Los sacerdotes levitas, de hecho toda la tribu de Leví, no tendrán participación en la asignación de tierras con los otros israelitas. Deben comer de las ofrendas de comida presentadas al Señor, que es lo que tienen derecho a recibir.
LOS sacerdotes Levitas, toda la tribu de Leví, no tendrán parte ni heredad con Israel; de las ofrendas encendidas á Jehová, y de la heredad de él comerán.
The priests the Levites, and all the tribe of Levi, shall have no part nor inheritance with Israel: they shall eat the offerings of the LORD made by fire, and his inheritance.

Aunque no son dueños de tierras entre las otras tribus, el Señor cuidará de ellos, como lo prometió.
No tendrán, pues, heredad entre sus hermanos: Jehová es su heredad, como él les ha dicho.

La parte del sacrificio de un toro o una oveja que es traída por el pueblo para los sacerdotes es la siguiente: A los sacerdotes se les debe dar el hombro, la mandíbula y el interior.
Y este será el derecho de los sacerdotes de parte del pueblo, de los que ofrecieren en sacrificio buey ó cordero: darán al sacerdote la espalda, y las quijadas, y el cuajar.
And this shall be the priest’s due from the people, from them that offer a sacrifice, whether it be ox or sheep; and they shall give unto the priest the shoulder, and the two cheeks, and the maw.

Darán las primicias de su grano, vino nuevo y aceite de oliva, así como la primera lana esquilada de su rebaño.
Las primicias de tu grano, de tu vino, y de tu aceite, y las primicias de la lana de tus ovejas le darás:
The firstfruit also of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the first of the fleece of thy sheep, shalt thou give him.

Porque el Señor su Dios ha elegido a Leví y a sus descendientes de todas tus tribus para que estén ante él y sirvan en su nombre para siempre.
Porque le ha escogido Jehová tu Dios de todas tus tribus, para que esté para ministrar al nombre de Jehová, él y sus hijos para siempre.
For the LORD thy God hath chosen him out of all thy tribes, to stand to minister in the name of the LORD, him and his sons for ever.

Si un levita se convence de que debe mudarse de cualquier ciudad israelita y va al lugar que el Señor elija,
Y cuando el Levita saliere de alguna de tus ciudades de todo Israel, donde hubiere peregrinado, y viniere con todo deseo de su alma al lugar que Jehová escogiere,
And if a Levite come from any of thy gates out of all Israel, where he sojourned, and come with all the desire of his mind unto the place which the LORD shall choose;
If a Levite comes from any of your gates out of all Israel where he lives, and comes with all the desire of his soul to the place which the LORD shall choose,
entonces se le permitirá servir en el nombre del Señor su Dios como todos sus compañeros levitas que están allí en servicio ante el Señor.
Ministrará al nombre de Jehová su Dios, como todos sus hermanos los Levitas que estuvieren allí delante de Jehová.
Then he shall minister in the name of the LORD his God, as all his brethren the Levites do, which stand there before the LORD.

Todos ellos recibirán las mismas asignaciones de comida, a pesar de que él haya recibido dinero de la venta de la propiedad de su padre.

Una vez que entres en el país que el Señor tu Dios te da, no imites las costumbres ofensivas de las naciones que están allí.
Cuando hubieres entrado en la tierra que Jehová tu Dios te da, no aprenderás á hacer según las abominaciones de aquellas gentes.
When thou art come into the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations.
When you have come into the land which the LORD your God gives you, you shall not learn to imitate the abominations of those nations.
No debe haber nadie que sacrifique a su hijo o hija en el fuego, que practique adivinación o adivinación de la fortuna, que utilice magia o la hechicería,
No sea hallado en ti quien haga pasar su hijo ó su hija por el fuego, ni practicante de adivinaciones, ni agorero, ni sortílego, ni hechicero,
There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch,
There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who tells fortunes, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer,
que practique la brujería, que visite a un médium o espiritista, o que se comunique con los muertos. Cualquiera que haga tales cosas ofende al Señor.
Ni fraguador de encantamentos, ni quien pregunte á pitón, ni mágico, ni quien pregunte á los muertos.
Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.

Es por estas cosas ofensivas que el Señor tu Dios está expulsando a las naciones antes que tú.
Porque es abominación á Jehová cualquiera que hace estas cosas, y por estas abominaciones Jehová tu Dios las echó de delante de ti.
For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.
For whoever does these things is an abomination to the LORD. Because of these abominations, the LORD your God drives them out from before you.
Debes ser inocente de tales cosas en la presencia del Señor tu Dios.
Perfecto serás con Jehová tu Dios.
Thou shalt be perfect with the LORD thy God.
You shall be blameless with the LORD your God.
Aunque estas naciones, cuya tierra ocuparán ustedes, escuchen a los magos y adivinos, el Señor su Dios les prohíbe a ustedes hacer lo mismo.
Porque estas gentes que has de heredar, á agoreros y hechiceros oían: mas tú, no así te ha dado Jehová tu Dios.
For these nations, which thou shalt possess, hearkened unto observers of times, and unto diviners: but as for thee, the LORD thy God hath not suffered thee so to do.
For these nations that you shall dispossess listen to those who practice sorcery and to diviners; but as for you, the LORD your God has not allowed you so to do.
El Señor tu Dios les enviará un profeta como yo, y será de entre el mismo pueblo. Deben escucharlo.
Profeta de en medio de ti, de tus hermanos, como yo, te levantará Jehová tu Dios: á él oiréis:
The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;
The LORD your God will raise up to you a prophet from among you, of your brothers, like me. You shall listen to him.
Recuerden lo que le dijeron al Señor su Dios en Horeb cuando estaban reunidos allí. Dijeron: “Por favor, no nos dejes seguir escuchando al Señor nuestro Dios ni ver este fuego aterrador nunca más. ¡De lo contrario moriremos!”
Conforme á todo lo que pediste á Jehová tu Dios en Horeb el día de la asamblea, diciendo: No vuelva yo á oir la voz de Jehová mi Dios, ni vea yo más este gran fuego, porque no muera.
According to all that thou desiredst of the LORD thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not.
This is according to all that you desired of the LORD your God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, “Let me not hear again the LORD my God’s voice, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I not die.”
Entonces el Señor me dijo: “Tienen razón en lo que dicen.
Y Jehová me dijo: Bien han dicho.
And the LORD said unto me, They have well spoken that which they have spoken.
The LORD said to me, “They have well said that which they have spoken.
Voy a enviarles un profeta de su pueblo. Le daré mis mensajes y les dirá todo lo que le ordene.
Profeta les suscitaré de en medio de sus hermanos, como tú; y pondré mis palabras en su boca, y él les hablará todo lo que yo le mandare.
I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.
I will raise them up a prophet from among their brothers, like you. I will put my words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I shall command him.
Me haré cargo de todo aquel que no escuche mi mensaje que el profeta habla en mi nombre.
Mas será, que cualquiera que no oyere mis palabras que él hablare en mi nombre, yo le residenciaré.
And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.
It shall happen, that whoever will not listen to my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.
Sin embargo, si algún profeta afirma estar entregando un mensaje en mi nombre que no le he ordenado dar, o habla en nombre de otros dioses, ese profeta debe ser ejecutado”.
Empero el profeta que presumiere hablar palabra en mi nombre, que yo no le haya mandado hablar, ó que hablare en nombre de dioses ajenos, el tal profeta morirá.
But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die.
But the prophet who speaks a word presumptuously in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other gods, that same prophet shall die.”
Se preguntarán: “¿Cómo podemos estar seguros de que un mensaje no ha venido del Señor?”
Y si dijeres en tu corazón: ¿Cómo conoceremos la palabra que Jehová no hubiere hablado?
And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken?
You may say in your heart, “How shall we know the word which the LORD has not spoken?”
Cuando un profeta habla en el nombre del Señor y lo que dice no sucede o se hace realidad, entonces eso no es un mensaje del Señor. En ese caso el profeta ha hablado con desprecio hacia el Señor. No se dejen intimidar por él.
Cuando el profeta hablare en nombre de Jehová, y no fuere la tal cosa, ni viniere, es palabra que Jehová no ha hablado: con soberbia la habló aquel profeta: no tengas temor de él.
When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.
When a prophet speaks in the LORD’s name, if the thing doesn’t follow, nor happen, that is the thing which the LORD has not spoken. The prophet has spoken it presumptuously. You shall not be afraid of him.
