Deuteronomio 4

"Maintenant donc, ô Israël! Ecoute les lois et les règles que je t'enseigne pour les pratiquer, afin que vous viviez et que vous arriviez à posséder le pays que l'Éternel, Dieu de vos pères, vous donne.

AHORA pues, oh Israel, oye los estatutos y derechos que yo os enseño, para que los ejecutéis, y viváis, y entréis, y poseáis la tierra que Jehová el Dios de vuestros padres te da.

Now therefore hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judgments, which I teach you, for to do them, that ye may live, and go in and possess the land which the LORD God of your fathers giveth you.

Now, Israel, listen to the statutes and to the ordinances which I teach you, to do them, that you may live and go in and possess the land which the LORD, the God of your fathers, gives you.

N'ajoutez rien à ce que je vous prescris et n'en retranchez rien, de manière à observer les commandements de l'Éternel, votre Dieu, tels que je vous les prescris.

No añadiréis á la palabra que yo os mando, ni disminuiréis de ella, para que guardéis los mandamientos de Jehová vuestro Dios que yo os ordeno.

Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.

You shall not add to the word which I command you, neither shall you take away from it, that you may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.

Ce sont vos propres yeux qui ont vu ce que l'Éternel a fait à l'occasion de Baal-Peor: quiconque s'était abandonné à Baal-Peor, l'Éternel, ton Dieu, l'a exterminé du milieu de toi.

Vuestros ojos vieron lo que hizo Jehová con motivo de Baal-peor; que á todo hombre que fué en pos de Baal-peor destruyó Jehová tu Dios de en medio de ti.

Your eyes have seen what the LORD did because of Baal-peor: for all the men that followed Baal-peor, the LORD thy God hath destroyed them from among you.

Your eyes have seen what the LORD did because of Baal Peor; for the LORD your God has destroyed all the men who followed Baal Peor from among you.

Et vous qui êtes restés fidèles à l'Éternel, votre Dieu, vous êtes tous vivants aujourd'hui!

Mas vosotros que os allegasteis á Jehová vuestro Dios, todos estáis vivos hoy.

But ye that did cleave unto the LORD your God are alive every one of you this day.

But you who were faithful to the LORD your God are all alive today.

Voyez, je vous ai enseigné des lois et des statuts, selon ce que m'a ordonné l'Éternel, mon Dieu, afin que vous vous y conformiez dans le pays où vous allez entrer pour le posséder.

Mirad, yo os he enseñado estatutos y derechos, como Jehová mi Dios me mandó, para que hagáis así en medio de la tierra en la cual entráis para poseerla.

Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the LORD my God commanded me, that ye should do so in the land whither ye go to possess it.

Behold, I have taught you statutes and ordinances, even as the LORD my God commanded me, that you should do so in the middle of the land where you go in to possess it.

Observez-les et pratiquez-les! Ce sera là votre sagesse et votre intelligence aux yeux des peuples, car lorsqu'ils auront connaissance de toutes ces lois, ils diront: "Elle ne peut être que sage et intelligente, cette grande nation!"

Guardadlos, pues, y ponedlos por obra: porque esta es vuestra sabiduría y vuestra inteligencia en ojos de los pueblos, los cuales oirán todos estos estatutos, y dirán: Ciertamente pueblo sabio y entendido, gente grande es ésta.

Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.

En effet, où est le peuple assez grand pour avoir des divinités accessibles, comme l'Éternel, notre Dieu, l'est pour nous toutes les fois que nous l'invoquons?

Porque ¿qué gente grande hay que tenga los dioses cercanos á sí, como lo está Jehová nuestro Dios en todo cuanto le pedimos?

For what nation is there so great, who hath God so nigh unto them, as the LORD our God is in all things that we call upon him for?

For what great nation is there that has a god so near to them as the LORD our God is whenever we call on him?

Et où est le peuple assez grand pour posséder des lois et des statuts aussi bien ordonnés que toute cette doctrine que je vous présente aujourd'hui?

Y ¿qué gente grande hay que tenga estatutos y derechos justos, como es toda esta ley que yo pongo hoy delante de vosotros?

And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?

What great nation is there that has statutes and ordinances so righteous as all this law which I set before you today?

Mais aussi garde-toi, et évite avec soin, pour ton salut, d'oublier les événements dont tes yeux furent témoins, de les laisser échapper de ta pensée, à aucun moment de ton existence! Fais-les connaître à tes enfants et aux enfants de tes enfants!

Por tanto, guárdate, y guarda tu alma con diligencia, que no te olvides de las cosas que tus ojos han visto, ni se aparten de tu corazón todos los días de tu vida: y enseñarlas has á tus hijos, y á los hijos de tus hijos;

Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons’ sons;

Only be careful, and keep your soul diligently, lest you forget the things which your eyes saw, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life; but make them known to your children and your children’s children—

N'oublie pas ce jour où tu parus en présence de l'Éternel, ton Dieu, au Horeb, lorsque l'Éternel m'eut dit: "Convoque ce peuple de ma part, je veux leur faire entendre mes paroles, afin qu'ils apprennent à me révérer tant qu'ils vivront sur la terre, et qu'ils l'enseignent à leurs enfants."

El día que estuviste delante de Jehová tu Dios en Horeb, cuando Jehová me dijo: Júntame el pueblo, para que yo les haga oir mis palabras, las cuales aprenderán, para temerme todos los días que vivieren sobre la tierra: y las enseñarán á sus hijos;

Specially the day that thou stoodest before the LORD thy God in Horeb, when the LORD said unto me, Gather me the people together, and I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they shall live upon the earth, and that they may teach their children.

the day that you stood before the LORD your God in Horeb, when the LORD said to me, “Assemble the people to me, and I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they live on the earth, and that they may teach their children.”

Vous vous approchâtes alors, et vous fîtes halte au pied de la montagne; et la montagne était embrasée de feux qui s'élevaient jusqu'au ciel, et voilée de nuages et de brume.

Y os llegasteis, y os pusisteis al pie del monte; y el monte ardía en fuego hasta en medio de los cielos con tinieblas, nube, y oscuridad.

And ye came near and stood under the mountain; and the mountain burned with fire unto the midst of heaven, with darkness, clouds, and thick darkness.

You came near and stood under the mountain. The mountain burned with fire to the heart of the sky, with darkness, cloud, and thick darkness.

Et l'Éternel vous parla du milieu de ces feux; vous entendiez le son des paroles, mais vous ne perceviez aucune image, rien qu'une voix.

Y habló Jehová con vosotros de en medio del fuego: oisteis la voz de sus palabras, mas á excepción de oir la voz, ninguna figura visteis:

And the LORD spake unto you out of the midst of the fire: ye heard the voice of the words, but saw no similitude; only ye heard a voice.

The LORD spoke to you out of the middle of the fire: you heard the voice of words, but you saw no form; you only heard a voice.

Et il vous promulgua son alliance, qu'il vous enjoignait d'observer, à savoir les dix paroles. Puis il les écrivit sur deux tables de pierre.

Y él os anunció su pacto, el cual os mandó poner por obra, las diez palabras; y escribiólas en dos tablas de piedra.

And he declared unto you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, even ten commandments; and he wrote them upon two tables of stone.

Quant à moi, l'Éternel m'ordonna en ce temps-là de vous exposer des lois et des statuts, que vous aurez à observer dans le pays où vous allez pour en prendre possession.

A mí también me mandó Jehová entonces enseñaros los estatutos y derechos, para que los pusieseis por obra en la tierra á la cual pasáis para poseerla.

And the LORD commanded me at that time to teach you statutes and judgments, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go over to possess it.

Prenez donc bien garde à vous-mêmes! Car vous n'avez vu aucune figure, le jour où le Seigneur vous parla sur le Horeb du milieu du feu;

Guardad pues mucho vuestras almas: pues ninguna figura visteis el día que Jehová habló con vosotros de en medio del fuego:

Take ye therefore good heed unto yourselves; for ye saw no manner of similitude on the day that the LORD spake unto you in Horeb out of the midst of the fire:

Be very careful, for you saw no kind of form on the day that the LORD spoke to you in Horeb out of the middle of the fire,

craignez de vous pervertir en vous fabriquant des idoles, représentation ou symbole de quoi que ce soit: image d'un individu mâle ou femelle;

Porque no os corrompáis, y hagáis para vosotros escultura, imagen de figura alguna, efigie de varón ó hembra,

Lest ye corrupt yourselves, and make you a graven image, the similitude of any figure, the likeness of male or female,

lest you corrupt yourselves, and make yourself a carved image in the form of any figure, the likeness of male or female,

image de quelque animal terrestre; image d'un volatile quelconque, qui vole sous le ciel;

Figura de algún animal que sea en la tierra, figura de ave alguna alada que vuele por el aire,

The likeness of any beast that is on the earth, the likeness of any winged fowl that flieth in the air,

the likeness of any animal that is on the earth, the likeness of any winged bird that flies in the sky,

image de ce qui rampe sur le sol, ou de tout poisson qui vit dans les eaux au-dessous de la terre.

Figura de ningún animal que vaya arrastrando por la tierra, figura de pez alguno que haya en el agua debajo de la tierra:

The likeness of any thing that creepeth on the ground, the likeness of any fish that is in the waters beneath the earth:

the likeness of anything that creeps on the ground, the likeness of any fish that is in the water under the earth;

Tu pourrais aussi porter tes regards vers le ciel et, en voyant le soleil, la lune, les étoiles, toute la milice céleste, tu pourrais te laisser induire à te prosterner devant eux et à les adorer: or, c'est l'Éternel, ton Dieu, qui les a donnés en partage à tous les peuples sous le ciel.

Y porque alzando tus ojos al cielo, y viendo el sol y la luna y las estrellas, y todo el ejército del cielo, no seas incitado, y te inclines á ellos, y les sirvas; que Jehová tu Dios los ha concedido á todos los pueblos debajo de todos los cielos.

And lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, shouldest be driven to worship them, and serve them, which the LORD thy God hath divided unto all nations under the whole heaven.

and lest you lift up your eyes to the sky, and when you see the sun and the moon and the stars, even all the army of the sky, you are drawn away and worship them, and serve them, which the LORD your God has allotted to all the peoples under the whole sky.

Mais vous, l'Éternel vous a adoptés, il vous a arrachés de ce creuset de fer, l'Egypte, pour que vous fussiez un peuple lui appartenant, comme vous l'êtes aujourd'hui.

Empero á vosotros Jehová os tomó, y os ha sacado del horno de hierro, de Egipto, para que le seáis por pueblo de heredad como en este día.

But the LORD hath taken you, and brought you forth out of the iron furnace, even out of Egypt, to be unto him a people of inheritance, as ye are this day.

L'Éternel s'est courroucé contre moi à cause de vous; il a juré que je ne franchirai pas le Jourdain que je n'entrerai point dans ce bon pays que l'Éternel, ton Dieu, te donne en héritage.

Y Jehová se enojó contra mí sobre vuestros negocios, y juró que yo no pasaría el Jordán, ni entraría en la buena tierra, que Jehová tu Dios te da por heredad.

Furthermore the LORD was angry with me for your sakes, and sware that I should not go over Jordan, and that I should not go in unto that good land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance:

Ainsi je mourrai dans ce pays-ci, je ne passerai point le Jourdain; mais vous, vous irez, et vous prendrez possession de cette belle contrée.

Así que yo voy á morir en esta tierra; y no paso el Jordán: mas vosotros pasaréis, y poseeréis aquella buena tierra.

But I must die in this land, I must not go over Jordan: but ye shall go over, and possess that good land.

Prenez garde d'oublier l'alliance que l'Éternel, votre Dieu, a contractée avec vous, de vous faire une idole, une image quelconque, que l'Éternel, ton Dieu, t'a défendue.

Guardaos no os olvidéis del pacto de Jehová vuestro Dios, que él estableció con vosotros, y os hagáis escultura ó imagen de cualquier cosa, que Jehová tu Dios te ha vedado.

Take heed unto yourselves, lest ye forget the covenant of the LORD your God, which he made with you, and make you a graven image, or the likeness of any thing, which the LORD thy God hath forbidden thee.

Be careful, lest you forget the covenant of the LORD your God, which he made with you, and make yourselves a carved image in the form of anything which the LORD your God has forbidden you.

Car l'Éternel, ton Dieu, est un feu dévorant, une divinité jalouse!

Porque Jehová tu Dios es fuego que consume, Dios celoso.

For the LORD thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.

For the LORD your God is a devouring fire, a jealous God.

Quand vous aurez engendré des enfants, puis des petits-enfants, et que vous aurez vieilli sur cette terre; si vous dégénérez alors, si vous fabriquez une idole, image d'un être quelconque, faisant ainsi ce qui déplaît à l'Éternel, ton Dieu, et l'offense,

Cuando hubiereis engendrado hijos y nietos, y hubiereis envejecido en la tierra, y os corrompiereis, é hiciereis escultura ó imagen de cualquier cosa, é hiciereis mal en ojos de Jehová vuestro Dios, para enojarlo;

When thou shalt beget children, and children’s children, and ye shall have remained long in the land, and shall corrupt yourselves, and make a graven image, or the likeness of any thing, and shall do evil in the sight of the LORD thy God, to provoke him to anger:

When you father children and children’s children, and you have been long in the land, and then corrupt yourselves, and make a carved image in the form of anything, and do that which is evil in the LORD your God’s sight to provoke him to anger,

j'en prends à témoin contre vous, aujourd'hui, les cieux et la terre, vous disparaîtrez promptement de ce pays pour la possession duquel vous allez passer le Jourdain; vous n'y prolongerez pas vos jours, vous en serez proscrits au contraire!

Yo pongo hoy por testigos al cielo y á la tierra, que presto pereceréis totalmente de la tierra hacia la cual pasáis el Jordán para poseerla: no estaréis en ella largos días sin que seáis destruídos.

I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that ye shall soon utterly perish from off the land whereunto ye go over Jordan to possess it; ye shall not prolong your days upon it, but shall utterly be destroyed.

I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that you will soon utterly perish from off the land which you go over the Jordan to possess it. You will not prolong your days on it, but will utterly be destroyed.

L'Éternel vous dispersera parmi les peuples, et vous serez réduits à un misérable reste au milieu des nations où l'Éternel vous conduira.

Y Jehová os esparcirá entre los pueblos, y quedaréis pocos en número entre las gentes á las cuales os llevará Jehová:

And the LORD shall scatter you among the nations, and ye shall be left few in number among the heathen, whither the LORD shall lead you.

The LORD will scatter you among the peoples, and you will be left few in number among the nations where the LORD will lead you away.

Là, vous serez soumis à ces dieux, œuvre des mains de l'homme, dieux de bois et de pierre, qui ne voient ni n'entendent, qui ne mangent ni ne respirent.

Y serviréis allí á dioses hechos de manos de hombres, á madera y á piedra, que no ven, ni oyen, ni comen, ni huelen.

And there ye shall serve gods, the work of men’s hands, wood and stone, which neither see, nor hear, nor eat, nor smell.

There you will serve gods, the work of men’s hands, wood and stone, which neither see, nor hear, nor eat, nor smell.

C'est alors que tu auras recours à l'Éternel, ton Dieu, et tu le retrouveras, si tu le cherches de tout ton cœur et de toute ton âme.

Mas si desde allí buscares á Jehová tu Dios, lo hallarás, si lo buscares de todo tu corazón y de toda tu alma.

But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.

But from there you shall seek the LORD your God, and you will find him when you search after him with all your heart and with all your soul.

Dans ta détresse, quand tu auras essuyé tous ces malheurs, après de longs jours tu reviendras à l'Éternel, ton Dieu, et tu écouteras sa voix.

Cuando estuviereis en angustia, y te alcanzaren todas estas cosas, si en los postreros días te volvieres á Jehová tu Dios, y oyeres su voz;

When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to the LORD thy God, and shalt be obedient unto his voice;

When you are in oppression, and all these things have come on you, in the latter days you shall return to the LORD your God and listen to his voice.

Car, c'est un Dieu clément que l'Éternel, ton Dieu, il ne te délaissera pas, il ne consommera pas ta perte, et il n'oubliera point l'alliance de tes pères, l'alliance qu'il leur a jurée.

Porque Dios misericordioso es Jehová tu Dios; no te dejará, ni te destruirá, ni se olvidará del pacto de tus padres que les juró.

(For the LORD thy God is a merciful God;) he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them.

For the LORD your God is a merciful God. He will not fail you nor destroy you, nor forget the covenant of your fathers which he swore to them.

De fait, interroge donc les premiers âges, qui ont précédé le tien, depuis le jour où Dieu créa l'homme sur la terre, et d'un bout du ciel jusqu'à l'autre, demande si rien d'aussi grand est encore arrivé, ou si l'on a ouï chose pareille!

Porque pregunta ahora de los tiempos pasados, que han sido antes de ti, desde el día que crió Dios al hombre sobre la tierra, y desde el un cabo del cielo al otro, si se ha hecho cosa semejante á esta gran cosa, ó se haya oído otra como ella.

For ask now of the days that are past, which were before thee, since the day that God created man upon the earth, and ask from the one side of heaven unto the other, whether there hath been any such thing as this great thing is, or hath been heard like it?

For ask now of the days that are past, which were before you, since the day that God created man on the earth, and from the one end of the sky to the other, whether there has been anything as great as this thing is, or has been heard like it?

Quel peuple a entendu, comme tu l'as entendue, la voix de Dieu parlant du sein de la flamme, et a pu vivre?

¿Ha oído pueblo la voz de Dios, que hablase de en medio del fuego, como tú la has oído, y vivido?

Did ever people hear the voice of God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as thou hast heard, and live?

Did a people ever hear the voice of God speaking out of the middle of the fire, as you have heard, and live?

Et quelle divinité entreprit jamais d'aller se chercher un peuple au milieu d'un autre peuple, à force d'épreuves, de signes et de miracles, en combattant d'une main puissante et d'un bras étendu, en imposant la terreur, toutes choses que l'Éternel, votre Dieu, a faites pour vous, en Egypte, à vos yeux?

¿O ha Dios probado á venir á tomar para sí gente de en medio de otra gente, con pruebas, con señales, con milagros, y con guerra, y mano fuerte, y brazo extendido, y grandes espantos, según todas las cosas que hizo con vosotros Jehová vuestro Dios en Egipto ante tus ojos?

Or hath God assayed to go and take him a nation from the midst of another nation, by temptations, by signs, and by wonders, and by war, and by a mighty hand, and by a stretched out arm, and by great terrors, according to all that the LORD your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?

Or has God tried to go and take a nation for himself from among another nation, by trials, by signs, by wonders, by war, by a mighty hand, by an outstretched arm, and by great terrors, according to all that the LORD your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?

Toi, tu as été initié à cette connaissance: que l'Éternel seul est Dieu, qu'il n'en est point d'autre.

A ti te fué mostrado, para que supieses que Jehová él es Dios; no hay más fuera de él.

Unto thee it was shewed, that thou mightest know that the LORD he is God; there is none else beside him.

It was shown to you so that you might know that the LORD is God. There is no one else besides him.

Du haut du ciel il t'a fait entendre sa voix pour te discipliner; sur la terre il t'a fait voir son feu imposant, et du milieu de ce feu tu as entendu ses paroles.

De los cielos te hizo oir su voz, para enseñarte: y sobre la tierra te mostró su gran fuego: y has oído sus palabras de en medio del fuego.

Out of heaven he made thee to hear his voice, that he might instruct thee: and upon earth he shewed thee his great fire; and thou heardest his words out of the midst of the fire.

Out of heaven he made you to hear his voice, that he might instruct you. On earth he made you to see his great fire; and you heard his words out of the middle of the fire.

Et parce qu'il a aimé tes ancêtres, il a adopté leur postérité après eux, et il t'a fait sortir sous ses yeux, par sa toute-puissance, de l'Egypte,

Y por cuanto él amó á tus padres, escogió su simiente después de ellos, y sacóte delante de sí de Egipto con su gran poder;

And because he loved thy fathers, therefore he chose their seed after them, and brought thee out in his sight with his mighty power out of Egypt;

Because he loved your fathers, therefore he chose their offspring after them, and brought you out with his presence, with his great power, out of Egypt;

pour déposséder, à ton profit, des peuples plus grands et plus forts que toi; pour te conduire dans leur pays et te le donner en héritage, comme tu le vois aujourd'hui.

Para echar de delante de ti gentes grandes y más fuertes que tú, y para introducirte, y darte su tierra por heredad, como hoy.

To drive out nations from before thee greater and mightier than thou art, to bring thee in, to give thee their land for an inheritance, as it is this day.

to drive out nations from before you greater and mightier than you, to bring you in, to give you their land for an inheritance, as it is today.

Reconnais à présent, et imprime-le dans ton cœur, que l'Éternel seul est Dieu, dans le ciel en haut comme ici-bas sur la terre, qu'il n'en est point d'autres!

Aprende pues hoy, y reduce á tu corazón que Jehová él es el Dios arriba en el cielo, y abajo sobre la tierra; no hay otro.

Know therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that the LORD he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else.

Know therefore today, and take it to heart, that the LORD himself is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath. There is no one else.

Et tu observeras ses lois et ses commandements, que je te prescris aujourd'hui, pour ton bonheur et pour celui de tes enfants après toi, et afin que ton existence se prolonge sur cette terre que l'Éternel, ton Dieu, te donne à perpétuité."

Y guarda sus estatutos y sus mandamientos, que yo te mando hoy, para que te vaya bien á ti y á tus hijos después de ti, y prolongues tus días sobre la tierra que Jehová tu Dios te da para siempre.

Thou shalt keep therefore his statutes, and his commandments, which I command thee this day, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days upon the earth, which the LORD thy God giveth thee, for ever.

You shall keep his statutes and his commandments which I command you today, that it may go well with you and with your children after you, and that you may prolong your days in the land which the LORD your God gives you for all time.

C'est alors que Moïse désigna trois villes en deçà du Jourdain, à l'orient,

Entonces apartó Moisés tres ciudades de esta parte del Jordán al nacimiento del sol,

Then Moses severed three cities on this side Jordan toward the sunrising;

Then Moses set apart three cities beyond the Jordan toward the sunrise,

pour servir de refuge au meurtrier qui ferait mourir son prochain sans préméditation et sans avoir été précédemment son ennemi, afin qu'en se réfugiant dans une de ces villes, il pût sauver sa vie.

Para que huyese allí el homicida que matase á su prójimo por yerro, sin haber tenido enemistad con él desde ayer ni antes de ayer; y que huyendo á una de estas ciudades salvara la vida:

C'étaient: Bécer, dans le désert, dans le plat pays appartenant à la tribut de Ruben; Ramoth, en Galaad, à la tribu de Gad, et Golân, dans le Basan, à celle de Manassé.

A Beser en el desierto, en tierra de la llanura, de los Rubenitas; y á Ramoth en Galaad, de los Gaditas; y á Golán en Basán, de los de Manasés.

Namely, Bezer in the wilderness, in the plain country, of the Reubenites; and Ramoth in Gilead, of the Gadites; and Golan in Bashan, of the Manassites.

De esta parte del Jordán, en el valle delante de Beth-peor, en la tierra de Sehón rey de los Amorrheos, que habitaba en Hesbón, al cual hirió Moisés con los hijos de Israel, cuando hubieron salido de Egipto:

On this side Jordan, in the valley over against Beth-peor, in the land of Sihon king of the Amorites, who dwelt at Heshbon, whom Moses and the children of Israel smote, after they were come forth out of Egypt:

beyond the Jordan, in the valley opposite Beth Peor, in the land of Sihon king of the Amorites, who lived at Heshbon, whom Moses and the children of Israel struck when they came out of Egypt.

de sorte qu'ils prirent possession de son pays et de celui d'Og, roi du Basan, des pays de ces deux rois des Amorréens, situés en deçà du Jourdain, à l'orient:

depuis Aroer, qui est au bord du torrent d'Arnon, jusqu'à la montagne de Ciôn, autrement le Hermon;

Desde Aroer, que está junto á la ribera del arroyo de Arnón, hasta el monte de Sión, que es Hermón;

From Aroer, which is by the bank of the river Arnon, even unto mount Sion, which is Hermon,

from Aroer, which is on the edge of the valley of the Arnon, even to Mount Siyon (also called Hermon),

et toute la Plaine du côté oriental du Jourdain jusqu'à la mer de la Plaine, sous le versant du Pisga.

Y toda la llanura de esta parte del Jordán, al oriente, hasta la mar del llano, las vertientes de las aguas abajo del Pisga.

And all the plain on this side Jordan eastward, even unto the sea of the plain, under the springs of Pisgah.

and all the Arabah beyond the Jordan eastward, even to the sea of the Arabah, under the slopes of Pisgah.
