1Im ersten Jahr des Darius, des Sohnes Ahasveros, aus der Meder Stamm, der über das Königreich der Chaldäer König ward,
2in diesem ersten Jahr seines Königreiches merkte ich, Daniel, in den Büchern auf die Zahl der Jahre, davon der HERR geredet hatte zum Propheten Jeremia, daß Jerusalem sollte siebzig Jahre wüst liegen.
3Und ich kehrte mich zu Gott dem HERRN, zu beten und zu flehen mit Fasten im Sack und in der Asche.
4Ich betete aber zu dem HERRN, meinem Gott, bekannte und sprach: Ach lieber Herr, du großer und schrecklicher Gott, der du Bund und Gnade hältst denen, die dich lieben und deine Gebote halten:
5wir haben gesündigt, unrecht getan, sind gottlos gewesen und abtrünnig geworden; wir sind von deinen Geboten und Rechten gewichen.
6Wir gehorchten nicht deinen Knechten, den Propheten, die in deinem Namen unsern Königen, Fürsten, Vätern und allem Volk im Lande predigten.
7Du, Herr, bist gerecht, wir aber müssen uns schämen; wie es denn jetzt geht denen von Juda und denen von Jerusalem und dem ganzen Israel, denen, die nahe und fern sind in allen Landen, dahin du sie verstoßen hast um ihrer Missetat willen, die sie an dir begangen haben.
8Ja, Herr, wir, unsre Könige, unsre Fürsten und unsre Väter müssen uns schämen, daß wir uns an dir versündigt haben.
9Dein aber, Herr, unser Gott, ist die Barmherzigkeit und Vergebung. Denn wir sind abtrünnig geworden
10und gehorchten nicht der Stimme des HERRN, unsers Gottes, daß wir gewandelt hätten in seinem Gesetz, welches er uns vorlegte durch seine Knechte, die Propheten;
11sondern das ganze Israel übertrat dein Gesetz, und sie wichen ab, daß sie deiner Stimme nicht gehorchten. Darum trifft uns auch der Fluch und Schwur, der geschrieben steht im Gesetz Moses, des Knechtes Gottes, weil wir an ihm gesündigt haben.
12Und er hat seine Worte gehalten, die er geredet hat wider uns und unsre Richter, die uns richten sollten, daß er so großes Unglück über uns hat gehen lassen, daß desgleichen unter dem ganzen Himmel nicht geschehen ist, wie über Jerusalem geschehen ist.
13Gleichwie es geschrieben steht im Gesetz Mose's, so ist all dies große Unglück über uns gegangen. So beteten wir auch nicht vor dem HERRN, unserm Gott, daß wir uns von den Sünden bekehrten und auf deine Wahrheit achteten.
14Darum ist der HERR auch wach gewesen mit diesem Unglück und hat's über uns gehen lassen. Denn der HERR, unser Gott, ist gerecht in allen seinen Werken, die er tut; denn wir gehorchten seiner Stimme nicht.
15Und nun, Herr, unser Gott, der du dein Volk aus Ägyptenland geführt hast mit starker Hand und hast dir einen Namen gemacht, wie er jetzt ist: wir haben ja gesündigt und sind leider gottlos gewesen.
16Ach Herr, um aller deiner Gerechtigkeit willen wende ab deinen Zorn und Grimm von deiner Stadt Jerusalem und deinem heiligen Berge. Denn um unsrer Sünden willen und um unsrer Väter Missetat willen trägt Jerusalem und dein Volk Schmach bei allen, die um uns her sind.
17Und nun, unser Gott, höre das Gebet deines Knechtes und sein Flehen, und siehe gnädig an dein Heiligtum, das verstört ist, um des Herrn willen.
18Neige dein Ohr, mein Gott, und höre, tue deine Augen auf und sieh, wie wir verstört sind und die ganze Stadt, die nach deinem Namen genannt ist. Denn wir liegen vor dir mit unserm Gebet, nicht auf unsre Gerechtigkeit, sondern auf deine große Barmherzigkeit.
19Ach Herr, höre, ach Herr, sei gnädig, ach Herr, merke auf und tue es, und verzieh nicht um deiner selbst willen, mein Gott! denn deine Stadt und dein Volk ist nach deinem Namen genannt.
20Als ich noch so redete und betete und meine und meines Volks Israel Sünde bekannte und lag mit meinem Gebet vor dem HERRN, meinem Gott, um den heiligen Berg meines Gottes,
21eben da ich so redete in meinem Gebet, flog daher der Mann Gabriel, den ich zuvor gesehen hatte im Gesicht, und rührte mich an um die Zeit des Abendopfers.
22Und er unterrichtete mich und redete mit mir und sprach: Daniel, jetzt bin ich ausgegangen, dich zu unterrichten.
23Den da du anfingst zu beten, ging dieser Befehl aus, und ich komme darum, daß ich dir's anzeige; denn du bist lieb und wert. So merke nun darauf, daß du das Gesicht verstehest.
24Siebzig Wochen sind bestimmt über dein Volk und über die heilige Stadt, so wird dem Übertreten gewehrt und die Sünde abgetan und die Missetat versöhnt und die ewige Gerechtigkeit gebracht und die Gesichte und Weissagung versiegelt und ein Hochheiliges gesalbt werden.
25So wisse nun und merke: von der Zeit an, da ausgeht der Befehl, daß Jerusalem soll wieder gebaut werden, bis auf den Gesalbten, den Fürsten, sind sieben Wochen; und zweiundsechzig Wochen, so werden die Gassen und Mauern wieder gebaut werden, wiewohl in kümmerlicher Zeit.
26Und nach den zweiundsechzig Wochen wird der Gesalbte ausgerottet werden und nichts mehr sein. Und das Volk eines Fürsten wird kommen und die Stadt und das Heiligtum verstören, daß es ein Ende nehmen wird wie durch eine Flut; und bis zum Ende des Streits wird's wüst bleiben.
27Er wird aber vielen den Bund stärken eine Woche lang. Und mitten in der Woche wird das Opfer und Speisopfer aufhören. Und bei den Flügeln werden stehen Greuel der Verwüstung, bis das Verderben, welches beschlossen ist, sich über die Verwüstung ergießen wird.

1EN el año primero de Darío hijo de Assuero, de la nación de los Medos, el cual fué puesto por rey sobre el reino de los Caldeos;
2En el año primero de su reinado, yo Daniel miré atentamente en los libros el número de los años, del cual habló Jehová al profeta Jeremías, que había de concluir la asolación de Jerusalem en setenta años.
3Y volví mi rostro al Señor Dios, buscándole en oración y ruego, en ayuno, y cilicio, y ceniza.
4Y oré á Jehová mi Dios, y confesé, y dije: Ahora Señor, Dios grande, digno de ser temido, que guardas el pacto y la misericordia con los que te aman y guardan tus mandamientos;
5Hemos pecado, hemos hecho iniquidad, hemos obrado impíamente, y hemos sido rebeldes, y nos hemos apartado de tus mandamientos y de tus juicios.
6No hemos obedecido á tus siervos los profetas, que en tu nombre hablaron á nuestros reyes, y á nuestros príncipes, á nuestros padres, y á todo el pueblo de la tierra.
7Tuya es, Señor, la justicia, y nuestra la confusión de rostro, como en el día de hoy á todo hombre de Judá, y á los moradores de Jerusalem, y á todo Israel, á los de cerca y á los de lejos, en todas las tierras á donde los has echado á causa de su rebelión con que contra ti se rebelaron.
8Oh Jehová, nuestra es la confusión de rostro, de nuestros reyes, de nuestros príncipes, y de nuestros padres; porque contra ti pecamos.
9De Jehová nuestro Dios es el tener misericordia, y el perdonar, aunque contra él nos hemos rebelado;
10Y no obedecimos á la voz de Jehová nuestro Dios, para andar en sus leyes, las cuales puso él delante de nosotros por mano de sus siervos los profetas.
11Y todo Israel traspasó tu ley apartándose para no oir tu voz: por lo cual ha fluído sobre nosotros la maldición, y el juramento que está escrito en la ley de Moisés, siervo de Dios; porque contra él pecamos.
12Y él ha verificado su palabra que habló sobre nosotros, y sobre nuestros jueces que nos gobernaron, trayendo sobre nosotros tan grande mal; que nunca fué hecho debajo del cielo como el que fué hecho en Jerusalem.
13Según está escrito en la ley de Moisés, todo aqueste mal vino sobre nosotros: y no hemos rogado á la faz de Jehová nuestro Dios, para convertirnos de nuestras maldades, y entender tu verdad.
14Veló por tanto Jehová sobre el mal, y trájolo sobre nosotros; porque justo es Jehová nuestro Dios en todas sus obras que hizo, porque no obedecimos á su voz.
15Ahora pues, Señor Dios nuestro, que sacaste tu pueblo de la tierra de Egipto con mano poderosa, y te hiciste nombre cual en este día; hemos pecado, impíamente hemos hecho.
16Oh Señor, según todas tus justicias, apártese ahora tu ira y tu furor de sobre tu ciudad Jerusalem, tu santo monte: porque á causa de nuestros pecados, y por la maldad de nuestros padres, Jerusalem y tu pueblo dados son en oprobio á todos en derredor nuestro.
17Ahora pues, Dios nuestro, oye la oración de tu siervo, y sus ruegos, y haz que tu rostro resplandezca sobre tu santuario asolado, por amor del Señor.
18Inclina, oh Dios mío, tu oído, y oye; abre tus ojos, y mira nuestros asolamientos, y la ciudad sobre la cual es llamado tu nombre: porque no derramamos nuestros ruegos ante tu acatamiento confiados en nuestras justicias, sino en tus muchas miseraciones.
19Oye, Señor; oh Señor, perdona; presta oído, Señor, y haz; no pongas dilación, por amor de ti mismo, Dios mío: porque tu nombre es llamado sobre tu ciudad y sobre tu pueblo.
20Aun estaba hablando, y orando, y confesando mi pecado y el pecado de mi pueblo Israel, y derramaba mi ruego delante de Jehová mi Dios por el monte santo de mi Dios;
21Aun estaba hablando en oración, y aquel varón Gabriel, al cual había visto en visión al principio, volando con presteza, me tocó como á la hora del sacrificio de la tarde.
22E hízome entender, y habló conmigo, y dijo: Daniel, ahora he salido para hacerte entender la declaración.
23Al principio de tus ruegos salió la palabra, y yo he venido para enseñártela, porque tú eres varón de deseos. Entiende pues la palabra, y entiende la visión.
24Setenta semanas están determinadas sobre tu pueblo y sobre tu santa ciudad, para acabar la prevaricación, y concluir el pecado, y expiar la iniquidad; y para traer la justicia de los siglos, y sellar la visión y la profecía, y ungir al Santo de los santos.
25Sepas pues y entiendas, que desde la salida de la palabra para restaurar y edificar á Jerusalem hasta el Mesías Príncipe, habrá siete semanas, y sesenta y dos semanas; tornaráse á edificar la plaza y el muro en tiempos angustiosos.
26Y después de las sesenta y dos semanas se quitará la vida al Mesías, y no por sí: y el pueblo de un príncipe que ha de venir, destruirá á la ciudad y el santuario; con inundación será el fin de ella, y hasta el fin de la guerra será talada con asolamientos.
27Y en otra semana confirmará el pacto á muchos, y á la mitad de la semana hará cesar el sacrificio y la ofrenda: después con la muchedumbre de las abominaciones será el desolar, y esto hasta una entera consumación; y derramaráse la ya determinada sobre el pueblo asolado.

1In the first year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus, of the seed of the Medes, which was made king over the realm of the Chaldeans;
2In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.
3And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes:
4And I prayed unto the LORD my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments;
5We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts and from thy judgments:
6Neither have we hearkened unto thy servants the prophets, which spake in thy name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.
7O Lord, righteousness belongeth unto thee, but unto us confusion of faces, as at this day; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel, that are near, and that are far off, through all the countries whither thou hast driven them, because of their trespass that they have trespassed against thee.
8O Lord, to us belongeth confusion of face, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against thee.
9To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against him;
10Neither have we obeyed the voice of the LORD our God, to walk in his laws, which he set before us by his servants the prophets.
11Yea, all Israel have transgressed thy law, even by departing, that they might not obey thy voice; therefore the curse is poured upon us, and the oath that is written in the law of Moses the servant of God, because we have sinned against him.
12And he hath confirmed his words, which he spake against us, and against our judges that judged us, by bringing upon us a great evil: for under the whole heaven hath not been done as hath been done upon Jerusalem.
13As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil is come upon us: yet made we not our prayer before the LORD our God, that we might turn from our iniquities, and understand thy truth.
14Therefore hath the LORD watched upon the evil, and brought it upon us: for the LORD our God is righteous in all his works which he doeth: for we obeyed not his voice.
15And now, O Lord our God, that hast brought thy people forth out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and hast gotten thee renown, as at this day; we have sinned, we have done wickedly.
16O Lord, according to all thy righteousness, I beseech thee, let thine anger and thy fury be turned away from thy city Jerusalem, thy holy mountain: because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and thy people are become a reproach to all that are about us.
17Now therefore, O our God, hear the prayer of thy servant, and his supplications, and cause thy face to shine upon thy sanctuary that is desolate, for the Lord’s sake.
18O my God, incline thine ear, and hear; open thine eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city which is called by thy name: for we do not present our supplications before thee for our righteousnesses, but for thy great mercies.
19O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, hearken and do; defer not, for thine own sake, O my God: for thy city and thy people are called by thy name.
20And whiles I was speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the LORD my God for the holy mountain of my God;
21Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation.
22And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, O Daniel, I am now come forth to give thee skill and understanding.
23At the beginning of thy supplications the commandment came forth, and I am come to shew thee; for thou art greatly beloved: therefore understand the matter, and consider the vision.
24Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.
25Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.
26And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
27And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

1In the first year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus, of the offspring of the Medes, who was made king over the realm of the Chaldeans—
2in the first year of his reign I, Daniel, understood by the books the number of the years about which the LORD’s word came to Jeremiah the prophet for the accomplishing of the desolations of Jerusalem, even seventy years.
3I set my face to the Lord God, to seek by prayer and petitions, with fasting and sackcloth and ashes.
4I prayed to the LORD my God, and made confession, and said, “Oh, Lord, the great and dreadful God, who keeps covenant and loving kindness with those who love him and keep his commandments,
5we have sinned, and have dealt perversely, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even turning aside from your precepts and from your ordinances.
6We haven’t listened to your servants the prophets, who spoke in your name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.
7“Lord, righteousness belongs to you, but to us confusion of face, as it is today; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to all Israel, who are near and who are far off, through all the countries where you have driven them, because of their trespass that they have trespassed against you.
8Lord, to us belongs confusion of face, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against you.

13As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil has come on us. Yet we have not entreated the favor of the LORD our God, that we should turn from our iniquities and have discernment in your truth.
14Therefore the LORD has watched over the evil, and brought it on us; for the LORD our God is righteous in all his works which he does, and we have not obeyed his voice.
15“Now, Lord our God, who has brought your people out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and have gotten yourself renown, as it is today, we have sinned. We have done wickedly.
16Lord, according to all your righteousness, please let your anger and your wrath be turned away from your city Jerusalem, your holy mountain; because for our sins and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and your people have become a reproach to all who are around us.
17“Now therefore, our God, listen to the prayer of your servant and to his petitions, and cause your face to shine on your sanctuary that is desolate, for the Lord’s sake.
18My God, turn your ear and hear. Open your eyes and see our desolations, and the city which is called by your name; for we do not present our petitions before you for our righteousness, but for your great mercies’ sake.
19Lord, hear. Lord, forgive. Lord, listen and do. Don’t defer, for your own sake, my God, because your city and your people are called by your name.”
20While I was speaking, praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the LORD my God for the holy mountain of my God—
21yes, while I was speaking in prayer—the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening offering.
22He instructed me and talked with me, and said, “Daniel, I have now come to give you wisdom and understanding.
23At the beginning of your petitions the commandment went out, and I have come to tell you, for you are greatly beloved. Therefore consider the matter and understand the vision.
24“Seventy weeks are decreed on your people and on your holy city, to finish disobedience, to make an end of sins, to make reconciliation for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most holy.
25“Know therefore and discern that from the going out of the commandment to restore and build Jerusalem to the Anointed One, the prince, will be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks. It will be built again, with street and moat, even in troubled times.
26After the sixty-two weeks the Anointed One will be cut off, and will have nothing. The people of the prince who come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. Its end will be with a flood, and war will be even to the end. Desolations are determined.
27He will make a firm covenant with many for one week. In the middle of the week he will cause the sacrifice and the offering to cease. On the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate; and even to the decreed full end, wrath will be poured out on the desolate.”
