Moisés, pues, habiendo convocado a todo Israel, le dijo: Oye, ¡oh Israel!, las ceremonias y leyes que yo propongo a vuestros oídos en el día de hoy; aprendedlas y ponedlas en ejecución.
Y LLAMÓ Moisés á todo Israel, y díjoles: Oye, Israel, los estatutos y derechos que yo pronuncio hoy en vuestros oídos: y aprendedlos, y guardadlos, para ponerlos por obra.

Dios nuestro Señor hizo alianza con nosotros en Horeb:

The LORD talked with you face to face in the mount out of the midst of the fire,

Yo fui en aquel tiempo intérprete y medianero entre el Señor y vosotros para anunciaros sus palabras; porque temisteis aquel gran fuego y no subisteis al monte. Y dijo:
(Yo estaba entonces entre Jehová y vosotros, para denunciaros la palabra de Jehová; porque vosotros tuvisteis temor del fuego, y no subisteis al monte;) diciendo:

Yo soy el Señor Dios tuyo que te saqué de la tierra de Egipto, de la casa de la esclavitud.

I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.

No te esculpirás estatua ni figura ninguna de las cosas que hay arriba en el cielo, o acá abajo en la tierra, o se mantienen en las aguas más abajo de la tierra.
No harás para ti escultura, ni imagen alguna de cosa que está arriba en los cielos, ó abajo en la tierra, ó en las aguas debajo de la tierra:
Thou shalt not make thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waters beneath the earth:

No las adorarás, ni les darás culto: porque yo soy el Señor Dios tuyo, Dios celoso que castigo en los hijos la maldad de los padres hasta la tercera y cuarta generación de los que me aborrecen,

y que uso de misericordia por millares de generaciones con los que me aman y guardan mis mandamientos.

And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me and keep my commandments.

No tomarás en vano el nombre del Señor Dios tuyo; porque no quedará sin castigo el que por una cosa vana, tomare su nombre en falso.

Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain: for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

Cuida de santificar el día de sábado, como te tiene mandado tu Señor Dios.
Guardarás el día del reposo para santificarlo, como Jehová tu Dios te ha mandado.
Keep the sabbath day to sanctify it, as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee.

el día séptimo es día de sábado, esto es, del descanso del Señor Dios tuyo; no harás en él ningún género de trabajo, ni tú, ni tu hijo, ni la hija, ni el esclavo, ni la esclava, ni el buey, ni el asno, ni alguno de tus jumentos, ni el extranjero que se alberga dentro de tus puertas: para que, como tú, descansen también tu siervo y tu sierva.
Mas el séptimo es reposo á Jehová tu Dios: ninguna obra harás tú, ni tu hijo, ni tu hija, ni tu siervo, ni tu sierva, ni tu buey, ni tu asno, ni ningún animal tuyo, ni tu peregrino que está dentro de tus puertas: porque descanse tu siervo y tu sierva como tú.

Acuérdate que tú también fuiste siervo en Egipto, y que de allí te sacó el Señor Dios tuyo con mano poderosa y brazo levantado. Por eso te ha mandado que guardases el día de sábado.
Y acuérdate que fuiste siervo en tierra de Egipto, y que Jehová tu Dios te sacó de allá con mano fuerte y brazo extendido: por lo cual Jehová tu Dios te ha mandado que guardes el día del reposo.
And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the LORD thy God brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore the LORD thy God commanded thee to keep the sabbath day.

Honra a tu padre y a tu madre, como el Señor Dios tuyo te tiene mandado, para que vivas largo tiempo y seas feliz en la tierra que te ha de dar el Señor Dios tuyo.

Neither shalt thou desire thy neighbour’s wife, neither shalt thou covet thy neighbour’s house, his field, or his manservant, or his maidservant, his ox, or his ass, or any thing that is thy neighbour’s.
“You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife. Neither shall you desire your neighbor’s house, his field, or his male servant, or his female servant, his ox, or his donkey, or anything that is your neighbor’s.”
Estas palabras y no más son las que habló en alta voz el Señor a toda vuestra multitud en el monte, desde en medio del fuego y de la tenebrosa nube; y las escribió en las dos tablas de piedra, las cuales me entregó.
Estas palabras habló Jehová á toda vuestra congregación en el monte, de en medio del fuego, de la nube y de la oscuridad, á gran voz: y no añadió más. Y escribiólas en dos tablas de piedra, las cuales me dió á mí.
These words the LORD spake unto all your assembly in the mount out of the midst of the fire, of the cloud, and of the thick darkness, with a great voice: and he added no more. And he wrote them in two tables of stone, and delivered them unto me.

Mas vosotros, después que oísteis aquella voz de en medio de las tinieblas y visteis arder el monte, acudisteis a mí todos los jefes de las tribus y los ancianos, y dijisteis:

And it came to pass, when ye heard the voice out of the midst of the darkness, (for the mountain did burn with fire,) that ye came near unto me, even all the heads of your tribes, and your elders;
When you heard the voice out of the middle of the darkness, while the mountain was burning with fire, you came near to me, even all the heads of your tribes, and your elders;
Ya ves que Dios nuestro Señor nos ha mostrado su majestad y grandeza. Oído hemos su voz de en medio del fuego, y hemos experimentado hoy que Dios ha hablado al hombre, sin que el hombre haya perdido la vida.
Y dijisteis: He aquí, Jehová nuestro Dios nos ha mostrado su gloria y su grandeza, y hemos oído su voz de en medio del fuego: hoy hemos visto que Jehová habla al hombre, y éste vive.
And ye said, Behold, the LORD our God hath shewed us his glory and his greatness, and we have heard his voice out of the midst of the fire: we have seen this day that God doth talk with man, and he liveth.
and you said, “Behold, the LORD our God has shown us his glory and his greatness, and we have heard his voice out of the middle of the fire. We have seen today that God does speak with man, and he lives.
Ahora pues: ¿por qué nos hemos de exponer a morir, y a que nos devore este terrible fuego? Puesto que si proseguimos más oyendo la voz de Dios nuestro Señor, nos costará la vida.
Ahora pues, ¿por qué moriremos? que este gran fuego nos consumirá: si tornáremos á oir la voz de Jehová nuestro Dios, moriremos.
Now therefore why should we die? for this great fire will consume us: if we hear the voice of the LORD our God any more, then we shall die.

¿Qué es el hombre, sea el que fuere, para poder escuchar la voz de Dios viviente hablando de en medio del fuego, como la hemos oído nosotros, y poder conservar la vida?
Porque, ¿qué es toda carne, para que oiga la voz del Dios viviente que habla de en medio del fuego, como nosotros la oímos, y viva?
For who is there of all flesh, that hath heard the voice of the living God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as we have, and lived?

Mejor es que tú te acerques, y oigas todas las cosas que te dijere el Señor Dios nuestro. Tú nos las dirás después a nosotros; y nosotros habiéndolas oído, las cumpliremos.
Llega tú, y oye todas las cosas que dijere Jehová nuestro Dios; y tú nos dirás todo lo que Jehová nuestro Dios te dijere, y nosotros oiremos y haremos.
Go thou near, and hear all that the LORD our God shall say: and speak thou unto us all that the LORD our God shall speak unto thee; and we will hear it, and do it.

Lo cual cuando oyó el Señor me dijo: He oído las palabras que ha dicho ese pueblo; en todo han hablado bien:
Y oyó Jehová la voz de vuestras palabras, cuando me hablabais; y díjome Jehová: He oído la voz de las palabras de este pueblo, que ellos te han hablado: bien está todo lo que han dicho.
And the LORD heard the voice of your words, when ye spake unto me; and the LORD said unto me, I have heard the voice of the words of this people, which they have spoken unto thee: they have well said all that they have spoken.

Ojalá que siempre tengan tal espíritu y corazón, que me teman y guarden todos mis mandamientos en todo tiempo, para que sean felices ellos y sus hijos eternamente.
¡Quién diera que tuviesen tal corazón, que me temiesen, y guardasen todos los días todos mis mandamientos, para que á ellos y á sus hijos les fuese bien para siempre!
O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!

Tú, entretanto, quédate aquí conmigo, y yo te declararé todos mis mandamientos, y las ceremonias y leyes que les has de enseñar, para que las pongan por obra en la tierra cuya posesión les daré.
Y tú estáte aquí conmigo, y te diré todos los mandamientos, y estatutos, y derechos, que les has de enseñar, á fin que los pongan ahora por obra en la tierra que yo les doy para poseerla.
But as for thee, stand thou here by me, and I will speak unto thee all the commandments, and the statutes, and the judgments, which thou shalt teach them, that they may do them in the land which I give them to possess it.

Guardad, pues, y cumplid las cosas que os tiene ordenadas el Señor Dios: no torceréis a la diestra, ni a la siniestra,
Mirad, pues, que hagáis como Jehová vuestro Dios os ha mandado: no os apartéis á diestra ni á siniestra;

sino que andaréis por el camino que Dios vuestro Señor os ha mandado, para que viváis y seáis dichosos, y se prolonguen vuestros días en la tierra que vais a poseer.
