leur disant: "J'ai cent vingt ans aujourd'hui, je ne peux plus vous servir de guide; d'ailleurs, l'Éternel m'a dit: "Tu ne traverseras pas ce Jourdain."
Y díjoles: De edad de ciento y veinte años soy hoy día; no puedo más salir ni entrar: á más de esto Jehová me ha dicho: No pasarás este Jordán.
And he said unto them, I am an hundred and twenty years old this day; I can no more go out and come in: also the LORD hath said unto me, Thou shalt not go over this Jordan.

L'Éternel, ton Dieu, marche lui-même devant toi; c'est lui qui anéantira ces peuples devant toi pour que tu les dépossèdes. Josué sera ton guide, comme l'Éternel l'a déclaré.
Jehová tu Dios, él pasa delante de ti; él destruirá estas gentes de delante de ti, y las heredarás: Josué será el que pasará delante de ti, como Jehová ha dicho.
The LORD thy God, he will go over before thee, and he will destroy these nations from before thee, and thou shalt possess them: and Joshua, he shall go over before thee, as the LORD hath said.

Et le Seigneur les traitera comme il a traité Sihôn et Og, rois des Amorréens, et leur pays, qu'il a condamné à la ruine.

Esforzaos y cobrad ánimo; no temáis, ni tengáis miedo de ellos: que Jehová tu Dios es el que va contigo: no te dejará ni te desamparará.
Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

Alors Moïse appela Josué, et lui dit en présence de tout Israël: "Sois fort et vaillant! Car c'est toi qui entreras avec ce peuple dans le pays que l'Éternel a juré à leurs pères de leur donner, et c'est toi qui leur en feras le partage.
Y llamó Moisés á Josué, y díjole á vista de todo Israel: Esfuérzate y anímate; porque tú entrarás con este pueblo á la tierra que juró Jehová á sus padres que les había de dar, y tú se la harás heredar.
And Moses called unto Joshua, and said unto him in the sight of all Israel, Be strong and of a good courage: for thou must go with this people unto the land which the LORD hath sworn unto their fathers to give them; and thou shalt cause them to inherit it.

L'Éternel lui-même marchera devant toi, lui-même sera à tes côtés, il ne te laissera fléchir ni ne t'abandonnera: sois donc sans peur et sans faiblesse!"
Y Jehová es el que va delante de ti; él será contigo, no te dejará, ni te desamparará; no temas, ni te intimides.

Moïse mit par écrit cette doctrine et la confia aux pontifes, descendants de Lévi, chargés de porter l'arche d'alliance du Seigneur, et à tous les anciens d'Israël.
Y escribió Moisés esta ley, y dióla á los sacerdotes, hijos de Leví, que llevaban el arca del pacto de Jehová, y á todos los ancianos de Israel.

Gather the people together, men, and women, and children, and thy stranger that is within thy gates, that they may hear, and that they may learn, and fear the LORD your God, and observe to do all the words of this law:

et que leurs enfants, qui ne savent pas encore, entendent aussi, et qu'ils apprennent à révérer l'Éternel, votre Dieu, tant que vous vivrez sur le sol pour la possession duquel vous allez passer le Jourdain."
Y los hijos de ellos que no supieron oigan, y aprendan á temer á Jehová vuestro Dios todos los días que viviereis sobre la tierra, para ir á la cual pasáis el Jordán para poseerla.

And the LORD said unto Moses, Behold, thou shalt sleep with thy fathers; and this people will rise up, and go a whoring after the gods of the strangers of the land, whither they go to be among them, and will forsake me, and break my covenant which I have made with them.
The LORD said to Moses, “Behold, you shall sleep with your fathers. This people will rise up and play the prostitute after the strange gods of the land where they go to be among them, and will forsake me and break my covenant which I have made with them.
Ce jour-là, ma colère s'enflammera contre lui, je les abandonnerai, je leur déroberai ma face, et il deviendra la pâture de chacun, et nombre de maux et d'angoisses viendront l'assaillir. Alors il se dira: "En vérité, c'est parce que mon Dieu n'est plus au milieu de moi que je suis en butte à ces malheurs."
Y mi furor se encenderá contra él en aquel día; y los abandonaré, y esconderé de ellos mi rostro, y serán consumidos; y le hallarán muchos males y angustias, y dirá en aquel día: ¿No me han hallado estos males porque no está mi Dios en medio de mí?
Then my anger shall be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them, and I will hide my face from them, and they shall be devoured, and many evils and troubles shall befall them; so that they will say in that day, Are not these evils come upon us, because our God is not among us?

Mais alors même, je persisterai, moi, à dérober ma face, à cause du grave méfait qu'il aura commis en se tournant vers des dieux étrangers.
Empero yo esconderé ciertamente mi rostro en aquel día, por todo el mal que ellos habrán hecho, por haberse vuelto á dioses ajenos.
And I will surely hide my face in that day for all the evils which they shall have wrought, in that they are turned unto other gods.

Et maintenant, écrivez pour vous ce cantique, qu'on l'enseigne aux enfants d'Israël et qu'on le mette dans leur bouche, afin que ce cantique me serve de témoignage à l'encontre des enfants d'Israël.

Quand j'aurai introduit ce peuple dans le pays que j'ai promis par serment à ses pères et où ruissellent le lait et le miel; vivant dans l'abondance et gorgé de délices, il s'adressera à des dieux étrangers, il les servira, me témoignera du mépris et rompra mon alliance.

Vienne alors la multitude de maux et d'angoisses qui doivent l'atteindre, le présent cantique portera témoignage en face de lui (car la bouche de sa postérité ne l'oubliera point), parce que je sais ce qu'aujourd'hui déjà son penchant le porte à faire, avant même que je l'aie introduit dans la terre par moi promise!"
Y será que cuando le vinieren muchos males y angustias, entonces responderá en su cara este cántico como testigo, pues no caerá en olvido de la boca de su linaje: porque yo conozco su ingenio, y lo que hace hoy antes que le introduzca en la tierra que juré.
And it shall come to pass, when many evils and troubles are befallen them, that this song shall testify against them as a witness; for it shall not be forgotten out of the mouths of their seed: for I know their imagination which they go about, even now, before I have brought them into the land which I sware.

"Prenez ce livre de la loi et déposez-le à côté de l'arche d'alliance de l'Éternel, votre Dieu; il y restera comme un témoin contre toi.
Tomad este libro de la ley, y ponedlo al lado del arca del pacto de Jehová vuestro Dios, y esté allí por testigo contra ti.

Porque yo conozco tu rebelión, y tu cerviz dura: he aquí que aun viviendo yo hoy con vosotros, sois rebeldes á Jehová; y ¿cuánto más después que yo fuere muerto?
For I know thy rebellion, and thy stiff neck: behold, while I am yet alive with you this day, ye have been rebellious against the LORD; and how much more after my death?

Faites réunir autour de moi tous les anciens de vos tribus et vos magistrats: je veux faire parvenir ces paroles à leurs oreilles, et prendre à témoin contre eux les cieux et la terre.
Congregad á mí todos los ancianos de vuestras tribus, y á vuestros oficiales, y hablaré en sus oídos estas palabras, y llamaré por testigos contra ellos los cielos y la tierra.
