oyendo el son de la bocina, del pífano, del tamboril, del arpa, del salterio, de la zampoña, y de todo instrumento músico, os postréis, y adoréis la estatua que he hecho? Porque si no la adorareis, en la misma hora seréis echados en medio de un horno de fuego ardiendo: ¿y qué dios será aquel que os libre de mis manos?

Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; well: but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands?

Now if you are ready whenever you hear the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp, pipe, and all kinds of music to fall down and worship the image which I have made, good; but if you don’t worship, you shall be cast the same hour into the middle of a burning fiery furnace. Who is that god who will deliver you out of my hands?”

Sadraque, Mesaque e Abede-Nego responderam ao rei: “Ó rei Nabucodonosor, nós não precisamos defender-nos diante do senhor.

Sadrach, Mesach, y Abed-nego respondieron y dijeron al rey Nabucodonosor: No cuidamos de responderte sobre este negocio.

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter.

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego answered the king, “Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter.

Se o nosso Deus, a quem nós servimos, quiser nos livrar, ele nos livrará da grande fornalha e também das suas mãos, ó rei.

He aquí nuestro Dios á quien honramos, puede librarnos del horno de fuego ardiendo; y de tu mano, oh rey, nos librará.

If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.

If it happens, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace; and he will deliver us out of your hand, O king.

Mas, se ele não nos livrar, saiba, ó rei, nós nunca serviremos aos seus deuses nem adoraremos a estátua de ouro que o senhor levantou”.

Y si no, sepas, oh rey, que tu dios no adoraremos, ni tampoco honraremos la estatua que has levantado.

But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.

But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the golden image which you have set up.”

Nabucodonosor ficou tão furioso com Sadraque, Mesaque e Abede-Nego que o seu rosto mudou. Ele ordenou aos seus servos que a fornalha fosse aquecida sete vezes mais que de costume!

Entonces Nabucodonosor fué lleno de ira, y demudóse la figura de su rostro sobre Sadrach, Mesach, y Abed-nego: así habló, y ordenó que el horno se encendiese siete veces tanto de lo que cada vez solía.

Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego: therefore he spake, and commanded that they should heat the furnace one seven times more than it was wont to be heated.

Then Nebuchadnezzar was full of fury, and the form of his appearance was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. He spoke, and commanded that they should heat the furnace seven times more than it was usually heated.

Chamou os homens mais fortes de seu exército e mandou amarrar Sadraque, Mesaque e Abede-Nego e jogá-los na grande fornalha em chamas.

Y mandó á hombres muy vigorosos que tenía en su ejército, que atasen á Sadrach, Mesach, y Abed-nego, para echarlos en el horno de fuego ardiendo.

And he commanded the most mighty men that were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace.

He commanded certain mighty men who were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace.

Assim, os três foram vestidos com seus mantos, capas, turbantes e as outras roupas, foram bem amarrados com cordas e jogados dentro da grande fornalha.

Entonces estos varones fueron atados con sus mantos, y sus calzas, y sus turbantes, y sus vestidos, y fueron echados dentro del horno de fuego ardiendo.

Then these men were bound in their coats, their hosen, and their hats, and their other garments, and were cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.

Then these men were bound in their pants, their tunics, and their mantles, and their other clothes, and were cast into the middle of the burning fiery furnace.

O fogo, por causa da ordem do rei, estava tão forte que matou os soldados que jogaram os três judeus na fornalha!

Y porque la palabra del rey daba priesa, y había procurado que se encendiese mucho, la llama del fuego mató á aquellos que habían alzado á Sadrach, Mesach, y Abed-nego.

Therefore because the king’s commandment was urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flame of the fire slew those men that took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego.

Therefore because the king’s commandment was urgent and the furnace exceedingly hot, the flame of the fire killed those men who took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.

Sadraque, Mesaque e Abede-Nego caíram amarrados dentro das chamas terríveis da fornalha.

Y estos tres varones, Sadrach, Mesach, y Abed-nego, cayeron atados dentro del horno de fuego ardiendo.

And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.

Então, o rei Nabucodonosor, que assistia a tudo, se levantou espantado e perguntou aos seus conselheiros: “Nós não jogamos três homens no fogo?” “Sim, ó rei”, responderam eles.

Entonces el rey Nabucodonosor se espantó, y levantóse apriesa, y habló, y dijo á los de su consejo: ¿No echaron tres varones atados dentro del fuego? Ellos respondieron y dijeron al rey: Es verdad, oh rey.

Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonied, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king.

Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonished and rose up in haste. He spoke and said to his counselors, “Didn’t we cast three men bound into the middle of the fire?” They answered the king, “True, O king.”

“Mas olhem!”, gritou o rei Nabucodonosor. “Eu estou vendo quatro homens, desamarrados, andando pelo fogo. Eles nem se queimaram com as chamas! Além disso, o quarto homem parece ser um filho dos deuses!”

Respondió él y dijo: He aquí que yo veo cuatro varones sueltos, que se pasean en medio del fuego, y ningún daño hay en ellos: y el parecer del cuarto es semejante á hijo de los dioses.

He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.

He answered, “Look, I see four men loose, walking in the middle of the fire, and they are unharmed. The appearance of the fourth is like a son of the gods.”

Nabucodonosor se aproximou o máximo possível da grande fornalha e gritou: “Servos do Deus Altíssimo, saiam da fornalha! Venham até aqui!” Então Sadraque, Mesaque e Abede-Nego saíram do meio do fogo.

Entonces Nabucodonosor se acercó á la puerta del horno de fuego ardiendo, y habló y dijo: Sadrach, Mesach, y Abed-nego, siervos del alto Dios, salid y venid. Entonces Sadrach, Mesach, y Abed-nego, salieron de en medio del fuego.

Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, and spake, and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, ye servants of the most high God, come forth, and come hither. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, came forth of the midst of the fire.

Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace. He spoke and said, “Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, you servants of the Most High God, come out, and come here!” Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego came out of the middle of the fire.

Todos os príncipes, governadores, oficiais e conselheiros se ajuntaram à volta de Sadraque, Mesaque e Abede-Nego e viram que o fogo não tinha sequer tocado neles — nem um fio de cabelo havia sido queimado! As suas roupas não estavam queimadas! Nem cheiro de fumaça havia neles!

Y juntáronse los grandes, los gobernadores, los capitanes, y los del consejo del rey, para mirar estos varones, como el fuego no se enseñoreó de sus cuerpos, ni cabello de sus cabezas fué quemado, ni sus ropas se mudaron, ni olor de fuego había pasado por ellos.

And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king’s counsellors, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them.

The local governors, the deputies, and the governors, and the king’s counselors, being gathered together, saw these men, that the fire had no power on their bodies. The hair of their head wasn’t singed. Their pants weren’t changed. The smell of fire wasn’t even on them.

Então Nabucodonosor disse: “Bendito seja o Deus de Sadraque, Mesaque e Abede-Nego, porque ele mandou o seu anjo para salvar seus servos fiéis, que não quiseram obedecer às ordens do rei e preferiram morrer a adorar outro deus que não fosse o seu próprio Deus!

Nabucodonosor habló y dijo: Bendito el Dios de ellos, de Sadrach, Mesach, y Abed-nego, que envió su ángel, y libró sus siervos que esperaron en él, y el mandamiento del rey mudaron, y entregaron sus cuerpos antes que sirviesen ni adorasen otro dios que su Dios.

Then Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king’s word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God.

Nebuchadnezzar spoke and said, “Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who has sent his angel and delivered his servants who trusted in him, and have changed the king’s word, and have yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god except their own God.

Por causa disso, agora baixo este decreto: Se qualquer pessoa, de qualquer povo, nação ou língua, falar uma palavra contra o Deus de Sadraque, Mesaque e Abede-Nego, será cortada em pedaços, e a sua casa, completamente destruída. Porque nenhum outro Deus é capaz de livrar alguém como esse”.

Por mí pues se pone decreto, que todo pueblo, nación, ó lengua, que dijere blasfemia contra el Dios de Sadrach, Mesach, y Abed-nego, sea descuartizado, y su casa sea puesta por muladar; por cuanto no hay dios que pueda librar como éste.

Therefore I make a decree, That every people, nation, and language, which speak any thing amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill: because there is no other God that can deliver after this sort.

Therefore I make a decree that every people, nation, and language which speak anything evil against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill, because there is no other god who is able to deliver like this.”

Depois disso, o rei promoveu Sadraque, Mesaque e Abede-Nego. Eles se tornaram homens importantes na província da Babilônia.

Entonces el rey engrandeció á Sadrach, Mesach, y Abed-nego en la provincia de Babilonia.

Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, in the province of Babylon.
