Daniel 6

A Darío le pareció bien establecer 120 sátrapas, para gobernar en todo el reino,

PARECIÓ bien á Darío constituir sobre el reino ciento veinte gobernadores, que estuviesen en todo el reino.

It pleased Darius to set over the kingdom an hundred and twenty princes, which should be over the whole kingdom;

It pleased Darius to set over the kingdom one hundred twenty local governors, who should be throughout the whole kingdom;

y al frente de ellos tres gobernadores (uno de ellos era Daniel), a quienes estos sátrapas dieran cuenta para que el rey no sufriera pérdida.

Y sobre ellos tres presidentes, de los cuales Daniel era el uno, á quienes estos gobernadores diesen cuenta, porque el rey no recibiese daño.

And over these three presidents; of whom Daniel was first: that the princes might give accounts unto them, and the king should have no damage.

Este Daniel se distinguía por encima de los gobernadores y sátrapas, porque poseía un Espíritu superior. El rey pensaba darle autoridad sobre todo el reino.

Pero el mismo Daniel era superior á estos gobernadores y presidentes, porque había en él más abundancia de espíritu: y el rey pensaba de ponerlo sobre todo el reino.

Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.

Por lo cual los gobernadores y sátrapas buscaban ocasión contra Daniel en lo relacionado con el reino, pero no podían hallar alguna acusación o falta, porque él era fiel. Ninguna negligencia o corrupción fue hallada en él.

Entonces los presidentes y gobernadores buscaban ocasiones contra Daniel por parte del reino; mas no podían hallar alguna ocasión ó falta, porque él era fiel, y ningún vicio ni falta fué en él hallado.

Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find none occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him.

Then the presidents and the local governors sought to find occasion against Daniel as touching the kingdom; but they could find no occasion or fault, because he was faithful. There wasn’t any error or fault found in him.

Entonces aquellos hombres se dijeron: No hallaremos algún pretexto contra este Daniel para acusarlo, excepto en relación con la Ley de su ʼElah.

Entonces dijeron aquellos hombres: No hallaremos contra este Daniel ocasión alguna, si no la hallamos contra él en la ley de su Dios.

Then said these men, We shall not find any occasion against this Daniel, except we find it against him concerning the law of his God.

Then these men said, “We won’t find any occasion against this Daniel, unless we find it against him concerning the law of his God.”

Entonces estos gobernadores y sátrapas se reunieron de común acuerdo ante el rey y le dijeron: ¡Rey Darío, vive para siempre!

Entonces estos gobernadores y presidentes se juntaron delante del rey, y le dijeron así: Rey Darío, para siempre vive:

Then these presidents and princes assembled together to the king, and said thus unto him, King Darius, live for ever.

Todos los gobernadores del reino, magistrados, sátrapas, jefes y capitanes acordaron por consejo que promulgues un edicto real y lo firmes. Según este edicto cualquiera que en el espacio de 30 días demande petición de cualquier ʼElah u hombre fuera de ti, oh rey, sea echado en el foso de los leones.

Todos los presidentes del reino, magistrados, gobernadores, grandes, y capitanes, han acordado por consejo promulgar un real edicto, y confirmarlo, que cualquiera que demandare petición de cualquier dios ú hombre en el espacio de treinta días, sino de ti, oh rey, sea echado en el foso de los leones.

All the presidents of the kingdom, the governors, and the princes, the counsellors, and the captains, have consulted together to establish a royal statute, and to make a firm decree, that whosoever shall ask a petition of any God or man for thirty days, save of thee, O king, he shall be cast into the den of lions.

Ahora, oh rey, establece el edicto y firma el documento para que no sea modificado, según la ley de medos y persas, que es irrevocable.

El rey Darío firmó el edicto y la prohibición.

Cuando Daniel supo que el edicto estaba firmado, entró en su casa y abrió las ventanas de su habitación que se abrían hacia Jerusalén. Se arrodillaba tres veces al día, hablaba con Dios y daba gracias a su ʼElah, como solía hacer antes.

Y Daniel, cuando supo que la escritura estaba firmada, entróse en su casa, y abiertas las ventanas de su cámara que estaban hacia Jerusalem, hincábase de rodillas tres veces al día, y oraba, y confesaba delante de su Dios, como lo solía hacer antes.

Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.

Entonces aquellos hombres, por acuerdo, fueron y hallaron a Daniel cuando hacía petición y súplica ante su ʼElah.

Entonces se juntaron aquellos hombres, y hallaron á Daniel orando y rogando delante de su Dios.

Then these men assembled, and found Daniel praying and making supplication before his God.

Luego llegaron al rey y le hablaron con respecto al edicto real: ¿No firmaste un edicto según el cual cualquiera que en el espacio de 30 días haga una petición a cualquier ʼelah u hombre fuera de ti, oh rey, sea echado en el foso de los leones? El rey respondió: La declaración es verdadera, según la ley de medos y persas, la cual no puede ser abrogada.

Llegáronse luego, y hablaron delante del rey acerca del edicto real: ¿No has confirmado edicto que cualquiera que pidiere á cualquier dios ú hombre en el espacio de treinta días, excepto á ti, oh rey, fuese echado en el foso de los leones? Respondió el rey y dijo: Verdad es, conforme á la ley de Media y de Persia, la cual no se abroga.

Then they came near, and spake before the king concerning the king’s decree; Hast thou not signed a decree, that every man that shall ask a petition of any God or man within thirty days, save of thee, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions? The king answered and said, The thing is true, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not.

Then they came near, and spoke before the king concerning the king’s decree: “Haven’t you signed a decree that every man who makes a petition to any god or man within thirty days, except to you, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions?” The king answered, “This thing is true, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which doesn’t alter.”

Entonces ellos contestaron al rey: Daniel, quien es de los cautivos de Judá, no te respeta, oh rey, ni acata el edicto que firmaste, sino hace su petición tres veces al día.

Entonces respondieron y dijeron delante del rey: Daniel que es de los hijos de la cautividad de los Judíos, no ha hecho cuenta de ti, oh rey, ni del edicto que confirmaste; antes tres veces al día hace su petición.

Then answered they and said before the king, That Daniel, which is of the children of the captivity of Judah, regardeth not thee, O king, nor the decree that thou hast signed, but maketh his petition three times a day.

Then they answered and said before the king, “That Daniel, who is of the children of the captivity of Judah, doesn’t respect you, O king, nor the decree that you have signed, but makes his petition three times a day.”

Cuando el rey oyó el asunto, le pesó muchísimo y resolvió librar a Daniel. Se esforzó para librarlo hasta ocultarse el sol.

El rey entonces, oyendo el negocio, pesóle en gran manera, y sobre Daniel puso cuidado para librarlo; y hasta puestas del sol trabajó para librarle.

Then the king, when he heard these words, was sore displeased with himself, and set his heart on Daniel to deliver him: and he laboured till the going down of the sun to deliver him.

Pero aquellos hombres rodearon al rey y le dijeron: Reconoce, oh rey, que es una ley de medos y persas, según la cual ningún edicto o decreto que el rey establezca puede ser abrogado.

Empero aquellos hombres se reunieron cerca del rey, y dijeron al rey: Sepas, oh rey, que es ley de Media y de Persia, que ningún decreto ú ordenanza que el rey confirmare pueda mudarse.

Then these men assembled unto the king, and said unto the king, Know, O king, that the law of the Medes and Persians is, That no decree nor statute which the king establisheth may be changed.

Then these men assembled together to the king, and said to the king, “Know, O king, that it is a law of the Medes and Persians, that no decree nor statute which the king establishes may be changed.”

Entonces el rey dio la orden. Llevaron a Daniel y lo echaron en el foso de los leones. Pero el rey dijo a Daniel: ¡Tu ʼElah, a Quien sirves continuamente, Él mismo te librará!

Entonces el rey mandó, y trajeron á Daniel, y echáronle en el foso de los leones. Y hablando el rey dijo á Daniel: El Dios tuyo, á quien tú continuamente sirves, él te libre.

Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast him into the den of lions. Now the king spake and said unto Daniel, Thy God whom thou servest continually, he will deliver thee.

Una piedra fue llevada y puesta sobre la entrada del foso, la cual el rey selló con su anillo y con el anillo de sus dignatarios, para que el acuerdo con respecto a Daniel no fuera alterado.

Y fué traída una piedra, y puesta sobre la puerta del foso, la cual selló el rey con su anillo, y con el anillo de sus príncipes, porque el acuerdo acerca de Daniel no se mudase.

And a stone was brought, and laid upon the mouth of the den; and the king sealed it with his own signet, and with the signet of his lords; that the purpose might not be changed concerning Daniel.

Luego el rey se retiró a su palacio y pasó la noche en ayuno. No le fueron llevados instrumentos de música ni concubinas bailarinas. El sueño huyó de él.

Fuése luego el rey á su palacio, y acostóse ayuno; ni instrumentos de música fueron traídos delante de él, y se le fué el sueño.

Then the king went to his palace, and passed the night fasting: neither were instruments of musick brought before him: and his sleep went from him.

Al rayar el alba, el rey se levantó y fue apresuradamente al foso de los leones.

El rey, por tanto, se levantó muy de mañana, y fué apriesa al foso de los leones:

Y llegándose cerca del foso llamó á voces á Daniel con voz triste: y hablando el rey dijo á Daniel: Daniel, siervo del Dios viviente, el Dios tuyo, á quien tú continuamente sirves ¿te ha podido librar de los leones?

And when he came to the den, he cried with a lamentable voice unto Daniel: and the king spake and said to Daniel, O Daniel, servant of the living God, is thy God, whom thou servest continually, able to deliver thee from the lions?

When he came near to the den to Daniel, he cried with a troubled voice. The king spoke and said to Daniel, “Daniel, servant of the living God, is your God, whom you serve continually, able to deliver you from the lions?”

Entonces Daniel respondió al rey: ¡Oh rey, vive para siempre!

Entonces habló Daniel con el rey: oh rey, para siempre vive.

Then said Daniel unto the king, O king, live for ever.

Then Daniel said to the king, “O king, live forever!

Mi ʼElah envió a su Ángel, el cual cerró las bocas de los leones para que no me hicieran daño, porque fui hallado inocente ante Él, como también ante ti, oh rey. Nada malo hice.

El Dios mío envió su ángel, el cual cerró la boca de los leones, para que no me hiciesen mal: porque delante de él se halló en mí justicia: y aun delante de ti, oh rey, yo no he hecho lo que no debiese.

My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions’ mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt.

Entonces el rey se alegró muchísimo y ordenó que sacaran a Daniel del foso. Daniel fue sacado del foso, y no se halló ninguna lesión en él, porque confió en su ʼElah.

Entonces se alegró el rey en gran manera á causa de él, y mandó sacar á Daniel del foso: y fué Daniel sacado del foso, y ninguna lesión se halló en él, porque creyó en su Dios.

Then was the king exceeding glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he believed in his God.

Luego el rey dio orden, y aquellos hombres que acusaron a Daniel, junto con sus hijos y sus esposas, fueron llevados y echados en el foso de los leones. Aún no habían llegado al fondo del foso cuando los leones se apoderaron de ellos y los descuartizaron.

Y mandándolo el rey fueron traídos aquellos hombres que habían acusado á Daniel, y fueron echados en el foso de los leones, ellos, sus hijos, y sus mujeres; y aun no habían llegado al suelo del foso, cuando los leones se apoderaron de ellos, y quebrantaron todos sus huesos.

And the king commanded, and they brought those men which had accused Daniel, and they cast them into the den of lions, them, their children, and their wives; and the lions had the mastery of them, and brake all their bones in pieces or ever they came at the bottom of the den.

El rey Darío escribió a todos los pueblos, naciones y lenguas de la tierra: Paz les sea multiplicada.

Then king Darius wrote unto all people, nations, and languages, that dwell in all the earth; Peace be multiplied unto you.

Decreto que en todo el dominio de mi reino todos teman y tiemblen ante el ʼElah de Daniel, porque Él es el ʼElah viviente, y permanece para siempre. Su reino no será destruido y su dominio perdurará para siempre.

De parte mía es puesta ordenanza, que en todo el señorío de mi reino todos teman y tiemblen de la presencia del Dios de Daniel: porque él es el Dios viviente y permanente por todos los siglos, y su reino tal que no será deshecho, y su señorío hasta el fin.

I make a decree, That in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel: for he is the living God, and stedfast for ever, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed, and his dominion shall be even unto the end.

Él salva y libra. Hace señales y maravillas en el cielo y en la tierra. Él libró a Daniel del poder de los leones.

Que salva y libra, y hace señales y maravillas en el cielo y en la tierra; el cual libró á Daniel del poder de los leones.

He delivereth and rescueth, and he worketh signs and wonders in heaven and in earth, who hath delivered Daniel from the power of the lions.

He delivers and rescues. He works signs and wonders in heaven and in earth, who has delivered Daniel from the power of the lions.”

Este Daniel prosperó en el reinado de Darío y en el reinado de Ciro el persa.

Y este Daniel fué prosperado durante el reinado de Darío, y durante el reinado de Ciro, Persa.

So this Daniel prospered in the reign of Darius, and in the reign of Cyrus the Persian.

So this Daniel prospered in the reign of Darius and in the reign of Cyrus the Persian.
