1Dies ist der Segen, damit Mose, der Mann Gottes, die Kinder Israel vor seinem Tode segnete.
2Und er sprach: Der Herr ist vom Sinai gekommen und ist ihnen aufgegangen von Seir; er ist hervorgebrochen von dem Berge Pharan und ist gekommen mit viel tausend Heiligen; zu seiner rechten Hand ist ein feuriges Gesetz an sie.
3Wie hat er die Leute so lieb! Alle seine Heiligen sind in deiner Hand; sie werden sich setzen zu deinen Füßen und werden lernen von deinen Worten.
4Mose hat uns das Gesetz geboten, das Erbe der Gemeinde Jakobs.
5Und Er ward König über Jesurun, als sich versammelten die Häupter des Volks samt den Stämmen Israels.
6Ruben lebe, und sterbe nicht, und er sei ein geringer Haufe.
7Dies ist der Segen Juda's. Und er sprach: HERR, erhöre die Stimme Juda's und mache ihn zum Regenten in seinem Volk und laß seine Macht groß werden, und ihm müsse wider seine Feinde geholfen werden.
8Und zu Levi sprach er: Deine Macht und dein Licht bleibe bei deinem heiligen Mann, den du versucht hast zu Massa, da ihr hadertet am Haderwasser.
9Wer von seinem Vater und von seiner Mutter spricht: Ich sehe ihn nicht, und von seinem Bruder: Ich kenne ihn nicht, und von seinem Sohn: Ich weiß nicht, die halten deine Rede und bewahren deinen Bund;
10die werden Jakob deine Rechte lehren und Israel dein Gesetz; die werden Räuchwerk vor deine Nase legen und ganze Opfer auf deinen Altar.
11HERR, segne sein Vermögen und laß dir gefallen die Werke seiner Hände; zerschlage den Rücken derer, die sich wider ihn auflehnen, und derer, die ihn hassen, daß sie nicht aufkommen.
12Und zu Benjamin sprach er: der Geliebte des HERRN wird sicher wohnen; allezeit wird er über ihm halten und wird zwischen seinen Schultern wohnen.
13Und zu Joseph sprach er: Sein Land liegt im Segen des HERRN: da sind edle Früchte vom Himmel, vom Tau und von der Tiefe, die unten liegt;
14da sind edle Früchte von der Sonne, und edle, reife Früchte der Monde,
15und von den hohen Bergen von alters her und von den Hügeln für und für
16und edle Früchte von der Erde und dem, was darinnen ist. Die Gnade des, der in dem Busch wohnte, komme auf das Haupt Josephs und auf den Scheitel des Geweihten unter seinen Brüdern.
17Seine Herrlichkeit ist wie eines erstgeborenen Stieres, und seine Hörner sind wie Einhornshörner; mit denselben wird er die Völker stoßen zuhauf bis an des Landes Enden. Das sind die Zehntausende Ephraims und die Tausende Manasses.
18Und zu Sebulon sprach er: Sebulon freue dich deines Auszugs; aber Isaschar, freue dich deiner Hütten.
19Sie werden die Völker auf den Berg rufen und daselbst opfern Opfer der Gerechtigkeit. Denn sie werden die Menge des Meers saugen und die versenkten Schätze im Sande.
20Und zu Gad sprach er: Gelobt sei, der Gad Raum macht! Er liegt wie ein Löwe und raubt den Arm und den Scheitel,
21und er ersah sich das Erbe, denn daselbst war ihm eines Fürsten Teil aufgehoben, und er kam mit den Obersten des Volks und vollführte die Gerechtigkeit des HERRN und seine Rechte an Israel.
22Und zu Dan sprach er: Dan ein junger Löwe, der herausspringt von Basan.
23Und zu Naphthali sprach er: Naphthali wird genug haben, was er begehrt, und wird voll Segens des HERRN sein; gegen Abend und Mittag wird sein Besitz sein.
24Und zu Asser sprach er: Asser sei gesegnet unter den Söhnen und tauche seinen Fuß in Öl.
25Eisen und Erz sei dein Riegel; dein Alter sei wie die Jugend.
26Es ist kein Gott wie der Gott Jesuruns. Der im Himmel sitzt, der sei deine Hilfe, und des Herrlichkeit in Wolken ist.
27Zuflucht ist bei dem alten Gott und unter den ewigen Armen. Und er wird vor dir her deinen Feind austreiben und sagen: Sei vertilgt!
28Israel wird sicher allein wohnen; der Brunnen Jakobs wird sein in dem Lande, da Korn und Most ist, dazu sein Himmel wird mit Tau triefen.
29Wohl dir, Israel! Wer ist dir gleich? O Volk, das du durch den HERRN selig wirst, der deiner Hilfe Schild und das Schwert deines Sieges ist! Deinen Feinden wird's fehlen; aber du wirst auf ihren Höhen einhertreten.

1Y ESTA es la bendición con la cual bendijo Moisés varón de Dios á los hijos de Israel, antes que muriese.
2Y dijo: Jehová vino de Sinaí, y de Seir les esclareció; resplandeció del monte de Parán, y vino con diez mil santos: á su diestra la ley de fuego para ellos.
3Aun amó los pueblos; todos sus santos en tu mano: ellos también se llegaron á tus pies: recibieron de tus dichos.
4Ley nos mandó Moisés, heredad á la congregación de Jacob.
5Y fué rey en Jeshurun, cuando se congregaron las cabezas del pueblo con las tribus de Israel.
6Viva Rubén, y no muera; y sean sus varones en número.
7Y esta bendición para Judá. Dijo así: Oye, oh Jehová, la voz de Judá, y llévalo á su pueblo; sus manos le basten, y tú seas ayuda contra sus enemigos.
8Y á Leví dijo: Tu Thummim y tu Urim, con tu buen varón, al cual tentaste en Massa, y le hiciste reñir en las aguas de la rencilla;
9El que dijo á su padre y á su madre: Nunca los vi: ni conoció á sus hermanos, ni conoció á sus hijos: por lo cual ellos guardarán tus palabras, y observarán tu pacto.
10Ellos enseñarán tus juicios á Jacob, y tu ley á Israel; pondrán el perfume delante de ti, y el holocausto sobre tu altar.
11Bendice, oh Jehová, lo que hicieren, y recibe con agrado la obra de sus manos: hiere los lomos de sus enemigos, y de los que le aborrecieren; para que nunca se levanten.
12Y á Benjamín dijo: El amado de Jehová habitará confiado cerca de él; cubrirálo siempre, y entre sus hombros morará.
13Y á José dijo: Bendita de Jehová su tierra, por los regalos de los cielos, por el rocío, y por el abismo que abajo yace,
14Y por los regalados frutos del sol, y por los regalos de las influencias de las lunas,
15Y por la cumbre de los montes antiguos, y por los regalos de los collados eternos,
16Y por los regalos de la tierra y su plenitud; y la gracia del que habitó en la zarza venga sobre la cabeza de José, y sobre la mollera del apartado de sus hermanos.
17El es aventajado como el primogénito de su toro, y sus cuernos, cuernos de unicornio: con ellos acorneará los pueblos juntos hasta los fines de la tierra: y estos son los diez millares de Ephraim, y estos los millares de Manasés.
18Y á Zabulón dijo: Alégrate, Zabulón, cuando salieres: y tú, Issachâr, en tus tiendas.
19Llamarán los pueblos al monte; allí sacrificarán sacrificios de justicia: por lo cual chuparán la abundancia de los mares, y los tesoros escondidos de la arena.
20Y á Gad dijo: Bendito el que hizo ensanchar á Gad: como león habitará, y arrebatará brazo y testa.
21Y él se ha provisto de la parte primera, porque allí una porción del legislador fuéle reservada, y vino en la delantera del pueblo; la justicia de Jehová ejecutará, y sus juicios con Israel.
22Y á Dan dijo: Dan, cachorro de león: saltará desde Basán.
23Y á Nephtalí dijo: Nephtalí, saciado de benevolencia, y lleno de la bendición de Jehová, posee el occidente y el mediodía.
24Y á Aser dijo: Bendito Aser en hijos: agradable será á sus hermanos, y mojará en aceite su pie.
25Hierro y metal tu calzado, y como tus días tu fortaleza.
26No hay como el Dios de Jeshurun, montado sobre los cielos para tu ayuda, y sobre las nubes con su grandeza.
27El eterno Dios es tu refugio, y acá abajo los brazos eternos; él echará de delante de ti al enemigo, y dirá: Destruye.
28E Israel, fuente de Jacob, habitará confiado solo en tierra de grano y de vino: también sus cielos destilarán rocío.
29Bienaventurado tú, oh Israel, ¿quién como tú, pueblo salvo por Jehová, escudo de tu socorro, y espada de tu excelencia? Así que tus enemigos serán humillados, y tú hollarás sobre sus alturas.

1And this is the blessing, wherewith Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death.
2And he said, The LORD came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a fiery law for them.
3Yea, he loved the people; all his saints are in thy hand: and they sat down at thy feet; every one shall receive of thy words.
4Moses commanded us a law, even the inheritance of the congregation of Jacob.
5And he was king in Jeshurun, when the heads of the people and the tribes of Israel were gathered together.
6Let Reuben live, and not die; and let not his men be few.
7And this is the blessing of Judah: and he said, Hear, LORD, the voice of Judah, and bring him unto his people: let his hands be sufficient for him; and be thou an help to him from his enemies.
8And of Levi he said, Let thy Thummim and thy Urim be with thy holy one, whom thou didst prove at Massah, and with whom thou didst strive at the waters of Meribah;
9Who said unto his father and to his mother, I have not seen him; neither did he acknowledge his brethren, nor knew his own children: for they have observed thy word, and kept thy covenant.
10They shall teach Jacob thy judgments, and Israel thy law: they shall put incense before thee, and whole burnt sacrifice upon thine altar.
11Bless, LORD, his substance, and accept the work of his hands: smite through the loins of them that rise against him, and of them that hate him, that they rise not again.
12And of Benjamin he said, The beloved of the LORD shall dwell in safety by him; and the Lord shall cover him all the day long, and he shall dwell between his shoulders.
13And of Joseph he said, Blessed of the LORD be his land, for the precious things of heaven, for the dew, and for the deep that coucheth beneath,
14And for the precious fruits brought forth by the sun, and for the precious things put forth by the moon,
15And for the chief things of the ancient mountains, and for the precious things of the lasting hills,
16And for the precious things of the earth and fulness thereof, and for the good will of him that dwelt in the bush: let the blessing come upon the head of Joseph, and upon the top of the head of him that was separated from his brethren.
17His glory is like the firstling of his bullock, and his horns are like the horns of unicorns: with them he shall push the people together to the ends of the earth: and they are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they are the thousands of Manasseh.
18And of Zebulun he said, Rejoice, Zebulun, in thy going out; and, Issachar, in thy tents.
19They shall call the people unto the mountain; there they shall offer sacrifices of righteousness: for they shall suck of the abundance of the seas, and of treasures hid in the sand.
20And of Gad he said, Blessed be he that enlargeth Gad: he dwelleth as a lion, and teareth the arm with the crown of the head.
21And he provided the first part for himself, because there, in a portion of the lawgiver, was he seated; and he came with the heads of the people, he executed the justice of the LORD, and his judgments with Israel.
22And of Dan he said, Dan is a lion’s whelp: he shall leap from Bashan.
23And of Naphtali he said, O Naphtali, satisfied with favour, and full with the blessing of the LORD: possess thou the west and the south.
24And of Asher he said, Let Asher be blessed with children; let him be acceptable to his brethren, and let him dip his foot in oil.
25Thy shoes shall be iron and brass; and as thy days, so shall thy strength be.
26There is none like unto the God of Jeshurun, who rideth upon the heaven in thy help, and in his excellency on the sky.
27The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them.
28Israel then shall dwell in safety alone: the fountain of Jacob shall be upon a land of corn and wine; also his heavens shall drop down dew.
29Happy art thou, O Israel: who is like unto thee, O people saved by the LORD, the shield of thy help, and who is the sword of thy excellency! and thine enemies shall be found liars unto thee; and thou shalt tread upon their high places.

1This is the blessing with which Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death.
2He said, “The LORD came from Sinai, and rose from Seir to them. He shone from Mount Paran. He came from the ten thousands of holy ones. At his right hand was a fiery law for them.
3Yes, he loves the people. All his saints are in your hand. They sat down at your feet. Each receives your words.
4Moses commanded us a law, an inheritance for the assembly of Jacob.
5He was king in Jeshurun, when the heads of the people were gathered, all the tribes of Israel together.
6“Let Reuben live, and not die; Nor let his men be few.”
7This is for Judah. He said, “Hear, LORD, the voice of Judah. Bring him in to his people. With his hands he contended for himself. You shall be a help against his adversaries.”
8About Levi he said, “Your Thummim and your Urim are with your godly one, whom you proved at Massah, with whom you contended at the waters of Meribah.
9He said of his father, and of his mother, ‘I have not seen him.’ He didn’t acknowledge his brothers, nor did he know his own children; for they have observed your word, and keep your covenant.
10They shall teach Jacob your ordinances, and Israel your law. They shall put incense before you, and whole burnt offering on your altar.
11LORD, bless his skills. Accept the work of his hands. Strike through the hips of those who rise up against him, of those who hate him, that they not rise again.”
12About Benjamin he said, “The beloved of the LORD will dwell in safety by him. He covers him all day long. He dwells between his shoulders.”
13About Joseph he said, “His land is blessed by the LORD, for the precious things of the heavens, for the dew, for the deep that couches beneath,
14for the precious things of the fruits of the sun, for the precious things that the moon can yield,
15for the best things of the ancient mountains, for the precious things of the everlasting hills,
16for the precious things of the earth and its fullness, the good will of him who lived in the bush. Let this come on the head of Joseph, on the crown of the head of him who was separated from his brothers.
17Majesty belongs to the firstborn of his herd. His horns are the horns of the wild ox. With them he will push all the peoples to the ends of the earth. They are the ten thousands of Ephraim. They are the thousands of Manasseh.”
18About Zebulun he said, “Rejoice, Zebulun, in your going out; and Issachar, in your tents.
19They will call the peoples to the mountain. There they will offer sacrifices of righteousness, for they will draw out the abundance of the seas, the hidden treasures of the sand.”
20About Gad he said, “He who enlarges Gad is blessed. He dwells as a lioness, and tears the arm and the crown of the head.
21He provided the first part for himself, for the lawgiver’s portion was reserved for him. He came with the heads of the people. He executed the righteousness of the LORD, His ordinances with Israel.”
22About Dan he said, “Dan is a lion’s cub that leaps out of Bashan.”
23About Naphtali he said, “Naphtali, satisfied with favor, full of the LORD’s blessing, Possess the west and the south.”
24About Asher he said, “Asher is blessed with children. Let him be acceptable to his brothers. Let him dip his foot in oil.
25Your bars will be iron and bronze. As your days, so your strength will be.
26“There is no one like God, Jeshurun, who rides on the heavens for your help, in his excellency on the skies.
27The eternal God is your dwelling place. Underneath are the everlasting arms. He thrust out the enemy from before you, and said, ‘Destroy!’
28Israel dwells in safety, the fountain of Jacob alone, In a land of grain and new wine. Yes, his heavens drop down dew.
29You are happy, Israel! Who is like you, a people saved by the LORD, the shield of your help, the sword of your excellency? Your enemies will submit themselves to you. You will tread on their high places.”
