1Das ganze Gebot, das ich dir heute gebiete, sollt ihr beobachten, es zu tun; auf daß ihr lebet und euch mehret und hineinkommet und das Land in Besitz nehmet, welches Jehova euren Vätern zugeschworen hat.
2Und du sollst gedenken des ganzen Weges, den Jehova, dein Gott, dich hat wandern lassen diese vierzig Jahre in der Wüste, um dich zu demütigen, um dich zu versuchen, um zu erkennen, was in deinem Herzen ist, ob du seine Gebote beobachten würdest oder nicht.
3Und er demütigte dich und ließ dich hungern; und er speiste dich mit dem Man, das du nicht kanntest und das deine Väter nicht kannten, um dir kundzutun, daß der Mensch nicht von Brot allein lebt, sondern daß der Mensch von allem lebt, was aus dem Munde Jehovas hervorgeht.
4Dein Kleid ist nicht an dir zerfallen, und dein Fuß ist nicht geschwollen diese vierzig Jahre.
5So erkenne in deinem Herzen, daß, wie ein Mann seinen Sohn züchtigt, Jehova, dein Gott, dich züchtigt;
6Und beobachte die Gebote Jehovas, deines Gottes, um auf seinen Wegen zu wandeln und ihn zu fürchten.
7Denn Jehova, dein Gott, bringt dich in ein gutes Land, ein Land von Wasserbächen, Quellen und Gewässern, die in der Niederung und im Gebirge entspringen;
8ein Land von Weizen und Gerste und Weinstöcken und Feigenbäumen und Granatbäumen;
9ein Land von ölreichen Olivenbäumen und Honig; ein Land in welchem du nicht in Dürftigkeit Brot essen wirst, in welchem es dir an nichts mangeln wird; ein Land, dessen Steine Eisen sind, und aus dessen Bergen du Erz hauen wirst.
10Und hast du gegessen und bist satt geworden, so sollst du Jehova, deinen Gott, für das gute Land preisen, das er dir gegeben hat.
11Hüte dich, daß du Jehovas, deines Gottes, nicht vergessest, so daß du nicht beobachtest seine Gebote und seine Rechte und seine Satzungen, die ich dir heute gebiete!
12Damit nicht, wenn du issest und satt wirst, und schöne Häuser baust und bewohnst,
13und dein Rind-und dein Kleinvieh sich mehrt, und Silber und Gold sich dir mehren, und alles, was du hast, sich mehrt,
14dein Herz sich erhebe, und du Jehovas, deines Gottes, vergessest, der dich aus dem Lande Ägypten, aus dem Hause der Knechtschaft, herausführte;
15der dich wandern ließ in der großen und schrecklichen Wüste, wo feurige Schlangen und Skorpione sind, und Dürre, wo kein Wasser ist; der dir Wasser aus dem Kieselfelsen hervorbrachte;
16der dich in der Wüste mit Man speiste, welches deine Väter nicht kannten, um dich zu demütigen und um dich zu versuchen, damit er dir wohltue an deinem Ende,
17und du in deinem Herzen sprechest: Meine Kraft und die Stärke meiner Hand hat mir dieses Vermögen geschafft!
18Sondern du sollst Jehovas, deines Gottes, gedenken, daß er es ist, der dir Kraft gibt, Vermögen zu schaffen; auf daß er seinen Bund aufrecht halte, den er deinen Vätern geschworen hat, wie es an diesem Tage ist.
19Und es wird geschehen, wenn du irgend Jehovas, deines Gottes, vergissest und anderen Göttern nachgehst und ihnen dienst und dich vor ihnen niederbeugst, ich zeuge heute gegen euch, daß ihr gewißlich umkommen werdet;
20wie die Nationen, welche Jehova vor euch vernichtet hat, also werdet ihr umkommen, dafür daß ihr auf die Stimme Jehovas, eures Gottes, nicht höret.

1CUIDARÉIS de poner por obra todo mandamiento que yo os ordeno hoy, porque viváis, y seáis multiplicados, y entréis, y poseáis la tierra, de la cual juró Jehová á vuestros padres.
2Y acordarte has de todo el camino por donde te ha traído Jehová tu Dios estos cuarenta años en el desierto, para afligirte, por probarte, para saber lo que estaba en tu corazón, si habías de guardar ó no sus mandamientos.
3Y te afligió, é hízote tener hambre, y te sustentó con maná, comida que no conocías tú, ni tus padres la habían conocido; para hacerte saber que el hombre no vivirá de solo pan, mas de todo lo que sale de la boca de Jehová vivirá el hombre.
4Tu vestido nunca se envejeció sobre ti, ni el pie se te ha hinchado por estos cuarenta años.
5Reconoce asimismo en tu corazón, que como castiga el hombre á su hijo, así Jehová tu Dios te castiga.
6Guardarás, pues, los mandamientos de Jehová tu Dios, andando en sus caminos, y temiéndolo.
7Porque Jehová tu Dios te introduce en la buena tierra, tierra de arroyos, de aguas, de fuentes, de abismos que brotan por vegas y montes;
8Tierra de trigo y cebada, y de vides, é higueras, y granados; tierra de olivas, de aceite, y de miel;
9Tierra en la cual no comerás el pan con escasez, no te faltará nada en ella; tierra que sus piedras son hierro, y de sus montes cortarás metal.
10Y comerás y te hartarás, y bendecirás á Jehová tu Dios por la buena tierra que te habrá dado.
11Guárdate, que no te olvides de Jehová tu Dios, para no observar sus mandamientos, y sus derechos, y sus estatutos, que yo te ordeno hoy:
12Que quizá no comas y te hartes, y edifiques buenas casas en que mores,
13Y tus vacas y tus ovejas se aumenten, y la plata y el oro se te multiplique, y todo lo que tuvieres se te aumente,
14Y se eleve luego tu corazón, y te olvides de Jehová tu Dios, que te sacó de tierra de Egipto, de casa de siervos;
15Que te hizo caminar por un desierto grande y espantoso, de serpientes ardientes, y de escorpiones, y de sed, donde ningún agua había, y él te sacó agua de la roca del pedernal;
16Que te sustentó con maná en el desierto, comida que tus padres no habían conocido, afligiéndote y probándote, para á la postre hacerte bien;
17Y digas en tu corazón: Mi poder y la fortaleza de mi mano me han traído esta riqueza.
18Antes acuérdate de Jehová tu Dios: porque él te da el poder para hacer las riquezas, á fin de confirmar su pacto que juró á tus padres, como en este día.
19Mas será, si llegares á olvidarte de Jehová tu Dios, y anduvieres en pos de dioses ajenos, y les sirvieres, y á ellos te encorvares, protéstolo hoy contra vosotros, que de cierto pereceréis.
20Como las gentes que Jehová destruirá delante de vosotros, así pereceréis; por cuanto no habréis atendido á la voz de Jehová vuestro Dios.

1All the commandments which I command thee this day shall ye observe to do, that ye may live, and multiply, and go in and possess the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers.
2And thou shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no.
3And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.
4Thy raiment waxed not old upon thee, neither did thy foot swell, these forty years.
5Thou shalt also consider in thine heart, that, as a man chasteneth his son, so the LORD thy God chasteneth thee.
6Therefore thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to fear him.
7For the LORD thy God bringeth thee into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and depths that spring out of valleys and hills;
8A land of wheat, and barley, and vines, and fig trees, and pomegranates; a land of oil olive, and honey;
9A land wherein thou shalt eat bread without scarceness, thou shalt not lack any thing in it; a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills thou mayest dig brass.
10When thou hast eaten and art full, then thou shalt bless the LORD thy God for the good land which he hath given thee.
11Beware that thou forget not the LORD thy God, in not keeping his commandments, and his judgments, and his statutes, which I command thee this day:
12Lest when thou hast eaten and art full, and hast built goodly houses, and dwelt therein;
13And when thy herds and thy flocks multiply, and thy silver and thy gold is multiplied, and all that thou hast is multiplied;
14Then thine heart be lifted up, and thou forget the LORD thy God, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage;
15Who led thee through that great and terrible wilderness, wherein were fiery serpents, and scorpions, and drought, where there was no water; who brought thee forth water out of the rock of flint;
16Who fed thee in the wilderness with manna, which thy fathers knew not, that he might humble thee, and that he might prove thee, to do thee good at thy latter end;
17And thou say in thine heart, My power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth.
18But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.
19And it shall be, if thou do at all forget the LORD thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that ye shall surely perish.
20As the nations which the LORD destroyeth before your face, so shall ye perish; because ye would not be obedient unto the voice of the LORD your God.
World English Bible
1You shall observe to do all the commandments which I command you today, that you may live, and multiply, and go in and possess the land which the LORD swore to your fathers.
2You shall remember all the way which the LORD your God has led you these forty years in the wilderness, that he might humble you, to test you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep his commandments or not.
3He humbled you, allowed you to be hungry, and fed you with manna, which you didn’t know, neither did your fathers know, that he might teach you that man does not live by bread only, but man lives by every word that proceeds out of the LORD’s mouth.
4Your clothing didn’t grow old on you, neither did your foot swell, these forty years.
5You shall consider in your heart that as a man disciplines his son, so the LORD your God disciplines you.
6You shall keep the commandments of the LORD your God, to walk in his ways, and to fear him.
7For the LORD your God brings you into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of springs, and underground water flowing into valleys and hills;
8a land of wheat, barley, vines, fig trees, and pomegranates; a land of olive trees and honey;
9a land in which you shall eat bread without scarcity, you shall not lack anything in it; a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills you may dig copper.
10You shall eat and be full, and you shall bless the LORD your God for the good land which he has given you.
11Beware lest you forget the LORD your God, in not keeping his commandments, his ordinances, and his statutes, which I command you today;
12lest, when you have eaten and are full, and have built fine houses and lived in them;
13and when your herds and your flocks multiply, and your silver and your gold is multiplied, and all that you have is multiplied;
14then your heart might be lifted up, and you forget the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage;
15who led you through the great and terrible wilderness, with venomous snakes and scorpions, and thirsty ground where there was no water; who poured water for you out of the rock of flint;
16who fed you in the wilderness with manna, which your fathers didn’t know, that he might humble you, and that he might prove you, to do you good at your latter end;
17and lest you say in your heart, “My power and the might of my hand has gotten me this wealth.”
18But you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he swore to your fathers, as it is today.
19It shall be, if you shall forget the LORD your God, and walk after other gods, and serve them and worship them, I testify against you today that you shall surely perish.
20As the nations that the LORD makes to perish before you, so you shall perish, because you wouldn’t listen to the LORD your God’s voice.
