Pronto Daniel se destacó entre los otros superintendentes y gobernadores debido a sus grandes cualidades, y el rey pensó en colocarlo a él al frente de todos los asuntos del gobierno.

Pero el mismo Daniel era superior á estos gobernadores y presidentes, porque había en él más abundancia de espíritu: y el rey pensaba de ponerlo sobre todo el reino.
