1Und Mose ging hin und redete diese Worte mit dem ganzen Israel
2und sprach zu ihnen: Ich bin heute hundertundzwanzig Jahre alt; ich kann nicht mehr aus noch ein gehen; dazu hat der HERR zu mir gesagt: Du sollst nicht über diesen Jordan gehen.
3Der HERR, dein Gott, wird selber vor dir her gehen; er wird selber diese Völker vor dir her vertilgen, daß du ihr Land einnehmest. Josua, der soll vor dir hinübergehen, wie der HERR geredet hat.
4Und der HERR wird ihnen tun, wie er getan hat Sihon und Og, den Königen der Amoriter, und ihrem Lande, welche er vertilgt hat.
5Wenn sie nun der HERR vor euch dahingeben wird, so sollt ihr ihnen tun nach allem Gebot, das ich euch geboten habe.
6Seid getrost und unverzagt, fürchtet euch nicht und laßt euch nicht vor ihnen grauen; denn der HERR, dein Gott, wird selber mit dir wandeln und wird die Hand nicht abtun noch dich verlassen.
7Und Mose rief zu Josua und sprach zu ihm vor den Augen des ganzen Israel: Sei getrost und unverzagt; denn du wirst dies Volk in das Land bringen, das der HERR ihren Vätern geschworen hat ihnen zu geben, und du wirst es unter sie austeilen.
8Der HERR aber, der selber vor euch her geht, der wird mit dir sein und wird die Hand nicht abtun noch dich verlassen. Fürchte dich nicht und erschrick nicht.
9Und Mose schrieb dies Gesetz und gab's den Priestern, den Kindern Levi, die die Lade des Bundes trugen, und allen Ältesten Israels
10und gebot ihnen und sprach: Je nach sieben Jahren, zur Zeit des Erlaßjahrs, am Fest der Laubhütten,
11wenn das ganze Israel kommt, zu erscheinen vor dem HERRN, deinem Gott, an dem Ort, den er erwählen wird, sollst du dieses Gesetz vor dem ganzen Israel ausrufen lassen vor ihren Ohren,
12nämlich vor der Versammlung des Volks (der Männer, Weiber und Kinder und deines Fremdlings, der in deinem Tor ist), auf daß sie es hören und lernen den HERRN, euren Gott, fürchten und es zu halten, daß sie tun alle Worte dieses Gesetzes,
13und daß ihre Kinder, die es nicht wissen, es auch hören und lernen den HERRN, euren Gott, fürchten alle Tage, die ihr in dem Lande lebt, darein ihr gehet über den Jordan, es einzunehmen.
14Und der HERR sprach zu Mose: Siehe, deine Zeit ist herbeigekommen, daß du stirbst. Rufe Josua und tretet in die Hütte des Stifts, daß ich ihm Befehl tue. Mose ging hin mit Josua, und sie traten in die Hütte des Stifts.
15Der HERR aber erschien in der Hütte in einer Wolkensäule, und die Wolkensäule stand in der Hütte Tür.
16Und der HERR sprach zu Mose: Siehe, du wirst schlafen mit deinen Vätern; und dies Volk wird aufkommen und wird abfallen zu fremden Göttern des Landes, darein sie kommen, und wird mich verlassen und den Bund fahren lassen, den ich mit ihm gemacht habe.
17So wird mein Zorn ergrimmen über sie zur selben Zeit, und ich werde sie verlassen und mein Antlitz vor ihnen verbergen, daß sie verzehrt werden. Und wenn sie dann viel Unglück und Angst treffen wird, werden sie sagen: Hat mich nicht dies Übel alles betreten, weil mein Gott nicht mit mir ist?
18Ich aber werde mein Antlitz verbergen zu der Zeit um alles Bösen willen, das sie getan haben, daß sie sich zu andern Göttern gewandt haben.
19So schreibt euch nun dies Lied und lehret es die Kinder Israel und legt es in ihren Mund, daß mir das Lied ein Zeuge sei unter den Kindern Israel.
20Denn ich will sie in das Land bringen, das ich ihren Vätern geschworen habe, darin Milch und Honig fließt. Und wenn sie essen und satt und fett werden, so werden sie sich wenden zu andern Göttern und ihnen dienen und mich lästern und meinen Bund fahren lassen.
21Und wenn sie dann viel Unglück und Angst betreten wird, so soll dieses Lied ihnen antworten zum Zeugnis; denn es soll nicht vergessen werden aus dem Mund ihrer Nachkommen. Denn ich weiß ihre Gedanken, mit denen sie schon jetzt umgehen, ehe ich sie in das Land bringe, das ich geschworen habe.
22Also schrieb Mose dieses Lied zur selben Zeit und lehrte es die Kinder Israel.
23Und befahl Josua, dem Sohn Nuns, und sprach: Sei getrost und unverzagt; denn du sollst die Kinder Israel in das Land führen, das ich ihnen geschworen habe, und ich will mit dir sein.
24Da nun Mose die Worte dieses Gesetzes ganz ausgeschrieben hatte in ein Buch,
25gebot er den Leviten, die die Lade des Zeugnisses des HERRN trugen, und sprach:
26Nehmt das Buch dieses Gesetzes und legt es an die Seite der Lade des Bundes des HERRN, eures Gottes, daß es daselbst ein Zeuge sei wider dich.
27Denn ich kenne deinen Ungehorsam und deine Halsstarrigkeit. Siehe, wo ich noch heute mit euch lebe, seid ihr ungehorsam gewesen wider den HERRN; wie viel mehr nach meinem Tode!
28So versammelt nun vor mich alle Ältesten eurer Stämme und eure Amtleute, daß ich diese Worte vor ihren Ohren rede und Himmel und Erde wider sie zu Zeugen nehme.
29Denn ich weiß, daß ihr's nach meinem Tode verderben werdet und aus dem Wege treten, den ich euch geboten habe. So wird euch dann Unglück begegnen hernach, darum daß ihr übel getan habt vor den Augen des HERRN, daß ihr ihn erzürntet durch eurer Hände Werk.
30Also redete Mose die Worte dieses Liedes ganz aus vor den Ohren der ganzen Gemeinde Israel:

1Y FUÉ Moisés, y habló estas palabras á todo Israel,
2Y díjoles: De edad de ciento y veinte años soy hoy día; no puedo más salir ni entrar: á más de esto Jehová me ha dicho: No pasarás este Jordán.
3Jehová tu Dios, él pasa delante de ti; él destruirá estas gentes de delante de ti, y las heredarás: Josué será el que pasará delante de ti, como Jehová ha dicho.
4Y hará Jehová con ellos como hizo con Sehón y con Og, reyes de los Amorrheos, y con su tierra, que los destruyó.
5Y los entregará Jehová delante de vosotros, y haréis con ellos conforme á todo lo que os he mandado.
6Esforzaos y cobrad ánimo; no temáis, ni tengáis miedo de ellos: que Jehová tu Dios es el que va contigo: no te dejará ni te desamparará.
7Y llamó Moisés á Josué, y díjole á vista de todo Israel: Esfuérzate y anímate; porque tú entrarás con este pueblo á la tierra que juró Jehová á sus padres que les había de dar, y tú se la harás heredar.
8Y Jehová es el que va delante de ti; él será contigo, no te dejará, ni te desamparará; no temas, ni te intimides.
9Y escribió Moisés esta ley, y dióla á los sacerdotes, hijos de Leví, que llevaban el arca del pacto de Jehová, y á todos los ancianos de Israel.
10Y mandóles Moisés, diciendo: Al cabo del séptimo año, en el año de la remisión, en la fiesta de las Cabañas,
11Cuando viniere todo Israel á presentarse delante de Jehová tu Dios en el lugar que él escogiere, leerás esta ley delante de todo Israel á oídos de ellos.
12Harás congregar el pueblo, varones y mujeres y niños, y tus extranjeros que estuvieren en tus ciudades, para que oigan y aprendan, y teman á Jehová vuestro Dios, y cuiden de poner por obra todas las palabras de esta ley:
13Y los hijos de ellos que no supieron oigan, y aprendan á temer á Jehová vuestro Dios todos los días que viviereis sobre la tierra, para ir á la cual pasáis el Jordán para poseerla.
14Y Jehová dijo á Moisés: He aquí se han acercado tus días para que mueras: llama á Josué, y esperad en el tabernáculo del testimonio, y le mandaré. Fueron pues Moisés y Josué, y esperaron en el tabernáculo del testimonio.
15Y aparecióse Jehová en el tabernáculo, en la columna de nube; y la columna de nube se puso sobre la puerta del tabernáculo.
16Y Jehová dijo á Moisés: He aquí tú vas á dormir con tus padres, y este pueblo se levantará y fornicará tras los dioses ajenos de la tierra adonde va, en estando en medio de ella; y me dejará, é invalidará mi pacto que he concertado con él:
17Y mi furor se encenderá contra él en aquel día; y los abandonaré, y esconderé de ellos mi rostro, y serán consumidos; y le hallarán muchos males y angustias, y dirá en aquel día: ¿No me han hallado estos males porque no está mi Dios en medio de mí?
18Empero yo esconderé ciertamente mi rostro en aquel día, por todo el mal que ellos habrán hecho, por haberse vuelto á dioses ajenos.
19Ahora pues, escribíos este cántico, y enséñalo á los hijos de Israel: ponlo en boca de ellos, para que este cántico me sea por testigo contra los hijos de Israel.
20Porque yo le introduciré en la tierra que juré á sus padres, la cual fluye leche y miel; y comerá, y se hartará, y se engordará: y volveránse á dioses ajenos, y les servirán, y me enojarán, é invalidarán mi pacto.
21Y será que cuando le vinieren muchos males y angustias, entonces responderá en su cara este cántico como testigo, pues no caerá en olvido de la boca de su linaje: porque yo conozco su ingenio, y lo que hace hoy antes que le introduzca en la tierra que juré.
22Y Moisés escribió este cántico aquel día, y enseñólo á los hijos de Israel.
23Y dió orden á Josué hijo de Nun, y dijo: Esfuérzate y anímate, que tú meterás los hijos de Israel en la tierra que les juré, y yo seré contigo.
24Y como acabó Moisés de escribir las palabras de esta ley en un libro hasta concluirse,
25Mandó Moisés á los Levitas que llevaban el arca del pacto de Jehová, diciendo:
26Tomad este libro de la ley, y ponedlo al lado del arca del pacto de Jehová vuestro Dios, y esté allí por testigo contra ti.
27Porque yo conozco tu rebelión, y tu cerviz dura: he aquí que aun viviendo yo hoy con vosotros, sois rebeldes á Jehová; y ¿cuánto más después que yo fuere muerto?
28Congregad á mí todos los ancianos de vuestras tribus, y á vuestros oficiales, y hablaré en sus oídos estas palabras, y llamaré por testigos contra ellos los cielos y la tierra.
29Porque yo sé que después de mi muerte, ciertamente os corromperéis y os aparteréis del camino que os he mandado; y que os ha de venir mal en los postreros días, por haber hecho mal en ojos de Jehová, enojándole con la obra de vuestras manos.
30Entonces habló Moisés en oídos de toda la congregación de Israel las palabras de este cántico hasta acabarlo.

1And Moses went and spake these words unto all Israel.
2And he said unto them, I am an hundred and twenty years old this day; I can no more go out and come in: also the LORD hath said unto me, Thou shalt not go over this Jordan.
3The LORD thy God, he will go over before thee, and he will destroy these nations from before thee, and thou shalt possess them: and Joshua, he shall go over before thee, as the LORD hath said.
4And the LORD shall do unto them as he did to Sihon and to Og, kings of the Amorites, and unto the land of them, whom he destroyed.
5And the LORD shall give them up before your face, that ye may do unto them according unto all the commandments which I have commanded you.
6Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
7And Moses called unto Joshua, and said unto him in the sight of all Israel, Be strong and of a good courage: for thou must go with this people unto the land which the LORD hath sworn unto their fathers to give them; and thou shalt cause them to inherit it.
8And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.
9And Moses wrote this law, and delivered it unto the priests the sons of Levi, which bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and unto all the elders of Israel.
10And Moses commanded them, saying, At the end of every seven years, in the solemnity of the year of release, in the feast of tabernacles,
11When all Israel is come to appear before the LORD thy God in the place which he shall choose, thou shalt read this law before all Israel in their hearing.
12Gather the people together, men, and women, and children, and thy stranger that is within thy gates, that they may hear, and that they may learn, and fear the LORD your God, and observe to do all the words of this law:
13And that their children, which have not known any thing, may hear, and learn to fear the LORD your God, as long as ye live in the land whither ye go over Jordan to possess it.
14And the LORD said unto Moses, Behold, thy days approach that thou must die: call Joshua, and present yourselves in the tabernacle of the congregation, that I may give him a charge. And Moses and Joshua went, and presented themselves in the tabernacle of the congregation.
15And the LORD appeared in the tabernacle in a pillar of a cloud: and the pillar of the cloud stood over the door of the tabernacle.
16And the LORD said unto Moses, Behold, thou shalt sleep with thy fathers; and this people will rise up, and go a whoring after the gods of the strangers of the land, whither they go to be among them, and will forsake me, and break my covenant which I have made with them.
17Then my anger shall be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them, and I will hide my face from them, and they shall be devoured, and many evils and troubles shall befall them; so that they will say in that day, Are not these evils come upon us, because our God is not among us?
18And I will surely hide my face in that day for all the evils which they shall have wrought, in that they are turned unto other gods.
19Now therefore write ye this song for you, and teach it the children of Israel: put it in their mouths, that this song may be a witness for me against the children of Israel.
20For when I shall have brought them into the land which I sware unto their fathers, that floweth with milk and honey; and they shall have eaten and filled themselves, and waxen fat; then will they turn unto other gods, and serve them, and provoke me, and break my covenant.
21And it shall come to pass, when many evils and troubles are befallen them, that this song shall testify against them as a witness; for it shall not be forgotten out of the mouths of their seed: for I know their imagination which they go about, even now, before I have brought them into the land which I sware.
22Moses therefore wrote this song the same day, and taught it the children of Israel.
23And he gave Joshua the son of Nun a charge, and said, Be strong and of a good courage: for thou shalt bring the children of Israel into the land which I sware unto them: and I will be with thee.
24And it came to pass, when Moses had made an end of writing the words of this law in a book, until they were finished,
25That Moses commanded the Levites, which bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, saying,
26Take this book of the law, and put it in the side of the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, that it may be there for a witness against thee.
27For I know thy rebellion, and thy stiff neck: behold, while I am yet alive with you this day, ye have been rebellious against the LORD; and how much more after my death?
28Gather unto me all the elders of your tribes, and your officers, that I may speak these words in their ears, and call heaven and earth to record against them.
29For I know that after my death ye will utterly corrupt yourselves, and turn aside from the way which I have commanded you; and evil will befall you in the latter days; because ye will do evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger through the work of your hands.
30And Moses spake in the ears of all the congregation of Israel the words of this song, until they were ended.

1Moses went and spoke these words to all Israel.
2He said to them, “I am one hundred twenty years old today. I can no more go out and come in. The LORD has said to me, ‘You shall not go over this Jordan.’
3The LORD your God himself will go over before you. He will destroy these nations from before you, and you shall dispossess them. Joshua will go over before you, as the LORD has spoken.
4The LORD will do to them as he did to Sihon and to Og, the kings of the Amorites, and to their land, when he destroyed them.
5The LORD will deliver them up before you, and you shall do to them according to all the commandment which I have commanded you.
6Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid or scared of them, for the LORD your God himself is who goes with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you.”
7Moses called to Joshua, and said to him in the sight of all Israel, “Be strong and courageous, for you shall go with this people into the land which the LORD has sworn to their fathers to give them; and you shall cause them to inherit it.
8The LORD himself is who goes before you. He will be with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be discouraged.”
9Moses wrote this law and delivered it to the priests the sons of Levi, who bore the ark of the LORD’s covenant, and to all the elders of Israel.
10Moses commanded them, saying, “At the end of every seven years, in the set time of the year of release, in the feast of booths,
11when all Israel has come to appear before the LORD your God in the place which he will choose, you shall read this law before all Israel in their hearing.
12Assemble the people, the men and the women and the little ones, and the foreigners who are within your gates, that they may hear, learn, fear the LORD your God, and observe to do all the words of this law,
13and that their children, who have not known, may hear and learn to fear the LORD your God, as long as you live in the land where you go over the Jordan to possess it.”
14The LORD said to Moses, “Behold, your days approach that you must die. Call Joshua, and present yourselves in the Tent of Meeting, that I may commission him.” Moses and Joshua went, and presented themselves in the Tent of Meeting.
15The LORD appeared in the Tent in a pillar of cloud, and the pillar of cloud stood over the Tent’s door.
16The LORD said to Moses, “Behold, you shall sleep with your fathers. This people will rise up and play the prostitute after the strange gods of the land where they go to be among them, and will forsake me and break my covenant which I have made with them.
17Then my anger shall be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them, and I will hide my face from them, and they shall be devoured, and many evils and troubles shall come on them; so that they will say in that day, ‘Haven’t these evils come on us because our God is not among us?’
18I will surely hide my face in that day for all the evil which they have done, in that they have turned to other gods.
19“Now therefore write this song for yourselves, and teach it to the children of Israel. Put it in their mouths, that this song may be a witness for me against the children of Israel.
20For when I have brought them into the land which I swore to their fathers, flowing with milk and honey, and they have eaten and filled themselves, and grown fat, then they will turn to other gods, and serve them, and despise me, and break my covenant.
21It will happen, when many evils and troubles have come on them, that this song will testify before them as a witness; for it will not be forgotten out of the mouths of their descendants; for I know their ways and what they are doing today, before I have brought them into the land which I promised them.”
22So Moses wrote this song the same day, and taught it to the children of Israel.
23He commissioned Joshua the son of Nun, and said, “Be strong and courageous; for you shall bring the children of Israel into the land which I swore to them. I will be with you.”
24When Moses had finished writing the words of this law in a book, until they were finished,
25Moses commanded the Levites, who bore the ark of the LORD’s covenant, saying,
26“Take this book of the law, and put it by the side of the ark of the LORD your God’s covenant, that it may be there for a witness against you.
27For I know your rebellion and your stiff neck. Behold, while I am yet alive with you today, you have been rebellious against the LORD. How much more after my death?
28Assemble to me all the elders of your tribes and your officers, that I may speak these words in their ears, and call heaven and earth to witness against them.
29For I know that after my death you will utterly corrupt yourselves, and turn away from the way which I have commanded you; and evil will happen to you in the latter days, because you will do that which is evil in the LORD’s sight, to provoke him to anger through the work of your hands.”
30Moses spoke in the ears of all the assembly of Israel the words of this song, until they were finished.
