J'implorai l'Éternel à cette époque, en disant:

"Seigneur Éternel déjà tu as rendu ton serviteur témoin de ta grandeur et de la force de ton bras; et quelle est la puissance, dans le ciel ou sur la terre, qui pourrait imiter tes œuvres et tes merveilles?
Señor Jehová, tú has comenzado á mostrar á tu siervo tu grandeza, y tu mano fuerte: porque ¿qué dios hay en el cielo ni en la tierra que haga según tus obras, y según tus valentías?
O Lord GOD, thou hast begun to shew thy servant thy greatness, and thy mighty hand: for what God is there in heaven or in earth, that can do according to thy works, and according to thy might?
“Lord GOD, you have begun to show your servant your greatness, and your strong hand. For what god is there in heaven or in earth that can do works like yours, and mighty acts like yours?
Ah! Laisse-moi traverser, que je voie cet heureux pays qui est au delà du Jourdain, cette belle montagne, et le Liban!"
Pase yo, ruégote, y vea aquella tierra buena, que está á la parte allá del Jordán, aquel buen monte, y el Líbano.
