ehe zerrissen wird die silberne Schnur, und zerschlagen die goldene Schale, und zerbrochen der Eimer am Quell, und zerschlagen die Schöpfwelle an der Zisterne;

Antes que la cadena de plata se quiebre, y se rompa el cuenco de oro, y el cántaro se quiebre junto á la fuente, y la rueda sea rota sobre el pozo;

Or ever the silver cord be loosed, or the golden bowl be broken, or the pitcher be broken at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the cistern.
