1Wenn jemand ein Weib nimmt und ehelicht sie, und sie nicht Gnade findet vor seinen Augen, weil er etwas schändliches an ihr gefunden hat, so soll er einen Scheidebrief schreiben und ihr in die Hand geben und sie aus seinem Haus entlassen.
2Wenn sie dann aus seinem Hause gegangen ist und hingeht und wird eines andern Weib,
3und der andere ihr auch gram wird und einen Scheidebrief schreibt und ihr in die Hand gibt und sie aus seinem Hause läßt, oder so der andere Mann stirbt, der sie zum Weibe genommen hatte:
4so kann sie ihr erster Mann, der sie entließ, nicht wiederum nehmen, daß sie sein Weib sei, nachdem sie unrein ist, den solches ist ein Greuel vor dem HERRN, auf daß du nicht eine Sünde über das Land bringst, das dir der HERR, dein Gott, zum Erbe gegeben hat.
5Wenn jemand kurz zuvor ein Weib genommen hat, der soll nicht in die Heerfahrt ziehen, und man soll ihm nichts auflegen. Er soll frei in seinem Hause sein ein Jahr lang, daß er fröhlich sei mit seinem Weibe, das er genommen hat.
6Du sollst nicht zum Pfande nehmen den unteren und den oberen Mühlstein; denn damit hättest du das Leben zum Pfand genommen.
7Wenn jemand gefunden wird, der aus seinen Brüdern, aus den Kindern Israel, eine Seele stiehlt, und versetzt oder verkauft sie: solcher Dieb soll sterben, daß du das Böse von dir tust.
8Hüte dich bei der Plage des Aussatzes, daß du mit Fleiß haltest und tust alles, was dich die Priester, die Leviten, lehren; wie ich ihnen geboten habe, so sollt ihr's halten und darnach tun.
9Bedenke, was der HERR, dein Gott, tat mit Mirjam auf dem Wege, da ihr aus Ägypten zoget.
10Wenn du deinem Nächsten irgend eine Schuld borgst, so sollst du nicht in sein Haus gehen und ihm ein Pfand nehmen,
11sondern du sollst außen stehen, und er, dem du borgst, soll sein Pfand zu dir herausbringen.
12Ist er aber ein Dürftiger, so sollst du dich nicht schlafen legen über seinem Pfand,
13sondern sollst ihm sein Pfand wiedergeben, wenn die Sonne untergeht, daß er in seinem Kleide schlafe und segne dich. Das wird dir vor dem HERRN, deinem Gott, eine Gerechtigkeit sein.
14Du sollst dem Dürftigen und Armen seinen Lohn nicht vorenthalten, er sei von deinen Brüdern oder den Fremdlingen, die in deinem Lande und in deinen Toren sind,
15sondern sollst ihm seinen Lohn des Tages geben, daß die Sonne nicht darüber untergehe (denn er ist dürftig und erhält seine Seele damit), auf daß er nicht wider dich den HERRN anrufe und es dir Sünde sei.
16Die Väter sollen nicht für die Kinder noch die Kinder für die Väter sterben, sondern ein jeglicher soll für seine Sünde sterben.
17Du sollst das Recht des Fremdlings und des Waisen nicht beugen und sollst der Witwe nicht das Kleid zum Pfand nehmen.
18Denn du sollst gedenken, daß du Knecht in Ägypten gewesen bist und der HERR, dein Gott, dich von dort erlöst hat; darum gebiete ich dir, daß du solches tust.
19Wenn du auf deinem Acker geerntet und eine Garbe vergessen hast auf dem Acker, so sollst du nicht umkehren, dieselbe zu holen, sondern sie soll des Fremdlings, des Waisen und der Witwe sein, auf daß dich der HERR, dein Gott, segne in allen Werken deiner Hände.
20Wenn du deine Ölbäume hast geschüttelt, so sollst du nicht nachschütteln; es soll des Fremdlings, des Waisen und der Witwe sein.
21Wenn du deinen Weinberg gelesen hast, so sollst du nicht nachlesen; es soll des Fremdlings, des Waisen und der Witwe sein.
22Und sollst gedenken, daß du Knecht in Ägyptenland gewesen bist; darum gebiete ich dir, daß du solches tust.

1CUANDO alguno tomare mujer y se casare con ella, si no le agradare por haber hallado en ella alguna cosa torpe, le escribirá carta de repudio, y se la entregará en su mano, y despedirála de su casa.
2Y salida de su casa, podrá ir y casarse con otro hombre.
3Y si la aborreciere aqueste último, y le escribiere carta de repudio, y se la entregare en su mano, y la despidiere de su casa; ó si muriere el postrer hombre que la tomó para sí por mujer,
4No podrá su primer marido, que la despidió, volverla á tomar para que sea su mujer, después que fué amancillada; porque es abominación delante de Jehová, y no has de pervertir la tierra que Jehová tu Dios te da por heredad.
5Cuando tomare alguno mujer nueva, no saldrá á la guerra, ni en ninguna cosa se le ocupará; libre estará en su casa por un año, para alegrar á su mujer que tomó.
6No tomarás en prenda la muela de molino, ni la de abajo ni la de arriba: porque sería prendar la vida.
7Cuando fuere hallado alguno que haya hurtado persona de sus hermanos los hijos de Israel, y hubiere mercadeado con ella, ó la hubiere vendido, el tal ladrón morirá, y quitarás el mal de en medio de ti.
8Guárdate de llaga de lepra, observando diligentemente, y haciendo según todo lo que os enseñaren los sacerdotes Levitas: cuidaréis de hacer como les he mandado.
9Acuérdate de lo que hizo Jehová tu Dios á María en el camino, después que salisteis de Egipto.
10Cuando dieres á tu prójimo alguna cosa emprestada, no entrarás en su casa para tomarle prenda:
11Fuera estarás, y el hombre á quien prestaste, te sacará afuera la prenda.
12Y si fuere hombre pobre, no duermas con su prenda:
13Precisamente le devolverás la prenda cuando el sol se ponga, para que duerma en su ropa, y te bendiga: y te será justicia delante de Jehová tu Dios.
14No hagas agravio al jornalero pobre y menesteroso, así de tus hermanos como de tus extranjeros que están en tu tierra en tus ciudades:
15En su día le darás su jornal, y no se pondrá el sol sin dárselo: pues es pobre, y con él sustenta su vida: porque no clame contra ti á Jehová, y sea en ti pecado.
16Los padres no morirán por los hijos, ni los hijos por los padres; cada uno morirá por su pecado.
17No torcerás el derecho del peregrino y del huérfano; ni tomarás por prenda la ropa de la viuda:
18Mas acuérdate que fuiste siervo en Egipto, y de allí te rescató Jehová tu Dios: por tanto, yo te mando que hagas esto.
19Cuando segares tu mies en tu campo, y olvidares alguna gavilla en el campo, no volverás á tomarla: para el extranjero, para el huérfano, y para la viuda será; porque te bendiga Jehová tu Dios en toda obra de tus manos.
20Cuando sacudieres tus olivas, no recorrerás las ramas tras ti: para el extranjero, para el huérfano, y para la viuda será.
21Cuando vendimiares tu viña, no rebuscarás tras ti: para el extranjero, para el huérfano, y para la viuda será.
22Y acuérdate que fuiste siervo en tierra de Egipto: por tanto, yo te mando que hagas esto.

1When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house.
2And when she is departed out of his house, she may go and be another man’s wife.
3And if the latter husband hate her, and write her a bill of divorcement, and giveth it in her hand, and sendeth her out of his house; or if the latter husband die, which took her to be his wife;
4Her former husband, which sent her away, may not take her again to be his wife, after that she is defiled; for that is abomination before the LORD: and thou shalt not cause the land to sin, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance.
5When a man hath taken a new wife, he shall not go out to war, neither shall he be charged with any business: but he shall be free at home one year, and shall cheer up his wife which he hath taken.
6No man shall take the nether or the upper millstone to pledge: for he taketh a man’s life to pledge.
7If a man be found stealing any of his brethren of the children of Israel, and maketh merchandise of him, or selleth him; then that thief shall die; and thou shalt put evil away from among you.
8Take heed in the plague of leprosy, that thou observe diligently, and do according to all that the priests the Levites shall teach you: as I commanded them, so ye shall observe to do.
9Remember what the LORD thy God did unto Miriam by the way, after that ye were come forth out of Egypt.
10When thou dost lend thy brother any thing, thou shalt not go into his house to fetch his pledge.
11Thou shalt stand abroad, and the man to whom thou dost lend shall bring out the pledge abroad unto thee.
12And if the man be poor, thou shalt not sleep with his pledge:
13In any case thou shalt deliver him the pledge again when the sun goeth down, that he may sleep in his own raiment, and bless thee: and it shall be righteousness unto thee before the LORD thy God.
14Thou shalt not oppress an hired servant that is poor and needy, whether he be of thy brethren, or of thy strangers that are in thy land within thy gates:
15At his day thou shalt give him his hire, neither shall the sun go down upon it; for he is poor, and setteth his heart upon it: lest he cry against thee unto the LORD, and it be sin unto thee.
16The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin.
17Thou shalt not pervert the judgment of the stranger, nor of the fatherless; nor take a widow’s raiment to pledge:
18But thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in Egypt, and the LORD thy God redeemed thee thence: therefore I command thee to do this thing.
19When thou cuttest down thine harvest in thy field, and hast forgot a sheaf in the field, thou shalt not go again to fetch it: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow: that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hands.
20When thou beatest thine olive tree, thou shalt not go over the boughs again: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow.
21When thou gatherest the grapes of thy vineyard, thou shalt not glean it afterward: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow.
22And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in the land of Egypt: therefore I command thee to do this thing.
World English Bible
1When a man takes a wife and marries her, then it shall be, if she finds no favor in his eyes because he has found some unseemly thing in her, that he shall write her a certificate of divorce, put it in her hand, and send her out of his house.
2When she has departed out of his house, she may go and be another man’s wife.
3If the latter husband hates her, and writes her a certificate of divorce, puts it in her hand, and sends her out of his house; or if the latter husband dies, who took her to be his wife;
4her former husband, who sent her away, may not take her again to be his wife after she is defiled; for that would be an abomination to the LORD. You shall not cause the land to sin, which the LORD your God gives you for an inheritance.
5When a man takes a new wife, he shall not go out in the army, neither shall he be assigned any business. He shall be free at home one year, and shall cheer his wife whom he has taken.
6No man shall take the mill or the upper millstone as a pledge, for he takes a life in pledge.
7If a man is found stealing any of his brothers of the children of Israel, and he deals with him as a slave, or sells him, then that thief shall die. So you shall remove the evil from among you.
8Be careful in the plague of leprosy, that you observe diligently and do according to all that the Levitical priests teach you. As I commanded them, so you shall observe to do.
9Remember what the LORD your God did to Miriam, by the way as you came out of Egypt.
10When you lend your neighbor any kind of loan, you shall not go into his house to get his pledge.
11You shall stand outside, and the man to whom you lend shall bring the pledge outside to you.
12If he is a poor man, you shall not sleep with his pledge.
13You shall surely restore to him the pledge when the sun goes down, that he may sleep in his garment and bless you. It shall be righteousness to you before the LORD your God.
14You shall not oppress a hired servant who is poor and needy, whether he is one of your brothers or one of the foreigners who are in your land within your gates.
15In his day you shall give him his wages, neither shall the sun go down on it, for he is poor and sets his heart on it, lest he cry against you to the LORD, and it be sin to you.
16The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers. Every man shall be put to death for his own sin.
17You shall not deprive the foreigner or the fatherless of justice, nor take a widow’s clothing in pledge;
18but you shall remember that you were a slave in Egypt, and the LORD your God redeemed you there. Therefore I command you to do this thing.
19When you reap your harvest in your field, and have forgotten a sheaf in the field, you shall not go again to get it. It shall be for the foreigner, for the fatherless, and for the widow, that the LORD your God may bless you in all the work of your hands.
20When you beat your olive tree, you shall not go over the boughs again. It shall be for the foreigner, for the fatherless, and for the widow.
21When you harvest your vineyard, you shall not glean it after yourselves. It shall be for the foreigner, for the fatherless, and for the widow.
22You shall remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt. Therefore I command you to do this thing.
