Deuteronomio 28

Pero si oyeres la voz del Señor tu Dios, practicando y guardando todos sus mandamientos que yo te prescribo hoy, el Señor Dios tuyo te ensalzará sobre todas las naciones que pueblan la tierra.

Y SERÁ que, si oyeres diligente la voz de Jehová tu Dios, para guardar, para poner por obra todos sus mandamientos que yo te prescribo hoy, también Jehová tu Dios te pondrá alto sobre todas las gentes de la tierra;

And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:

It shall happen, if you shall listen diligently to the LORD your God’s voice, to observe to do all his commandments which I command you today, that the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth.

Y vendrán sobre ti y te alcanzarán todas estas bendiciones con tal que obedezcas sus preceptos.

Y vendrán sobre ti todas estas bendiciones, y te alcanzarán, cuando oyeres la voz de Jehová tu Dios.

And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.

All these blessings will come upon you, and overtake you, if you listen to the LORD your God’s voice.

Bendito serás en la ciudad, y bendito en el campo.

Bendito serás tú en la ciudad, y bendito tú en el campo.

Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.

You shall be blessed in the city, and you shall be blessed in the field.

Bendito el fruto de tu vientre y benditos los frutos de tu tierra, y benditas las crías de tus jumentos, las majadas de tus vacas, y los apriscos de tus ovejas.

Bendito el fruto de tu vientre, y el fruto de tu bestia, la cría de tus vacas, y los rebaños de tus ovejas.

Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.

You shall be blessed in the fruit of your body, the fruit of your ground, the fruit of your animals, the increase of your livestock, and the young of your flock.

Benditos tus graneros, y benditos los repuestos de tus frutos.

Bendito tu canastillo y tus sobras.

Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store.

Your basket and your kneading trough shall be blessed.

Bendito serás en todas tus acciones desde el principio hasta el fin.

Bendito serás en tu entrar, y bendito en tu salir.

Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.

You shall be blessed when you come in, and you shall be blessed when you go out.

El Señor pondrá derribados a tus pies los enemigos que se levantaren contra ti: por un camino vendrán a acometerte, y por siete huirán de tu vista.

Pondrá Jehová á tus enemigos que se levantaren contra ti, de rota batida delante de ti: por un camino saldrán á ti, por siete caminos huirán delante de ti.

The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.

The LORD will cause your enemies who rise up against you to be struck before you. They will come out against you one way, and will flee before you seven ways.

Echará el Señor su bendición sobre tus graneros, y sobre todo aquello en que pongas tu mano; te bendecirá en la tierra que de él habrás recibido.

Enviará Jehová contigo la bendición en tus graneros, y en todo aquello en que pusieres tu mano; y te bendecirá en la tierra que Jehová tu Dios te da.

The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

The LORD will command the blessing on you in your barns, and in all that you put your hand to. He will bless you in the land which the LORD your God gives you.

El Señor te constituirá por pueblo santo suyo, conforme te lo ha jurado; con tal que observes los mandamientos de tu Señor Dios, y sigas sus caminos.

Confirmarte ha Jehová por pueblo suyo santo, como te ha jurado, cuando guardares los mandamientos de Jehová tu Dios, y anduvieres en sus caminos.

The LORD shall establish thee an holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, and walk in his ways.

The LORD will establish you for a holy people to himself, as he has sworn to you, if you shall keep the commandments of the LORD your God, and walk in his ways.

Y verán todos los pueblos de la tierra que eres llamado con verdad Pueblo de Dios; y te respetarán.

Y verán todos los pueblos de la tierra que el nombre de Jehová es llamado sobre ti, y te temerán.

And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the LORD; and they shall be afraid of thee.

All the peoples of the earth shall see that you are called by the LORD’s name, and they will be afraid of you.

El Señor te colmará de todos los bienes, multiplicando el fruto de tu vientre, el fruto de tus ganados y el fruto de tu tierra, la cual prometió el Señor con juramento a tus padres que te la daría.

Y te hará Jehová sobreabundar en bienes, en el fruto de tu vientre, y en el fruto de tu bestia, y en el fruto de tu tierra, en el país que juró Jehová á tus padres que te había de dar.

And the LORD shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers to give thee.

The LORD will grant you abundant prosperity in the fruit of your body, in the fruit of your livestock, and in the fruit of your ground, in the land which the LORD swore to your fathers to give you.

Abrirá el Señor su tesoro riquísimo, a saber, el cielo para dar las lluvias a tu tierra en sus tiempos, y echará la bendición sobre todas las obras de tus manos. De suerte que tú prestarás a muchas gentes, y de nadie tomarás prestado.

Abrirte ha Jehová su buen depósito, el cielo, para dar lluvia á tu tierra en su tiempo, y para bendecir toda obra de tus manos. Y prestarás á muchas gentes, y tú no tomarás emprestado.

The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.

The LORD will open to you his good treasure in the sky, to give the rain of your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. You will lend to many nations, and you will not borrow.

El Señor te pondrá siempre a la cabeza de los pueblos, y no detrás de ellos, y estarás siempre encima, y no debajo; con tal que obedez-cas los mandamientos del Señor Dios tuyo, que te prescribo yo en este día, y los guardes y cumplas,

Y te pondrá Jehová por cabeza, y no por cola: y estarás encima solamente, y no estarás debajo; cuando obedecieres á los mandamientos de Jehová tu Dios, que yo te ordeno hoy, para que los guardes y cumplas.

And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:

The LORD will make you the head, and not the tail. You will be above only, and you will not be beneath, if you listen to the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you today, to observe and to do,

sin desviarte de ellos ni a la diestra ni a la siniestra, y no sigas ni adores dioses ajenos.

Y no te apartes de todas las palabras que yo os mando hoy, ni á diestra ni á siniestra, para ir tras dioses ajenos para servirles.

And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.

and shall not turn away from any of the words which I command you today, to the right hand or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.

Pero si no quisieres escuchar la voz de tu Señor Dios, observando y practicando todos sus mandamientos y las ceremonias que hoy te prescribo, vendrán sobre ti, y te alcanzarán todas estas maldiciones.

Y será, si no oyeres la voz de Jehová tu Dios, para cuidar de poner por obra todos sus mandamientos y sus estatutos, que yo te intimo hoy, que vendrán sobre ti todas estas maldiciones, y te alcanzarán.

But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:

But it shall come to pass, if you will not listen to the LORD your God’s voice, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command you today, that all these curses will come on you and overtake you.

Maldito serás en la ciudad, y maldito en el campo.

Maldito serás tu en la ciudad, y maldito en el campo.

Cursed shalt thou be in the city, and cursed shalt thou be in the field.

You will be cursed in the city, and you will be cursed in the field.

Maldito tu granero, y malditos tus repuestos de frutos.

Maldito tu canastillo, y tus sobras.

Cursed shall be thy basket and thy store.

Maldito el fruto de tu vientre, y los frutos de tu tierra, tus vacadas, y los rebaños de tus ovejas.

Maldito el fruto de tu vientre, y el fruto de tu tierra, y la cría de tus vacas, y los rebaños de tus ovejas.

Cursed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy land, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.

The fruit of your body, the fruit of your ground, the increase of your livestock, and the young of your flock will be cursed.

Maldito serás en todas tus acciones desde el principio hasta el fin de ellas.

Maldito serás en tu entrar, y maldito en tu salir.

Cursed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and cursed shalt thou be when thou goest out.

You will be cursed when you come in, and you will be cursed when you go out.

Enviará el Señor sobre ti hambre y necesidad, y echará la maldición sobre cuanto obrares y pusieres tus manos; hasta desmenuzarte y acabar contigo en poco tiempo, por causa de tus perversísimas acciones, por las cuales le habrás abandonado.

Y Jehová enviará contra ti la maldición, quebranto y asombro en todo cuanto pusieres mano é hicieres, hasta que seas destruído, y perezcas presto á causa de la maldad de tus obras, por las cuales me habrás dejado.

The LORD shall send upon thee cursing, vexation, and rebuke, in all that thou settest thine hand unto for to do, until thou be destroyed, and until thou perish quickly; because of the wickedness of thy doings, whereby thou hast forsaken me.

The LORD will send on you cursing, confusion, and rebuke in all that you put your hand to do, until you are destroyed and until you perish quickly, because of the evil of your doings, by which you have forsaken me.

Hará el Señor que se te pegue la peste, hasta que acabe contigo, en la tierra en cuya posesión entrarás.

Jehová hará que se te pegue mortandad, hasta que te consuma de la tierra á la cual entras para poseerla.

The LORD shall make the pestilence cleave unto thee, until he have consumed thee from off the land, whither thou goest to possess it.

The LORD will make the pestilence cling to you, until he has consumed you from off the land where you go in to possess it.

El Señor te castigará con la carestía, con la calentura y el frío, con el ardor y la sequedad, con la corrupción del aire y la langosta, y te perseguirá hasta que perezcas.

Jehová te herirá de tisis, y de fiebre, y de ardor, y de calor, y de cuchillo, y de calamidad repentina, y con añublo; y perseguirte han hasta que perezcas.

The LORD shall smite thee with a consumption, and with a fever, and with an inflammation, and with an extreme burning, and with the sword, and with blasting, and with mildew; and they shall pursue thee until thou perish.

The LORD will strike you with consumption, with fever, with inflammation, with fiery heat, with the sword, with blight, and with mildew. They will pursue you until you perish.

Se volverá de bronce el cielo que te cubre, y de hierro la tierra que pisas.

Y tus cielos que están sobre tu cabeza, serán de metal; y la tierra que está debajo de ti, de hierro.

And thy heaven that is over thy head shall be brass, and the earth that is under thee shall be iron.

Your sky that is over your head will be bronze, and the earth that is under you will be iron.

El Señor dará a tu tierra polvo en vez de lluvia, y descenderá del cielo ceniza sobre ti, hasta que quedes reducido a la nada.

Dará Jehová por lluvia á tu tierra polvo y ceniza: de los cielos descenderán sobre ti hasta que perezcas.

The LORD shall make the rain of thy land powder and dust: from heaven shall it come down upon thee, until thou be destroyed.

The LORD will make the rain of your land powder and dust. It will come down on you from the sky, until you are destroyed.

El Señor te hará caer postrado a los pies de tus enemigos. Por un camino irás a pelear contra ellos, y no hallarás bastantes sendas por donde huir; y serás dispersado por todos los reinos de la tierra.

Jehová te entregará herido delante de tus enemigos: por un camino saldrás á ellos, y por siete caminos huirás delante de ellos: y serás sacudido á todos los reinos de la tierra.

The LORD shall cause thee to be smitten before thine enemies: thou shalt go out one way against them, and flee seven ways before them: and shalt be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth.

The LORD will cause you to be struck before your enemies. You will go out one way against them, and will flee seven ways before them. You will be tossed back and forth among all the kingdoms of the earth.

Tus cadáveres servirán de pasto a todas las aves del cielo y bestias de la tierra sin que nadie cuide de ahuyentarlas.

Y será tu cuerpo muerto por comida á toda ave del cielo y bestia de la tierra, y no habrá quien las espante.

And thy carcase shall be meat unto all fowls of the air, and unto the beasts of the earth, and no man shall fray them away.

Your dead bodies will be food to all birds of the sky, and to the animals of the earth; and there will be no one to frighten them away.

Te herirá el Señor con las úlceras y plagas de Egipto, y también con sarna y comezón; de tal manera que no tengas cura.

Jehová te herirá de la plaga de Egipto, y con almorranas, y con sarna, y con comezón, de que no puedas ser curado.

The LORD will smite thee with the botch of Egypt, and with the emerods, and with the scab, and with the itch, whereof thou canst not be healed.

The LORD will strike you with the boils of Egypt, with the tumors, with the scurvy, and with the itch, of which you can not be healed.

Te castigará el Señor con la locura o delirio, con la ceguedad y confusión;

Jehová te herirá con locura, y con ceguedad, y con pasmo de corazón.

The LORD shall smite thee with madness, and blindness, and astonishment of heart:

The LORD will strike you with madness, with blindness, and with astonishment of heart.

de suerte que andarás a tientas en medio del día como suele andar un ciego rodeado de tinieblas; y así no acertarás en ninguna cosa que emprendas. Y en todo tiempo tendrás que sufrir calumnias, y serás oprimido por la fuerza sin tener quien te libre.

Y palparás al mediodía, como palpa el ciego en la oscuridad, y no serás prosperado en tus caminos: y nunca serás sino oprimido y robado todos los días, y no habrá quien te salve.

And thou shalt grope at noonday, as the blind gropeth in darkness, and thou shalt not prosper in thy ways: and thou shalt be only oppressed and spoiled evermore, and no man shall save thee.

You will grope at noonday, as the blind gropes in darkness, and you shall not prosper in your ways. You will only be oppressed and robbed always, and there will be no one to save you.

Tomarás mujer, y otro la gozará. Edificarás casa, y no la podrás habitar. Plantarás viña, y no la vendimiarás.

Te desposarás con mujer, y otro varón dormirá con ella; edificarás casa, y no habitarás en ella; plantarás viña, y no la vendimiarás.

Thou shalt betroth a wife, and another man shall lie with her: thou shalt build an house, and thou shalt not dwell therein: thou shalt plant a vineyard, and shalt not gather the grapes thereof.

You will betroth a wife, and another man shall lie with her. You will build a house, and you won’t dwell in it. You will plant a vineyard, and not use its fruit.

Será degollado tu buey delante de ti, y no comerás de él. A tus ojos será robado tu asno, y no te lo restituirán; tus ovejas serán dadas a tus enemigos, sin que haya quien te valga.

Tu buey será matado delante de tus ojos, y tú no comerás de él; tu asno será arrebatado de delante de ti, y no se te volverá; tus ovejas serán dadas á tus enemigos, y no tendrás quien te las rescate.

Thine ox shall be slain before thine eyes, and thou shalt not eat thereof: thine ass shall be violently taken away from before thy face, and shall not be restored to thee: thy sheep shall be given unto thine enemies, and thou shalt have none to rescue them.

Your ox will be slain before your eyes, and you will not eat any of it. Your donkey will be violently taken away from before your face, and will not be restored to you. Your sheep will be given to your enemies, and you will have no one to save you.

Tus hijos y tus hijas serán entregados a pueblo extraño, viéndolo tus ojos y consumiéndose con la continua vista de su miseria, sin haber fuerza en tu mano para librarlos.

Tus hijos y tus hijas serán entregados á otro pueblo, y tus ojos lo verán, y desfallecerán por ellos todo el día: y no habrá fuerza en tu mano.

Thy sons and thy daughters shall be given unto another people, and thine eyes shall look, and fail with longing for them all the day long: and there shall be no might in thine hand.

Your sons and your daughters will be given to another people. Your eyes will look and fail with longing for them all day long. There will be no power in your hand.

Los frutos de tu tierra y de todas tus fatigas se los comerá un pueblo desconocido para ti; y estarás sufriendo continuamente calumnias y abrumado todos los días

El fruto de tu tierra y todo tu trabajo comerá pueblo que no conociste; y nunca serás sino oprimido y quebrantado todos los días.

The fruit of thy land, and all thy labours, shall a nation which thou knowest not eat up; and thou shalt be only oppressed and crushed alway:

A nation which you don’t know will eat the fruit of your ground and all of your work. You will only be oppressed and crushed always,

y quedarás despavorido por el terror de las cosas que verán tus ojos.

Y enloquecerás á causa de lo que verás con tus ojos.

So that thou shalt be mad for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see.

so that the sights that you see with your eyes will drive you mad.

Te herirá el Señor con úlceras malignísimas en las rodillas y en las pantorrillas, y de un mal incurable desde la planta del pie hasta la coronilla.

Herirte ha Jehová con maligna pústula en las rodillas y en las piernas, sin que puedas ser curado: aun desde la planta de tu pie hasta tu mollera.

The LORD shall smite thee in the knees, and in the legs, with a sore botch that cannot be healed, from the sole of thy foot unto the top of thy head.

The LORD will strike you in the knees and in the legs with a sore boil, of which you cannot be healed, from the sole of your foot to the crown of your head.

El Señor te transportará con tu rey, que habrás establecido sobre ti, a una nación que ni conoces tú, ni tus padres, en donde servirás a dioses extraños, al leño y a la piedra.

Jehová llevará á ti, y á tu rey que hubieres puesto sobre ti, á gente que no conociste tú ni tus padres; y allá servirás á dioses ajenos, al palo y á la piedra.

The LORD shall bring thee, and thy king which thou shalt set over thee, unto a nation which neither thou nor thy fathers have known; and there shalt thou serve other gods, wood and stone.

The LORD will bring you, and your king whom you will set over yourselves, to a nation that you have not known, you nor your fathers. There you will serve other gods of wood and stone.

Y andarás perdido, siendo el juguete y la fábula de todos los pueblos a donde te llevará el Señor.

Y serás por pasmo, por ejemplo y por fábula, á todos los pueblos á los cuales te llevará Jehová.

And thou shalt become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword, among all nations whither the LORD shall lead thee.

You will become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword among all the peoples where the LORD will lead you away.

Echarás mucha simiente en la tierra y cogerás poco; porque las langostas lo devorarán todo.

Sacarás mucha simiente al campo, y cogerás poco; porque la langosta lo consumirá.

Thou shalt carry much seed out into the field, and shalt gather but little in; for the locust shall consume it.

You will carry much seed out into the field, and will gather little in, for the locust will consume it.

Plantarás una viña, y la cavarás; mas no beberás vino, ni cogerás nada de ella; porque los gusanos la roerán.

Plantarás viñas y labrarás, mas no beberás vino, ni cogerás uvas; porque el gusano las comerá.

Thou shalt plant vineyards, and dress them, but shalt neither drink of the wine, nor gather the grapes; for the worms shall eat them.

You will plant vineyards and dress them, but you will neither drink of the wine, nor harvest, because worms will eat them.

Tendrás olivares en todos tus términos, y no te darán ni aun aceite con que ungirte, porque se caerán las aceitunas y se pudrirán.

Tendrás olivas en todo tu término, mas no te ungirás con el aceite; porque tu aceituna se caerá.

Thou shalt have olive trees throughout all thy coasts, but thou shalt not anoint thyself with the oil; for thine olive shall cast his fruit.

You will have olive trees throughout all your borders, but you won’t anoint yourself with the oil, for your olives will drop off.

Tendrás hijos e hijas, y no gozarás el placer de poseerlos, porque serán llevados cautivos.

Hijos é hijas engendrarás, y no serán para ti; porque irán en cautiverio.

Thou shalt beget sons and daughters, but thou shalt not enjoy them; for they shall go into captivity.

You will father sons and daughters, but they will not be yours, for they will go into captivity.

La langosta consumirá todos tus árboles y los frutos de tu tierra.

Toda tu arboleda y el fruto de tu tierra consumirá la langosta.

All thy trees and fruit of thy land shall the locust consume.

Locusts will consume all of your trees and the fruit of your ground.

El extranjero que vive contigo en la tierra te sobrepujará y se alzará sobre ti; y tú caerás y estarás debajo de él.

El extranjero que estará en medio de ti subirá sobre ti muy alto, y tú serás puesto muy bajo.

The stranger that is within thee shall get up above thee very high; and thou shalt come down very low.

The foreigner who is among you will mount up above you higher and higher, and you will come down lower and lower.

El te prestará y tú no podrás prestarle: él estará siempre a la cabeza, y tú ocuparás el ínfimo lugar.

El te prestará á ti, y tú no prestarás á él: él será por cabeza, y tú serás por cola.

He shall lend to thee, and thou shalt not lend to him: he shall be the head, and thou shalt be the tail.

He will lend to you, and you won’t lend to him. He will be the head, and you will be the tail.

Todas estas maldiciones caerán sobre ti, y te oprimirán hasta que del todo perezcas: porque no escuchaste la voz del Señor tu Dios, ni observaste sus mandamientos y las ceremonias que te ha ordenado.

Y vendrán sobre ti todas estas maldiciones, y te perseguirán, y te alcanzarán hasta que perezcas; por cuanto no habrás atendido á la voz de Jehová tu Dios, para guardar sus mandamientos y sus estatutos, que él te mandó:

Moreover all these curses shall come upon thee, and shall pursue thee, and overtake thee, till thou be destroyed; because thou hearkenedst not unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded thee:

All these curses will come on you, and will pursue you and overtake you, until you are destroyed, because you didn’t listen to the LORD your God’s voice, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded you.

Y así en ti como en tu descendencia estarán viéndose siempre señales y prodigios de la cólera de Dios,

Y serán en ti por señal y por maravilla, y en tu simiente para siempre.

And they shall be upon thee for a sign and for a wonder, and upon thy seed for ever.

They will be for a sign and for a wonder to you and to your offspring forever.

por no haber servido al Señor Dios tuyo con gozo y alegría de corazón, habiéndote colmado de toda suerte de bienes.

Por cuanto no serviste á Jehová tu Dios con alegría y con gozo de corazón, por la abundancia de todas las cosas;

Because thou servedst not the LORD thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things;

Because you didn’t serve the LORD your God with joyfulness and with gladness of heart, by reason of the abundance of all things;

Serás hecho esclavo de un enemigo que conducirá el Señor contra ti, le servirás con hambre y sed, y desnudez, y todo género de miserias; y pondrá un yugo de hierro sobre tu cerviz, hasta que te aniquile.

Servirás por tanto á tus enemigos que enviare Jehová contra ti, con hambre y con sed y con desnudez, y con falta de todas las cosas; y él pondrá yugo de hierro sobre tu cuello, hasta destruirte.

Therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies which the LORD shall send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until he have destroyed thee.

therefore you will serve your enemies whom the LORD sends against you, in hunger, in thirst, in nakedness, and in lack of all things. He will put an iron yoke on your neck until he has destroyed you.

Desde un país remoto, del cabo del mundo hará venir el Señor contra ti, con la rapidez que vuela el águila, y se echa impetuosamente sobre la presa una nación cuya lengua no podrás entender:

Jehová traerá sobre ti gente de lejos, del cabo de la tierra, que vuele como águila, gente cuya lengua no entiendas;

The LORD shall bring a nation against thee from far, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flieth; a nation whose tongue thou shalt not understand;

The LORD will bring a nation against you from far away, from the end of the earth, as the eagle flies: a nation whose language you will not understand,

gente sumamente fiera y procaz, que no tendrá respeto al anciano, ni compasión del niño;

Gente fiera de rostro, que no tendrá respeto al anciano, ni perdonará al niño:

A nation of fierce countenance, which shall not regard the person of the old, nor shew favour to the young:

a nation of fierce facial expressions, that doesn’t respect the elderly, nor show favor to the young.

y que devorará las crías de tus ganados, y los frutos de tus cosechas, de suerte que perezcas; pues no te dejará trigo, ni vino, ni aceite, ni manadas de vacas, ni rebaños de ovejas; hasta que te destruya.

Y comerá el fruto de tu bestia y el fruto de tu tierra, hasta que perezcas: y no te dejará grano, ni mosto, ni aceite, ni la cría de tus vacas, ni los rebaños de tus ovejas, hasta destruirte.

And he shall eat the fruit of thy cattle, and the fruit of thy land, until thou be destroyed: which also shall not leave thee either corn, wine, or oil, or the increase of thy kine, or flocks of thy sheep, until he have destroyed thee.

They will eat the fruit of your livestock and the fruit of your ground, until you are destroyed. They also won’t leave you grain, new wine, oil, the increase of your livestock, or the young of your flock, until they have caused you to perish.

y aniquile enteramente en todas tus ciudades, y queden arruinados en toda tu tierra esos altos y fuertes muros en que ponías tu confianza. Quedarás sitiado dentro de las ciudades en todo el país que te dará el Señor Dios tuyo;

Y te pondrá cerco en todas tus ciudades, hasta que caigan tus muros altos y encastillados en que tú confías, en toda tu tierra: te cercará, pues, en todas tus ciudades y en toda tu tierra, que Jehová tu Dios te habrá dado.

And he shall besiege thee in all thy gates, until thy high and fenced walls come down, wherein thou trustedst, throughout all thy land: and he shall besiege thee in all thy gates throughout all thy land, which the LORD thy God hath given thee.

They will besiege you in all your gates until your high and fortified walls in which you trusted come down throughout all your land. They will besiege you in all your gates throughout all your land which the LORD your God has given you.

y llegarás al extremo de comer el fruto de tu vientre, la carne de tus hijos y de tus hijas que te hubiere dado el Señor Dios, por la estrechura y desolación a que te reducirá tu enemigo.

Y comerás el fruto de tu vientre, la carne de tus hijos y de tus hijas que Jehová tu Dios te dió, en el cerco y en el apuro con que te angustiará tu enemigo.

And thou shalt eat the fruit of thine own body, the flesh of thy sons and of thy daughters, which the LORD thy God hath given thee, in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemies shall distress thee:

You will eat the fruit of your own body, the flesh of your sons and of your daughters, whom the LORD your God has given you, in the siege and in the distress with which your enemies will distress you.

El hombre más delicado y más regalón de tu pueblo, mirará mal a su hermano, y a su esposa misma que duerme en su seno,

El hombre tierno en ti, y el muy delicado, su ojo será maligno para con su hermano, y para con la mujer de su seno, y para con el resto de sus hijos que le quedaren;

So that the man that is tender among you, and very delicate, his eye shall be evil toward his brother, and toward the wife of his bosom, and toward the remnant of his children which he shall leave:

The man who is tender among you, and very delicate, his eye will be evil toward his brother, toward the wife whom he loves, and toward the remnant of his children whom he has remaining,

para no darles de la carne de sus hijos, que comerá por no hallar otra cosa durante el sitio, y en la necesidad extrema con que te aniquilarán tus enemigos dentro de todas tus ciudades.

Para no dar á alguno de ellos de la carne de sus hijos, que él comerá, porque nada le habrá quedado, en el cerco y en el apuro con que tu enemigo te oprimirá en todas tus ciudades.

So that he will not give to any of them of the flesh of his children whom he shall eat: because he hath nothing left him in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemies shall distress thee in all thy gates.

La mujer tierna y delicada, que no sabía dar un paso, ni asentar la planta del pie sobre la tierra por su demasiada delicadeza y sensibilidad, no querrá dar a su mismo amado esposo parte de las carnes del hijo y de la hija,

La tierna y la delicada entre vosotros, que nunca la planta de su pie probó á sentar sobre la tierra, de ternura y delicadeza, su ojo será maligno para con el marido de su seno, y para con su hijo, y para con su hija,

The tender and delicate woman among you, which would not adventure to set the sole of her foot upon the ground for delicateness and tenderness, her eye shall be evil toward the husband of her bosom, and toward her son, and toward her daughter,

ni de las secundinas, o masa inmunda que sale de su vientre, ni del niño que ha nacido en aquel mismo punto: porque se comerá todo esto a escondidas, por falta de toda otra cosa con que resistir a una hambre tan cruel, durante el cerco y devastación con que te apurará tu enemigo dentro de tus ciudades.

Y para con su chiquita que sale de entre sus pies, y para con sus hijos que pariere; pues los comerá escondidamente, á falta de todo, en el cerco y en el apuro con que tu enemigo te oprimirá en tus ciudades.

And toward her young one that cometh out from between her feet, and toward her children which she shall bear: for she shall eat them for want of all things secretly in the siege and straitness, wherewith thine enemy shall distress thee in thy gates.

Si no guardares y cumplieres todas las palabras de esta ley, que van escritas en este volumen, y si no temieres aquel nombre glorioso y terrible, quiero decir, al Señor Dios tuyo,

Si no cuidares de poner por obra todas las palabras de aquesta ley que están escritas en este libro, temiendo este nombre glorioso y terrible, JEHOVÁ TU DIOS,

If thou wilt not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that thou mayest fear this glorious and fearful name, THE LORD THY GOD;

el Señor acrecentará tus plagas y las de tu descendencia, plagas grandes y permanentes, enfermedades malignas e incurables;

Jehová aumentará maravillosamente tus plagas y las plagas de tu simiente, plagas grandes y estables, y enfermedades malignas y duraderas;

Then the LORD will make thy plagues wonderful, and the plagues of thy seed, even great plagues, and of long continuance, and sore sicknesses, and of long continuance.

then the LORD will make your plagues and the plagues of your offspring fearful, even great plagues, and of long duration, and severe sicknesses, and of long duration.

y arrojará sobre ti todas las plagas de Egipto, que tanto te horrorizaron, las cuales se apegaron a ti estrechamente.

Y hará volver sobre ti todos los males de Egipto, delante de los cuales temiste, y se te pegarán.

Moreover he will bring upon thee all the diseases of Egypt, which thou wast afraid of; and they shall cleave unto thee.

He will bring on you again all the diseases of Egypt, which you were afraid of; and they will cling to you.

Además de esto enviará el Señor sobre ti todas las dolencias y llagas, que no están escritas en el libro de esta ley, hasta aniquilarte.

Asimismo toda enfermedad y toda plaga que no está escrita en el libro de esta ley, Jehová la enviará sobre ti, hasta que tú seas destruído.

Also every sickness, and every plague, which is not written in the book of this law, them will the LORD bring upon thee, until thou be destroyed.

Also every sickness and every plague which is not written in the book of this law, the LORD will bring them on you until you are destroyed.

Y quedaréis en corto número los que antes igualabais en multitud a las estrellas del cielo; porque no has obedecido, ¡oh Israel!, a la voz del Señor Dios tuyo.

Y quedaréis en poca gente, en lugar de haber sido como las estrellas del cielo en multitud; por cuanto no obedeciste á la voz de Jehová tu Dios.

And ye shall be left few in number, whereas ye were as the stars of heaven for multitude; because thou wouldest not obey the voice of the LORD thy God.

You will be left few in number, even though you were as the stars of the sky for multitude, because you didn’t listen to the LORD your God’s voice.

Y así como en otros tiempos se complació el Señor en haceros bien y multiplicaros, así se gozará en abatiros y arrastraros; para que seáis exterminados de la tierra en cuya posesión vais a entrar.

Y será que como Jehová se gozó sobre vosotros para haceros bien, y para multiplicaros, así se gozará Jehová sobre vosotros para arruinaros, y para destruiros; y seréis arrancados de sobre la tierra, á la cual entráis para poseerla.

And it shall come to pass, that as the LORD rejoiced over you to do you good, and to multiply you; so the LORD will rejoice over you to destroy you, and to bring you to nought; and ye shall be plucked from off the land whither thou goest to possess it.

It will happen that as the LORD rejoiced over you to do you good, and to multiply you, so the LORD will rejoice over you to cause you to perish and to destroy you. You will be plucked from the land that you are going in to possess.

El Señor te desparramará, ¡oh Israel!, por todos los pueblos desde un cabo del mundo al otro; y allí servirás a dioses ajenos que ni tú, ni tus padres conocisteis, a dioses de palo y de piedra.

Y Jehová te esparcirá por todos los pueblos, desde el un cabo de la tierra hasta el otro cabo de ella; y allí servirás á dioses ajenos que no conociste tú ni tus padres, al leño y á la piedra.

And the LORD shall scatter thee among all people, from the one end of the earth even unto the other; and there thou shalt serve other gods, which neither thou nor thy fathers have known, even wood and stone.

The LORD will scatter you among all peoples, from one end of the earth to the other end of the earth. There you will serve other gods which you have not known, you nor your fathers, even wood and stone.

Aun allí entre aquellas gentes no lograrás descanso, ni podrás asentar el pie, porque el Señor te dará allí un corazón espantadizo, y ojos desfallecidos, y una alma consumida de tristeza.

Y ni aun entre las mismas gentes descansarás, ni la planta de tu pie tendrá reposo; que allí te dará Jehová corazón temeroso, y caimiento de ojos, y tristeza de alma:

And among these nations shalt thou find no ease, neither shall the sole of thy foot have rest: but the LORD shall give thee there a trembling heart, and failing of eyes, and sorrow of mind:

Among these nations you will find no ease, and there will be no rest for the sole of your foot; but the LORD will give you there a trembling heart, failing of eyes, and pining of soul.

Y estará tu vida como pendiente delante de ti. Temerás de noche y de día, y no confiarás de tu vida.

Y tendrás tu vida como colgada delante de ti, y estarás temeroso de noche y de día, y no confiarás de tu vida.

And thy life shall hang in doubt before thee; and thou shalt fear day and night, and shalt have none assurance of thy life:

Your life will hang in doubt before you. You will be afraid night and day, and will have no assurance of your life.

Por la mañana dirás: ¿Quién me diera llegar a la tarde? Y por la tarde: ¿Quién me diera llegar a la mañana? Tan aterrado y despavorido estará vuestro corazón, y tan horribles serán las cosas que sucederán a vuestros ojos.

Por la mañana dirás: ¡Quién diera fuese la tarde! y á la tarde dirás: ¡Quién diera fuese la mañana! por el miedo de tu corazón con que estarás amedrentado, y por lo que verán tus ojos.

In the morning thou shalt say, Would God it were even! and at even thou shalt say, Would God it were morning! for the fear of thine heart wherewith thou shalt fear, and for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see.

In the morning you will say, “I wish it were evening!” and at evening you will say, “I wish it were morning!” for the fear of your heart which you will fear, and for the sights which your eyes will see.

El Señor te volverá a llevar en navíos a Egipto, después que te dijo que no volvieras más a ver aquel camino. Allí seréis vendidos a vuestros enemigos por esclavos, y por esclavas vuestras mujeres, y aun no habrá quien quiera compraros.

Y Jehová te hará tornar á Egipto en navíos por el camino del cual te ha dicho: Nunca más volveréis: y allí seréis vendidos á vuestros enemigos por esclavos y por esclavas, y no habrá quien os compre.

And the LORD shall bring thee into Egypt again with ships, by the way whereof I spake unto thee, Thou shalt see it no more again: and there ye shall be sold unto your enemies for bondmen and bondwomen, and no man shall buy you.

The LORD will bring you into Egypt again with ships, by the way of which I told you that you would never see it again. There you will offer yourselves to your enemies for male and female slaves, and nobody will buy you.
