Deuteronomio 6

Estos son los preceptos, y ceremonias, y ordenamientos que me mandó el Señor Dios vuestro enseñaros, para que los observéis en la tierra que vais a poseer,

ESTOS pues son los mandamientos, estatutos, y derechos que Jehová vuestro Dios mandó que os enseñase, para que los pongáis por obra en la tierra á la cual pasáis vosotros para poseerla:

Now these are the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments, which the LORD your God commanded to teach you, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go to possess it:

Now these are the commandments, the statutes, and the ordinances, which the LORD your God commanded to teach you, that you might do them in the land that you go over to possess;

a fin de que temas, ¡oh Israel!, al Señor Dios tuyo, y guardes todos los días de tu vida todos sus mandamientos y preceptos, que yo te ordeno a ti, y a tus hijos y nietos, para que tus días sean prolongados.

Para que temas á Jehová tu Dios, guardando todos sus estatutos y sus mandamientos que yo te mando, tú, y tu hijo, y el hijo de tu hijo, todos los días de tu vida, y que tus días sean prolongados.

That thou mightest fear the LORD thy God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command thee, thou, and thy son, and thy son’s son, all the days of thy life; and that thy days may be prolonged.

that you might fear the LORD your God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command you—you, your son, and your son’s son, all the days of your life; and that your days may be prolonged.

Escucha, ¡oh Israel!, y pon cuidado en hacer lo que el Señor te ha mandado, y te irá bien, y serás multiplicado más y más, según la promesa que te ha hecho el Señor Dios de tus padres de darte una tierra que mana leche y miel.

Oye pues, oh Israel, y cuida de ponerlos por obra, para que te vaya bien, y seáis multiplicados, como te ha dicho Jehová el Dios de tus padres, en la tierra que destila leche y miel.

Hear therefore, O Israel, and observe to do it; that it may be well with thee, and that ye may increase mightily, as the LORD God of thy fathers hath promised thee, in the land that floweth with milk and honey.

Hear therefore, Israel, and observe to do it, that it may be well with you, and that you may increase mightily, as the LORD, the God of your fathers, has promised to you, in a land flowing with milk and honey.

Escucha, ¡oh Israel! El Señor Dios nuestro es el solo y único Dios y Señor.

Oye, Israel: Jehová nuestro Dios, Jehová uno es:

Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:

Hear, Israel: The LORD is our God. The LORD is one.

Amarás, pues, al Señor Dios tuyo, con todo tu corazón, y con toda tu alma, y con todas tus fuerzas.

Y amarás á Jehová tu Dios de todo tu corazón, y de toda tu alma, y con todo tu poder.

And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your might.

Y estos mandamientos, que yo te doy en este día, estarán estampados en tu corazón,

Y estas palabras que yo te mando hoy, estarán sobre tu corazón:

And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:

These words, which I command you today, shall be on your heart;

y los enseñarás a tus hijos, y en ellos meditarás sentado en tu casa, y andando de viaje, y al acostarte, y al levantarte;

Y las repetirás á tus hijos, y hablarás de ellas estando en tu casa, y andando por el camino, y al acostarte, y cuando te levantes:

And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.

and you shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up.

y los has de traer para memoria ligados en tu mano y pendientes en la frente ante tus ojos,

Y has de atarlas por señal en tu mano, y estarán por frontales entre tus ojos:

And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.

You shall bind them for a sign on your hand, and they shall be for frontlets between your eyes.

y escribirlos has en el dintel y puertas de tu casa.

Y las escribirás en los postes de tu casa, y en tus portadas.

And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.

You shall write them on the door posts of your house and on your gates.

Y cuando el Señor Dios tuyo te introdujere en la tierra que prometió con juramento a tus padres Abrahán, Isaac y Jacob , y te diere ciudades grandes y suntuosas, que tú no edificaste,

Y será, cuando Jehová tu Dios te hubiere introducido en la tierra que juró á tus padres Abraham, Isaac, y Jacob, que te daría; en ciudades grandes y buenas que tú no edificaste,

And it shall be, when the LORD thy God shall have brought thee into the land which he sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give thee great and goodly cities, which thou buildedst not,

It shall be, when the LORD your God brings you into the land which he swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give you, great and goodly cities which you didn’t build,

casas llenas de toda suerte de bienes que tú no acumulaste, pozos que tú no cavaste, viñedos y olivares que no plantaste;

Y casas llenas de todo bien, que tú no henchiste, y cisternas cavadas, que tú no cavaste, viñas y olivares que no plantaste: luego que comieres y te hartares,

And houses full of all good things, which thou filledst not, and wells digged, which thou diggedst not, vineyards and olive trees, which thou plantedst not; when thou shalt have eaten and be full;

and houses full of all good things which you didn’t fill, and cisterns dug out which you didn’t dig, vineyards and olive trees which you didn’t plant, and you shall eat and be full;

y comieres y te saciares:

Guárdate que no te olvides de Jehová, que te sacó de tierra de Egipto, de casa de siervos.

Then beware lest thou forget the LORD, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.

then beware lest you forget the LORD, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

cuida con gran diligencia de que no te olvides del Señor que te sacó de la tierra de Egipto, de la casa de la esclavitud. Al Señor Dios tuyo temerás, y a él solo servirás; y cuando hayas de jurar, lo has de hacer por su nombre solamente.

A Jehová tu Dios temerás, y á él servirás, y por su nombre jurarás.

Thou shalt fear the LORD thy God, and serve him, and shalt swear by his name.

You shall fear the LORD your God; and you shall serve him, and shall swear by his name.

No habéis de iros en pos de dioses extranjeros de ninguna nación de las que os rodean.

No andaréis en pos de dioses ajenos, de los dioses de los pueblos que están en vuestros contornos:

Ye shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the people which are round about you;

You shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the peoples who are around you,

Porque Dios es celoso; el Señor tu Dios está en medio de ti; no sea que se irrite el furor del Señor Dios tuyo contra ti, y te extermine de sobre la faz de la tierra.

Porque el Dios celoso, Jehová tu Dios, en medio de ti está; porque no se inflame el furor de Jehová tu Dios contra ti, y te destruya de sobre la haz de la tierra.

(For the LORD thy God is a jealous God among you) lest the anger of the LORD thy God be kindled against thee, and destroy thee from off the face of the earth.

for the LORD your God among you is a jealous God, lest the anger of the LORD your God be kindled against you, and he destroy you from off the face of the earth.

No tentarás al Señor Dios tuyo, como le tentaste en el desierto en el lugar de la Tentación.

No tentaréis á Jehová vuestro Dios, como lo tentasteis en Massa.

Ye shall not tempt the LORD your God, as ye tempted him in Massah.

You shall not tempt the LORD your God, as you tempted him in Massah.

Observa los preceptos del Señor Dios tuyo, y los estatutos y ceremonias que te ha mandado,

Guardad cuidadosamente los mandamientos de Jehová vuestro Dios, y sus testimonios, y sus estatutos, que te ha mandado.

Ye shall diligently keep the commandments of the LORD your God, and his testimonies, and his statutes, which he hath commanded thee.

You shall diligently keep the commandments of the LORD your God, and his testimonies, and his statutes, which he has commanded you.

y haz lo que es agradable y bueno a los ojos del Señor, para que seas feliz, y entres en posesión de la fertilísima tierra que el Señor prometió con juramento a tus padres,

Y harás lo recto y bueno en ojos de Jehová, para que te vaya bien, y entres y poseas la buena tierra que Jehová juró á tus padres;

And thou shalt do that which is right and good in the sight of the LORD: that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest go in and possess the good land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers,

You shall do that which is right and good in the LORD’s sight, that it may be well with you and that you may go in and possess the good land which the LORD swore to your fathers,

asegurándoles que destruirá delante de ti a todos tus enemigos.

Para que él eche á todos tus enemigos de delante de ti, como Jehová ha dicho.

To cast out all thine enemies from before thee, as the LORD hath spoken.

to thrust out all your enemies from before you, as the LORD has spoken.

Y cuando el día de mañana te preguntare tu hijo, diciendo: ¿Qué significan estos estatutos con ceremonias, y leyes que Dios nuestro Señor nos ha mandado,

Cuando mañana te preguntare tu hijo, diciendo: ¿Qué significan los testimonios, y estatutos, y derechos, que Jehová nuestro Dios os mandó?

And when thy son asketh thee in time to come, saying, What mean the testimonies, and the statutes, and the judgments, which the LORD our God hath commanded you?

When your son asks you in time to come, saying, “What do the testimonies, the statutes, and the ordinances, which the LORD our God has commanded you mean?”

le responderás: Nosotros éramos esclavos de Faraón en Egipto, y el Señor nos sacó de allí con mano poderosa,

Entonces dirás á tu hijo: Nosotros éramos siervos de Faraón en Egipto, y Jehová nos sacó de Egipto con mano fuerte;

Then thou shalt say unto thy son, We were Pharaoh’s bondmen in Egypt; and the LORD brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand:

then you shall tell your son, “We were Pharaoh’s slaves in Egypt. The LORD brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand;

haciendo a nuestra vista maravillas y prodigios grandes y terribles contra el faraón y contra toda su corte,

Y dió Jehová señales y milagros grandes y nocivos en Egipto, sobre Faraón y sobre toda su casa, delante de nuestros ojos;

And the LORD shewed signs and wonders, great and sore, upon Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his household, before our eyes:

and the LORD showed great and awesome signs and wonders on Egypt, on Pharaoh, and on all his house, before our eyes;

y nos sacó de allí para introducirnos y darnos la posesión de la tierra, que prometió con juramento a nuestros padres.

Y sacónos de allá, para traernos y darnos la tierra que juró á nuestros padres;

And he brought us out from thence, that he might bring us in, to give us the land which he sware unto our fathers.

and he brought us out from there, that he might bring us in, to give us the land which he swore to our fathers.

Por lo cual nos mandó el Señor practicar todas estas leyes, y temer al Señor Dios nuestro, para que seamos felices todos los días de nuestra vida, como lo somos hoy.

Y mandónos Jehová que ejecutásemos todos estos estatutos, y que temamos á Jehová nuestro Dios, porque nos vaya bien todos los días, y para que nos dé vida, como hoy.

And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.

Y el Señor Dios nuestro tendrá misericordia de nosotros, y nos llenará de bienes si guardáremos y cumpliéremos delante de él todos sus preceptos, como nos ha mandado.

Y tendremos justicia cuando cuidáremos de poner por obra todos estos mandamientos delante de Jehová nuestro Dios, como él nos ha mandado.

And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before the LORD our God, as he hath commanded us.

It shall be righteousness to us, if we observe to do all these commandments before the LORD our God, as he has commanded us.”
