Daniel 6

Darío estaba complacido de poner sobre el reino a ciento veinte capitanes, que iban a estar por todo el reino;

PARECIÓ bien á Darío constituir sobre el reino ciento veinte gobernadores, que estuviesen en todo el reino.

It pleased Darius to set over the kingdom an hundred and twenty princes, which should be over the whole kingdom;

Y sobre ellos había tres gobernantes principales, de los cuales Daniel era uno; y los capitanes debían ser responsables ante los principales gobernantes, para que el rey no sufriera ninguna pérdida.

Y sobre ellos tres presidentes, de los cuales Daniel era el uno, á quienes estos gobernadores diesen cuenta, porque el rey no recibiese daño.

And over these three presidents; of whom Daniel was first: that the princes might give accounts unto them, and the king should have no damage.

Entonces este Daniel hizo su trabajo mejor que los jefes principales y los capitanes, porque había un espíritu extraordinario en él; y era el propósito del rey ponerlo sobre todo el reino.

Pero el mismo Daniel era superior á estos gobernadores y presidentes, porque había en él más abundancia de espíritu: y el rey pensaba de ponerlo sobre todo el reino.

Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.

Entonces los principales gobernantes y los capitanes estaban buscando alguna causa para poner a Daniel en el mal en relación con el reino, pero no pudieron presentar ninguna mala acción o error en su contra; porque era fiel, y no se veía ningún error o falta en él.

Entonces los presidentes y gobernadores buscaban ocasiones contra Daniel por parte del reino; mas no podían hallar alguna ocasión ó falta, porque él era fiel, y ningún vicio ni falta fué en él hallado.

Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find none occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him.

Then the presidents and the local governors sought to find occasion against Daniel as touching the kingdom; but they could find no occasion or fault, because he was faithful. There wasn’t any error or fault found in him.

Entonces estos hombres dijeron: Solo tendremos una razón para atacar a Daniel en relación con la ley de su Dios.

Entonces dijeron aquellos hombres: No hallaremos contra este Daniel ocasión alguna, si no la hallamos contra él en la ley de su Dios.

Then said these men, We shall not find any occasion against this Daniel, except we find it against him concerning the law of his God.

Then these men said, “We won’t find any occasion against this Daniel, unless we find it against him concerning the law of his God.”

Entonces estos jefes principales y los capitanes vinieron al rey y le dijeron: ¡Oh, rey Darío! Ten vida para siempre.

Entonces estos gobernadores y presidentes se juntaron delante del rey, y le dijeron así: Rey Darío, para siempre vive:

Then these presidents and princes assembled together to the king, and said thus unto him, King Darius, live for ever.

Todos los principales gobernantes del reino, los jefes y los capitanes, los sabios y los gobernantes, han tomado la decisión común de poner en vigencia una ley que tenga la autoridad del rey, y de dar una orden firme, quienquiera que haga cualquier pedido a cualquier dios u hombre, pero solo a ti, oh rey, durante treinta días, él que no obedezca debe ser metido en el hoyo de los leones.

Todos los presidentes del reino, magistrados, gobernadores, grandes, y capitanes, han acordado por consejo promulgar un real edicto, y confirmarlo, que cualquiera que demandare petición de cualquier dios ú hombre en el espacio de treinta días, sino de ti, oh rey, sea echado en el foso de los leones.

All the presidents of the kingdom, the governors, and the princes, the counsellors, and the captains, have consulted together to establish a royal statute, and to make a firm decree, that whosoever shall ask a petition of any God or man for thirty days, save of thee, O king, he shall be cast into the den of lions.

Ahora, oh Rey, pon en vigencia la orden, firmando la escritura para que no pueda ser cambiada, como la ley de los medos y los persas para que no pueda ser cambiada.

Por esta razón, el rey Darío puso su nombre en la escritura y la orden.

Firmó pues el rey Darío la escritura y el edicto.

Y Daniel, al enterarse de que la escritura había sido firmada, entró en su casa; ahora tenía ventanas en su habitación en el techo que se abría en dirección a Jerusalén; y tres veces al día se arrodilló en oración y alabanza ante su Dios, como lo había hecho antes.

Y Daniel, cuando supo que la escritura estaba firmada, entróse en su casa, y abiertas las ventanas de su cámara que estaban hacia Jerusalem, hincábase de rodillas tres veces al día, y oraba, y confesaba delante de su Dios, como lo solía hacer antes.

Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.

Entonces estos hombres estaban mirando y vieron a Daniel haciendo oraciones y pidiendo gracia ante su Dios.

Entonces se juntaron aquellos hombres, y hallaron á Daniel orando y rogando delante de su Dios.

Then these men assembled, and found Daniel praying and making supplication before his God.

Luego se acercaron al rey y le dijeron: ¡Oh, rey! ¿No has puesto tu nombre en una orden que cualquier hombre que haga una petición a cualquier dios u hombre, si no es a ti, oh rey, durante treinta días, debe ser puesto en el hoyo de los leones? El rey respondió y dijo: La ley de los medos y los persas arregla el asunto, lo cual no puede ser cambiada.

Llegáronse luego, y hablaron delante del rey acerca del edicto real: ¿No has confirmado edicto que cualquiera que pidiere á cualquier dios ú hombre en el espacio de treinta días, excepto á ti, oh rey, fuese echado en el foso de los leones? Respondió el rey y dijo: Verdad es, conforme á la ley de Media y de Persia, la cual no se abroga.

Then they came near, and spake before the king concerning the king’s decree; Hast thou not signed a decree, that every man that shall ask a petition of any God or man within thirty days, save of thee, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions? The king answered and said, The thing is true, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not.

Then they came near, and spoke before the king concerning the king’s decree: “Haven’t you signed a decree that every man who makes a petition to any god or man within thirty days, except to you, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions?” The king answered, “This thing is true, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which doesn’t alter.”

Entonces respondieron y dijeron al rey, Daniel, uno de los prisioneros de Judá, no te respeta, oh Rey, ni a la orden firmada por ti, pero tres veces al día hace su oración a Dios.

Entonces respondieron y dijeron delante del rey: Daniel que es de los hijos de la cautividad de los Judíos, no ha hecho cuenta de ti, oh rey, ni del edicto que confirmaste; antes tres veces al día hace su petición.

Then answered they and said before the king, That Daniel, which is of the children of the captivity of Judah, regardeth not thee, O king, nor the decree that thou hast signed, but maketh his petition three times a day.

Then they answered and said before the king, “That Daniel, who is of the children of the captivity of Judah, doesn’t respect you, O king, nor the decree that you have signed, but makes his petition three times a day.”

Cuando esto llegó a oídos del rey, le pesó mucho, y su corazón estaba decidido a mantener a Daniel a salvo, y hasta la puesta del sol estaba haciendo todo lo que estaba en su poder para liberarlo.

El rey entonces, oyendo el negocio, pesóle en gran manera, y sobre Daniel puso cuidado para librarlo; y hasta puestas del sol trabajó para librarle.

Then the king, when he heard these words, was sore displeased with himself, and set his heart on Daniel to deliver him: and he laboured till the going down of the sun to deliver him.

Entonces estos hombres dijeron al rey: Asegúrate, oh Rey, de que por la ley de los medos y los persas no se pueda cambiar ningún orden o ley que el rey haya puesto en vigor.

Empero aquellos hombres se reunieron cerca del rey, y dijeron al rey: Sepas, oh rey, que es ley de Media y de Persia, que ningún decreto ú ordenanza que el rey confirmare pueda mudarse.

Then these men assembled unto the king, and said unto the king, Know, O king, that the law of the Medes and Persians is, That no decree nor statute which the king establisheth may be changed.

Then these men assembled together to the king, and said to the king, “Know, O king, that it is a law of the Medes and Persians, that no decree nor statute which the king establishes may be changed.”

Entonces el rey dio la orden, y tomaron a Daniel y lo metieron en el hoyo de los leones. El rey respondió y le dijo a Daniel: Tu Dios, cuyo siervo eres en todo momento, te mantendrá a salvo.

Entonces el rey mandó, y trajeron á Daniel, y echáronle en el foso de los leones. Y hablando el rey dijo á Daniel: El Dios tuyo, á quien tú continuamente sirves, él te libre.

Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast him into the den of lions. Now the king spake and said unto Daniel, Thy God whom thou servest continually, he will deliver thee.

Luego tomaron una piedra y la pusieron sobre la boca del hoyo, y fue estampada con el sello del rey y con el sello de los señores, para que la decisión sobre Daniel no se cambiara.

Y fué traída una piedra, y puesta sobre la puerta del foso, la cual selló el rey con su anillo, y con el anillo de sus príncipes, porque el acuerdo acerca de Daniel no se mudase.

And a stone was brought, and laid upon the mouth of the den; and the king sealed it with his own signet, and with the signet of his lords; that the purpose might not be changed concerning Daniel.

Entonces el rey fue a su gran casa, y no tomó comida esa noche, y tampoco trajeron instrumentos musicales delante de él, y su sueño se le fue.

Fuése luego el rey á su palacio, y acostóse ayuno; ni instrumentos de música fueron traídos delante de él, y se le fué el sueño.

Then the king went to his palace, and passed the night fasting: neither were instruments of musick brought before him: and his sleep went from him.

Muy temprano en la mañana, el rey se levantó y fue rápidamente al hoyo de los leones.

Y llegándose cerca del foso llamó á voces á Daniel con voz triste: y hablando el rey dijo á Daniel: Daniel, siervo del Dios viviente, el Dios tuyo, á quien tú continuamente sirves ¿te ha podido librar de los leones?

And when he came to the den, he cried with a lamentable voice unto Daniel: and the king spake and said to Daniel, O Daniel, servant of the living God, is thy God, whom thou servest continually, able to deliver thee from the lions?

When he came near to the den to Daniel, he cried with a troubled voice. The king spoke and said to Daniel, “Daniel, servant of the living God, is your God, whom you serve continually, able to deliver you from the lions?”

Entonces Daniel dijo al rey: Rey, ten vida para siempre.

Entonces habló Daniel con el rey: oh rey, para siempre vive.

Then said Daniel unto the king, O king, live for ever.

Then Daniel said to the king, “O king, live forever!

Mi Dios ha enviado a su ángel para mantener la boca cerrada de los leones, y no me han hecho daño; porque se me vio sin pecado delante de él; y además, ante ti, oh rey, no he hecho nada malo.

El Dios mío envió su ángel, el cual cerró la boca de los leones, para que no me hiciesen mal: porque delante de él se halló en mí justicia: y aun delante de ti, oh rey, yo no he hecho lo que no debiese.

My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions’ mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt.

Entonces el rey se alegró mucho y les ordenó sacar a Daniel del hoyo. Entonces sacaron a Daniel del hoyo y lo vieron intacto, porque tenía fe en su Dios.

Entonces se alegró el rey en gran manera á causa de él, y mandó sacar á Daniel del foso: y fué Daniel sacado del foso, y ninguna lesión se halló en él, porque creyó en su Dios.

Then was the king exceeding glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he believed in his God.

Y por orden del rey, tomaron a aquellos hombres que habían dicho mal contra Daniel, y los metieron en el hoyo de los leones, con sus esposas y sus hijos; y no habían llegado al piso del hoyo antes de que los leones los mataran, los atacó y les rompieron todos los huesos.

Y mandándolo el rey fueron traídos aquellos hombres que habían acusado á Daniel, y fueron echados en el foso de los leones, ellos, sus hijos, y sus mujeres; y aun no habían llegado al suelo del foso, cuando los leones se apoderaron de ellos, y quebrantaron todos sus huesos.

And the king commanded, and they brought those men which had accused Daniel, and they cast them into the den of lions, them, their children, and their wives; and the lions had the mastery of them, and brake all their bones in pieces or ever they came at the bottom of the den.

Entonces el rey Darío envió una carta a todos los pueblos, naciones e idiomas que vivían en toda la tierra: Que se incremente la paz.

Es mi orden que en todo el reino del cual soy gobernante, los hombres se estremecerán de miedo ante el Dios de Daniel: porque él es el Dios vivo, inmutable para siempre, y su reino es uno que nunca llegue a la destrucción, su gobierno continuará hasta el final.

De parte mía es puesta ordenanza, que en todo el señorío de mi reino todos teman y tiemblen de la presencia del Dios de Daniel: porque él es el Dios viviente y permanente por todos los siglos, y su reino tal que no será deshecho, y su señorío hasta el fin.

I make a decree, That in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel: for he is the living God, and stedfast for ever, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed, and his dominion shall be even unto the end.

Él da salvación y libera a los hombres del peligro, y hace señales y maravillas en el cielo y la tierra, que ha mantenido a Daniel a salvo del poder de los leones.

Que salva y libra, y hace señales y maravillas en el cielo y en la tierra; el cual libró á Daniel del poder de los leones.

He delivereth and rescueth, and he worketh signs and wonders in heaven and in earth, who hath delivered Daniel from the power of the lions.

Así que a este Daniel le fue bien en el reino de Darío y en el reino de Ciro, el persa.

Y este Daniel fué prosperado durante el reinado de Darío, y durante el reinado de Ciro, Persa.

So this Daniel prospered in the reign of Darius, and in the reign of Cyrus the Persian.
