Muy pronto, Daniel se destacó por encima de los otros administradores y de los sátrapas, porque había en él un espíritu extraordinario; tanto así, que el rey pensó en ponerlo a cargo de todo el reino.

Pero el mismo Daniel era superior á estos gobernadores y presidentes, porque había en él más abundancia de espíritu: y el rey pensaba de ponerlo sobre todo el reino.

Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.
