Eclesiastés 12

Et, durant les jours de ta jeunesse, souviens-toi de Celui qui t'a créé ; avant que les jours de l'adversité soient venus, avant que tu sois surpris par les années, où tu diras : Je n'ai point en elles de plaisir ;

Y ACUÉRDATE de tu Criador en los días de tu juventud, antes que vengan los malos días, y lleguen los años, de los cuales digas, No tengo en ellos contentamiento;

Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them;

avant que le soleil et la lumière s'obscurcissent, et la terre et les étoiles ; avant que les nuées succèdent à la pluie ;

Antes que se oscurezca el sol, y la luz, y la luna y las estrellas, y las nubes se tornen tras la lluvia:

While the sun, or the light, or the moon, or the stars, be not darkened, nor the clouds return after the rain:

comme il arrivera le jour où les gardiens de la maison trembleront ; où les hommes les plus forts plieront le dos ; où les esclaves attachés à la meule s'arrêteront faute de force ; où celles qui regarderont par la fenêtre ne verront que ténèbres ;

Cuando temblarán los guardas de la casa, y se encorvarán los hombres fuertes, y cesarán las muelas, porque han disminuído, y se oscurecerán los que miran por las ventanas;

quand les portes de la bouche se fermeront, parce que la voix de celle qui avait accoutumé de moudre sera affaiblie ; qu'on se lèvera au chant du passereau, et que les filles de l'harmonie ne pourront l'entendre ;

où on lèvera les yeux, et où on aura des terreurs dans le chemin ; où l'amandier sera en fleur ; où les sauterelles se multiplieront ; où le câprier tombera en poussière, parce que l'homme sera en marche pour sa demeure éternelle, et que sur la place publique iront çà et là des gens en pleurs ;

Vanité des vanités, a dit l'Ecclésiaste, tout est vanité.

Et de plus, comme l'Ecclésiaste était très sage, il enseigna la science à l'homme ; et l'oreille découvrira le sens voilé des paraboles.

L'Ecclésiaste a cherché avec soin pour trouver des paroles de bonne volonté, des écrits de justice, des paroles de vérité.

The words of the wise are as goads, and as nails fastened by the masters of assemblies, which are given from one shepherd.

Et il est profitable, ô mon fils, de les garder ; à faire beaucoup de livres, il n'y a point de fin ; et trop d'étude est fatigue de la chair.

Ahora, hijo mío, á más de esto, sé avisado. No hay fin de hacer muchos libros; y el mucho estudio aflicción es de la carne.

Écoute la conclusion, le résumé de ce discours ; crains Dieu, et garde Ses commandements, car c'est là tout l'homme.

El fin de todo el discurso oído es este: Teme á Dios, y guarda sus mandamientos; porque esto es el todo del hombre.

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

This is the end of the matter. All has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments; for this is the whole duty of man.

En effet, Dieu appellera en jugement chaque œuvre, chaque chose qui aura été négligée, bonne ou mauvaise.

Porque Dios traerá toda obra á juicio, el cual se hará sobre toda cosa oculta, buena ó mala.

For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
