Daniel 8

Dans la troisième année du règne du roi Balthasar, une vision m'apparut, à moi Daniel, à la suite de celle qui m'était apparue tout d'abord.

EN el año tercero del reinado del rey Belsasar, me apareció una visión á mí, Daniel, después de aquella que me había aparecido antes.

In the third year of the reign of king Belshazzar a vision appeared unto me, even unto me Daniel, after that which appeared unto me at the first.

In the third year of the reign of King Belshazzar, a vision appeared to me, even to me, Daniel, after that which appeared to me at the first.

Je regardais au cours de ma vision, et, en regardant, je me trouvais à Suse, la capitale de la province d'Elam; il me semblait, dans ma vision, être près du fleuve Oulaï.

Vi en visión, (y aconteció cuando vi, que yo estaba en Susán, que es cabecera del reino en la provincia de Persia;) vi pues en visión, estando junto al río Ulai,

And I saw in a vision; and it came to pass, when I saw, that I was at Shushan in the palace, which is in the province of Elam; and I saw in a vision, and I was by the river of Ulai.

I saw the vision. Now it was so, that when I saw, I was in the citadel of Susa, which is in the province of Elam. I saw in the vision, and I was by the river Ulai.

Je levai les yeux et je vis un bélier qui se tenait en face du fleuve; il avait deux cornes, et ces deux cornes étaient hautes; toutefois l'une d'elles était plus haute que l'autre, et la plus haute était montée en dernier.

Y alcé mis ojos, y miré, y he aquí un carnero que estaba delante del río, el cual tenía dos cuernos: y aunque eran altos, el uno era más alto que el otro; y el más alto subió á la postre.

Then I lifted up mine eyes, and saw, and, behold, there stood before the river a ram which had two horns: and the two horns were high; but one was higher than the other, and the higher came up last.

Then I lifted up my eyes and saw, and behold, a ram which had two horns stood before the river. The two horns were high, but one was higher than the other, and the higher came up last.

Je vis le bélier donnant des coups de corne du côté de l'ouest, du nord et du midi; aucune des bêtes ne lui résistait et personne ne pouvait se défendre contre ses coups. Il en faisait à sa volonté et allait grandissant.

Vi que el carnero hería con los cuernos al poniente, al norte, y al mediodía, y que ninguna bestia podía parar delante de él, ni había quien escapase de su mano: y hacía conforme á su voluntad, y engrandecíase.

I saw the ram pushing westward, and northward, and southward; so that no beasts might stand before him, neither was there any that could deliver out of his hand; but he did according to his will, and became great.

I saw the ram pushing westward, northward, and southward. No animals could stand before him. There wasn’t any who could deliver out of his hand, but he did according to his will, and magnified himself.

Tandis que j'observais, voilà qu'un bouc vint de l'occident, franchissant la surface de toute la terre sans toucher le sol; ce bouc avait une corne considérable entre les yeux.

Y estando yo considerando, he aquí un macho de cabrío venía de la parte del poniente sobre la haz de toda la tierra, el cual no tocaba la tierra: y tenía aquel macho de cabrío un cuerno notable entre sus ojos:

And as I was considering, behold, an he goat came from the west on the face of the whole earth, and touched not the ground: and the goat had a notable horn between his eyes.

As I was considering, behold, a male goat came from the west over the surface of the whole earth, and didn’t touch the ground. The goat had a notable horn between his eyes.

Il arriva jusqu'au bélier, muni de deux cornes, que j'avais vu se tenir en face du fleuve, et se rua sur lui dans le paroxysme de sa force.

Y vino hasta el carnero que tenía los dos cuernos, al cual había yo visto que estaba delante del río, y corrió contra él con la ira de su fortaleza.

And he came to the ram that had two horns, which I had seen standing before the river, and ran unto him in the fury of his power.

He came to the ram that had the two horns, which I saw standing before the river, and ran on him in the fury of his power.

Je le vis atteindre le bélier, se précipiter avec fureur contre lui, frapper le bélier et briser ses deux cornes sans que le bélier eût la force de lui tenir tête. II le jeta à terre, le foula aux pieds, et personne ne put sauver le bélier de ses coups.

Y vilo que llegó junto al carnero, y levantóse contra él, é hiriólo, y quebró sus dos cuernos, porque en el carnero no había fuerzas para parar delante de él: derribólo por tanto en tierra, y hollólo; ni hubo quien librase al carnero de su mano.

And I saw him come close unto the ram, and he was moved with choler against him, and smote the ram, and brake his two horns: and there was no power in the ram to stand before him, but he cast him down to the ground, and stamped upon him: and there was none that could deliver the ram out of his hand.

I saw him come close to the ram, and he was moved with anger against him, and struck the ram, and broke his two horns. There was no power in the ram to stand before him; but he cast him down to the ground and trampled on him. There was no one who could deliver the ram out of his hand.

Et le bouc grandit prodigieusement; mais au fort de sa puissance, la grande corne se brisa, et à sa place quatre autres cornes considérables s'élevèrent dans la direction des quatre vents du ciel.

Y engrandecióse en gran manera el macho de cabrío; y estando en su mayor fuerza, aquel gran cuerno fué quebrado, y en su lugar subieron otros cuatro maravillosos hacia los cuatro vientos del cielo.

Therefore the he goat waxed very great: and when he was strong, the great horn was broken; and for it came up four notable ones toward the four winds of heaven.

The male goat magnified himself exceedingly. When he was strong, the great horn was broken; and instead of it there came up four notable horns toward the four winds of the sky.

D'une de ces cornes en sortit une autre, petite †d'abord, mais qui grandit démesurément vers le midi, vers l'orient et vers le joyau †des pays.

Y del uno de ellos salió un cuerno pequeño, el cual creció mucho al mediodía, y al oriente, y hacia la tierra deseable.

And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land.

Elle se haussa jusqu'à l'armée du ciel, et fit tomber à terre une partie de cette armée et des étoiles, et les foula aux pieds.

Y engrandecióse hasta el ejército del cielo; y parte del ejército y de las estrellas echó por tierra, y las holló.

And it waxed great, even to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon them.

It grew great, even to the army of the sky; and it cast down some of the army and of the stars to the ground and trampled on them.

Elle se haussa même jusqu'au chef de cette armée, dont l'holocauste perpétuel fut supprimé et la sainte résidence renversée.

Aun contra el príncipe de la fortaleza se engrandeció, y por él fué quitado el continuo sacrificio, y el lugar de su santuario fué echado por tierra.

Yea, he magnified himself even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down.

Yes, it magnified itself, even to the prince of the army; and it took away from him the continual burnt offering, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down.

L'armée lui fut livrée en proie en même temps que l'holocauste perpétuel, par suite de la rébellion. Elle terrassa la vérité et vit prospérer son œuvre.

Y el ejército fuéle entregado á causa de la prevaricación sobre el continuo sacrificio: y echó por tierra la verdad, é hizo cuanto quiso, y sucedióle prósperamente.

And an host was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practised, and prospered.

The army was given over to it together with the continual burnt offering through disobedience. It cast down truth to the ground, and it did its pleasure and prospered.

Puis j'entendis un saint prendre la parole et un †autre saint demander à celui qui parlait: "Jusqu'à quand †les indications de cette vision: l'holocauste perpétuel †supprimé, le crime abominable, le sanctuaire et l'armée piétinés?"

Y oí un santo que hablaba; y otro de los santos dijo á aquél que hablaba: ¿Hasta cuándo durará la visión del continuo sacrificio, y la prevaricación asoladora que pone el santuario y el ejército para ser hollados?

Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which spake, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot?

Then I heard a holy one speaking; and another holy one said to that certain one who spoke, “How long will the vision about the continual burnt offering, and the disobedience that makes desolate, to give both the sanctuary and the army to be trodden under foot be?”

Et il me dit: "Jusqu'à deux mille trois cents soirs et matins; alors le sanctuaire sera réhabilité."

Y él me dijo: Hasta dos mil y trescientos días de tarde y mañana; y el santuario será purificado.

And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.

He said to me, “To two thousand and three hundred evenings and mornings. Then the sanctuary will be cleansed.”

Or, tandis que moi, Daniel, je considérais cette vision et cherchais à comprendre, voilà qu'une forme humaine vint se placer en face de moi,

Y acaeció que estando yo Daniel considerando la visión, y buscando su inteligencia, he aquí, como una semejanza de hombre se puso delante de mí.

And it came to pass, when I, even I Daniel, had seen the vision, and sought for the meaning, then, behold, there stood before me as the appearance of a man.

When I, even I Daniel, had seen the vision, I sought to understand it. Then behold, there stood before me someone with the appearance of a man.

et j'entendis la voix d'un homme entre †les rives de l'Oulaï; il appelait et disait: "Gabriel, explique à celui-là la vision!"

Y oí una voz de hombre entre las riberas de Ulai, que gritó y dijo: Gabriel, enseña la visión á éste.

And I heard a man’s voice between the banks of Ulai, which called, and said, Gabriel, make this man to understand the vision.

Il s'approcha de l'endroit où je me tenais; à son approche, je fus pris de frayeur et je tombai sur la face; et il me dit: "Rends-toi bien compte, fils de l'homme, que la vision se rapporte au temps final."

Vino luego cerca de donde yo estaba; y con su venida me asombré, y caí sobre mi rostro. Empero él me dijo: Entiende, hijo del hombre, porque al tiempo se cumplirá la visión.

So he came near where I stood: and when he came, I was afraid, and fell upon my face: but he said unto me, Understand, O son of man: for at the time of the end shall be the vision.

So he came near where I stood; and when he came, I was frightened, and fell on my face; but he said to me, “Understand, son of man, for the vision belongs to the time of the end.”

Pendant qu'il me parlait, j'étais tout étourdi, la figure contre terre; il me toucha et me remit sur mes pieds.

Y estando él hablando conmigo, caí dormido en tierra sobre mi rostro: y él me tocó, é hízome estar en pie.

Now as he was speaking with me, I was in a deep sleep on my face toward the ground: but he touched me, and set me upright.

Now as he was speaking with me, I fell into a deep sleep with my face toward the ground; but he touched me and set me upright.

Il me dit: "Je vais te faire connaître ce qui arrivera à la suite de la tourmente, car †cela a trait à la période finale.

Y dijo: He aquí yo te enseñaré lo que ha de venir en el fin de la ira: porque al tiempo se cumplirá:

And he said, Behold, I will make thee know what shall be in the last end of the indignation: for at the time appointed the end shall be.

He said, “Behold, I will make you know what will be in the latter time of the indignation, for it belongs to the appointed time of the end.

Le bélier que tu as vu, muni des deux cornes, désigne les rois de Médie et de Perse;

Aquel carnero que viste, que tenía cuernos, son los reyes de Media y de Persia.

The ram which thou sawest having two horns are the kings of Media and Persia.

The ram which you saw, that had the two horns, they are the kings of Media and Persia.

le bouc velu, c'est le roi de la Grèce; la grande corne qu'il porte entre les yeux, c'est le premier roi.

Y el macho cabrío es el rey de Javán: y el cuerno grande que tenía entre sus ojos es el rey primero.

And the rough goat is the king of Grecia: and the great horn that is between his eyes is the first king.

The rough male goat is the king of Greece. The great horn that is between his eyes is the first king.

Et si elle s'est brisée, quatre †autres surgissant à sa place, c'est que quatre royaumes sortiront de cette nation, mais sans avoir la même puissance.

Y que fué quebrado y sucedieron cuatro en su lugar, significa que cuatro reinos sucederán de la nación, mas no en la fortaleza de él.

Now that being broken, whereas four stood up for it, four kingdoms shall stand up out of the nation, but not in his power.

As for that which was broken, in the place where four stood up, four kingdoms will stand up out of the nation, but not with his power.

Au terme de leur domination, quand les impies auront comblé la mesure, il s'élèvera un roi arrogant et expert en astuces.

Y al cabo del imperio de éstos, cuando se cumplirán los prevaricadores, levantaráse un rey altivo de rostro, y entendido en dudas.

And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.

“In the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors have come to the full, a king of fierce face, and understanding riddles, will stand up.

Grande sera sa force, mais non par sa propre vertu; il opérera des ruines extraordinaires, réussira dans ses entreprises, détruira des puissants et un peuple de saints.

Y su poder se fortalecerá, mas no con fuerza suya; y destruirá maravillosamente, y prosperará; y hará arbitrariamente, y destruirá fuertes y al pueblo de los santos.

And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people.

His power will be mighty, but not by his own power. He will destroy awesomely, and will prosper in what he does. He will destroy the mighty ones and the holy people.

Grâce à son intelligence, il verra le triomphe de sa perfidie et enflera son cœur; en pleine paix, il fera périr un grand nombre; il s'insurgera contre le souverain des souverains et sera brisé sans l'intervention d'une main †humaine.

Y con su sagacidad hará prosperar el engaño en su mano; y en su corazón se engrandecerá, y con paz destruirá á muchos: y contra el príncipe de los príncipes se levantará; mas sin mano será quebrantado.

And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.

Through his policy he will cause deceit to prosper in his hand. He will magnify himself in his heart, and he will destroy many in their security. He will also stand up against the prince of princes, but he will be broken without human hands.

Or, la vision des soirs et matins, dont il a été question, est véridique; mais toi, tiens cette vision secrète, car elle se rapporte à des temps éloignés."

Y la visión de la tarde y la mañana que está dicha, es verdadera: y tú guarda la visión, porque es para muchos días.

And the vision of the evening and the morning which was told is true: wherefore shut thou up the vision; for it shall be for many days.

“The vision of the evenings and mornings which has been told is true; but seal up the vision, for it belongs to many days to come.”

Et moi, Daniel, je fus affecté et malade pendant des jours; puis, je me relevai et exécutai la besogne du roi. J'étais tout troublé de la vision et ne la comprenais point.

Y yo Daniel fuí quebrantado, y estuve enfermo algunos días: y cuando convalecí, hice el negocio del rey; mas estaba espantado acerca de la visión, y no había quien la entendiese.

And I Daniel fainted, and was sick certain days; afterward I rose up, and did the king’s business; and I was astonished at the vision, but none understood it.

I, Daniel, fainted, and was sick for some days. Then I rose up and did the king’s business. I wondered at the vision, but no one understood it.
